Hi! Here I am, once again. This is my first English story and I have to be honest – I wrote this in Spanish first. It is already uploaded and finished on my profile if you want to read it.
Okey, I'll let you get to it.
All the characters belongs to S. Meyer and the story is completely mine!
Prologue
Daily I walk through the high school parking lot. I get out of my truck, nod, greet and nothing more. People around me are still overly excited about the start of a new school year even though it started two weeks ago already. It's my second year. I should be excited too; however, I can't feel any of that in my body.
Alice Brandon intercepts me as I walk into my first class of the day. She is short, dark-haired, and a little too enthusiastic for my taste. I smile at her as she starts to babble about her weekend. The good thing about people like Alice is that they never expect effusiveness in return for theirs.
When I'm sitting down, she calls out a name. Now I pay attention to what she's telling me.
Edward Cullen.
My face doesn't show any of my emotions, but deep down I feel bad for the new guy. It will be everyone's meal at school this year, I can assure you. It is common. It also happened when the Hale brothers moved in the fall of eighth grade.
I don't know why that name stirs something in me. That is strange.
In the middle of the day, during lunch time, I meet him for the first time. I sit with the "popular". I've been here since my first day of high school. Despite my poor speaking and conversation skills, people often find me interesting.
I'm sitting at the end of the table, not really paying attention to the talk my friends are having. Instead, my eyes swivel around the cafeteria and, for the first time, they meet with completely unfamiliar green orbs.
I know instantly that this is Edward Cullen.
I smile at him. It's a friendly smile, nothing more. But something feels different.
