Disclaimer: To bad I don't own Harry Potter. In fact I don't
own anything in this story. Not even the song on the end. I got that off a tape
I listened to when I was little. So don't sue me, okay, I don't have much, worth
keeping anyway. Only, um my room, all the junk in that, and my puny little bank
account. Oh, and my 650 books. Just don't sue me, 'cause I don't own anything in
this story.
A memory walked the halls of
Hogwarts alone. She paused every once in a while to reflect on her old life.
When she got to the portrait of the Fat Lady, she paused, and then walked right
through.
She
was only a memory. Not really there. Not even a ghost. No one could even see
her. No one could even hear her. Not even the ghosts.
She walked
up the stairs to the boy's dormitory. Tenderly she stroked her sons face. Her
hand went right through. She bit her lip, but tears streamed down her gray face.
How she longed to talk to him. To hold him. Just once. Just one word…
Then strong arms wrapped around her. She looked up. Still crying, she
turned around. " Oh, James," she said and she hugged him and cried. They stood
there for a long time, tears running down Lily's gray cheeks. Then James
whispered in her ear., "Come on Lily, lets go for a walk."
They left Hogwarts and wandered through The Forbidden Forest. Then they
came back, but when they got the edge of the lake, they paused. Then a slow but
gentle song began to fill the air. James grinned, "May I have this dance?" Lily
razed her tear stained face, "Yes," she whispered. They danced until they found
them selves in the middle of the lake. Lily looked at James, "James," she
whispered, "promise me you will never leave me. I don't know if I can survive
being what I am, only a memory, without you ." James grinned and tried to joke,
"Lily, you ruined my plans! Bertha, and I were planning to run off tomorrow
night!" "James! I'm serious!" He
tightened his grip around her, he looked into her eyes, "Lily, you know I won't.
I love you. I wouldn't." Lily nodded. "I love you to," she whispered.
As the two
of them began to dance around the lake, Lily began to sing a old song, her
mother once sung to her and she sung to Harry, "Take a sliver strand of a
spiders web, and spin, spin, spin, sliver wings to fly your self upon the wind.
High above the trees, across the seas, and through the skies, till the rainbows
end, where stories never end, and dreams never die…and dreams never
die…"
Now that you've read it, It's pretty pointless not to review.
