Someone's father someone's mother
Someone else's dear sweet lover
Yet another's closest friend
Once said they'd be there till the end
Him or her, yours or theirs
Shinigami rarely cares
Now that you've laid down to sleep
He is the one, your soul he'll keep
For in the quiet of the night
Heedless of your wrongs or rights
Keeper of darkness deep within
Holder of what's beneath the skin.
He shall come to reap the souls
That he bought; to him they're sold
In the cloak of the dark
He shall douse another's spark
