So a sequel has been requested for Somepup for Everypup. I enjoyed writing it so much I thought I'd give it a go and see how it's received. I have begun planning and if the plan continues I can guarantee laughter and tears. That said, here we go…

CHAPTER 1

It's been six months since the previous story ended. Some things change, some things stay the same. Chase and Skye are still madly in love and chasing each other to the point that Marshall has had to step up his equipment to keep up hosing them so often. Marshall and Everest are pretty much the same. Marshall has been spending more and more time at Jake's Mountain and often responding from there. Rocky and Yeshi are lost in love and spend equal time at the retreat site and The Lookout.

The big changes are that Katie and Ryder have officially started dating not that anyone was really surprised but the pups kept catching them sneaking into Ryder's room during TV and Movie nights and Chase and Rocky finally talked them into just admitting it. Rubble has just about completed the Retreat and ended up hiring workers from Adventure City and Foggy Bottom to assist. Rocky designed the dorms to be built at the Lookout as well as a smaller house for Himself and Yeshi, Marshall and Everest at Jake's Mountain. The pups all contributed and agreed. Jake met a girl at a recent conference and she followed him home to see the lodge and fell in love with Adventure Bay and of course Jake. Zuma took Mr. Lariat's advice to heart and opened a Surf Shop in his off time. He started a surf club and is coaching the local high school surfing team. Sunny has been super busy getting Jake's Books in order and starting Toby's.

This particular day Obi came walking into the Lookout.

"Oh, hey Obi" said Skye looking up from a pup pad she was watching an aviation documentary on the science channel.

"Hey Skye," said Obi, appearing a little nervous and appearing to be looking around for someone.

"Uh, Rubble's not here," said Skye "I'm pretty sure he and most of the boys are up at the retreat. Zuma of course is at the beach."

"S-so no one else is here?" said Obi shyly.

"Just Ryder," laughed Skye "He's probably playing video games on his puppad. Did you need someone in particular."

"Actually, I wanted to talk to you," said Obi.

"Me?" Skye said and turned off the pup pad. "Is something wrong Obi?"

"Well," stammered Obi "Not wrong necessarily, just I'm feeling weird lately and I wanted to talk to you. You and Chase are so in love and seem so great together. I just, uh, I…"

"Are you asking about how you feel about Rubble?" asked Skye, moving over and sitting next to Obi.

"Yes, but I don't have any siblings and Matthew is no help," laughed Obi. "He can tell you everything you ever did or didn't want to know about Star Wars, but nothing about relationships."

"So I guess the first thing to ask is, how Do you feel about Rubble?" asked Skye.

Obi stared at her paws, "I think I love him. I get a weird feeling when he looks at me. I haven't ever felt this way before."

"That's great Obi," said Skye "What about Rubble? Has he said anything?"

"That's the problem," whimpered Obi. "He laughs and jokes with me, but he hasn't said how he feels. I don't know what to do."

"Well, you could tell him how you feel," laughed Skye. "It took Chase years to finally tell me he loved me. Everyone in town knew it but him. I sometimes wish I had just told him and saved the headaches of waiting."

"What if he only wants to be friends?" whimpered Obi.

"How about I have Chase and the boys ask him how he feels," asked Skye "I won't tell them why unless you want me to. Then maybe we can decide what to do next. I think he likes you a lot, but he has always been the little brother to everyone here."

"If you think they would," said Obi "I just want to know if he feels the same."

*** Meanwhile at Jake's Mountain ***

The boys were helping Rubble with some construction work. They had been setting the roof beams on the main hall and finally got everything in place and secure. They decided it was time for lunch and were sitting around talking.

"Chase, can I talk to you?" asked Rubble.

"Of course buddy," said Chase "you can come to me about anything."

"It's just you and Skye have always been so cute together," said Rubble. "I've often been jealous of how you two hit it off."

"Really," blushed Chase. "You were jealous of me? I almost messed our relationship up several times. I almost waited too long."

"Really?" asked Rubble. "I thought you were always together."

"No I was really shy," laughed Chase "I was all but forced by Marshall to tell her how I felt. But why do you ask? Are you and Obi finally dating?"

"That's just it," said Rubble "I like her a lot, I might even love her. But I've never had a girlfriend before. I've watched all of you guys and all but that's as close as I come to understanding what's going on."

"So you like her," said Chase "Have you told her yet?"

"No, honestly I'm not really sure," said Rubble "I get a weird feeling when she smiles at me. I feel all weird inside and my tummy growls. At first I just thought I was hungry because, well I'm always hungry. But I can't help but notice it's a different feeling than normal."

"Well, it definitely sounds like you at least have a crush on her," said Chase. "All I can say is don't put off telling her how you feel. I wasted a lot of time being nervous about asking Skye."

"What if she doesn't feel the same?" whimpered Rubble. "What if she only thinks of me as a friend?"

"How about I ask Skye to ask her without telling her how you feel?" asked Chase.

"Oh, ok." said Rubble.

"Ok well, was that all?" asked Chase.

"Well," said Rubble, staring at his paws.

"What?" asked Chase "Was there something else?"

"Nevermind you'll think I'm weird," said Rubble.

"Rubble, I think we're all weird," laughed Chase. "Trust me, you can ask me anything."

"Well have you ever woke up and your, um, you know, is really hard?" muttered Rubble.

"Your what?" started Chase "Oh, your uh, thing. Yeah, all boys have that probl… oh uh wow, I uh, I think you should probably ask Ryder about that."

"Why, I thought you said I could ask anything?" said Rubble.

"Well, has Ryder had the talk with you yet?" asked Chase.

"What talk?" asked Rubble ""You mean where do Puppies come from? Yeah sort of, I asked and he explained that, It didn't make sense back then but I understand better now. But what does that have to do with my having weird dreams and waking up, uh, stiff?"

Chase laughed, "It's not weird Rubble. I reacted much the same. I didn't have anyone other than Ryder to ask. I'm sorry, I just wasn't ready to explain the whole puppy thing. I'm not a dad yet, and I kind of dread that part."

"So what?" said Rubble, "Why does that happen?"

"Ok well, when a pup grows and becomes older their bodies do weird things." explained Chase

"I thought you said it wasn't weird," said Rubble.

"I said you're not weird," said Chase. "Anyway your body is growing and you're moving on to become a grown dog. Part of that is when you come of age, you will start noticing things differently about other pups."

"Like how good her fur smells," asked Rubble "Or how her smile makes me feel funny?"

"Exactly," said Chase.

"Hey," said Marshall walking up. "What are two talking about?"

"Uh, nothing important," said Chase.

"It's ok, Chase," said Rubble. "I was telling him that I have been feeling weird some mornings and he was telling me about growing up."

"Oh, that's go…" yipped Marshall, "Chase you're doing the big brother thing. That's so cool. Rubble he helped me too."

"What are y'all talking about?" asked Rocky, walking over.

"Rubble's finally coming of age," said Marshall. "Chase is giving the 'big brother' talk."

"Cool, Zuma gave it to me," said Rocky "Congrats to the world of confusion. I thought I was going crazy. I didn't know how to talk or what to do when it came to Yeshi. Rubble, my best advice is 'be yourself, that's what they like.'"

"Anyway," said Chase. And he continued to explain pup puberty to Rubble. Marshall and Rocky sat back and watched, speaking between each other.

"Wow, he explained that so much better than Zuma did," said Rocky.

"Yes," said Marshall, "he's gotten better over the years."

"Guys!" said Chase "You're not making this easier."

"Sorry," said Marshall and Rocky. "You are doing great," said Rocky, giving Chase a thumbs up.

"Thanks, I guess," said Chase "Did you have anything to add?"

"No, I think you got the important parts," said Marshall. "It's hard to believe our Rubble is growing up."

Rubble just stared at Chase.

"Rubble?" asked Rocky "Are you ok?"

"Uh, I'm uh" stammered Rubble.

"Did I go too far?" asked Chase.

"Well, How about you let me try," said Rocky. "I think I understand this part better than you guys might. I reacted much the same."

"Oh ok," said Chase

"Rubble," started Rocky, "Chase was trying to explain everything at once. It can be overwhelming when you are new to relationships. I over analyzed what I was told at the time. I thought Zuma was telling me that I wouldn't be able to control my urges. That was not the case. Toby then said to take the information as research data and understand that they just wanted us to understand that what we felt was normal and that we just shouldn't rush into anything. Zuma's advice was 'let it come naturally. Just be you.'"

"Ok, I still think I'm confused," said Rubble.

"It's ok," laughed Marshall "Everest and I have been mates for a while now. I'm still confused half the time."

"Another thing Zuma told me," said Rocky "We're not supposed to understand how girls think. We are supposed to keep them happy, make them feel safe, and be their lovers."'

"I'm a tuff pup. I can make her feel safe" laughed Rubble. "Make her happy, I can do. But be her lover, I have no idea what to do."

"You're a dog," said Chase "When the time comes you'll know what to do. It's instinct, you can't help yourself. You might have to stop yourself if anything. But remember you might have to stop her. Girls can start it also. Remember no means no, on both sides."

"Ha!" laughed Rocky "Zuma said almost the exact same thing."

"Where do you think he got it?" laughed Chase "I gave him the talk about 25 weekend girlfriends ago."

"Yeah," laughed Marshall, 'It was a good run. Sunny is incredible don't get me wrong. But he was a legend among pups and young boys for that matter."

They all laughed at that.

"Thanks guys," said Rubble "You are all the best big brothers anyone could ask for."

*** Back at the Lookout ***

"So are boys all crazy sex fends once puberty hits?" asked Obi.

"What?" asked Skye "Who told you that?"

"I read a story online," said Obi

"Hey girls, what's up?" asked Everest walking in.

"Oh, We were just talking," said Skye

"It's ok," said Obi "I trust all of you girls. I was just asking Skye about boys and how to figure out if Rubble likes me as much as I like him."

"Oh wow," said Everest "So you two are about to start dating officially?"

"Well," said Obi "I don't know how he feels. And up until earlier, I wasn't really sure what to do if he said yes."

"What?" asked Everest, tilting her head in confusion.

"Well," said Skye "Obi, hasn't had anyone to talk to or learn from."

"You've been around for a while now," said Everest. "Why haven't you come to either of us before now?"

"You two are so cool," said Obi. "I felt like such a puppy around you. You both are so awesome. You've both done so many rescues and been the female team members for a long time. I'm no one. You are both so beautiful and I'm a squatty bulldog."

"Never tell yourself anything like that" said Skye "you're a beautiful English Bulldog and look just like you're supposed to. And while we have done many rescues, we were new once also."

"Hey girls," said Yeshe, walking in. "I wondered if you had come here also Everest."

"Yeah, while I like watch the boys work," said Everest "I can only stare at sweaty boys for so long."

"I could watch Rubble for hours" said Obi, then blushing after she realized she had said that out loud.

"Anyway," said Skye "you asked about if all boys are crazy sex fends. The answer is no without a doubt. Most probably think about it more often than girls do, but that doesn't make them sex fends, it means their boys. Trust me I wish Chase was more of a sex fend sometimes."

"Rocky is a perfect gentledog," said Yeshe "but he has his moments when he is wild."

The girls all stopped and looked at Yeshe, then they all laughed.

"I can't believe I just said that," laughed Yeshe.

"Oh, I'll never look at Rocky the same," laughed Everest. "Marshall is no slouch either, he knows just now to make me howl."

"Sorry, Obi," laughed Skye "We girls often get wound up when it's just us. But seriously, if you have questions or just want to talk you can come to any of us."

The girls all decided to watch a little TV until the guys got home.

*** Later That Evening ***

Skye and Chase were laying on the bed in Chase's pup house talking.

"Skye," said Chase "What do you think about Rubble and Obi?"

"Funny," laughed Skye "I was going to ask you the same thing. Did Rubble say something?"

"He was asking questions about feelings and girls," Said Chase "I told him, uh crap, I told him, I'd ask without saying it was him that asked."

"I won't say anything," laughed Skye "I told Obi the same thing. They both like each other but are unsure how to move forward."

"So what do you suggest?" asked Chase "Should I tell him, or should I just say it appears she might like him and he should just ask her?"

"I think so, then it doesn't appear we just blew our promises to them," said Skye " you should tell him to ask her out. Once he does, you boys do your thing. And us girls will do ours."

"To be honest," said Chase "All the talk about dating has kind of turned me on."

"Really," laughed Skye "should I get your leash?"

Chase blushed and reached over grabbing Skye before kissing her neck and rubbing her ears.

They both fell asleep holding each other.

*** Inside Ryder's Room ***

Ryder was taking an online IQ test. He was always reading something and a chat room advertisement caught his eye asking if the readers wanted to determine their IQ. 'I'm really curious if these tests are real,' thought Ryder.

He continued the test until his pup pad finally read 'test completed'.

"Well, now what?" laughed Ryder "I hoped it would give me a score."

His email dinged on his pup pad. He switched over and read the email.

Greetings,

You've scored in the top percentile. Verification test is necessary to verify the authenticity of your results. Reply with your contact information and a representative will contact you in reference to the Verification Test.

"That figures," laughed Ryder "I guess they want to sell me something. Oh well, I can always say no." Ryder entered his address and pup pad number.
