The Never Ending Rain

Prologue

The dark clouds continued to plague the sky as more and more rain poured upon the earth. Accompanied by bouts of gale force winds that strip away the limbs off of trees and blew just about anything around that wasn't bolted down. It also didn't help that a few rumbles of thunder roared across the skies with its partner lightning who wasn't to far behind.

The weather has been going on like this for weeks. The reports of flooding around the world continue to grow for no matter what measures are taken nothing seems to work..

At Camp Half Blood training in conditions like these were a good thing. But as the days went on the grounds became too muddy making it impossible to train let alone walk.

The only thing the children could do was sit in the main tent with their text books in hand while trying to stay awake during their teachers lecture.

Sitting at one of the desks Percy Jackson let out a yawn as he stared at his math book. But as he was about to write some notes a voice entered his mind.

Where are you? Can you here me?

At first it was whisper but over time it grew louder it also didn't help that another voice joined in as well.

"Have you found him?"

"No"

"We must hurry time is short."

Setting down his pencil and rubbing his forehead Percy sighed. From what he gathered it was two women and they were looking for something or someone. But if this wasn't from anyone here then who could it be.

Percy got his answer when the sound of footsteps reached his ears. With everyone's eyes on the entrance they watched as two women walked in. They both had long raven black hair but one held a staff and the other had a sword holder on either hip.

"May I help you ladies?" Chiron asked.

"My name is Mave and this is Nautica we are looking for the son of Poseidon." The woman with the staff said.

"I see well my name is Chiron I am the headmaster here, but Why are you looking for him?" Chiron asked.

Sensing an uneasiness from the women he noticed Nautica scanning the room. The moment she looked in Percy's direction she took a step forward. But before Chiron could react she was stopped by Mave. After giving Nautica a stern look Mave turned back to Chiron.

"As you have seen the weather has taken a turn for the worst, tropical storms and hurricanes seem to have formed out of thin air. Or at least that is what the meteorologists believe." Mave explained.

"But we know better." Chiron said.

"Correct, for you see Poseidon's trident is gone and in turn so is he." Mave said.

Gasps filled the air as whispers spread across the students. But they went silent when Mave hit the ground with her staff.

"We need his son so that he can help us find the trident and his father." Mave explained.

"If we don't find him the rain will never end and it will flood the world." Nautica added.

A sigh escaped Percy's lips as he rose to his feet.

"I am Percy Jackson the son of Poseidon...now let's go save the world.
