Surprise! I've had a bit on an unintentional hiatus but The new season's here early. Some of you guys knew this was coming already but If you're new to my work welcome! This season will be a loose sequel to my last fic Total Drama Endless (Which is still wrapping up) but the goal here's for it friendly to new readers! So even if Endless wasn't your style, I recommend sticking around, you might find things a little bit more familiar. I'll give you guys some more details in a moment but for now let's get on with the intro.

..

Total Drama Homespun: Episode One Intro

Once more we open with a spotlight shining on a hallway. The photos of the casts of previous Total Drama seasons line the wall. Somewhere from the darkness an unfamiliar voice begins speaking.

"Total Drama. At this point what's new to say about it? Way, way back in '07 the hottest reality show on television dropped it's first season, it's been a long time, but we're still on top."

The light lingers on a new photo. One of a far more colourful cast than the unceasing parade of teen stereotypes before it.

"A couple months ago good old TD actually had it's fiftieth season. To celebrate, we cracked open Pandora's Box and brought the full expanse of the multiverse to our audience."

At the end of the hall sits a man in a chair, his back to the door. He looks to be at the controls of some kind of spaceship. A vast windshield before him. Outside there's nothing but inky darkness.

"That season was Total Drama Endless, and Endless was a big departure for old TD. Lot of kind of risky moves let's be honest here. So much so it barely felt like the same show any more. Which is lame because everyone knows Total Drama was already perfect."

The man chuckles before continuing.

"…So, the studio was brought in to make a few corrections, starting with fixing the single most massive problem Endless dared to make…not having enough ME!"

The figure swivels around in their chair. The man's a mid thirty something. With wavy black hair, five O'clock shadow and a teal cargo shirt over a white long sleave top.

Chris Mclean the long-time host of Total Drama flashes a million-dollar grin, his dark eyes filled with excitement.

"I'm baaaacck!" He proclaims. "You miss me campers? Whom I kidding of course you did! Let's be real Endless was a decent experiment but Total Drama just isn't Total Drama without yours truly."

He gestures to himself and rises to his feet.

"I've came out of retirement to set this show back on track. And with me at the helm again and now the multiverse at my disposal there's an unending supply of poor helpless victims to torture and humiliate on national TV." He laughs joyously. "That's right! No more lame statue hunts, this season's all about the pain, and I know just the place to go for some wicked challenges."

"CUT!"

Another man runs up to Chris annoyed. He's got sandy orange colour and reaches down to his chin, which is scruffy with a goatee, and wears a blue suit. This is man is Conner O'Gleeson, self proclaimed God of Late Night Television and host of last season.

"Alright let's get this straight: Firstly, you of all people should respect the patented Total Drama Endless Statue Hunts, considering I don't know, they were all about you. Secondly how is me discovering this place and asking if we to a season here and setting everything up count as you 'knowing the place to go'?"

Chris smirks and casts an aside look.

"If you watched Endless, my condolences, but you might also remember Conner. Aka that one guy from last season that had the cohones to try and fill my shoes. I thought I'd be nice and keep him on as a consultant."

"Co-host. We're Co-hosts. That's what the network said." Conner corrects him.

"Yeah. Whatever." Chris says impatiently. "Oh and also Conner's gross henchman Jerry is back."

"His name is Jeremy!"

From the back of the cockpit what looks to be a large pile of veiny bubble-gum with beady eyes and a wide mouth gurgles.

"Don't take it personally sugarbear. Rise above the hate!" Conner calls back to him.

Chris strolls over a third back. A middle aged burly African Canadian.

"Also returning this season, my own personal Jeremy, Chef Hatchet!"

"Don't compare me to the slime monster." Chef grumbles through gritted teeth.

"I hear he's a chef too aren't you Jeremy?"

Jeremy gurgles proudly. Chef gives him a dark look then starts muttering to himself under his breathe.

Chris turns back to the audience.

"Anyway, you're probably wondering what the gimmick is this time around. Simple."

He gestures behind him to the windscreen. In the midst of the all-encompassing darkness of space there's a lone asteroid following in the void. Perched atop the asteroid, nestled amongst sprawling gardens is a little orange house with stucco walls and red shingles on its roof.

"See that? Look's cozy doesn't it. That my dear audience is the Rodney House, and featuring it on the show was one of the incredibly few good idea Conner had last season. It may not look like much, but believe me, there's enough going on in that place to fill an entire season… and that's exactly what I plan to do."

Chris folds his arms and poses with an air of self assuredness all his own.

"I'm your host Chris Mclean and season fifty-one of Total Drama starts right now! This. Is Total. Drama. Homespun!"

"That's really the name we went with?" Chef mutters.

"Oh yeah. It's gonna be disaster." Conner sighs.

Alright let's set some ground rules.

Again if your new here welcome, thank you for clicking on the story and giving it a chance. I hope you'll consider sticking around.

If you've been sticking with me and the series since last season welcome back. This is the beginnings of the fabled Endless sequel I've been hyping up since last year, now known by it's official title; Homespun. If you're up to date with Endless you known that the timeline has officially split, so nothing that happened after the episode 25 finale is canon here. (If you known, you known.) I'm also going to be keeping the Endless spoilers on the down low for anyone that hasn't read it. At least for now. Things will start coming up after the first three-parter.

Now for the thing everyone's really here for: The Cast.

If you're looking to submit, Unfortunately that ship has already sailed. A lot of people have submitted characters already and I've made my pick who's getting in. This is my first season with an open roster and you guys gave me a great cast! I'm very grateful for all the great submissions I got. Believe me they will be going to good use.

We'll be bringing 23 contestants on this new adventure. As of writing eight of them have been revealed over on DeviantArt, so go check those out if you haven't already. Otherwise the first twelve will be revealed here in the next update which will be here within the next few days, followed by the second half in a week or so later. Chapter One is already done and will be out as soon the cast is revealed. Then I'll be going back and forth between this story the Endless Epilogue. I know I lot of authors around here have struggled with juggling two stories at once but there's only six chapters of Endless left to conclude. Once their done things here over on Homespun will be given my full attention.

Finally one last announcement. Because I'm trying to foster more audience engagement this time around for this story I will be following in the footsteps of some of my fellow authors on the page and will be responding to your comments at the start of every episode! It's something I've seen others get a strong response to and I'm keen to try it. Whatever thoughts you guys may have on the story good or bad I'm keen to hear them.

With that all out of the way we're officially ready to get started. Thank you once again to everyone that submitted characters and I'll see you guys over at the first cast reveal.
