Hey guys, I want to say this story really got me going...I hope it is a treat.
Page I: Meet
"See you tomorrow Willow!"
"Be careful when you get back home, Augustus!"
"Name's Gus now, it's better!"
Walking through the forest to get home, happens to be one of Luz's newest friends, two of them are separated. One of them is a boy who happens to be is a kid in an outfit with a black small cloak, light blue sleeves, and leggings, with black boots.
"Man, it's really cool having a human friend! A HUMAN! But it's a little weird being a student to the Owl Lady..." Gus said sees a purple head flying over him. But he's used to it being in the Boiling Isles all his life.
He made it to town, sees the route to his home...but he does see the same coven system masters wall, he still wanna figure out why there's only nine...sure there's one more, He thought they'll gonna be more competitive with each other to win a trophy or something. But the sound of it just little getting who is the best out of all-
He was interrupted from his thought by an explosive nearby, causing the boy to fall on the ground even put on his hoodie. He looks up and sees a street fight between some teens older than him, one certain side by the marks of a red dragon, known by The Crimson Dragons, the school bullies that causes mayhem throughout the Isles aside from the ones who are popular. Gus kinda having a little moment between them by telling Principle Bump that their graffiti is all over the sports arena...only one got caught.
"Augustus?" spoke a grown tone of voice.
Gus sees a teen who is taller than him, having a crimson dragon cross his arm, having light brown skin, messy black hair, black eyes, having one fang showing. Wears a school uniform with the orange colors of the Beast Keeping track. "Wade!"
He smiled sinisterly, slowly goes towards him. "I'm so getting back at you for getting me expelled."
The boy makes a circle shoot out a blue arrow at Wade just a puff of smoke, then summons three clones of himself and charge at Wade who simply does a red circle release a big fire at the clones who disappear.
"All those attacks are just illusions, just plain old tricks, Willow's not gonna save you now," Wade said releasing a fire ring from the palm of his hand.
Gus gets scared until a big alarm came on, sees the Emperor's Coven Guards comings, thus everyone began to flee but some get captured until he sees a net that almost got him. He spots a guard looking at him like he's one of them.
"You...stay where you are!"
Gus simply thinks about it and starts running, causing two chases after him, even blasting him down by stunt spell. Even though tried quick turns and dodged many objects in his way, he couldn't escape them until reached a dead end. Gus thought might go behind bars even though it was a big misunderstanding until he got grabbed from his back. The guards made it to the alley, only to see no one only there's trash and a dumpster, they sneak to the dumpster and lift the lid only seeing only a couple of rats who jumped on them.
"AH, RATS!" Guard shouts
"Get it off me, mommy!" Another screaming like a female.
Both of them ran out of the alley, unaware to both of them...the sewer lid moved back to its place.
Gus sees the place...the underground, the worst place that ever comes across...full of creatures that run through the area.
"Looks like the coast is clear..."
The boy looks back and sees an adult; having light blue hair and the same shade color style line but white, green eyes with round glasses, light brown skin. Wearing a black and golden vest under it is a sleeve button shirt, black pants with a brown belt, long brown boots.
"Who are you...why did you save me?" Gus asked, a little confused.
They look at him and sigh. "Let me introduce myself first, my name is Raine Whispers..."
Gus was puzzled. "Names Augustus Porter but my friends call me Gus...Wait, Whispers...you're one of the top Bard's Coven members, why did you do it?"
"Well for starters, you seem to be running away from them," Raine respond begin to walk.
Gus shunned his head while following. "True but they blasting me with those nets."
"And...the system will not help you...once you in the crime scene, you will be put behind bars," Raine said looking in a sad expression.
"But they're the Emperor's Coven..." Gus said he looks another entrance.
"This should bring you home while no one noticed you," Raine said walking further away as they spoke. "About that coven...They're not what they seem,"
Gus is confused about what they said, a little interested in the high-class mage in this below area...once he is a little close and clear, he begins to follow Raine, and a few minutes see an entrance, goes inside and sees the place... the whole area is full of Bard, even having maps that happen to be structure of buildings around Boiling Isles. "Whoa..."
"You shouldn't have come here..."
Gus falls down out of startled, he looks up seeing Raine who is glaring at the boy while crossing their arms. "Oh no, are you gonna brainwash me, wipe off my memorize and make new ones by using some kind of flash?!"
"What are you talking about?" Raine asked in a little weird out of this kid's words.
"Oh, my human friend Luz shows a cool movie of two guys dressed in dark suits with the same color gear on the eyes, what type of movie is it...So-Five?" Gus said last one in low voice.
"I don't have time for this, go home...I need to get going." Raine said grabbing a mask and a cloak.
"Go where?" Gus replied looking at him.
"Too dangerous for a kid your age, and you need to go home before your parents noticed you're gone," Raine states, walking away from Gus.
'My dad's still at work.' Gus thought simply walked out with his head down, putting his hands in his skirt's pockets. "Now where's the entrance again." then gets little a sly smile. "Or..."
In the building where it keeps the certain witches who broke the law, standing another side of the building is Raine with someone who is a slender girl with pointy ears, dark skin, black hair in a ponytail, hazel eyes, and distinguished fangs.
"They're here?" Raine asked sees over five prison cells carrier.
"Yes, they're in the building, two of them, they're really amazing talented Bard witches." She said.
"Alright, we're going in there...but wear this," Raine replied holding a wooden bat mask. "Just keep your identity safe, Katya."
She spoke while putting on the mask. "Fine, I won't leave them when we get caught."
In the dark dungeon, everyone who's breaking the 'law' in the Isles, even the guards patrolling the area, especially the one who Eda and Luz encounter...Warden Wrath who doing little work in mid-time. Behind a few couples of big crates are Raine and Katya who are both on their knees to take cover.
"Now, all we need is to find the keys...all we need stay quiet," Raine whispered to Katya who nodded in agreement.
"Why are we whispering."
Both adults are startled as turn to see Gus who still wearing his hoodie, Raine gets a panicked attack of a child in a situation like this.
"Why are you here Gus?!" Raine question in panicked but quiet.
"You know him?" Katya asked in confusion.
"He saved me from the guards hours before," Gus answered
"Young man, I'm gonna give you a large shouting but for your own sake...stay...out...of...sight...We need to get them-" Raine said in a glare.
"But I wanna-" Gus said looking at Katya who places her hands on his shoulders.
"Listen, kid, this isn't a game...if they spot you, it's all over...stay put near this sewer lid." Katya replied as both she and Raine sneaked away.
Gus looks down then sees a soldier of Emperor Coven's, who simply just laying on the chair sleeping. 'Sleeping on the job, I thought this coven is top one in this place...but...it gets me an idea.'
Raine and Katya spot the prison bars, the latter spot two people she knew in there; a short girl, mauve-skinned humanoid with pale gray hair, freckles, and round silver eyes. Wearing a short dark blackish dress, blue stockings, and black boots. And an adolescent young man with brown eyes, dark brown skin, pointed ears, and dark brown hair that is styled in a short shag parted to the right side of his head. Having on a decent black suit with black shoes.
"Amber, Derwin... what are you guys doing here?" Katya asked with worried on her face.
"I and my fellow band were playing a great show at a theatre until a major accident happened, so I took the fall," Derwin answered looking down.
"Playing music in the park without a permit," Amber answered with annoyance.
"Don't worry guys, we're gonna bust you out of here." Katya said looking up and seeing a lever "There are some levers but only someone with monstrous hands can lift them."
"What I suppose to do boss?" spoke in a drowsy yet dumb-like voice.
Raine and Katya hide in one of the boxes, see an ogre and an Emperor soldier but the strange thing is this soldier's a little shorter than the cloak explaining the dragging on the floor. Until both see a certain uniform underneath that has a color of the blue eye monsters.
"Gus..." Raine and Katya said in a quiet yet angry tone.
"I'm supposed to open the cells?" The Ogre question is confusing.
"That's right, I need to do a headcount on each prisoner," Gus said in a manly voice.
"But Warden says..." The Ogre said stopping his track by the soldier's stomp.
"I am your superior, and you better do what I told you," Gus command point at him.
The Ogre nodded in fear and begins to open the cells one by one while Raine and Katya were shocked and impressed by what Gus have done, once everyone was out...Gus simply using his magic takes control of the object behind the Ogre and hits it in the back of Ogre's head, knocking him out. Then suddenly a bunch of soldiers came out seeing all the prisoners out of their cell.
"Dang that ogre!"
"No one move!"
"Get in your cage-"
At a certain moment, a huge object ran over the soldiers and crash into a wall, making a hole outside. Everyone turns and looks to see a little woman that had orange hair only seeing her holding her foot while jumping in the air.
"FREEDOM! FREEDOM! AHAHAHAHA!" She shouts lifted her hands in the air, charges out of the hole.
Thus everyone got out by using the hole even stepping on the soldiers who were in pain, each left except for Raine and Katya along with Amber and Derwin.
"Let's go now..." Katya said as others stepped out.
"NO!"
Raine got grabbed by the neck, pin down on the ground seeing the Warden's voice in rage.
"Leave only a few minutes to turn into disaster..." Warden said tightening his grip.
"Let him go!"
Warden sees Katya, Amber, Derwin, even Gus who is still in the Emperor soldier's cloak. "Oh I will, you have the rest...I only want his head!" form his other hand into an ax.
In Slow Motion, each one of the group gets fear in their eyes even the boy who showing horrified underneath the mask.
BUMP!
Warden held up ax down to Raine, while everyone tried to charge to save him.
BUMP!
They only see something that really shocking that unnoticed sparks coming out of a certain boy.
BUMP!
Gus tighten his fist unnoticed that electricity coming out of him, shattered the cloak and helmet revealing himself as having blue eyes. He throws a fist towards the Warden while sounds in deep scream in his head.
"NOOO!" Gus screams direct at the Warden.
The electricity comes out of Gus's hand and into a bolt of blue lightning, hitting the Warden in the back who sends him flying to the wall, creating a crater. The others look at Gus who passes out due to that last magic blast, Raine goes to the boy and checks his pulse, feeling bumping makes the witch sigh in relief, they carried Gus as all of them leave the place.
Coming into the household, be an adult man wearing a suit having a name tag that says 'Perry Porter', he sees the place dark due light is off, he walked upstairs and goes check-up to make sure he's there. Slowly open up the door and see the room, smiled at his son Augustus sleeping in his bed.
"Hi Augustus, I wanted to say got the new position in my job and pays more, I make sure we celebrate one day...sleep well," Perry said closing the door.
Outside of the house near the alley, the pack happens to be Raine, Katya, Amber, and Derwin looking at the window of the boy they knew.
"Good thing you know about the place," Amber said looking at the fellow ex-prisoner.
"Never leave a scroll about your address," Derwin replied
Katya looks puzzled. "Do you think we'll meet him again?"
"For sure..." Raine states others look at them in surprise. "He'll always come back and might learn from us, let's go before we spot."
Each one walked back to hideout from a long day, Raine take one look back and smiled at the boy who just his life as they continued walking with the gang.
Dark gray clouds forming all over the sky, meanwhile floating in the dark water happens to be Gus who still sleeping meanwhile watching him happens to be something that big like a kaiju...it's shadowy but flaming markings all over with having strange tails, only shows.
This is my real deal guys, I see these people need more spotlike.
The little man-boy... I see him he's the only one who doesn't see the world works and people he knows wanna protect him.
