Summary: Elevens thoughts after Brenner stops her from leaving the underground base in season 4.

If Owen had been honest with Eleven she wouldn't be in her current situation. Perhaps that was the point. If Owen had told her Papa was going to be here she wouldn't have agreed to come and then she wouldn't have gotten her powers back. Owens knew she would need her powers to stop One from destroying Hawkins and perhaps the rest of the world as well.

Even though she knew why he lied she still couldn't help but feel frustrated at him. She wished that the man had been honest with her, wished he had been fair. Now thanks to him she was back in Papa's grasp and Dr. Owens was having to deal with whatever Papa did to silence him. She knew for a fact though that Owens didn't just leave like Papa claimed. She wouldn't be surprised if Owens was beaten and locked up somewhere. Maybe he was even dead- left to rot down here with her.

Meanwhile she was back in the hands of the man that ruined her life; the man who took away the childhood she should have had. The man who caused this whole mess in the first place. The man that kept her chained up with a shock collar and exhaustion. The man that she had only known as Papa her whole life and only recently realized through her time with Hopper that he didn't deserve to be called such. Hopper- Hopper was dead because of Papa's actions.

Eleven had known that their was a risk in taking Owens plan- knew it wouldn't be easy but she didn't know it would hurt this much. Not only was she mentally drained from seeing Papa again, she was physically drained from Nina. Her chest was still hurting from where the scientists had to revive her twice. Judging from how Dr. Owens reacted he didn't expect such a dramatic reaction to the project but that didn't make the pain go away.

Eleven could only close her eyes and hope that Mike would swoop in with the Byers and rescue her from Papa's grasp. In her dreams Joyce was there too. Joyce would storm in with an angry glare and then take Eleven in her arms and hold her close. Maybe even her friends from Hawkins would- no that's right. Her friends from Hawkins wouldn't be coming to her rescue. They were in danger, Max was in danger. If she didn't get out soon her friends might die; they could already be dead. Papa was stopping her.

Instead of her saving her friends from One, who was her problem in the first place- she is laying down crying about a little bit of pain and her fear. Papa wasn't going to let her leave.

That was probably the only thing Owen did right in this situation. He had given her the choice, when she said she was ready to leave he was willing to let her beside his protest at the idea.

She wishes she was back in California with Mike, Will, Jonathan, and even his friend Argyle. This wasn't supposed to happen- her spring break was supposed to be perfect. She shouldn't have lied to Mike in the first place, it's her fault that she's in her current situation. Maybe she deserved to be here. Maybe a lab was the only place a freak like her belonged.

Now thanks to her all her friends in Hawkins are going to die painful deaths and if she knows her boys in California like she thinks she does they weren't going to stay still. She wouldn't be surprised if Papa told her within the next few days that Hawkins fell and with it everyone she's ever loved.

Everything was hopeless; Eleven was back to being the scared little experiment child from when she lived in the labs. She was going to be forced to spend the rest of her days with Papa until it killed her. She was going to die without hearing Mike say he loved her to her face.

No, she couldn't give up. She was going to find away out of here. She was going to find a way to save her friends and she was going to find a way to get Mike to confess his love. Her names Eleven and she's not a freak, she had friends, she has a boyfriend. She not only has people she loves, she has people that love her back and she is willing to do anything it takes to save her loved one's lives.
