Raiden Kunikuzushi has had a relatively quiet and boring life so far. He had a family of four which included himself, his younger twin sister, Mother and step-mother. Living in a small but modest apartment within Inazuma City. He had recently graduated high school with much success and was now attending college to study Drama.

There however was one thing that was out of the ordinary in his life. A little buddy on his smart phone that just appeared oneday. At first he thought it might have been some virus, but quickly found out that was not the case. It was not malicious in nature. It called itself Pusurumon.

Pusurumon was not put off by his rude and brash behavior, like almost everyone else seem to be. Which he grew to like to some degree. It was nice to have a friend, even if that friend was a bunch of talking pixels. Which sounded rather sad in itself.

Not that he'd ever tell anyone, nor would they approach to ask.

Kunikuzushi had heard some dumb rumours about the train he usually rode to campus. Something about it being haunted. People claiming to have seen shadows moving outside of the windows and blue lights. The short man scoffed at that, dismissing it completely.

"Hmmm, why are people so scared of the Train, Kuni?" a small voice broke his silence. Kuni looked at his phone. The screen had lit up to show the pixel creature inhabiting the device. Pusurumon was a ball of gray and yellow spikes with icy blue eyes. It was always curious, so it asked many questions.

"Some dumbasses thought they saw ghosts or some shit." Kuni explained rather crudely. He adjusted his hat string, he always had that golden straw hat with him, the train finally arrived and he got on. For a split second Kunikuzushi thought he saw a flash but it was gone before he knew it. Blinking, he shook his head. Those stories might be getting to him.

Ghosts only exist in stories after all. His mother often told him and his sister stories about the ancient times when the 7 still roamed. She was rather religious in that way, the people of Inazuma largely still held some worship for the God of Eternity and Electro. Kuni didn't take much stock in it himself.

The college he attended was located in Ritou, as it boasted a large foreign exchange program throughout Teyvat. Once the train stopped at the Ritou Station he disembarked the train, passing through the rather large shopping district that thrived on students and tourists alike. Street vendors yelling their hearts out, shoppers browsing the goods. It was all rather noisy and annoying to Kuni.

Kunikuzushi passed a Cafe that the Students of the Kanjou College used often, one of the employees happened to be wiping tables outside. A blonde wearing red and an apron. The purple haired youth paid no more attention as he walked past.

Finally reaching his destination. He glanced up at the building. It was in the traditional Inazuman style. The main building at least. The rest of the campus was a lot more modern. He passed the gates listening to whispers and snippets of conversation on his way to his department.

"Did you hear? Another person disappeared for a few days."

"Again…? That's terrifying…"

"That's creepy… They say people are being spirited away. But that can't be true right?"

Kunikuzushi didn't linger. One of the Gossipers where forgien by the looks of things. Kuni nearly jumped when cyan eyes met his violet ones for a brief moment. Kunikuzushi huffed as he walked faster. He didn't have time to waste on people.

Here's to another same old day in the never changing country that was Inazuma. However dull it may seem, Something big was brewing. For a brief moment small particles of yellow and blue flickered, distorting the very air before settling like nothing happened.

Fate was a fickle thing and the chance meeting of two clashing personalities was the start of something bigger than just Inazuma.

….

Soon fate will show its hand and bring forth unlikely heroes to its cause.
