"Don't waste your tears on him, okay?" My Dad said as he took me in his arms.
"Hmmm..." was all I said.
"A guy like him is not capable of loving anyone, Bella," he said, "He's not worth it!"
"I thought you liked him," I said.
"Yes, I liked him," he smiled, "But he was a kid at that time. And second, he wasn't a married man, trying to mess around with my daughter at that time."
"It's not just his fault..." I said.
"I'm sure that's what he'd have made you feel," he said.
"No, it's not like that..."
"He was a cool kid when he was young, but people do change, Bella," he said, "I've seen him fooling around with many women."
I sighed.
I thought I was different!
"He doesn't seem to be someone who could really love anyone. He's too ambitious to give a damn about love!" he said, "And you know what? His ambitions were something that had always scared me! He's not something who'd ever be right for you!"
I mean, he wasn't completely wrong.
Edward did marry Tanya just for the sake of his company!
"Dodge that bullet," he smiled, "There're plenty of guys in the world, and... better guys to be precise!"
I wasn't sure about that.
"And remember Bella," he said, "Once a cheater, always a cheater!"
