Aerith's sacrifice
i am all alone, in a dark lonely place.
knowing
the evil that i must face.
i
only left you so you could live.
please
understand the sacrifice i give.
i am
kneeling now, ready to pray,
for
the world to have another day.
now
you are here, we're face to face.
just
you and me in this dark lonely place,
you
reach out your hand. i reach out mine.
but
just then we hear a whine.
closer
it comes, and closer still.
until
it overcomes our every will.
you
look up, but a moment too late.
now
this sound has sealed my fate.
this
sound above was not a moth,
but a
sword of evil wielded by sephiroth,
i
died by his hand, now you vow,
to
get revenge no matter how,
you
carry me off, then away we go,
to
the waters down below,
then
i am laid down to rest,
knowing
that i fulfilled my quest.
you
kiss my lips with a broken heart,
wondering
why i played such a part.
then
you let go with nothing of me,
Save
my white materia and memories running free.
i
fall to the bottom of the water's floor.
while
you are wishing you knew me more.
you
have searched the world with all your might,
and
finaly found sephiroth with whom you'll fight.
when
sephiroth killed me he thought he had won.
but
he now found out he is forever done.
now
cloud strife and his friends,
have
nothing to do but watch the world end.
for
sephiroth sommoned a meteor from space.
now
this planet will join aerith's place.
but
out of the darkness comes a blinding light.
to
push back the meteor with aerith's might!
and
now cloud knows the light that he saw,
was
aerith's prayer strong and without flaw.
cloud
knows he loved her,
cloud
know's she was smart,
but
cloud will always remember her undyeing part.
this
