Note: This story is the sequel to 'The Richelieu Pact'; It is also an alternative version of 'The Cardinal's Red Lily', which I published 2021 as a book. (You can read The Secret Lily without knowing the other stories!) I wondered what would happen if Mademoiselle Charlotte d'Artagnan were the main character of Lily instead of Charles. The result is an adventures love story in two parts and a big question; What if Charlotte suddenly finds herself in the Cardinal's Red Guard? Where nobody knows her secret, where she has no friends to protect her... Where love threatens to become dangerous!

In brackets is the age I imagined for the characters of the plot. Partly based on historical birth dates and partly as it suited me. For example, as you can see, Tréville is not as old as many think; historically seen, he is only 37 or 38 years old in 1635.
