Mmm, rewritten chapter.

I flung open the front door, sprinting across the sun bathed floor. Before I could halt, I accidently threw myself- rather harshly, into the doorframe that led into my room. Shaking off my clumsy dumbfoundedness, I moved forward into my room and locked the door. Hopefully, I'd get some peace and quiet if I just stayed in my room and kept out of trouble. Finally, it was summer break, and I could do whatever I wanted without interruption. I excitedly turned on my console, leapt onto my bed, and grabbed my Xbox controller off my desk. It had taken years to save up my allowance for this and I was going to use it, even if it killed me.

I watched the screen load up, clicking play on Minecraft Story Mode as soon as possible. A cool tide of calm hovered over me, nostalgia embracing me as I listened to the soft melody that always played during the title screen. The little chest with an arrow- how could one miss something so small more than the people that care for you? Apparently, it's rather easy.

However, as the tiny chest did its thing, the game froze. Pixels of many colors dotted across the screen, indicating the console- or the disk, was having some trouble. I sighed, pressing the home button on the controller. Unfortunately, it refused, instead choosing to stay frozen on this screen. I climbed off my bed with a huff, crawling over to the console and holding down the power button. Finally, the console beeped, asserting that it was turning off. The screen darkened, drifting back to sleep. Triumphantly, I powered it back on. The screen was the same. Something was off, and I could tell. I began to feel odd. I thought it was just nerves, but a quick look downward shattered that conclusion.

The first thing I noticed was that my hands didn't look right. Not 'should I phone the police', or 'am I going to be okay', simply that something was definitely wrong. My hands were very pixely, appearing to take the shape of boxes. Startled, I jumped to my feet. At least, I assumed they were my feet. They looked the same as my hands, and that fact terrified me. It was spreading.

My vision plunged into darkness as I blacked out. Soon enough- too soon, my vision cleared once more. Stars shone in the sky, but they weren't normal in the slightest. I might not be the smartest, but I knew within seconds where I was. I was in the game.

"How am I still alive? Am I still alive?!" I shrieked aloud.

-Welcome, Zenna.-

"WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT-" I cut myself off quickly, clearing my throat in attempt to try that over again. In a strong but spooked voice, I called back to the strange force that was speaking to me. "Who are you and how do you know my name," I muttered, attempting to sound braver than I really am.

-You may call me Whisper. It's a fitting name, for I am a mere voice to you.-

I felt very mixed about this situation. You could probably tell if you were there, seeing as my personality flip-flopped several times during this entire event.

"Oh, u-uh, hi?" I said, highly confused. I looked down, seeing a random girl below me. No wait, that was my reflection. Apparently, there was a pond right beside where I had ended up. The whole universe hopping crap I had just done must have done something to me. Now, I had brown hair with green tips and green eyes that glistened like emeralds. Last I checked, that's definitely not what I looked like.

"That's… Not what I was expecting." I turned away from the pond, looking for something- anything to do to increase my chance of survival.

All of a sudden, pain rushed to my head. "I- What is that, and why now of all times?!"

-Those are memories. You're in this world now- it has to adjust to having you here, and you have to adjust as well. You see, the world is creating you a backstory- something to base your newfound life off of. This will make it much easier for you to create a reputation, and will increase your survival chances. You see, any strengths you got from your supposed 'backstory' will be given to you for free-"

"Wow, you talk a lot."

-And you're rude.-

I laid down under a tree, staring up at the night sky. How peaceful it was, with the cool breeze and the dim lights of the moon and stars. Not long after, I drifted to sleep.

In the morning, I woke up next to an iron sword.

'Whisper must have given me it…'

I stood up and stared into the pond. My outfit consisted of a simple short sleeved shirt and a skirt that went to my knees. I looked down at my feet to find black Flip Flops.

'Not the greatest, but I'll make do.'

-Ahem, you might want to look over there. Jesse is already coming over here. Right now.-

"What?" I gasped and turned to see Jesse, Olivia, and Axel around ten blocks away.

"I heard a pretty juicy rumor about the Building Competition, but you guys have to promise not to- Um…" Axel silenced immediately once he noticed me standing there staring at them.

'Oh crap, they found me.'

"Who are you?" Asked a very confused Axel.

'What am I going to do?!'

-Just tell them your name already! You're making yourself look suspicious!-

"I'm Zenna," I said finally, trying to sound casual and not at all succeeding.

Luckily, the characters were still too oblivious this early into the game to even notice. It didn't take long for Jesse to get bored of simply standing around. He walked up to me with a smile, folding his arms with dork-ish pride before talking.

"Hi, Zenna! I'm Jesse, this is Olivia…" He gestured to Olivia, who also appeared severely confused. "And this is-"

Before Jesse could continue, Axel cut him off, asking a question instead of answering one.

"What are you doing in the middle of the woods?" Axel questioned, facial expression bursting with confusion and curiosity. "Umm…I was just…" I began.

All of a sudden, the pain in my head cleared. Instead, my brain filled with images of running through the woods, frantically searching for something.

-And, like I Told you, they are memories.-

'Shh, Not now, I need to focus!'

"...Are You okay?" Asked Jesse, staring at me curiously.

"I'm okay. I was just…"

I quickly searched the 'memories' for an alibi. Unfortunately, all I could piece together was that I was looking for something, and could not find it.

"I went into the woods and got lost" I stated, hoping that was a decent enough answer.

"You can come with us, if you want," He began. "Maybe you'll find your way back?"

I simply nodded. Jesse smiled, and he and his group continued walking. I followed them, making sure to keep at a distance.

"As I was saying," Axel continued. "I heard a pretty juicy rumor about the Building Competition, but you guys have to promise not to tell anyone. Also it's in two parts, each part more exciting than the last!"

"Spit it out, Axel," Groaned Jesse.

"Part one, the special guest at this year's Endercon is none other than Gabriel the Warrior him freaking self!"

"Whoa, What's part two?!"

"Part two, according to my sources, the winner of the Building Competition's gonna get to meet him!" Axel shouted.

"Who exactly are these 'sources'" I asked, despite the fact I already knew the answer.

"Uhh.. No one. These guys are my only friends..." Axel said sheepishly, gesturing to the other three.

"So, what are you guys gonna build?"

"We're going to build a fireworks machine," Olivia explained, pride and excitement written on her face.

"Wait a minute, wait a minute. We're thinking about this all wrong! The point of the Building competition isn't just to build something. You have to do something to get noticed by the judges." Jesse told the group.

After Olivia and Axel gave their opinions, I simply said, "It'd be really cool if you guys build a wither in front of it."

Surprisingly, Jesse agreed. It was most likely because then he wouldn't have to pick sides. Yet.

"I think this is the first time we've decided on something before getting to the competition! So, you think we've got enough?" Olivia asked Jesse.

"It wouldn't hurt to grab a little more." Jesse replied.

"Let's get to grabbing, then!" Axel shouted.

"We're so prepared we can't lose!" Olivia gushed.

After a few minutes of the others standing in a circle with their hands out, looking like they were doing some sort of ritual while trying to decide what to say, they shouted 'team'. Finally, they headed off to gather supplies.

While the others were gathering up a storm, I simply started to punch a tree. Of course, I failed to break it, because I'm just that great. Jesse wrangled a squid, only to lose his breath and have to retreat. Finally, after many failed attempts, me and Jesse finally broke through our respective trees. Which is too bad, since I was enjoying watching Reuben coach Jesse.

I simply just went back to punching trees. I mean, what else could I do? Eventually, I gave the wood I gathered to Jesse, then walked over to the original spot I was standing at during the hand pile. Axel, Olivia, Reuben, and Jesse met back at the original spot and did the hand pile all over again. This time, they did it properly. After that, they jumped up and punched the air dramatically.

Finally, they arrived at the building competition and met up with Lucas and his idiot teammates. When they got to the front of the line, a lady asked for their name. Axel, who didn't get the point, said his actual name.

I looked over to Jesse and said, "What about 'The New Order?'"

It was stupid, yes, but I asked anway. Figuring that they would be the new Order of the stone, I thought it would be perfect. Jesse took the idea, surprisingly, and put it into action.

We walked in, blessed to hear Aiden say, "Endercon doesn't allow outside food or drinks."

Of course, this ticked me off. Immediately, Aiden turned back to his group, seemingly startled by something. Of course, I did not know what it was, but the fact that he was scared made me feel quite unsettled.

Yes, I am rewritting this instead of doing the crossover I'm supposed to be working on. Yes, I did start the next chapter of the crossover. No, it is not getting finished today as far as I know of. It's hard to figure out how to write the characters, and whatever I do basically determines how the crossover might permanently be forevermore unless I decide to rewrite it (which I doubt) or Legend changes her end of it, thus slightly differentiating our versions of the crossover and making it harder for us to keep them similar.

Long story short, writing is hard. So to get my mind off of it, I'm going to write more.

'That makes no sense.'

I am aware. Anyway, bye!

'Bye!'
