A hundred centuries had passed since the Twilight of Man, their legacy carried by their bio-engineered descendents who soon conquered the stars and mastered the art of sorcery. When an irresponsible goddess opened a portal into a dimension where the line between magic and technology blurred, she would face the consequence of her blunder.

1. Prologue

Introduction Into The Distant Future

It is the 101th Millennium (100,000 AH). The tales of Mankind long forgotten, only whispered amongst the scattered stars. Though their existence long gone, their legacy continued in the shape of the Faekind, bioengineered descendents. A diverse collective of intelligent lifeforms each contains within them the residual trace of Mankind's genetic code.

It was the Time of Anew, the Second Era of Civilisation to replace the absence of Man. Amongst the billions of stars, civilisation rose and fell. After eons passed, the border between the Realm of the Immaterial and the Realm of the Corporeal wavered.

The Great Ethereal Plane, the domain wherein the very fundamental of the universe; twisted, warped and distorted. Where all sense of logic is absent, in replacement of the metaphysical. Within it lies the foundation of sorcery.

For the mortals who lived in this millennium, the difference between science and magic was nonexistent. For the trillions of beings across billions of worlds, it was a time of mysticism and mechanism. An era of sophisticated technology and advanced thaumaturgy. A moment in history in which the metaphysical blurred with the physical. An age of Science and Sorcery.
