The Dragon Balls have always been the crutch when it comes to fixing almost all of everyone's problems and granting wishes that they desire. Although they are sometimes hard to find, these mystical orbs had the capability of granting the wishes, but they weren't perfect as Kami, the Guardian of Earth, had told. Just when things looked to have come around after ten years, something unexplainable occurred.
The Earth's Dragon Balls are no more.
But everyone who knew of the Dragon Balls' existence didn't dwell on it for too long, as new Dragons Balls are found in an ancient cavern. The new set of Dragon Balls is on a pedestal inside the cavern. Although the cavern's existence is long forgotten, the thought of a new set of Dragon Balls sitting around in that cavern for an unknown amount of time is almost unreal to them. What are these Dragon Balls? How powerful are they? And who created them?
These are what they called "The Black Star Dragon Balls."
Everyone gathered at Kami's Lookout to learn more about the Black Star Dragon Balls. Tensity was at an all-time high for Goku and Vegeta's families, and Piccolo was the tensest of everyone else, along with Popo and Dende. The tension in everyone's bodies was so great that a mere slight movement could cause your bones to crack. Most of everyone will only blink if a long period of silence is upon them. The descendants of Goku and Vegeta's families, like Pan and Bulla, were scared beyond belief.
"So, to recap everything we know, we don't know how long the Black Star Dragon Balls existed, right?" Krillin asked calmly.
"Right," Android 17 replied.
"And no one knows who created them?" Krillin asked again.
"Exactly, Krillin," Android 18 replied as well.
"As terrified as I am, I can't help but wonder what type of Dragon summoned from those orbs. If anything, it might be an even bigger Shenron for all we know. As for the wishes, we don't know if there is a limit to this Dragon's wishes or if there is no limit. They're not huge like the Namekian Dragon Balls, and the Black-Star Dragon Balls are only as big as the ones we knew the most." Piccolo looked at the set, feeling tenser than from far away.
"What do you think we should do, dad?" Gohan asked Goku.
"Well, even if I don't like our situation, there's only one way to find out: Summon the Dragon," Goku replied calmly but sternly.
Everyone whispered to each other whether to agree with Goku or not.
"Kakarot, we don't know if we can summon the dragon the same way Shenron could," Vegeta replied to Goku.
"If anything, the dragon might attack us for all we know." Chi-Chi shivered in fear.
"It's okay, Chi-Chi..." Bulma soothes her long-time friend.
Bulma hugs Chi-Chi, calming her down as much as possible. Goku and Vegeta looked at the sight of their wives trying to calm each other down. The two Saiyans rode with guilt that's barely rememberable to them but understandable due to their situation. Mai, Trunk's girlfriend, huddled beside his boyfriend as Piccolo readied himself to summon the Dragon. Everyone's bodies got intense quickly as Piccolo raised his arms.
"ARISE, DRAGON!" Piccolo called out.
After a moment of silence, the Black-Star Dragon Balls started glowing, causing everyone to huddle in fear. Pan and Bulla, in particular, huddled beside their mothers as the Dragon Balls glowed brighter and brighter. Goten would hug her niece, while Trunks would hug her little sister in case they both freak out. And then, when the Black Star Dragon Balls were at the brightest, a massive magic pillar shot into the sky, causing everyone to yell out in horror.
The magic surrounds the planet as it forms into a dragon. Lightning cracks the sky, blinding and deafening everyone. And to everyone's horror, the magic dragon is formed precisely like how Shenron is formed. Only this time, the Dragon is so massive it could wrap itself around the Earth twice. When the light settles, everyone looks into the sky to see the Dragon's entire appearance.
The Dragon has blood-red skin, golden horns, and whiskers on its lower jaw, unlike Shenron's upper jaw. Its golden eyes gleam about as the Dragon looks down upon the people that summoned it.
"I am Ultimate Shenron... State your wishes, and I'll grant what you desire..." The Dragon revealed its name and intentions in a demonic voice.
"Ultimate Shenron...?!" Goku whispered in horror.
"How the hell...?!" Vegeta had the same reaction as his rival.
Everyone remained silent as Piccolo was the only one to step up to Ultimate Shenron's presence.
"Ultimate Shenron! We have come to summon you because we discovered your existence not too long ago! Who created you?! How many wishes can your grant?! And what do you know about the Shenron we knew?!" Piccolo called out to the Dragon.
"Your Shenron was a mere plaything compared to the wishes I can grant. Unlike him, I don't turn to stone and die out. Also, unlike him, I don't scatter when my purpose is fulfilled by the people I grant wishes to. I stay right in place and can only be summoned again for six months. I never knew who my creator was. As for the wishes I grant, I can grant as any amount as they wish me to, including all types of wishes, like killing someone, as long as my creator's power doesn't get eclipsed by the person I wish away..." Ultimate Shenron explains how his power differs from regular Shenron.
"That's insane..." Trunks and Goten whispered in sync.
"That sounds a lot like Super Shenron," Goku remarked to Vegeta.
"Exactly, except Ultimate Shenron's wishes are only limited to his creator's power." Vegeta nodded his head.
"Now... How many wishes do you want me to grant? Unless you only summoned me to tell you about my history..." Ultimate Shenron chuckled with sadism at everyone's fear.
"We only wanted to know who you are! That's all..." Piccolo replied to the Dragon.
"Very well then... But remember, I can only be summoned again for six months. And even still, that'll give you plenty of time to think twice about summoning me again!" Ultimate Shenron's demonic voice echoed throughout the planet.
Everyone screamed and covered their ears in terror. Ultimate Shenron laughed sadistically as his physical form dissolved into an explosion of magic that blinds and deafened everyone on the lookout. After a few moments of pure chaos, the light dissipated, and the Black Star Dragon Balls stopped glowing. Everyone looked at each other with pure shock at what just went down. Everyone would take a moment to themselves and process what they learned about Ultimate Shenron.
Is this their new Dragon? Will they have to rely on Ultimate Shenron from now on? Can they even trust the new Dragon?
Unfortunately for everyone, only time will know...
