Hello, Narnia fans. This is VPVPVP back with a second Narnia story. Now you may find something a bit peculiar with the strange words in the title of this story: 'Efcharίstisis Thόlos'. These words are actually Greek and translate to 'Pleasure Dome' in English (using the rather 'unreliable' Google App Google Translate for I don't know many Greek words myself) and this will become clear as the story progresses. This story is set during the early days of the Golden Age of Narnia when the magical land is finally set free of the devilish White Witch's diamond-ice grasp and her dictatorial, bloodthirsty and brutal rule and the seasons as the Narnians have known them before the Age of Winter finally restored. Thus this story is a few months after the events of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe though the war will be flashbacked occasionally, and before the Horse and His Boy. There will be some new characters appearing, including some Talking Mice which didn't exist before the LWW book as they had been formed by Aslan from the mice that chewed through his binds the White Witch and her cronies used to tie him up during his Sacrifice on the Stone Table. Anyway, without further ado, let's get into the story...
Chapter 1- a prologue and introduction as narrated by Kushanku
Hi, I'm Kushanku the Nekomata; husband of Alexandrite, father of a number of Nekomata including our four oldest children; daughters Aka, Kiiro and Midori and son Ao; and one of the litter of four siblings and kits of my father Ferntail and mother Frosty who saved us when Thundersparx the Raiju's father, Lightningflash, betrayed them and the other hiding Aslan believers they had gathered to the White Witch just under a quarter into the Devil Woman's blood-stained reign of our land, Narnia, which lasted for 100 years and is now known as the Age of Winter. My brothers were named Nyarth and Satoshi and my sister was named Ryn. As you will remember in the previous story, I helped play a significant role in the Exodus of countless Narnians of various creatures, both Magical and Regular, to the mountains of Archenland where most of us stayed until the Dawn of Spring and the coming of the Great Lion Aslan, though a large number of other Narnians chose to ride out the rest of the Eternal Winter until then, but they had been severely trapped by the White Witch who had reinforced her rule that no-one EVER leaves the winter-stricken country since the Exodus. That was over sixty Narnian years ago now and only recently, we had taken back our lands from the cruel, blood-soaked hands of the Witch and her cronies with the help of the Great Lion but, as with the Exodus event, it had taken a LOT of heart-wrenching sacrifices, especially in regards to one of the two Sons of Adam who was destined to sit as a king on one of the four thrones of Cair Paravel as predicted by the Golden Age Prophecy; Edmund. When we heard that he had fallen for the Witch's charms and betrayed us including his three siblings, Peter, Susan and Lucy, a lot of us including as myself, Alexandrite and those that had been on the Witch's side and had survived to the Dawn of Spring thanks to their species' ability to live a long time, such as Dionaea the Manticore and Ahhuayo the Ahuizotl (who had been WELL on in his years, a little more than a hundred years old) thought the worst of it but thank Aslan he had been rescued in time, including from death on the dreaded Stone Table in which Aslan took his place.
We had then fought a VERY brutal battle against the Witch and her cronies which eventually culminated in Aslan, who had resurrected from his death on the Table at the hands of the Witch and her cronies, slaying that Devil Woman and Snow Serpent once and for all as no-one, not even the nine-tailed oldest children of Gandalf and Kyukon who had managed to reach the extremely noble life stage of the Kitsune species, or even the Son of Adam Peter who bravely took her on one-on-one after she had mortally wounded Edmund after he had destroyed her wand, was powerful enough to overcome her (I absolutely admire these two Sons of Adams' bravery for confronting that Snow Monster). As for the Witch's equally wicked nine-tailed Fox and Nogitsune sidekick, Amanita, who had been the Witch's cruel second-in-command the entire time since the Exodus to Archenland 60-plus years ago, she had been disposed of by Kyukon, the mother of all the Kitsune species including the corrupted Nogitsune (Kitsune who took to the Witch's side, along with a number of other Narnia species including Nekomata, Bakeneko, Fauns and some Regular Talking Beasts like Vultures, Wolves and the warrior bird species, the Terror Birds which was a BIG insult to the rest of their kind who viewed fear and cowardice as selfish, foolish and self-centered) and mate of the late Gandalf who had died during the Eternal Winter, having sacrificed himself to save our migration to Archenland 60 years prior by confronting the Witch as well. However, after running that fake nine-tailed Fox through with a spear for using her foxfire was too risky due to so many allies scattered around us on the battlefield and the risk of accidentally killing them if she used it (and foxfire IS EXTREMELY powerful in Nine-tailed Foxes, capable of charring anyone it hits into blackened carcases in an instant), this Kitsune soon joined her mate in a sudden death. That death was caused by overwhelming shock of seeing what Jadis had donned; the golden hairs forming Aslan's mighty mane. I assumed that shortly after her triumph over Aslan's death (some of us had presumed that she and her cronies had forcibly sheared off Aslan's Mighty Mane before his Sacrifice, but I hadn't been there to witness it that night unlike Susan and Lucy, the sisters of Peter and Edmund), she must have taken the Mighty Lion Above All Lions' Mane hairs and donned them herself, but believe me, when I and my allies who got a glimpse of what was around Jadis' neck, including one of my daughters Midori, one of my nieces Merida, and Nyaonix, the Bakeneko mate of my sister Ryn and thus my brother-in-law who had also been on the Witch's side before defecting, had been stricken with an offense I cannot describe... flabbergast and nauseating would be an understatement, but sadly, Kyukon had died on the spot after seeing that unfathomably offensive gesture Jadis had shortly after she caused Amanita's demise. It was indeed a sad loss for us; especially the Kitsune descendants and she had since been laid to rest in a special grave nest to a headstone we had built for her mate Gandalf, his body having never been found since we left for Archenland. But now that the Witch's reign is over and the Golden Age Prophecy had finally come true with the crowning of Peter, Edmund, Lucy and Susan as Kings and Queens of Narnia, it is time to put that terrible time behind us. It is now nothing more than just a time in history and a pack of VERY bad memories for those of us who had been through it.
Now that we have four true, just, fair and honest kings and queens who served with Aslan-given wisdom, fairness and justice on their thrones with Peter as the leading High King, Edmund as his second-in-command and Susan and Lucy as their assistants and thirds-in-command, we now have a better... FAR better that is... time period than the previous hundred years when Narnia was dominated by that bloodthirsty Snow Tyrant as the (unrightful) queen of our lands, resulting in a LOT of us suffering under her wicked rule, such as gruesome deaths in the Massacre Event (which she had decreed to occur once every year as opposed to ten years before the Exodus) and the families and friends of those victims suffering, SEVERE food shortage, FREEZING temperatures and absence of Christmas and other happy and enjoyable times. Since Jadis' death and their defeat in the Battle of Beruna, any of Jadis' cronies who had survived our victory were either slain or had fled elsewhere in disgrace, though there were still a number of these hideous monsters still left but our Kings and Queens of Narnia had plans to deal with them to ensure that ALL traces of evil was removed as much as possible. Plus the White Witch's castle was to be demolished as well. Nonetheless, it is certainly good to see the colours and the greenery of Narnia's seasons me and my generation and the generations after us had only been told by our ancestors who had lived before Jadis' blood-soaked and wintery reign as well as the regularity of the seasons with winter now being more manageable, including Christmas in which Father Christmas and his Christmas Elf assistants would come by and drop presents off for us every year, starting with the beginnings of the Great Thaw when the four prophesied Sons and Daughters of Adam and Eve found their way into Narnia through that wooden box, now revealed to be a wardrobe. We are now living in a happy time period, dubbed the Golden Age, finally free from the worry of possible dictators threatening to plunge our lands into a pit of blackness (or freezing white snow in the White Witch's case), but what can happen?
