An idea that's been going around in my head for a while, inspired by Aragorn II Elessar's story 'The Apocalypse is here' and loosely based on Spider-Man: No Way Home. Been planning it for a while and finally decided to do it.
Not going to be a very long story, I'll be surprised if it goes beyond six chapters, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to do or interfere with my other stories too much.
Anyway, takes places post Buffy seasons seven and but none of the comics are canon.
Thank you to Aragorn II Elessar for help with the title.
And I'm going to say this right now, anyone trying to argue about Buffyverse power levels is going to be deleted and ignored, especially since the person I'm talking about doesn't seem to have any basic knowledge about any of the universes they're talking about. Seriously, no one besides you cares.
New York
Mid-Morning
In the Slayer Organization's New York base, Buffy Summers paced back and forth, watching with Giles, Xander, Dawn and Faith as Willow sat on the floor in a meditative pose, muttering to herself as she scanned the city magically for their target.
It had started a few months after Sunnydale. They were getting the Slayer Organization up and running when they began receiving reports of a Witch attacking Covens. Giles and Willow had done some investigating and discovered the Witch was Amy Madison, who had somehow survived Sunnydale.
It had taken months of investigation, but Willow and Giles had eventually determined that Amy was planning to perform a dark ritual to rewrite reality. Which is why she'd been attacking the Covens, to get the necessary spell books and ingredients. Amy had gotten the last ingredient a few hours ago and was now planning on performing the ritual.
"Okay, so I get that Amy rewriting reality is bad, but if she has everything she needs, why hasn't she done it yet?" Xander wondered.
"The ritual takes great power, and time. But we must hurry, or it will be too late to stop here," Giles said grimly.
No sooner had Giles finishes speaking than Willow opened her eyes, which briefly glowed pure white before returning to normal.
"I know where she is."
In an underground chamber, Amy sat in the center of a trigram, chanting when the entrance was suddenly blasted open. Amy paused in her chanting as Willow, Buffy and Faith entered the room, followed by Giles, Xander and Dawn, all of them carrying weapons.
"It's over Amy. This stops now," Buffy ordered and Amy smiled nastily.
"Oh I don't think so Buffy," Amy said smugly.
Suddenly, they were not the only ones in the room. To the shock of the Scoobies, shadows seemed to rise of the ground before they stood surrounded by several black skinned creatures.
"Allow me to introduce my news friend, shadow demons, otherwise known as Shadowkhan. They don't talk much, but they're handy in getting rid of unwanted pets," Amy said smugly. "You can't stop me this time."
Amy resumed her chanting as the Shadowkhan rushed the Scoobies. Buffy and Faith both punched one away while Dawn swung her axe at one. Dawn's demon disintegrated upon contact with the axe while Willow waved her hand, sending several Shadowkhan flying back. Giles fired a crossbow at one while Xander did his best to fight the Shadowkhans hand to hand after being disarmed.
"Willow, stop Amy! We'll cover you!" Buffy ordered.
Willow nodded, beginning to make her way towards Amy, using magic to send any Shadowkhans that tried to stop her flying out of the way. Giles shot a crossbow bolt, taking one out that tried to leap at her from behind as Willow reached Amy. Willow immediately noticied the Trigram was going and energy was sparking from it. The ritual was almost complete; she'd have to act fast.
"Oh Hecate, Goddess of Magic, give me the strength to stop this!" Willow pleaded.
Willow then raised her hand and a powerful blast of magic shot out at Amy. It impacted on the Trigram and there was a bright blast of magic that blinded everyone. Willow gasped as various images in her mind.
A man in a bloodied suit was watching as a dark haired man walked out of a tent, a dark skinned woman, obviously injured, was on her side, gagging when the man in the bloodied suit vanished in a flash of light.
A dark haired woman was driving on a motorcycle down a highway when she vanished in a flash of light as well.
A dark haired, clean shaven man, obviously upset, was storming over to an apartment building when he vanished as well.
A dark haired man was standing outside a house, waiting for someone, unaware that a blond haired man was walking up behind him when both men vanished.
Two men, one dark haired and clean shaven, the other with blond, light brown hair with a beard, were standing on a bridge, both holding what appeared to be half a stake. They seemed to be preparing to drive it into their hearts when they two vanished in a flash of light.
"Red? Red? Willow?"
Dazed, Willow opened her eyes, realizing was on the floor. Faith and Dawn were by her side with Buffy, Giles and Xander not far behind, all looking concerned.
"Are you alright?" Dawn asked, concerned for her mother figure.
"I think so," Willow said, putting a hand to her head and noticing Amy and the Shadowkhan were gone. "What happened? Where's Amy?"
"Well when you shot that magic thing at Amy, there was this magic…I don't know, wave? It took out the Shadow demons and Amy just kind of ran," Buffy explained.
"We tried tracking her down, but she used some kind of teleportation spell," Xander added.
"Whatever you did Willow, it disrupted the ritual. It will take time for Amy to regain her strength. You stopped her," Giles said sounding proud.
"I don't think I stopped her completely," Willow said and they all looked at her in a mix of confusion and bewilderment. "I don't think Amy's our only problem anymore."
I know it's rather short but this was mostly set up, the other chapters will be a lot longer.
