"Ah hell...", Leizcio says groggily, slowly lifting himself up after waking up. Looking at his alarm, it read 6:00 am...

"WHY DID I WAKE UP AT THIS TIME?!" "AND ON A WEEKEND?!" Leizcio internally yelled, however, he heard a knock on his door, it couldn't be pech, he'd be putting his paws under the door, so it was probably his sister, Lavania. But the cafe doesn't open until 10:00 am, so what does she want at this godforsaken time? Reluctantly, Leizcio opened the door, greeting his sister.

"Hey Lav, whatcha need?" Leizcio asked half-awake.

"Leizcio I asked you yesterday if you could get me some ingredients for the cafe for the new pastries remember?" Lavania asked in a semi-irritated tone.

'Shit I completely forgot'

"Yeah don't worry! I was just about to get ready to head to the market to get them!" Leizcio said.

"That's a fucking lie and you know it, now hurry up please, I want them before we open today!" Lavania said, knowing Leizcio was lying and just barely woke up.

"Okay, okay! I'll be back soon with the ingredients!" Leizcio said now fully awake, wiping away at his eyes.

'Damn, why didn't I just go yesterday?' Leizcio thought to himself as he quickly changed into something casual, a plain lavender shirt and grey shorts. He takes his wallet, phone, and keys and starts to head out for the market. But he couldn't leave until he did one thing.

"Hi pech!" Leizcio said quietly to his cat, patting him on the head before leaving for the market.

As he exited the cafe, the place he also calls home, he was greeted by an unexpectedly warm morning, with the streets looking silent except for a few people here and there. To be fair it was still rather early and the weekend so people were most likely sleeping in. Feeling more energetic thanks to the warm sun, he began his walk to the market.

On his way to the market, he puts on some music to listen to and was scrolling through his phone. Most of the time looking at new support gear, also reminding him that he needs to order some new parts for the coffee machine that Lavania wanted to fix.

Oh! The market is close, I can see it!" Leizcio said as he began to jog his way over.

As he entered the market, he grabbed a basket and took a quick look at the list that Lavania had given him before he went further.

"Let's see, she needs a few sticks of cinnamon, a pound of bittersweet chocolate chips, about two things of peanut butter, and some things of butter. Seems easy enough."

Going through the aisles getting what he needed to get, he quickly paid for the ingredients and put away the basket he used. However, for some odd reason, it gave him a nasty static shock that was stronger than others he felt.

"Ah fuck! Why did that hurt so much? Weird."

Exiting the market, he began to make his way back home, looking at his phone. It was 7:10, so he should be able to make it in time.

Or at least that's what he thought, turns out there was a villain incident on the way back so he had to take a long path around the incident to get back on the path back home.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck!" "Why does this always happen!" Leizcio thought to himself as he was running.

"Hey! Hey you in the purple!" said a random voice from behind Leizcio.

'Goddamnit, what now?' 'And it's lavender, get it right.'

"Yeah, can I help you with something?" Leizcio responded annoyed.

"Yeah you can, how about you start by giving me your money! I know you work with that person who runs that cafe! You gotta be rich with how your little business is doing! So come on! Hand it over!" The mugger yelled as he glared at Leizcio.

"Hell no!" Leizcio said even more annoyed.

"If you ain't gonna give it to me, then I'll have to force it from you!" The mugger yelled, clapping his hands together with his index fingers forming water and pointing directly at Leizcio.

'Fuck why am I like this' Leizcio thought as he saw water come out of the mugger's fingers.

'Guess I just gotta hope this hurts a lot and doesn't kill me huh?' as he closed his eyes expecting the high-pressure water to hit him.

Except, he didn't feel anything? Why? Leizcio began to open his eyes and everything looked like everything was moving at a turtle's pace, even the water attack!

"What the fuck?" Leizcio said, bewildered by what's occurring. He looks down at his body and sees small traces of lightning beginning to surround him.

"Alright, this makes no sense." Leizcio says looking around him as he's trying to comprehend what's happening.

He walks towards the mugger, watching as the water was still going straight ahead where he was standing before. Once he was standing right next to the mugger, he started to think about how he should mess with the pitiful guy.

"Lemme just do this really quick."

After thinking how he should get at the mugger, he flipped him over, with the mugger's head on the concrete, with the whole event not even registering in the mugger's perspective.

"I should probably go home now. But it'd be so fun to run there at super speed! Why does quirk usage have to be illegal? Actually, never mind."

With that in mind, he dashed to a safe distance in his speed mode, and things slowly started to appear to move at a regular pace as Leizcio began to approach the cafe.

"Agh, Fuck! What the Fuck just happened!" The mugger asked himself as he found himself upside down and later falling face flat from the recoil of his quirk.

"Lav!" "Lav!" LAV!" Leizcio yelled as he entered the cafe.

"What now Leizcio?" Lavania glared in annoyance at his brother.

"I have a quirk now!" Leizcio exclaimed.

"..."

"..."

Lavania stopped working on her computer and just silently approached him.

"Exactly how do you have a quirk now?"

Leizcio scratches his head nervously as he also has to explain how exactly it happened.

"Uh funny story, I was getting mugged on the way back, and my quirk just kinda activated!"

"God! You're not hurt are you?" Lavania exclaimed as she quickly started to see if he was injured anywhere.

"No no! Just a bit hungry is all!" Leizcio said shaking his head.

"Wait, what even is your quirk?"

"How am I supposed to know? I just manifested it a few minutes ago?"

"Okay okay, we'll look into it once the pastries are in the oven okay?"

"Okay sounds good to me! Here are the ingredients!"

"Thanks, now get out the equipment, we'll make it in a flash."

After preparing the pastries and putting the ones that needed to be baked in the oven, they went to the basement they use for working out. The two sat down and began to start to think.

"Okay, so what happened when you were being mugged?" Lavania asked her brother, with her laptop out to take notes and theorize what his quirk is.

"Okay so I was standing 'gunpoint' since they had a water pressure cutter like quirk, and I refused to give them money and-

-Smack-

"Hey!" Leizcio said as he rubbed his head from where Lavania hit him over the head.

"While I'm glad that you have a quirk now, Don't do that!"

"Hell no! I worked hard for that money!"

"Fine, but don't be dumb about it if it happens again. Anyways, continue."

"Okay so I expected to be hit, except everything slowed down around me, even the water was slow, and there were like these small things of lightning surrounding me as I walked. It was like I was a walking battery that slowed down time!"

"I think I more or less understand what your quirk is now. Do you remember that one old American show back when superheroes were only in comics?"

"Well, which one?"

"I don't remember really but it was about some speedster hero, that was able to run so fast that time looked like it stopped when really, he was just going so fast that he perceived things much faster than anyone else did."

"WAIT THAT MEANS I'M A SPEEDSTER?!" Leizcio yelled enthusiastically getting out of his chair in excitement.

-sigh- "Yes, your quirk in some form makes you a speedster, but I don't know about all the details. We should probably go to a doctor about your qui-"

"No, we shouldn't, if we do, Mashito will probably find out I have a quirk and separate us just so he can make me a mini him. I don't want to do that."

"You bring up a good point, but how do we figure it out then?"

"Do you have a friend that happens to be a doctor?" Leizcio said sarcastically.

"Actually yes I do, I can probably call her about it, and make sure that your info is as secure as possible so Mashito can't find out about it."

"Huh neat, wait since you own this property, can't I use my quirk here?"

"Yes, and I'm fine with you training and learning about your quirk, but just don't do it in front of customers and such, it'd be hard to explain why my brother is suddenly running at high speeds all over the place, heh." Lavania tells Leizcio, happy that he has a new gift and to see him smile so brightly.

"Great, that sounds good to me!" Replies Leizcio, smiling with a wide grin and feeling great about himself.

"Okay, now let's go check the pastries and set up the cafe, it's almost opening time!"

"Got it Lav!"
