Today was finally the day, Hank Voight was finally going to welcome his newborn baby girl into the world. After the death of his first wife he never thought he'd find love again until he met her. Anna Carter was the most beautiful woman he laid eyes on. Her long luscious brown silky hair, her big chocolate brown eyes.

The pair had actually met during a case and clicked insistently. Hank had tried to keep the relationship strictly professional as did Anna but that all had stopped when they both realized they had fallen in love with each other hard. Hank had never felt this way about another woman.

Anna had been extremely nervous, her relationship would be her first in years. She never expected to fall in love. She never thought of having a relationship let alone being in one. Her younger brother, Josh, often teased her about the only real relationship she'd have was to the job. Just as Hank did.

Only after a few months of dating Anna had become pregnant with hers and Hank's first child. She had surprised Hank with the pregnancy test and a onesie, she had also surprised his oldest son, Justin with a t-shirt and a onesie. The small family was excited. Justin had been happy for his father, his father was alone and miserable for years until Anna and now their family is expanding in just a matter of months.

Soon the day came, Anna was in labor with her daughter. Justin rushed her to the hospital and then called his father. She had been in grueling, agonizing pain. Hank had soon come into the room.

"I'm right here baby, you're doing so well" Hank says softly, smoothing back her hair off her sweaty forehead.

A loud scream tore from her throat as a sharp contraction hit. "Hank! I swear on everything, you're never touching me again!"

He couldn't help but chuckle. "Whatever you say sweetheart"

She squeezed his hand tightly as another contraction hit and another scream tore from her throat. "Hank! I'm going to kill you!"

He chuckled again. "Just as long as I see my little girl first"

Soon enough Anna was dilated enough to start pushing, after a few pushes she had collapsed back on the bed completely drained. Hank had wiped her forehead of sweat.

"You can do this honey, you're almost there"

"I…I can't. It hurts to much"

"You can do this Anna, I know you can. You're so strong, brave, a fighter. Just like our little girl. You can do this, for her"

With help of her boyfriend, Anna had gotten propped up on the bed and began pushing and pushing. She screamed as loudly as she could while holding Hank's hand, before long she gave the final push with a loud scream. The new mother had allowed her exhausted body to collapse once again on the soft bed as the doctor held a small bundle in his arms.

"Congratulations, it's a baby girl," The doctor said, with a smile.

They had cleaned the baby and placed her on Anna's covered chest. The small baby girl had a small mop of brown hair that was just like her mother's. Her baby cheeks were a little chubby. She had been whining and whimpering getting used to the new surroundings around her.

The new parents awed over their beautiful new baby girl. Anna softly kissed her head, Hank had kissed both of their heads as he stood guard over his family.

"Hi sweet girl, I'm your momma. I'll always love you" Anna cooed softly, stroking her daughter's soft hair back. She had then looked at Hank. "You wanna hold her?"

The older father had smiled. "Of course"

Carefully Anna passed their daughter to Hank and he carefully took her into his arms and cradled her to his chest. He smiled down at the baby girl he was holding. Hank had been flashing back to when Justin was born and he was feeling this way.

"Hi there sweetheart, I'm your daddy" Hank cooed at his daughter. He had given a small glance to Anna. "She's not dating till she's 40"

Anna had given a small laugh. "Oh Hank, you're gonna be a lot of fun when she's a teenager"

"You do know I have guns right?"

"You forget Mr. Detective, I have guns to"

"You get some rest, I'm gonna take her to see Justin. I'll be back"

"Don't be to long, I'm gonna have to feed her soon"

"I promise, you just get some rest"

The two shared a quick kiss and Anna had closed her eyes, right after Hank and left the room a tall figure wearing scrubs and a surgical mask had gone over and injected a needle into Anna's IV. She opened her eyes and insistently regretted it the last thing she heard before it went dark was,

"You took something from me, I'm going to take something from you"

Once he had been done injecting the needle he pocketed it and simply walked out. He went over to where Hank and Justin were. Justin Voight had been in awe over his baby sister. He never knew years prior, he was a twin and he had a sister that had been stillborn.

"Jordan. Her name should be Jordan" Justin said, looking at his baby sister.

"Jordan Voight. It's perfect" Hank agreed with his son.

The man had walked over to Hank with a smile, this was going to be easy as pie.

"Mr. Voight, if you don't mind I'm going to take the baby upstairs for some testing"

"Testing? What kind of testing?" Justin asked, getting close standing guard over his new sister.

"It's just some standard testing for newborns. To check her hearing, do some blood work. Make sure she's all healthy to go home"

"I should go tell my fiance" Hank told him, cradling his daughter close.

"I just came from seeing her, I explained everything"

Hank was hesitant but had eventually handed his little girl over to the doctor and watched as they headed for the elevators. Once inside the elevator the man smirked and looked down at the sleeping baby in his arms.

"Well Jordan, looks like we're going to be very good friends. Your mother took something from me. It only seemed fair if I returned the favor" He muttered at the sleeping baby.

He had headed for the parking garage gently bouncing the baby to keep her sleeping soundly and to keep her quiet. Once going to the car a panicked guy came out.

"I can't do this anymore. This is wrong" The guy said nervously. "This out does everything we've done Jacob. You're screwing with a fed and a cop"

"Yeah, a fed that took everything from me. It only seemed fair I took something of hers"

"If you wanna go down for this fine. I'm not. I'm done. Give me the baby now"

Jacob laughed dryly. "You're telling me what to do little brother? That's rich"

"I've stood by and helped you through a lot. I've never once gone against you. Now you're crossing dangerous territory and boundaries. Just give me the baby and we can walk out of this"

"Alright"

Holding the baby in one arm he pulled something from his pocket, a gun. It was a silencer, he didn't want to use it but his brother forced his hand. Nothing would get in his way of revenge. He fired the gun and put three bullets in his brother, walking around the dead body he gently placed the sleeping baby in a car seat and buckled her in.

"Time to hit the road kid"

Jacob had gotten in the driver seat and started the car, with a smirk on his face he had run over his brother's dead body and peeled out of there. Glanicing in the rear view mirror he kept eyes on the sleeping newborn then back to the road, he was hoping to get as far out of Illinois as possible.

Hours had passed and Hank was getting dead nervous as the doctor hadn't returned with his daughter and Anna hadn't woken yet. Finally he went to the nurse's station hoping to get some information on his daughter.

"What can I do for you Hank?" Maggie asked.

"A doctor had taken Jordan up for tests and hadn't come back yet. Is there any way you can see what's taking so long?" Hank asked, trying to keep his voice steady.

"Sure. Do you remember the doctor's name?"

"I can't remember. There wasn't a name tag"

"Let me look right quickly"

The nurse had begun checking the computers and began to get highly concerned. Hank had noticed the changed expression on her face.

"What's wrong?"

Instead of answering she had called Sharon Goodwin and they began looking into it. Not getting any answers the older father looked between the two women with a look that held anger, fear, and nervousness.

"What are you two not telling me?" Hank tried not to snap.

The older woman, Sharon had rounded the desk and put a gentle hand on his arm while Maggie called a Code Pink shutting the hospital down. Hank felt his heart racing in his chest as he looked at the shorter woman.

"Hank, Jordan wasn't taken for any tests. There's no records indicating she was taken for any testing" She started gently.

In that moment he felt his heart stop completely, his blood went cold. He was going numb. Had he handed his baby over to a complete lunatic? What the hell had he done? His baby girl was missing and it was his fault.

"Sharon, are you telling me that…"

"I think Jordan was kidnapped"

When those words left her Hank couldn't breathe, his chest filling up with pain. Everything around him was getting blurry. His baby girl was gone just like that. And he handed her over to a complete stranger. The older man had felt his body going numb.

Hank hadn't heard Sharon give orders to everyone in the hospital to search the building from top to bottom. Finally snapping to his senses he had called on a few people he trusted to join in on the search.

Alvin Olinsky, Trudy Platt, Jimmy Shi, Kenny Rixton and Erin Lindsay, had all gone down to the hospital to join in on the search. Hank had gone back to be with Anna. Laying in the hospital bed, Anna had finally come to after being drugged with a sedative.

Looking over she saw Hank with a distraught look on his face, she felt her heart racing in her chest. Fear and anxiety filling her body, she had felt her body slightly shake with nerves when she didn't hear anything from him.

"Hank, what's going on?" She asked, her voice filled with absolute fear.

"Anna…I'm so sorry" He choked out.

She began shaking her head, tears springing to her eyes and began falling mixing with some sweat. "No. Hank please"

"Jordan…she….she's gone, it looks to be a kidnapping"

Before Anna could make any reaction her body had started shaking, her eyes rolled into the back of her head. Before Hank could blink she was fully seizing and he called for help. The next few moments had been a blur, he was being rushed out of the room and the door closed.

His body was going completely numb. First his little girl was gone and now possibly Anna. How did the best day of his life turn into an absolute nightmare? Everything was going so well, all right and then it was hell. All he knew was that whoever had taken his baby, it would cost them their life and he meant it. If need be, he will tear apart the entire city to find her. He will turn Chicago and possibly all of Illinois inside out, he will leave no rock unturned. He vowed from that day on he would not stop looking for his daughter.

Time had begun to pass by slowly but fast. Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. Jordan had been missing for 6 months. Hank and Anna used all the connections they had to find their daughter. Jacob had been smart enough to hack into the hospital security system and erased any and all footage of him. Anna knew who had done it but there was no sign or a trace of Jacob or her daughter anywhere in Chicago or in the state. It was as if they vanished completely. As if they were off the grid.

Jacob knew to not leave any evidence. He managed the perfect kidnapping without leaving a single trace. There wasn't any evidence, the proof they once had was gone. They had no evidence, no leads, not so much as a trace. After going on zero leads after months of searching the case of Jordan Voight went cold.

The pain of losing their daughter had been too much on Hank and Anna, they had ended up blaming themselves and eventually each other. All the fighting had led them to splitting up. Anna needed to get out of Chicago; it was too painful to be there. Where she lost her one and only child. Hank had stayed, his daughter's case may have been closed but he would not give up searching for her. Nothing would ever make him stop.

Meanwhile

Out east in the Washington DC area, Jacob had been running as he was in a chase with the FBI and local Metro DC police. A tall dark-skinned man with a dark blue vest had been chasing him followed by an average height dark haired, pale woman.

"Stop! FBI!" The agent, Derek Morgan said.

"Jacob Desmond! Stop!" Came the female agent, Emily Prentiss.

The man had stopped and smirked, he turned towards the two agents and began reaching for something in his back pocket.

"Don't you move! You reach and we will shoot!" Morgan yelled.

"Jacob, you don't want to do this. Think about your daughter. That little girl. She's going to need you alive" Emily tried to defuse the situation. "Tell me what her name is"

"Jordan"

"That's a beautiful name. She's what 6 months old?"

"I ain't going back to prison. After all, I got my revenge. She took something from me, I took something from her. She made me suffer, I made her suffer. It seemed but only fair and right"

"Who's she Jacob?"

"Tell her she'll never find her daughter. It's been fun and one hell of a ride"

"Jacob, don't. Tell us who Jordan's mother is. That baby is going to need her mother" Emily spoke again.

"Anna doesn't deserve to be a mother. She couldn't protect her own baby, she isn't fit to be a mother. Like I said, tell her she'll never find her and it's been a hell of a ride"

Before Derek or Emily could respond Jacob pulled a gun out and before he could pull the trigger on himself, Derek had got him in the arm using a non fatal shot. Emily had gone over kicking the gun away. She then bent down and grabbed him up.

"Jacob Desmond, you're under arrest for human trafficking"

In a different part of the area an older average Italian man, Dave Rossi followed by a beautiful blonde woman, Jennifer Jareau or JJ, and a tall skinny brown haired man that looked like a kid, Spencer Reid, had busted into an apartment.

There was a loud crying coming from one of the back rooms, JJ had gone to check it while the two men had searched the apartment. Going to the room she pushed the door gently still holding her gun tightly in her hand. Looking inside she saw it was a nursery.

Inside was a white crib and in the crib was a baby girl that was roughly 6 months old. The little girl wore a pink onesie, there was a bottle beside her with a blanket and toy. On the wall above the crib was the name JORDAN in bright pink letters.

Putting her weapon away she rushed to the crib and picked up the crying baby and began bouncing her gently. Soon the small baby stopped crying and looked at the new woman.

"There we go, is that better sweetheart? You probably wanted to be held. I think someone needs a diaper change and needs a bottle. How does that sound?" JJ used a soft, warm voice.

Jordan looked at her curiously and smiled, she laid her head on the woman's shoulder waving her hand. The blonde woman held the baby close to her and bounced her. Little did she know her life as she knew it was going to change indefinitely for the better.
