Disclaimer: I do NOT own Warriors, Erin Hunter does. Now on with the show~

All around him, the old leader could hear the wary shuffling and terrified murmurs of his Clan and did his best not to growl. This was no place to stop! Brokenstar and ShadowClan could still be chasing them! His eyes narrowed as he scanned the unfamiliar darkness, his claws tearing deep grooves into the ground. But then, his Clan was exhausted, they needed to rest. He sniffed the air, fear stung his nose harsher than any claw, as well as the rich tang of blood. His belly rumbled, when was the last time he had a decent meal? When had any of his Clan ate well since that horrible battle?

And how long would the fear and uncertainty keep hold of them? The male heaved a long sigh, it was all he could do to not snap at his terrified Clan. He coouldn't expect them to be brave after all that had happened. But still...

But still, they had been alone, the wind was silent and the shadows deep. They had been careless and caught off guard. Now they were paying the price for it.

ShadowClan had driven them from their home, long from any Clan territory. Where hungry being and ruthless creatures attacked and stalked them tirelessly. The large black and white male looked to the stars, as if seeking guidance. Would they ever know peace again? No, not in this wild land. They belonged back on the moor, where the wind would sing to them.

Here, the wind was dead, he nor anyone else of his Clan could hear it's wonderful song. The black and white cat snorted, shaking his head, his claws working the ground once more. Even if the wind is silent, he had to bring his Clan out of this darkness, they had to come together and become strong once more!

But how? The attack by ShadowClan shook his to their very core. Even if some wanted to fight back, there were others who was too scared and he knew just who they were. For a moment, a brief stab of anger for certain ones in his Clan rippled through him before he snuffed it out, forcing himself to calm down.

It wasn't their fault. What could normal cats of meager strength do to demons whose skin could be like rock with fangs and claws that tore them apart effortlessly? Groaning softly, the bi colored tom stood, getting to his paws and turning to meet the many tired and scared eyes of his Clan.

"Cats of WindClan, we must press on! ShadowClan may still be chasing us and we cannot afford to stay in one place for too long! We must keep going and keep our wits about us!" His voice rang out loud and clear, despite the aged look of his body.

"And how far must we go? Do you even know where we're going?" one voice broke out from the crowd, sounding more annoyed than terrified and the old tom hissed, trying his best to not lash his long tail.

"I know you're tired, but we cannot stay here! This land is not good for us! We must go where we can be safe and hunt without looking constantly looking over our shoulder." the leader answered, his voice tight as the one who called out to him seemed to duck his head and the patched tom couldn't help a dark smirk to appear on his lips. Good, serves him right! He managed to keep that lump of fur alive all this time, he should be grateful!

"Tallstar..." another voice called to him, small and timid, it broke through the dark thoughts the black/white tom, Tallstar, was having and he walked over to the owner of the voice, a small gray molly with her tail wrapped around a equally small kit. "Tallstar, are we really going to be safe out here? I'm worried for my kit. I wish we were back in camp, but right now...I just want my kit to be able to live."

Her voice softened him and Tallstar leaned down to lick her cheek, careful to not look her right in the eyes. "I know you're worried, but I swear, I will make sure your kit survives Ashfoot. On that, I promise you. To you and to everyone in the Clan."

He looked away when he heard the uneven pawsteps of his deputy and one of his younger warriors and straightened to see what they had to report. He had sent them out to scout the area and they had been gone for quite some time, hopefully they brought good news with them.

The scouts, two toms, dipped their heads to Tallstar before the older of the two, Deadfoot, flicked his tail for his leader to speak to him privately. Tallstar followed but narrowed his eyes, what was found that couldn't be said in front of their Clan?

"Tallstar, we found an odd looking tunnel, there's water inside but it veers away after a certain point. It would make for a decent shelter."

The WindClan leader twitched his whiskers as he watched Deadfoot and the younger tom, Onewhisker, shuffle their paws in nervousness. "That is as good as it can get on such short notice. What seems to be the problem?"

"Tallstar, we went further afield, there is very little life beyond this land. Nothing to eat. Nothing for us to eat." the deputy pressed, his eyes glittering in the dark. Flecks of pale amber shone amide a sea of blue in his left eye. Tallstar curled his lips into a silent snarl, in his own left golden eye was a hard sliver of green and he closed both eyes to reign in his temper.

"The Clan must be fed, all of us. If we cannot find food, I fear what others might do in their desperation. There must be a way..."

"We can separate from the others, it would ease the strain and we...may not become a danger to our Clanmates with things don't work out." Deadfoot muttered, looking at the night sky and seeing the stars shine in it. If he was looking for answers, he would receive none.

Tallstar heaved a mighty sigh before getting to his paws and going back to address his Clan. "Deadfoot has found us a place of shelter! It is not much, a tunnel but it is better than lurking above ground where who knows what can get us. We will be safe. WindClan is still here, we will not let this crush us! Even out here, we are still WindClan!"

His words brought out soft mutters of agreement and a few cats stood straighter. Tallstar nodded, looking over his Clan, watching as they followed Deadfoot and filed into the tunnel with a resolute gleam in his eyes. He would make sure that they survived!

XxXx

Tallstar's paws slammed onto empty ground as he watched the rabbit he was hunting dart away. He forced the growl of anger that was building in his chest down as he instead ripped at the ground and lashed his tail. That would have been a good meal for the queens and he let it slip right through his claws! Snorting, the aged leader turned and went back the way he came, his legs stiff in aggression and building temper.

As he walked, he thought of the hungry eyes of his Clan...the even more hungry eyes of his demon Clanmates. He stopped to look at himself, seeing the rutting ribs from his pelt and winced. It was getting harder...he couldn't deny that he was starting to have thoughts of splitting one of the normal cats of his Clan open to feed on their flesh. Just the image of it was making his fangs ache to sink into tender meat.

NO! He couldn't think like that! He had to be strong! He couldn't go back empty pawed, Morningflower and Ashfoot needed something to eat. He couldn't let them down. But then, how long has it been? The days and weeks have starting blurring together. Tallstar only knows that would had to be at least a few moons since they were run out, the air was getting colder and the leaves falling from the trees.

Heaving a great sigh, Tallstar sat down and looked up at the cloudy sky. How long could they hold out? He had sent Deadfoot to scout further out, hoping that he would be able to food for him and his fellow demons. They had to move to a different part of the tunnel to be safe from their Clanmates...but how long would that last?

His thoughts were interrupted by a meaty thud and the rich tang of blood. Tallstar's mouth started to water as he turned his head and saw a fresh cat corpse laying beside him. His eyes widened before catching a foreign scent above him, in the trees.

Looking up, he saw a young molly, a light brown tabby with a white chest and paws. Soft green eyes stared down at him while in the left eye was, to Tallstar, a familiar flint of purple covering the bottom half.

"That eye! Are you..?" Tallstar stood, ignoring the corpse took a step towards the tree where the molly was standing in. She smiled down at him and nodded to the slain cat.

"You look hungry. I've already eaten my fill, you can have that. Go on, it's okay. No need to be frightened, old one."

Tallstar snorted a little at that and once more looked at the corpse, his whiskers twitching in faint amusement. "Mind your manners, young one. I may be old but you should still have respect. And...thank you. The others are in need of this. Yes, a far greater need than I."

"Others? You have a family? Perhaps I should go with you. If they are as skinny as you, perhaps more help is needed, yes?"

Tallstar was already picking up the corpse and onlt reluctantly nodded. If this stranger claimed she could help then he wouldn't turn her away. Perhaps there was hope, she was the first demon that he or any of his Clan had seen this far out of Clan territory. If she could survive, perhaps there was a way to live.

As Tallstar lead the molly to where his Clan was staying, as they got closer, the leader could hear the shouting and terrified cries of his Clan and he intanstly starting running, praying to the wind to guide his paws and give him the speed he needed.

Surprisingly, it seemed like his prayer was heard as his paws moved faster than they normally would and cleared the rest of the distance in no time at all.

And once he saw the scene before him, he was grateful the wind hearing his call. Morningflower was snarling, her muzzle and paws drenched in blood as she attacked random members of the Clan. Tallstar was about to call out to Deadfoot when he saw the black furred warrior biting hard into Onewhisker's leg. He could hear the cracking of bone and rushed to help the young tom and barrel into Deadfoot, separating the two.

Tallstar and Deadfoot both rolled with the black/white cat ending up pinning his deputy down as the other madly bit and clawed at his legs.

"Deadfoot, please! Control yourself! Come back to me, Deadfoot!"

The black tom only snarled in his face and bit harder, the pain eventually making Tallstar let go. As he moved away to try and think of how to subdue Deadfoot, the leader noticed Morningflower out of the corner of his eye. She was stalking towards the stranger molly who was standing by the corpse. Giving it a quick glance, the stranger tossed it at Morningflower who jumped to catch it and being tearing it apart, gulping it down rapidly.

Deadfoot noticed too and made a beeline for the quickly diminishing meat. Morningflower snarled and her bloodied claws lashed out, leaving a horrible gash into his face and the deputy retaliated with clamping his jaws around the molly's neck.

Tallstar stared on in dismay, watching two of his warriors tear each other apart. In the distance, he could hear more screams, more savage yowls as the demons of his Clan finally fell to their hunger. He lowered his head, the sweet smell of fresh blood all around him. And Tallstar threw his head back, yowling as he too fell into despair and hunger.

Feeling everything fall away, Tallstar charged at the two battling cats, tearing hard into Deadfoot and effortlessly breaking Morningflower's leg before taking the half eaten meat for him and demolishing it in a few quick bites.

When Deadfoot, Morningflower and a few others all crept towards him to try and get at any scraps, Tallstar stood and bared his fangs, his fur fluffing out so he looked twice his size. At the malicious glint in his eyes, some of the others backed away but didn't run. Tallstar narrowed his eyes. He would make them run! Make them fear him!

With a sadistic grin, Tallstar charged at his demon Clanmates, snapping and clawing at anyone he could get his jaws around. The sound of snapping bone cut through the air and many cried out in pain. Soon his paws and his fur was covered in blood and he stood snarling all around him, the demons backing away and trembling in fear.

Tallstar was panting but at the same time, he was smiling. He dug his claws into the blood soaked earth and looked around as the normal cats of his Clan shrunk back in fear of both the demons and himself. His smile grew, where was the one who spoke out first against him? Tallstar was still very hungry.

Yet before he could drag the trembling warrior towards him and into his jaws, a voice called out to him.

"So this is the Talltail that my father spoke of highly?" it was the tabby molly. Her words cut right through the red haze of blood and sadistic glee and Tallstar froze before stiffly turning and looking over at the molly who had managed to keep herself mostly safe, though her face was scratched a bit.

Tallstar stared at her and she looked back, her eyes narrowed. "You...are you Jake's kit?"

"I called him my father, didn't I?" she shot back before turning to leave. "So much for the compassionate and wise Talltail. Jake would weep if he saw you now. I suppose there is nothing for me here. Farewell, enjoy your carnage against the Clan you "love."

Tallstar could only stare and watch as she walked away. Jake's kit was walking away! "W-Wait! No, don't go! Where is Jake?! How is he?! Please tell me!"

He rushed over to her, gripping her tail in his teeth and forcing her to stop. She hissed at him and clawed at his muzzle, making him let go. She stared coolly at him, her claws out ready to defend herself. The molly gave him a hard look before sneering. "He's dead. Killed. But maybe it is better that he is dead. I'm sure he would have hated seeing what the tom he spoke so fondly of had become."

Tallstar flinched at that and growled softly to himself. He watched as the molly turned her back and started to run off before moving to face his infighting Clan. Fury at them and himself washed over him and he leapt back into the thick of it, biting hard into the few demons that moved too late and doing his best to defend the normal cats of the Clan.

However, this rationale was short lived and the thrill of fighting, the hunger he had been enduring, and smell of blood soon got to Tallstar once again. His claws soon turned against the ones he was trying to protect and even had one of his normal warriors in his jaws before being rushed by the other demons and forced to let go of his catch.

Tallstar bared his fangs in rage and lashed out with all the strength he had, he cut a bloody swathe through his follow demons though he also sustained injures. Though his body burned from his wounds, Tallstar laughed, a cruel, sadistic sound. It didn't matter to him how badly his body was cut, he would rain down equal pain among any who wasn't fast enough to get away.

The leader of WindClan soon had another normal cat pinned down, his claws digging deep into their fur and casually ripping through their flesh. Tallstar leered over them, giving a rather harsh nip on the cat's cheek that drew blood. The black/white cat then licked over the cut, smirking as the cat squirmed in fear and slight digust but tried calling out to him, if only to safe their own life.

"Wait! Tallstar, please! You don't want to do this! "I swear, I won't hold it against you. I won't tell anyone, just let me go. Please!"

Tallstar only grinned, his claws digging in deeper and and casuing the cat to whimper in pain before the leader leaned into their face, licking his lips. "Sorry, but I'm too hungry to let you go. Besides, your fear will make you taste even better. So, do me a favor. Scream. As loud as you can. I want you to be the best meal I've ever had!" The last thing the unfortunate warrior ever saw was Tallstar's bloodied fangs coming down over his face before the world went dark for the final time.

XxXx

Tallstar woke up, feeling dazed and somewhat sick. When he tried to get into a sitting position, he immediately vomited blood and half chewed meat. The leader shook his head and tottered, the events leading up to his blackout slowly coming back to him. They...he attacked, killed and eaten members of their own Clan!

The bi-colored tom looked around, his strength soon coming back and he could see the signs of carnae all around him. Groaning, Tallstar tried to move again but stepped in something a little cold and sticky. Looking down, he saw that he was laying one the ripped open corpse of one of his Clanmates, their entire ribcage split apart and some of their organs shifted about into a makeshift nest.

Their blood and even bits of bone clung to his bloodied fur. Tallstar was quick to jump away, his face a mask of horror and regret. "What have...what have I done?" He stood, staring all around him while other demons of the Clan slowly made their way towards him, Deadfoot being one of them.

"It...It doesn't like other Clan members are here. We're the only ones that are left." he muttered softly, shame and self loathing making his voice thick and quiet.

Tallstar narrowed his eyes, sitting down slowly and not wanting to face what he and the others had done. "They fled. We started killing and eating them. So they ran. They...won't come back. We turned against our own Clanmates! We will never want to return! What have we done?" "It...It wasn't our fault!" Morningflower piped up, crouching to the ground as she looked all around her. She tried to ignore the memories of her devouring her own Clanmates, enjoying it even. The memory made her shudder. "We were starving! There were no other cats here, we-"

"We should have been stronger!" Tallstar interrupted her with a snarl and a lash of his long tail. "We should have tried harder to find food, to not turn into the monsters they now know we are!"

Tallstar looked around him, to the demons that made up what was left of his Clan. They were all covered with blood and he could see that they all had full bellies. He then turned his face to sky, dark now with the stars and moon shining down coldly on him.

"I have betrayed my Clan and brought shame and horror to my warriors ancestors. I doubt they are even listening to me anymore. There's nothing I can do to atone for we have done but...I will try. From this moment on, WindClan is no more! We are no longer a Clan of noble warriors. We could not stop ourselves from falling to our instincts and ravaging those who we were supposed to live alongside. We are no longer part of the forest and StarClan will no longer protect us. Go! Go wherever you want, it doesn't matter anymore. WindClan is dead."

A/N: Hey ho! I'm back with the second installment of Demons of the Clans! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to continue the story but I really like the idea and the world I created within, so I decided to go on with it! As before, there will be major changes to the book and characters and situations will NOT be a shot of shot recreation of Fire and Ice, however it will contain the same story beats. The story may end of being longer than the orignal because of this but hopefully you will still have a fun read!

Wow, WindClan has been disbanded! I wonder how that will factor into the rest of the story? What will become of the former Clan now? Find out next time and as always, enjoy~
