"Ron, Victoria, hurry up, you're falling behind!"

"Fred, did it ever occur to you that maybe if you walked a little bit slower, we wouldn't have as hard of a time keeping up with you? We don't all have your long legs, after all!" Victoria Lestrange huffed as she tried to keep up with her older adoptive brother. Honestly, she swore that the twins were going to be the death of her one of these days.

It certainly didn't help that she was trying to push a heavy cart filled with her luggage while trying to keep up with them, either. She let out a yelp as she tripped over her shoelace, and she would have fallen flat on her face if a black-haired boy hadn't grabbed her by the arm.

"Are you okay?" He asked, and Victoria nodded her head. "Yeah, I probably would have had a bloody nose though if you hadn't caught me. I suppose that my brother is to blame though, for trying to rush me. I don't see what the rush is, the train doesn't leave for another hour..."

"Speaking of trains, do you think that you could help me?" He pulled a ticket out of his pocket. "I'm looking for Platform 9 3/4, but no one seems to know what I'm talking about."

"That's Muggles for you. Follow me, I don't know exactly how to get there, seeing as this will be my first year at Hogwarts, but my mum can help. I'm Victoria by the way."

"Harry, Harry Potter."

Victoria arched an eyebrow. "Seems this year is going to be exciting for you then, isn't it? The Boy Who Lived, finally starting his schooling."

Harry chuckled a bit in embarrassment. "Honestly, I wish that everyone wouldn't make such a big deal out of me."

"I can imagine that it's all a bit much at times, don't worry though, I won't treat you like a celebrity." She nudged his shoulder, and Harry laughed a little bit. "Thanks."

"No problem. Oh, there's my Mum over there. Mum!" Victoria shouted and waved her hand, and Molly Weasley turned to look at the two. "Oh, there you are, dear. I was worried that we had lost you. Oh, who's this?"

"This is my new friend Harry. He doesn't know how to get to the platform."

"Oh, well, that's simple enough. All you have to do is go through the wall between platforms nine and ten. Best if you do it at a bit of a run. Watch Percy here, he'll demonstrate for you."

"Wish he would run into an actual brick wall," Victoria muttered under her breath, and Harry coughed to cover up his laugh.

"Victoria!"

"Well, you can't exactly blame me, Mum! The only thing that he's done all summer is go on and on about how he became a bloody prefect!"

"Victoria, you need to watch your language, young lady."

Victoria sighed. "Okay, okay."

"Now, after Ron goes, then you can go, and then Harry can follow you to make sure that he gets it down."

Victoria gripped the handles of her cart, waiting until Ron had disappeared into the wall before she broke into a run. She couldn't help but close her eyes as she ran towards the wall, but then she heard the whistle of a train, and when she opened her eyes, she saw the maroon color of the Hogwarts Express.

People turned and stared at her, although when she looked at them, they quickly looked away from her.

"Why do I get the feeling that this time, it's not me that they're staring at?" Harry said as he appeared beside her.

"Let's just say that my parents weren't the best people, and a lot of people think that I'm going to turn out exactly like them," Victoria responded.

"Well, that's kind of stupid, isn't it?"

Victoria couldn't help but laugh. "I suppose that's one way of putting it, yes. Come on, we better get on the train, I want to get away from the eyes."

"Yeah, you and me both."

Victoria gave Molly a quick hug goodbye before getting on the train. The first compartment that she and Harry went to had a brunette-haired boy in it.

"The Death Eater compartments are down that way." He said to Victoria in a scathing voice.

"Oi, don't talk to her like that!" Harry protested, and Victoria shook her head. "Don't worry about it, Harry. It would probably be best if you and I didn't sit together. I'm sure that Ron would sit with you though. I'm gonna go and find a seat, I'll see you later, okay?" Victoria just didn't want him to be subjected to the bullying that she was sure she was going to get, he would have enough on his plate as it was.

A couple of cars down, Victoria found a compartment that was empty except for a dark-skinned boy.

"Um, is it alright if I sit here?" She asked, and he nodded his head. "I don't see why not." His voice was deeper than Victoria had expected, and there was something dark about him, but she detected a kindness too. He looked to be the same age that she was.

"You seem surprised that I was okay with you sitting here." The boy commented as Victoria sat across from him.

"Well, most people don't seem to like me."

"Because you're a Lestrange, is that it? They think you're a Death Eater in training."

Victoria blinked in surprise at how blunt he was. "Well...yeah, actually."

"Well, you've come to the right car, then. My mother has been suspected of killing all of her husbands, after all. No evidence of course, but the suspicion still stands. The name's Blaise."

"Victoria, although I'm sure that you already knew that."

He chuckled at that. "I can say that it's a pleasure indeed, Victoria."

"You too, Blaise."

The two continued to make small talk until George burst into their compartment. "Hurry up and get your robes on, little sister, we're almost at Hogwarts."
