One the things she loved most about living on the boat was the calmness. They had stopped and anchored he boat in the middle of the ocean and 'camped'. The weather was warm enough to sleep on the deck some nights, others they stayed in their bed below deck. The water was calm and so was the weather. A slight breeze here and there, but it was calm. It brought her calm. It helped stabilized her. Completely opposite of the life she left in Vegas. Left for him. Left for them. She didn't realize it was something she so desperately needed. She loved the calm. She was thriving in it, and so was the new version of their relationship.

While Sara had found the calm, the same couldn't be said for Gil that day. She could tell there was something bothering him. Before they made the vows to be husband and wife again, they made promises to each other. To communicate more. To not be afraid to tell the other something, even if the other person wasn't going to like it. To not keep things bottled up. They were still getting used to the new dynamic. Somethings, like Gil being more emotionally expressive, came easier. Especially with no one else but them around. She knew it would take some time. She knew he had to work though it himself and he would open up to her, she just had to wait.

She had figured they would sleep under the stars tonight. But during her bedtime routine, she realized he was in the bed below deck. She was not about to sleep a night not next to her husband. To her surprise, Gil was already in bed. The small light they kept on for midnight trips to the bathroom was the only illumination in the cabin. She could make her way to bed blindfolded if needed. She finished brushing her hair and teeth and made her way to the bed.

She knew he wasn't asleep. Just lying there, brain active as ever. His back was to her as she climbed in. Given the hour, she knew Gil wasn't up for sharing what was going on but she knew she had to do something to remind him that she was there for him when he was. She adjusted her pillow to that it was lower than his. Her face lined up to his bare shoulders. She lifted the blanket and crawled under, placing her head on her pillow and her arm over his torso. She snuggled up to his back and placed a kiss right over his heart.

"Sara, what are you doing?" he questioned in a whispered tone. She smiled into his back and he could feel it.

"I can feel you thinking about something. I know you are not ready to share so I just wanted to remind you that I am here." She replied in an equally hushed tone.

"I meant more of physically."

"Oh, I am spooning you. I never get to be the big spoon. It's fun."
