So, this is my first attempt at a surface level crossover between two series I really like. I have done a big Miraculous oneshot collection in the past but alas it is on indefinite hiatus due to personal issues I had with the show towards the end of season 3 that I won't go into. For the purposes of the Miraculous timeline though, the events of the prologue, the only events set during Miraculous, occur during season 3 before the Kwamibuster episode (the episode that basically negated my entire oneshot collection). After the prologue, the rest of the story will be set in the My Hero Academia time period, the prologue explains what happened to set it up. Also, to those who remember my oneshot collection or want to know more, I will be using my own suite of OCs that are called the Guardians of the Elements and have appeared in both that collection and another work. They have been tweaked slightly to work with this and certain things aren't going to be the same as other works, but they are going to be around and appearing and their lore will be explained more in the next chapter, as well as on other occasions, but they are more to help set this whole thing up once the main story starts around chapter 4 they will not be appearing much though one will be a recurring character for various reasons. As for other OCs, I have a rigid set of rules for allowing them that I will clarify at the start of the next chapter, but I can approve of them if the rules are met so PM me about suggestions and we can see what works but I do defer to canon whenever possible so bear that in mind. That is all I really have for now I think but do feel free to ask questions in reviews or PMs, I will do my best to answer them and provide clarity in notes going forward but for now sit back and enjoy the prologue to Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Prologue

The man walked purposely at a brisk pace along the banks of the Seine in Paris heading to a place he knew well but hadn't visited in years. He'd had no reason to visit it until this moment after all. He knew the man there, trusted him as his representative and one of the protectors of his creations, a series of gifts he'd given to humanity that only his power could create. They were tied to his very essence so when the original two, and as such most important, ones suddenly vanished without a trace he was not happy.

He didn't blame his representative. The man had chosen the holders well. No, this was to inform him of the colossal shitshow that was about to befall him when he learned what had happened.

It had taken a while to find out what had happened to them and required calling in a few favors while granting others to deities that he didn't like to get the answer. The answer wasn't pretty but there was little that he could do about it. His power was great but limited to a specific area and not even his master had the power to retrieve them given where they'd ended up and that was saying something.

Despite the chill of the mid-February weather, the man wore a simple pair of blue jeans and a lilac-colored t-shirt. Around his neck was a hooded cloak in the same color as his shirt fastened with an ornate silver clip that looked like a pair of burning torches crossed over a blazing sun. The hood of the cloak was pulled up hiding his brown hair and eyes in its deep cowl. The only sign that he was ready for the cold, though he did not feel it, was the pair of sturdy black boots he wore.

Oddly, the man wore a pair of heavy looking, metal, gauntlets on his forearms and had a knife with a dark wood handle strapped to his belt. Carrying such a knife openly was a clear violation of French law, as were the pair of blades that the gauntlets contained but the man didn't care, he had no need for the laws of mortals that did not concern him. Besides, despite his purposeful stride and striking appearance, even in the dead of night, no one saw him.

The man was an immortal being who commanded the full power of magic as he was the physical embodiment of the element. As such, he could warp and bend reality, within reason, to his will with just a thought.

That was what he was doing as he walked to prevent being seen not that the mortals would be able to see him regardless. The very nature of the magic the man controlled affected mortals' minds making them unable to register it unless the magic wanted them to and right now it didn't. As he reached the massage shop, he ended his cloaking spell just before he walked through the door, without opening it.

It was time to see the man inside so no point in hiding anymore. They had important and serious business to discuss, business that would set in motion things that would take years to come to fruition but were necessary given what had happened. They had to prepare, and that preparation started now.

Master Fu was pacing his shop worried and scared worse than he had ever been before, including when he'd destroyed the Temple over a century ago. His kwami, Wayzz, floated by his head just as worried as he was. How could he not be? His two pupils and the heroes of Paris, Ladybug and Cat Noir, had just vanished. There was no trace of them in the slightest. They were gone and he couldn't contact them, either in their hero form or civilian identities.

It had all seemed so simple at the start. Hawk Moth had suddenly appeared in person to challenge them. Their enemy was present and at last they had a chance to beat him and end his reign of terror over Paris.

They had fought him but before they could win, when they had Hawk Moth beat it seemed after using their powers, he had fused his Miraculous with another, though it hadn't been the Peahen Miraculous, the only other one that was missing, so Master Fu hadn't understood what it was. Then it had gone from bad to worse.

Somehow Hawk Moth had forced the pair to vanish. He'd waved his hand and a portal had opened that sucked them in and then they were gone. Even Hawk Moth hadn't understood what had happened as they didn't return from the portal. It looked like he'd won but he'd also lost the Miraculouses as well, so he fled when it appeared they weren't going to return.

Since then, Master Fu had hoped that his pupils would return but they hadn't. That had been hours ago, and he still he had no answer from them. Usually at least Ladybug was reliable, she'd never been like this since he'd revealed himself to her, so he was extra worried at this point.

"Relax master, they'll be back soon." Wayzz said comfortingly to his friend and human as he paced. "I'm sure of it."

"I don't know Wayzz, I've never seen them take this long to return and there is no trace of either of them in the city." Master Fu said worried. "Nor have I ever seen what just happened. Do you know what Hawk Moth just did?"

"No I don't and the other kwamis won't say." Wayzz said shaking his head. "They're worried though because they know one of their powers has been activated for some reason, but they can't tell which one it is. They have to be back soon though, I'm sure of it."

"No Wayzz, they won't be back soon." A different voice said speaking in ancient Chinese, the language he'd spoken when he'd created the specific Miraculouses in the room right now. "I know what has happened, that is why I took so long to arrive as I had find out. It is bad, very bad."

Wayzz and Master Fu spun in place to see a man dressed in a lilac cloak and hood standing before them having apparently walked in unannounced though the door was closed and neither had heard it open or close. As he raised a pair of gauntleted arms to his hood to lower it, Master Fu fell to a knee and bowed his head before the man while Wayzz also mimicked the gesture while in midair.

"Mage, Guardian of Magic and creator of the Miraculouses, you honor us by your presence." The two said in unison.

"Please, sit, we do not need formalities right now." Mage said waving his hand and a teapot with 3 full cups, one of which was kwami sized, a small table and something for him to sit on appeared out of thin air. "We have much to discuss about what is currently going on."

"You said you know what happened." Master Fu said as he sat down before Mage joined him, noting that tea was his favorite. "What? Where are they?"

"I do and it's not something I've ever seen before." Mage said with a sigh as his cloak just vanished before he sat down and took a sip of tea. "They're gone and they're not coming back, at least not anytime soon."

"What!" Master Fu exclaimed. "What do you mean?"

"The fusion that occurred, the Miraculous that was used, it was the Rabbit Miraculous." Mage said with a sigh. "The only one that can exist both on you and on someone else at the same time. Such is the nature of that pocket watch that I created, a byproduct of the pocket dimension it is tied to."

"Oh that explains it." Wayzz said understanding it now. "Fluff was acting odd, a little out of it but I thought that was just because of the pocket watch being in two places at once. Either me or Sass should have known that the reason was because the Miraculous had been used. Still, isn't the other watch in safe hands?"

"It was but not anymore." Mage said shaking his head. "A few days ago, Hawk Moth somehow found out that the watch that girl Alix has was in fact the Rabbit Miraculous and took it from her. How I do not know but I trust that you will find out and do your best to return it to its rightful owner. What just happened cannot be allowed to happen again."

"We will." Master Fu said with a nod. "But go on. What actually happened?"

"Earlier today, Hawk Moth combined it with his own Miraculous to enhance its power as you know from the battle he had with the heroes of Paris." Mage said. "And when he activated it, he didn't understand the power that he'd created, none of us did as that Miraculous isn't often used in a fusion so its combinations and effects are unknown. Turns out that with the Moth Miraculous it gave him access to the timeline and that is where he sent Ladybug and Cat Noir, or more accurately blasted them out of it."

"The timeline?" Wayzz asked confused.

"The timeline of earth." Mage said holding up his hand and creating a visual representation of a line in the air that appeared to be made of lilac smoke with a starting point at one end and going into the future past him. "Think of this like the timeline. It is linear from the origin of the world we know back when Chaos created it to now. This is what we all exist in, be us gods, Guardians, mortals, kwamis, and so much more that live on earth. It cannot be stopped, and it is always going forward."

"I know what a timeline is but what does it have to do with what happened today?" Wayzz asked frustrated. "You said they were blasted out of it, that I don't get."

"I'm getting to that." Mage said with understanding in his voice at Wayzz's frustration. "Basically, it takes extreme power to break and even more to mess with it in the past. There are very few items that can do that and for good reason as we shouldn't be messing with time."

"True, if it was easy it would be chaos." Master Fu said with a nod. "Beyond even what your order can deal with Mage."

"Correct and that is why it is one of the few laws of the world that is almost impossible to break." Mage said. "There are many ways, especially with my element of Magic, to view the past with ease and even get glimpses of the future though those are hazy at best and depending on the source have different degrees of accuracy. Actually entering it and as such traveling through time is next to impossible."

"But there are ways." Master Fu pointed out. "The Rabbit Miraculous is one such way."

"Yes it is." Mage said heavily. "Probably one of the most powerful I ever made after the original 2 if I am being honest. It takes great effort to make a Miraculous and requires me to fully become one with Magic to find the kwami I need and create the item that ties it to the earth and gives it a physical form. Fluff was hard, the hardest since the original two which had to be made at the same time due to their nature. I created an item capable of time travel which means it can potentially change the future or the past."

"I know, it is why the Miraculous is always in at least two places at once." Master Fu said. "But surely we can just use it to find them and bring them back from that point."

"That is the problem." Mage said with a wince. "It seems that when fused with the Moth Miraculous, it allows the holder to pinpoint you in time. I had to reach out to multiple deities that cover time, we don't have a Guardian of Time for various reasons, and they all said the same thing. Ladybug and Cat Noir are stuck where they are. I even had the Master Guardian check to confirm it."

"Wait, I'm still confused." Wayzz said rubbing his head. "Surely we can get Alix to use the Rabbit Miraculous to go get them from that point. The pocket dimension Fluff can create will allow it."

"It would and that was the initial plan, but the Master Guardian found out where they were, at least physically." Mage said. "And when he learned where they were we realized that Fluff's power won't retrieve them. Its complicated and while Burrow can be used to view possible futures and to send someone in the past to prevent it, it can't work on its own power. Basically, when I created it I made a series of checks on it and one such check is that it can't correct its own used. That's also why we can't go back in time to prevent it from happening."

"Huh?" Wayzz asked rubbing his head. "Now I am really confused."

"Trust me so am I as this has never happened before." Mage said. "But we can't go get them from the future or go into the past to stop it from happening as the act was committed by Fluff's power itself. I also don't think we can just send them back when they reappear, at least that's what it seems like according to those who govern the laws of time. They explained it all to the Master Guardian and he passed it on to me before he had to rest."

"It took that much out of a being like him?" Master Fu said amazed. "What did he learn?"

"They are out of the timeline and unreachable by any known means." Mage said explaining what he'd learned. "The Master Guardian used a large amount of power, more than I've seen him use in a long time, to find out what had happened and learn the truth. He'll be recovering for a year at least, if not longer, but he got the answer and told me so that I can tell you. Ladybug and Cat Noir are in stasis and no power can correct this."

"Stasis?" Wayzz asked still very confused. "What is that?"

"They are literally frozen in some place alongside the timeline." Mage said. "When we don't know but we do know that it is sometime in the future. If they were blasted into the past they would have been returned to the timeline and we could have gotten them as they would be out of place, but the future is a problem. The laws of time are different that way."

"That seems to be the word of the day." Master Fu said with a sigh. "So what? Do we just wait for time to catch up to them or something?"

"That's exactly what we do." Mage said shocking them. "We don't know when in the future they are and likely won't until a year or so before they set to return but we are monitoring them. I've already reached out to the fixer who is associated with the Guardians, and he's received the same information I have received and is already beginning to plan. The Master Guardian will help when he recovers as well. I am here to tell you what happened and tell you that we must begin our own plan for the immediate future, the one we actually have to deal with right now."

"For how to deal with this new development." Master Fu said realizing. "Yes that is needed. It is hard to accept but I know better than to question the Guardians when it comes to this stuff. So what will we do?"

"Well first." Mage said waving his hand over Master Fu who blinked and felt himself suddenly become alert. "I have to cast a spell to make you stay awake and at peak condition. This will take a while and I need you fully alert. Alright this is what I have so far…"

229 years later – Washington DC

The man who walked down through the February chill this time was not the same as the one who had strode so purposefully a little more than 2 centuries prior in Paris, but he was associated with the man. He was in a different city and the world was very different to what it had been back then, but he had finally determined that the events of that fateful day when the Guardian of Magic informed the then Miraculous Grand Guardian of the Chinese Box of the disappearance of his two chosen holders were about to come to pass.

The man walked along the National Mall towards the Lincoln memorial as the snow fell around him. He had just gotten off work, his cover job at least for his American identity, and was still in a cheap black suit with a white shirt and long black trench coat that hid his many weapons, including a pair of dual swords that were his main weapon. Course those wouldn't be seen by the mortals for the man was not one of them.

Yes, he worked with them, but that was his job. He was the liaison between the Guardians and the mortal world, the man in the shadows who manipulated the political world for the Guardians to ensure that things were as smooth as possible. He was the fixer who made sure that everything was in order and going according to plan.

Though he himself wasn't a Guardian, this was the man's element, and he was a master of it as he conducted the political world like an orchestra and yet no one knew his name. Then again, how many people knew a run of the mill member of staff to the Chief of Staff to the US President after all, especially when there was such a high turnover to the position.

His job for the Guardians was one of the utmost importance given how the world had changed since the infamous events that occurred in Paris almost 23 decades prior which had led to the Master Guardian granting the man an additional power. It wasn't a full guardianship, he would have refused it as he did not wish to be one, but it was the ability to dip into the power of time. It was tied to the missing Miraculous Holders, but it came in use in other pursuits related to the man's jobs and the precognition served as part of what his Quirk was believed to be.

To get by in the current society as he was he needed to be able to have something that served as a Quirk to avoid suspicion. That was because of what had happened 212 years prior. A glowing baby had been born in China and after tests were conducted it was determined to be a superpower that was a genetic mutation. As time went on more and more people were born with what were first called Meta Abilities but became to be known as Quirks later on to the point that about 80% of the world possessed one and as such they dictated society.

Course with such power came the negative aspects of human nature and for over a century there was chaos that stunted human development before the rise of heroes. The man currently strolling along the reflecting pool had been one of the key whisperers in creating the super hero society the world enjoyed. It was the Americans who took to the super hero idea when it was first codified in Rhode Island, and it had stuck.

These days America was second only to Japan in terms of stability and hero ethics but that was due to the Symbol of Peace in Japan who had made it as such thanks to his own nature and the powerful Quirk that he'd inherited. The Guardians had done their best to steer the world and avoid chaos as was their mandate, but it was mainly up to the humans, especially the few who knew about them, to do it as this whole Quirk phenomenon was an entirely human thing.

Despite the best efforts, the Guardians had never been able to find out how Quirks began. With them the belief and knowledge of many of the old gods had almost died leaving all but a few in a catatonic state. Only the Guardians were wholly unaffected as they were not part of the pantheons, they were their own entity outside them. However even with their power they couldn't answer the Quirk question so they'd used it to hide in plain sight and keep the world from true chaos as best they could within their restrictions.

Now they had a chance to truly aid in their goals to prevent chaos. Fate, one of the few deities unaffected by the change in society, was a cunning bitch. She'd somehow ensured that the point in the timeline that the two heroes of yesteryear, so old that they were now nothing but legends with many old records lost during the Quirk Wars of the last first century since the advent, would materialize soon.

Not only that but they would do so in the right place a few months before the right time to be useful to them. All the man had to do was report in what he knew, he'd already spent part of the last 229 years putting the rest in place so that all they had to do was tweak a few things to ensure a smooth transition.

That was what was going through his mind as he climbed the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and entered the temple where the 16th President of the United States was still honored. Right now, it was closed to the public due to cleaning and repairs following a villain attack that morning, but the man knew that it was an illusion conjured by Mage, the Guardian of Magic, so that they could have this meeting.

He'd sent the Guardian who was on point for this mission as it had been his creations that had caused this situation his update and this meeting had been called at once. That was why the man who was known to the Guardians as Demos strolled into the memorial and knew what he would find waiting for him there.

"Demos been a while." A British accented voice said as the man emerged from the shadows. "You said it was almost time, there is only one thing that you would report to me about, so I do hope we are at last nearing that point in the timeline. It has been longer than I expected but still a blink in the eye of immortals like us."

"Mage, Guardian of Magic, as always an honor to be in your presence." Demos said in an educated, measured accent that was American but unplaceable as he bowed his head and looked at the Guardian before him. "Yes I finally sensed their location which means we are within a year of their arrival. Therefore, as instructed, I reported it immediately."

Mage just nodded as Demos looked at him. The man was not in usual Guardian garb likely due to needing to be in something different for his cover as a global hero. He wore a tailored and finely cut black suit and polished shoes in the latest fashion. His sandy brown hair was cut short and professional though he had a thin layer of stubble on his jaw to give him a slightly rugged look. The only odd thing was the bright lilac dress shirt he wore a testament to his chosen color as a Guardian.

Though even Demos couldn't see because of the Guardian's power obfuscating them, he knew that Mage kept his gauntlets on under his sleeves ready to deploy the blades they contained at a moment's notice. He also would have his Guardian knife on him somewhere, but Demos had no idea where it would be.

"Well." Mage said after a moment of awkward silence between them. "What is the report?"

"You know as well as I do I can't give it without him being here as well." Demos said curtly. "Something like this requires his full knowledge and last I checked I don't report to you."

"No you don't." Mage said with a hard gaze at Demos. "You have always been outside the usual avenues of authority. Not that I like it or the attitude it sometimes gives you."

"Yes but I need him to be like that." A third voice, this one with a bastardized accent that no one could correctly place. "You know as well as anyone Mage that in our order having outside avenues who aren't bound by the restrictions placed upon us as Guardians are essential. We are constrained by the laws laid out by my father when he create me and the other primordial Guardians and tasked us with our eternal mandate. Demos, by contrast, is not so constrained which is what makes him and those who serve him so valuable to our Order."

"Dominus, Master of the Guardians of the Elements." Demos said instantly falling to a knee as the man walked into view from behind the seated statue of Lincoln and bowing his head. "I have the report you have long waited for."

"Rise my friend." Dominus said simply. "We do not need formalities for this meeting, and it is not just I who has been waiting but all of us who have known of this issue. This falls within Mage's element and was because of his creations so it is his responsibility to make amends for what has happened hence why he is the point here."

"I will make sure that I make up for what befell those two." Mage said seriously. "You have my word."

"I know." Dominus said simply. "Demos, the report if you will.

"Of course." Demos said as he rose and looked at the Master Guardian.

The being before him was possibly the most powerful on the planet. Though looking like a man, Dominus was far from it. Even Demos wasn't sure what he was other than an ancient being created near the dawn of time itself. Dominus was the Master Guardian allegedly formed by the creator deity Chaos itself along with the original 4 Guardians from their respective primordial elements to protect the world from falling into pure chaos but maintain the line between order and chaos.

It was Dominus who granted future Guardians their elements when they were granted ascension to Guardianship and who ran their Order. Dominus was the only person Demos truly served other than himself.

The ancient being currently took the form of a lean but muscular man in his mid 30s today. His style and age changed depending on what cover he was using but his general appearance never seemed to do so. The Master Guardian favored red hair, this time medium length and swept back, piercing gray eyes and a short but groomed red beard that was on the borderline of becoming wild. He also wore the same style suit as Mage but with a pitch-black shirt and carrying a skull topped cane that likely hid the short sword he used.

"I take it that you have finally sensed the time approaching for the timeline to catchup to wherever the Miraculous Holders are?" Dominus asked and Demos nodded. "Good, about time. Where and when will we catch up with them?"

"I can't say precisely when only that it will be within a year as was expected given the unique situation they ended up in." Demos said. "Time is fickle as you well know so their precise moment won't be known until maybe a week before, if that as for all I know we won't know until they appear. However, I have found where they will appear."

"And?" Mage asked impatiently. "It has been too long without them and the powers they hold. The world has changed but they are true heroes who can serve it now in ways they could never have imagined back then. I will have to make the necessary changes, it is the least I owe them, but I need to be there for when they reappear. Their kwamis know me so I can reassure them though their secret identities will be revealed almost instantly, not that that matters anymore."

"That's the thing." Demos said. "Fate's been her usual self and is fucking with us because she wants to. They're not going to appear in Paris as we expected, they're going to appear in Tokyo. Dominus, you will be needed to ensure they can read and speak the language and all that when the time comes."

"I should have known that that old hag would have a part in this, she just loves that there's shit we can do about her and flaunts it." Dominus said with a sigh. "Thankfully she does have some sense of propriety as that is the perfect place for them and we are within the perfect time frame. All Might is looking for a successor and our seer there has identified the two likely candidates though my gut tells me it's the one without a Quirk, something about the kid seems destined for that power. He'd also be the same age as them so it would fit."

"Yes it is more than a coincidence which means that I'm going to have to get Vina to send Fate her favorite for this, that's not going to be fun." Mage said with a sigh before continuing in a serious tone. "We will have to go to Japan to sort this out. Our branch there isn't run by a Guardian because the nation is so stable, but it has had one in the past just in case. I will begin the transition required for me to take it over while leaving my job in Paris that has been part of this plan. It will also allow me to keep an eye on them. Demos, what is your position there?"

"My consciousness in that country is as one of the assistants to the American Liaison to their Hero Commission." Demos said with a grin. "Perfect for this job. I knew that that position would come in handy one day."

"That it is." Dominus said with a nod. "Make sure that that is your second strongest consciousness after today to allow you to pinpoint them when they arrive. Mage, you are right in what you have to do but first contact the current Miraculous Grand Guardian of the Chinese Box and get him to Japan so that the other kwamis are around. I will go there as well in the coming days to discuss this with All Might and Nezu and let them know the full story. Only those who are in the know of One for All know about the true nature of our agency. They will all need to be informed of what is to come."

"Master, you have a plan?" Mage asked. "I know we've been planning this since the moment they were blasted into the timeline and adapted it as society adapted but that was up to the point they arrived. We couldn't pinpoint a location until today, so we never had a plan for when they actually returned."

"The beginnings of one yes, it's one of the many contingencies Demos came up with that can be tailored for this." Dominus said thoughtfully. "Over the coming weeks the three of us along with those in the know in Japan will discuss this further and make sure everything is in motion. Fortunately, Demos's forethought on this issue has allowed us to prepare back stories, family histories, and explanations for when they arrive. All that will be left is for me to make the necessary changes between now and when they arrive, if they decide to help us that is."

"It will be a shock and confusing for them but I know that they will." Mage said reassuringly. "They were chosen to wield the two most powerful Miraculouses for a reason, they have the hearts of true heroes. Once they adjust they will do what they know is right. We have the time to prepare for that moment."

"I trust your judgement on this Mage." Dominus said as he looked out of the memorial and at the Washington Monument. "Because Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste are about to be thrown into a world they were never meant to be in but one that will need them more than they know. The darkness is coming, that I know, and we will need all the allies we can get to avoid falling into chaos."

So, this is how I am doing the crossover for these stories. When dealing with a crossover that is on earth but at two distinct time periods there are two ways I feel that it can be done, the multiverse theory or using time travel. Here I haven't exactly used time travel but the concept of it to get the miraculous duo into the future. I know that I have taken a great deal of liberties and closed off how they can return but I had to for the sake of the story so bear with me on that front, plus I don't want to overpower certain items if that makes sense. I've also taken liberties with Miraculous lore and put in my Guardians to it, along with concepts of all ancient pantheons being real and alive though with the advent of Quirks many are irrelevant now. This is how I felt it was best to make this crossover possible and I hope this works as we go forward, and the real story starts with Chapter 1 and the return of Marinette and Adrien to the timeline. As y'all probably guessed, the one OC who will feature in a semi-regular recurring role is Mage because of his relationship with the Miraculouses in my story though more on that will be addressed in the next chapter. Other Guardians, including Dominus, will feature in it but sporadically, this is just unique in that Dominus appears right at the start. That is all I think I have here for y'all right now but if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Until next week.
