Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about RWBY. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own RWBY; Monty and a few others do.
Velvet crept forward from the wreckage of the Bullhead. She knew well enough that the Beowolves hadn't yet noticed her, but they could have turned into a bloodbath quickly. Her aura flickered brown before she sighed.
She knew her teammates were busy with a mission in Vacuo, all too busy with mopping up the rest of the Crown to investigate the distress signal… And with her as an inclined huntress? She was ready to go…. That? And there were no real Huntresses in the area who could have taken the call… Then the Nevermore came and sent her and her backup to the ground.
She looked at the pack of Beowolves who had milled around and prepared herself for a real fight against them. There had been something… Nightmarish about the monsters, but she couldn't have…
She was interrupted by a stone behind her being crushed as one of the monsters swung their hands at her, forcing her to leap toward them. She kicked one of them back as she debated using her abilities. She knew each weapon could only be used once which almost meant she couldn't use them again if she had used their abilities.
She managed to duck away from the creature as another gripped her, she kicked that one in the face as she looked for advantage came.
The quartet of Beowolves all began to circle the bunny Faunus who had been backed into a bit of a corner. They growled, frothing at the girl who charged forwards, turning and landing an overhead hammer strike at one which sent it skidding down the hill. Another was sent packing with a swift boot to the face.
Then another slashed her across the back, throwing her to the ground as she hopped upwards only for the creature to growl and swat her down. The Beowolf raised her upwards to have a bite of her jugular.
This was greeted by… A beast. That was the only way Velvet could have described it as her Aura shattered. A beast, one which had crept upon them… It looked, unlike a Grimm, unlike anything else.
The beast roared; a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth bared towards the Grimm. It was far taller than than the Beowolves… FAR taller.
The creature rose, piercing blue eyes framing its face as the beast which seemed to have thorny protrusions upon its body gripped the Beowolf and tossed it aside. The others of the pack set upon the beast as Velvet dropped with her aura shattering as she did so.
She looked at it, a hulking wolf-like monster… Sand and some sort of tar seemed to flow from it, the creature's nails a hellish blue that looked more like talons. The creature bit down on the Beowolf, tearing it apart, one of them managed to bite down and thick crimson blood poured from its shoulder.
The beast tore the Beowolf in two lengthwise with a single swipe of its claw, sending dust rolling down the dunes. The last one turned and ran at Velvet who rushed forward, landing a flip kick that sent it falling to the ground.
The beast crushed the Beowolf underfoot, bones snapping like glass as it stared at Velvet who tried to run, knowing she was too hurt… The beast followed, each step of its long trunk-like legs easily matching 3 of hers…. Velvet felt herself roll down the dunes as the monstrous wolf leaped towards her. It easily strode down the down with sand cascading onto its body like snow.
With one move, it snatched her from the ground, Velvet hissed in pain as one of its claws pricked the skin on her hand. The beast raised her to its face and sniffed, a gust of wind blowing over her face before the monster tilted his head.
Velvet was left speechless as it dropped her gently into the sand, pausing only to look at her. It turned its head towards the shattered moon and then sprinted into the desert, leaving the corpses of the Grimm behind as Velvet blinked.
She had no damn idea what that wolf was… But with the fact, it wasn't a Grimm? She was curious as to how was or what it was.

Phew. The first chapter is done! I want to point out I'm going to have to think about how this story will go. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be in 900-6500 words. It will also expand on more of what was going on. The next chapter will also explain the main villain and more of what had happened. Until the 900-6500 words. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
