Chapter 1: The Recap

Dear Diary

It's me again, Star Strong.

A lot has happened since the last time I wrote here but I am happy to say that things are still good as I enjoy the new version of normal within my life.

Anyway, here are the basics.

Mom and Dad are both okay. Dad is still busy with work, is still dating Solene and is still the best dad ever to me. Things with Mom had been tense during the pageant where she tried to coach me...and since my mother is a former beauty queen who is OBSESSED with winning pageants, I had to deal with her driving me CRAZY all week with all of her "help". To make matters worse, it was for a pageant that SPECTRA was behind.

Long story short, things had been crazy...including me...I ended up snapping at everyone, including my mom and said some really hurtful things that I now regret...but thanks to Danny and everyone snapping some sense into me, I was freed by that old crone's brainwashing and "Danny Phantom" and his "helpers" managed to defeat that creepy ghoul, capture her and free everyone from her evil grasp.

So anyway, Valerie ended up winning the pageant in the end and I got second place. I was bummed that I lost but I was happy for my friend. Plus, as long as PAULINA or COLETTE didn't win, I was happy.

Anyway, after the battle, I made up with Mom and apologized to everyone who I hurt. Even if Spectra had brainwashed me, I still hurt their feelings and I had to apologize for that. Thankfully, there were no hard feelings and everything went back to normal.

Anyway, that was over a week ago and life was bad to our version of normal.

Things were better with mom...and I was being a little more observant around her, since I am still worried about how she is feeling, given things I discovered during the pageant, particularly about my mother and how she really thinks of her own life. She insists that she is fine but I still wonder about her.

There is also that...thing...with Christopher...I have been wanting to talk to him to see if we can work out our issues but I haven't been able to talk to him about it yet. I haven't even seen him since the pageant but I still want to try and fix things with him...to make it up to him for acting so cold to him when I was an A-Lister.

Danny is still wanting to support me and offered to help, but as I told him, it's something I have to fix on my own.

Other than that, things are still amazing with Danny and the amazing life we have together.

Pierre is still my adorable baby brother, who is getting bigger and saying more words, his favorites being "Star" and "Danny". I laughed so hard when he said Danny's name with Jean-Puke within ear-shot. I saw the look on his face and found it hilarious.

As for friends, things were still okay with Tucker and Sam, though Sam was still bummed that no one listened to her about the beauty pageant...still, she seemed to calmed down a bit after that...most likely because of that secret admirer that she claims that she doesn't care about...but it's totally obvious that she does!

Things were better than ever with Valerie, who is still happy that she won the pageant and got a scholarship for it, which eased up one thing in her life, if only a little bit.

Unfortunately, I still have to deal with unpleasant things like Colette and Paulina. Thankfully, Colette is still grounded and so is Paulina, for their behavior at the pageant, so there's that.

Dealing with them is nothing if it means that I still get to be with my darling Danny-boo. I love him so much and despite the type of...inconveniences...in our life, it's worth it. I love him more and more each day and I feel so happy that such a wonderful guy is all mine.

Ghosts, A-Listers and obnoxious step-sisters can't ever get between us and I just know that what Danny and I have is special and no one can tear us apart.

Star finished writing in her diary and smiled.

"And done..."She said before she placed it in her usual hiding spot under her mattress.

The blonde girl smiled, feeling relaxed and happy as she thought about her precious boyfriend.

Star sighed happily.

Today had been a wonderful day with her beloved boyfriend.

They had spent half of class time passing romantic, cutesy notes to each other, snuck in some make-out sessions during lunch time and free period and then enjoyed a romantic picnic with each other before stargazing until it was time for curfew.

It was so romantic and even after he brought her home, they spent a good amount of time talking and flirting over the phone.

Yes, it was simply wonderful.

She glanced at her favorite picture of Danny that she kept close on her bed-side table. She sighed, smiling at it.

"Oh, Danny..."She whispered as she placed a kiss on it, something that she has been doing lately.

She smiled, feeling as much in love with him as ever.

The blonde girl was happy but her father knocked on the door to remind her that it's time to go to bed. Not wanting to get scolded, the blonde girl decided to get ready and go to bed. However, she glanced one last glance at her favorite picture of her beloved.

The blonde teenager soon went to bed, feeling blissful as she dreamt about her beloved and knowing that nothing and no one could ever come between them.

She was certain of that!

Meanwhile

While Star had been swooning over her boyfriend and how content she was in her life, another girl was busy in another house, away in a less than fancy neighborhood.

It was a young girl, who instead of being on a date or swooning over boyfriends, was in the middle of studying. Not exactly because she wants to or because she has any tests coming up, but because she was told to do so...and had nothing else to do, it seems.

"Some Friday night. I really need to get more..."The girl thought, frustrated but continued.

She kept studying until it was late and her mother reminded her to go to sleep. The girl did so, going to sleep...unaware of what tomorrow may bring.
