O' ship of mine that I love so much
Why won't you leave the ground a touch?
Once you started to fly up high
But you crashed back down to die
To shut down forever along with my hope
Now I struggle to simply cope
With all the hell my life deals me
& All the pain & suffering I see
And dammit I don't know anymore
Of what life has in store
And DAMN how I wish Shinra would go away
To turn their tail & bother me another day
Today I met these misfit heroes
But I actually joined this group of zeros
Like a SOLDIER boy named Cloud Strife
A flower girl who gave her life
A babe bar hostess from AVALANCHE
A 7 foot father who led that branch
A half human ex-Turk always brooding &
dark
An Indian fire-lion with a tattoo mark
A ninja thief who'd steal her own dog
& A cat who tells fortunes from atop a toy
mog
I've lived through lots of torment &
strife
I've seen my best friends loose a lot in life
Like these misfits hero's
I thought were zero's
They all lost something to hate & war
But the flower girl lost something more
I think it is safe to say
That all of us just may
Wish that it was us in place
Of the flower girl with the pretty face
She was the kindest person I had ever met
& She probably had the most to regret
But she gave of herself again & again
To make us feel better times ten
So, these misfit heroes
I thought were zeros
Befriended me & made my dream come true
They vanquished a madman & the Shinra crew
Yes, my dream has come true
I flew in my Rocket past the great blue
To the black of space & the stars it holds
I got to see the birth of METEOR unfold
I'm proud as hell to call them my friends
& Even now as the world ends
I'm proud as hell that the misfits are my
friends
