CHAPTER 1: The Way Of The Outlaw
Running, Running does many things to a man it can give someone a purpose, or it can serve a purpose for someone. And right now in the village of Konoha one Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze is running. Running away from the place that gives him pain as he runs he remembers the earlier events of today for today was October 10th *FLASHBACK*
Naruto had woken up with high hopes today because today was his 6th birthday as Naruto did his morning ritual's he looked at himself in the mirror he reflected on how he looked wearing a white shirt with the Uzumaki sign on the back greenish shorts and white and black sandals, the whole outfit was a big contrast to his hair which was a sun yellow with red highlights and his eyes an ocean blue with his whisker birthmarks .Making his way out of bathroom and downstairs to the dining room Naruto noticed that his family was eating without him already celebrating the 6th birthdays of Fuso and Menmma Uzumaki Namikaze as Naruto approached the table he sat next to his youngest sibling Mito Uzumaki Namikaze a young four year old girl with red hair and ocean blue eyes just like their fathers .As the family ate Naruto decided to ask his parents if they could train him to be a ninja, this is not the first time he had asked them but he wanted to believe that today would be different. Minato and kushina looked at their child and Minato started speaking. "Naruto we already had this conversation before you can start your training at the beginning of the academy."
"But why" said Naruto ,Kushina then started to speak. "Because Fuso and Menmma need to be trained in order to control and harness the demon foxes power they have a big responsibility on their shoulders and need to be helped."Little did any of the parents know was that Naruto knew the exact reason as to why his parents only trained his two other siblings. All because of prophecy that was told to them by Jiraiya the toad sage. Who came to them over a year ago and told them what the great toad's foretold, the prophecy stated that two children who hold an incredible power will either prevent the destruction of the elements countries or bring destruction to them. Jiraiya would heavily suggest that both Minato and Kushina should start training Menmma and Fuso because he and toad's believed that they were the children of the prophecy. After listening to prophecy the pride of both parents went high and so did their worries. Nevertheless they started to train both Fuso and Menmma, with the help of Jiraiya and Senju Tsunade the slug sannin .Throughout that year Naruto had asked time and time again to be trained to show he was worth something it was the same response every time either a glare from Tsunade, a rejection from Jiraiya or a scolding from his parents and all the while his two siblings laughed and smirked at him for his misfortune as the conversation came to an end with his parents .Minato and Kushina continued to celebrate the birthdays of Fuso and Menmma whilst Naruto had finished his food and decided that he would go out to the village but before leaving he reassured his younger sister mito that he would come back to play ninja with her, which she was more than happy with that response. As Naruto snuck out of his house he begins to walk through the village he notice's all the looks of the villagers and it's just like how his so called family looks at him. With disappointment, disapproval and anger which angered and confused Naruto because his siblings were never looked at this way. They were always looked at like they were some hero's which made Naruto feel a bit of pain in his heart, as Naruto made his way to a bar for Jonin called "The Blackout Bar". This became his favorite place to be. After he was kicked off hokage mountain for supposedly ruining the monument by a squad of chunin plus the bar and its patrons along with the owner were friendly with Naruto finding him to be a quiet yet a happy go lucky kid but some of the jonin could tell behind those eyes he was hurting. When Naruto entered the bar he saw the regular patrons and the owner, who was a man in his mid 40s Named Kishimoto who had black slick backed hair with the white hairs already showing, he wore small circled glasses that were tinted black to the point where you couldn't see his eyes. He wore black trousers, plain black long sleeved top and black shoes "hey there little light how are" Kishimoto ask's "I am well Kishimoto san ,how are you" Naruto says
"I'm doing fine little light and I told you already stop with the formalities it makes me feel old" as Kishimoto jokingly glares at Naruto, who just gave a fox like smile "do you want the usual" ask's Kishimoto " yes please Kishi Chan" ,"coming right up then". As Naruto was waiting on the bar stool one of the patrons sat next to him ,who always like to talk and eat with Naruto because of his mannerisms and how open the boy was when they were in a conversation. This person was Itachi Uchiha, the prodigy of the uchiha clan. Itachi and Naruto met when Naruto was being chazed by the villagers and was pushed into the woman's side of the hot springs where an irritated and surprised Uchiha saw him there, since that day Itachi had helped Naruto with the basics of life like mannerisms and how to speak properly " hello Itachi San how have you been" Itachi looks at him with a smile "I have been good Naruto San, happy birthday". Naruto looks at her in disbelief "you know my birthday?" "of course being jonin has its benefits" as she sees that the side of Naruto's eyes begins to water "Thank you" says Naruto in a hushed voice"there is no need to thank me as friends and comrades we should be there for each other" says Itachi as she cleans the tears of Naruto's face and at the same time kishimoto came back with salmon and rice for Naruto "oh hello Itachi San I did not know you were here" "I just got here Kishimoto San to celebrate with Naruto", "oh right thanks for reminding me ,happy birthday Naruto", " thank you kishimoto san". As Kishimoto hands the plate to Naruto the three continue to converse about celebrating Naruto's birthday as Their conversation comes to an end Itachi notices the time and sees that it is close to the evening's end. She tells Naruto that she will walk him home which Naruto agrees to, the walk home for both of them was quiet until Itachi asks a question "Naruto", Naruto looks at Itachi "yes Itachi San" , "I know that I asked this before but... are you okay" they stopped as things got quite, Naruto starts to talk " I'm alright Itachi San" Naruto says with a big smile. Itachi sees his smile and knows that he doesn't believe that himself "ok just want to remind you that there are people that care for you okay", "No worries Itachi San I know that you care" Naruto then run's up to her and gives her a hug which she blushes from "thank you" says Naruto "anything too see that smile" Itachi thought as she hugged Naruto back. Naruto would make it back to his house to hear a lot of noise coming from his house. "It's already started" said Naruto in a whisper, as Naruto opened the door he noticed that a lot of the clan heads were here along with Tsunade and Jiriya also being there, but little did Naruto know, he had came home to a painful revelation " hello everyone may I have your attention" said Minato, as everyone gives their attention to him "thank you all for coming to my childrens" birthday and I would like to make a few announcements before we continue to the gifts". As he looks at his older daughter and son he tells them something no-one would expect "your mother and I have decided to name Menmma the Namikaze heir and Fuso the Uzumaki heir. For 2 seconds it was quiet then the crowd began to cheer and all was well but no-one noticed that Naruto was clenching his fist in anger and sadness for his parents taking away the one thing that he had, his hands were starting to bleed a bit, without his knowledge his killer intent started to leak out strongly everyone at the party noticed and some began to sweat but before anyone could find the person responsible Naruto had ran out of the house.
END FLASHBACK*
As Naruto kept running throughout the village his eyes were flowing with tears his pain was so much that he didn't pay attention where he was going that he bumped into someone "I -I'm sorry Mrs" as Naruto stared at the lady he bumped into "it's okay it's my fault for not paying attention " she said ,but as soon as she got to her feet she noticed Naruto was gone *with Naruto* as he ran through the village Naruto never noticed that he had ran outside the village walls and into the forest but it didn't matter he was in so much pain that it didn't matter where he went as long as he didn't feel like he felt right now. It wasn't till Naruto tripped over something that was metal and fell face first into the grass that he came to a halt when Naruto looked over to see what he tripped on he noticed a hand not only that he noticed the crater the hand was in it wasn't deep but still . As Naruto sat there in the forest not knowing what to do next he heard a voice, the voice was very strange it was as if it was worried and looking for something or someone, Naruto then saw a flash of a blue light not being sure who this was he decided to hide in some bushes the person? heard this and went to look in the direction that it heard the noise. Naruto saw the blue light coming closer to his location and closed his eyes when he though whoever it was found him ...but nothing happened, he opened his eyes and saw the light was heading towards the hand in the crater and the light did something weird it started deconstructing parts of it self and with an energy wave dispersed that was felt by Naruto and a blinding light that emerged from the light and the hand in the crater Naruto had to close his eyes before he went blind but when the light began to die down he opened his eyes slowly to notice that the hand the person belong to had risen up from the ground and started cleaning himself, when Naruto got a closer look at the man he got startled because the man's skin was all metal and in the middle of his forehead there was a horn pointing out. "Well would you look at this Sundance my pal we are in the middle of nowhere." Said the metal man. Sundance began to speak "Well maybe if you had listened like I told you and not use the vex teleporter we wouldn't have ended up here cayde." "Yeah but where is the adventure if you don't take a risk." "There should always be a reward for the risk all the vex teleporter did was make our situation worse for us." "But hey look at the bright side looks like we haven't been disturbed at all and forest is pretty nice.""Yeah and did you suddenly forget that YOU destroyed the vex teleporter when we used it to get here" Sundance said in happy sarcastic tone "Oh... Dammit" cayde said "Ok ok ok ok I know how we can solve this" cayde said. "Oh so what's the plan cayde" Sundance said. "We wait." "What." "We wait for Zavala, Ikora and the guardian to fix the teleporter and bring us back" cayde said in enthusiastic tone."That is quite literally the dumbest plan ever made of all time" Sundance said."Well one of us has to keep the ball rolling now where's my gun."At that moment Naruto snapped a bush branch and cayde was alerted."So much for not being disturbed" Sundance said"Hey come out with hands out where I can see you"said cayde as he picked up a random stick from a tree. Naruto not knowing any better decides to heed the metal man's command. "Oh it's just a-a kid". "I'm sorry metal man-San I did not mean to disturb you, please do not hurt me" said Naruto. " Y-yeah don't worry kid I wasn't gonna hurt yeah I'm not built like that" Naruto visibly relaxed and for a time it was silent Naruto and cayde didn't move from there place and stood there . Then Naruto started to speak "sooo why are you out here " Naruto asked, cayde looked at him and began to speak "well it's not really easy to explain kid and I could ask you the same thing" ." I-I wanted to explore a little Naruto said sheepishly" cayde looks at him disbelieving " you know I can tell when someone lies to me something it's something you pick up with experience" after that Naruto had a downcast look, which only solidified cayde's assumption. "So what's wrong" cayde asked as he sat on a rock waiting for Naruto's response, Naruto felt at ease with the metal man and was deciding weather or not he should tell the man. "Listen if you don't want to tell you don't have to we all have our secrets right, so it's no problem". Naruto was reassured about the metal man and was about to speak when both Naruto and Cayde heard growling looking in the direction of the growling Naruto and Cayde were on edge to see 5 wolves looking at them like a piece of meat in Naruto's case and scrap ball in Cayde's case nevertheless they were both in a pretty bad situation. " Well wasn't expecting this" cayde said as he got in front of Naruto on instinct "where the hell is my gun" said cayde underneath his breath until he noticed a shine next to a little rock near the crater he was in ,as if it was his job cayde rushed the pack of wolves who intern rushed him. Just for Cayde to jump twice in the air above the wolves and spring roll next to the rock where his gun was and spun around and shot 5 shots all hitting critical parts of wolves but would not die. "Alright I still got it, hey kid you alright" Cayde looked at Naruto wondering why he wasn't answering until he noticed the kids stunned face. "I don't think a child seeing animals get hurt would put a good impression on him Cayde" Sundance said " Yeah already noticed that Sundance" but before Cayde could say anything else he heard voices. "Where the hell are the dam wolves" one man said " look I'm not sure but those noise from early and the whimpering I heard we have to be sure" another man said before entering the clearing and seeing Naruto behind Cayde. "Well if it ain't the bastardized child of 4th hokage" said the bigger of the two men who had red markings on their cheek's signifying their affiliation with the inazuka clan. Cayde didn't know what to make of this situation at first until he the words "Bastardized child" after those words Cayde's anger was realized being a father himself at one point in his previous life before turning into an EXO "What did you call him" Cayde said in a relaxed yet angered voice, then the men turned to Cayde who just noticed him "hey what in kami's name is wrong with your face friend" said the smaller man of the two "first of pal" said Cayde with relaxed venom tone. "We ain't friends, second off you should worry about what's about to both of your faces if you don't leave now and Being patience was never one for my strong points neither , but seeing I do just fine, what's it gonna be." After that the entire area went quite Cayde's hand was near his holdster getting ready to draw and the two men's hands were near their kunai holdster it wasn't until a leaf floated down and hit the ground and the men threw a combined 8 kunai with explosive tags towards Cayde and Naruto seeing that most of the kunai were heading towards Naruto, Cayde turn towards Naruto and covered him with all the kunai hitting his back and the explosion sending them away from the clearing. After the explosion ended Cayde was in another crater unable to move "dam" cayde said in an easy tone, then noticing that Naruto was a bit away from him unsure if the kid was unconscious or not " Well so much for saying all that trash talk when you can't even back it up" said smaller of the two men. "Unlike you two have a moral compass and it includes not killing kids" said cayde and mocking tone "it doesn't matter at end of today we get rid of the bastard child of the 4th hokage and a metal freak" said the taller inazuka man who pulled out another kunai and was getting ready to stab Cayde in the area where his heart was. At the same time this was happening Naruto had woken up from is slumber and saw that the metal man that saved him from certain death was about to be killed "n-n-no wait s-stop don't h-hurt him" said Naruto in a quiet voice but no one could hear him, he was about to see the only person that was friendly to him die because he couldn't do anything thing. The men then stabbed cayde in the heart but cayde only gave a grunt and they continued to stab cayde with him not giving them their satisfaction " why ..won't ..you.. die.. freak" said the smaller man in a yelling voice "because I'm made of sterner stuff" said Cayde in joking manner as they kept trying to kill him, whilst all of this is happening Naruto can't move and is horrified and many thoughts and emotions were going through his head "Why Can't I move" (STAB) "they're going to kill him if I don't move" (STAB) " s-s-stop" (STAB) "s-stop" (STAB) "STOP" Naruto yelled. But by then the taller of the two men dealt the final blow, killing Cayde in the process "NOOO" Naruto's heart felt clenched as he saw a man who was nice to him die for him. In his angered pain Naruto rushes the two men whilst purple smoke began to seep from his body and both his hands began two show long blades with curved ends and stabbed the taller of the two men moving him a little away from the crater and then dropped him, Naruto had then spun around to see that the smaller of the two men rushing towards him who was shocked at first but then angered. Naruto falling back on instinct's the dodge the man's over hand swipe and stab's the man through the mouth out of his head the blade fades away after a while and the man almost falls on him but Naruto moves away from him, Naruto was in shock at what he just did. But he didn't get to dwell on it for to long before remembering about the metal man, turning to the crater Naruto rushes to the metal man's side and tries to see if he was late. "M-metal man S-San are you okay, p-please wake up" says Naruto with tears in his eyes "p-please d-don't go" as Naruto is on his knees crying his eyes out for letting this happen he doesn't notice a little light that appears next to him. "Hey hey it's okay little guy he's just sleeping he will wake up after I help him" said Sundance, Naruto looks at the little light in distraught confusion " w-what do you mean h-he died because of m-me" Naruto said "well yeah but listen kid all you have to do is believe in the light". Naruto looks even more confused " t-the light, w-what do you mean", " the light is everywhere in our body in the ground and in the environment, it's also what you used to form those swords" Naruto then looks at Cayde after the explanation and ask the little light a question "c-can the light h-heal metal man San". "Of course it can I just need to concentrate a little so please stand back" Naruto then stands back from the little light and saw the little light do what he did earlier when he first saw the crater. After the expulsion of energy Naruto is shocked to see Cayde's eyes glow and him getting out of the crater "welp died twice and I'm still ready to rock and roll haha" said Cayde who then thank Sundance before turning his attention to Naruto who had a face of shock and relief. But before Cayde and Naruto could speak Sundance spoke "Cayde I need to tell you something about the little one", "I'm all ears pal what's up", " he can wield the light" said Sundance shocking Cayde, now Cayde was in a dilemma he wasn't sure what he should do, on the one hand he could wait for his friends at the tower to bring him back, on the other he couldn't leave this kid by himself especially since he can access the light and he has prior training, the more Cayde thought about his dilemma the easier the choice was. "Okay Sundance new plan" Cayde said in an exasperated voice, then turned to Naruto "Alright kid I don't know how to tell you this, but my friend says that you can do something only a few special people can do, now you don't know me and I don't know you but, what I want you to know is that I want to help you use the light to the fullest and protect yourself, seeing as that you are pretty infamous among your people, so what do you say kid" said Cayde in up-beat, kindhearted tone, Naruto was speechless his mind and emotions were all over the place today but when he thought about the metal man's offer the better the choice was, except for one thing " Do you mean it metal man San" said Naruto, " of course kid I never go back on my words", Naruto then looks at the man with a smile resembling a fox " well it would be nice to know the name of my soon to be sensei" Cayde chuckles then speaks "well if I can know yours" "my name is Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze", Cayde looks at Naruto then snickers, which made Naruto get a pouty face "that's a long name you got but I'll just call you Naruto and you my little student" as Cayde extended's his hand to Naruto who was still on the ground "can call me Cayde."
