Chapter 1 Awakening

Ten year old Malty S Melromarc, the current crowned Princess of Melromarc, was not having a good day, first those useless maids had put too much butter on her pancakes ruining her breakfast, then those incompetent maids had got out the wrong ribbon and when she told them she wanted a different ribbon they started complaining that she had chosen the ribbon herself, after that it was the most boring part of the day her tutoring lessons she mostly tuned those out it wasn't like she needed it or anything she was going to be queen in the future or so she thought because now she had been informed that her mother was pregnant, so not only would she have to share her papa who loved and doted on her but she had likely lost the throne as well even though she's older because she knew her bitch of a mama would likely side with the newborn brat.

She was now storming through the palace gardens with a scowl on her small face ''stupid maids, stupid tutors, stupid mama!'' She huffed, she was so angry she didn't notice a loose panel on garden path which caused her to trip and hit her head on the pavement and that's when everything changed.

The moment her head hit the pavement images started to flash through the young princesses head 'w-what's going on, what's happening' she thought to herself as she saw a girl with long dark hair hug an older man and an older woman, who were obviously the girls parents 'who are these people, they're obviously peasants', she then saw the peasant girl from the last image sat at a table with four other peasants 'oh I loved going to Akihabara, they always had the best stores for- wait what am I thinking?' The image then changed to the peasant girl sat at a desk in front of a some kind of glowing item 'what am I seeing now, wait I've been here before, this is my room and that girl- that girl is me!''

Soon enough the images stopped and Malty was now just steering at the sky as many of the castles servants were now crowded around her asking if she was alright 'I remember everything now, I was a Japanese high school girl who was addicted to anime and manga, I was late and rushing for school and didn't notice the light had changed so I got hit by a truck and I- and I- and I died!'' And with that she fell unconscious.

For the next three days Malty had been in bed with a terrible fever as more and more memories came back, nothing too important just knowledge about anime and manga including one of her favourites 'the Rising of the Shield Hero' but now that she was all better her parents had come to see how she was doing.

''How are you doing, my precious Malty?'' Her father asked concern emanating from his deep voice, he looked strangely familiar, but Malty couldn't figure out why.

''Oh I'm doing much better father, thank you for asking'' Malty answered.

''Oh thank goodness'' her father sighed, before he began to shake and growl ''to think such a thing could happen to you in this castle, don't worry my dear I'm going to gather up all of the garden staff and figure out who's negligence caused you such an injury and I'll have them executed!''

His statement caused Malty to jump in fear and the Queen to sigh ''Aultcray, don't you think that might be a little too extreme?'' She asked.

''M-mother r-r-right father, besides-'' the small quivering voice Malty was using wasn't heard by her father and was actually shouted over by him before she could finish.

''You cannot be serious Mirellia!'' The king shouted ''our daughter was grievously injured to the point where she had to spend days in bed recovering and you asking me if this is too extreme!''

''Hey, do not yell at Mother!'' Malty shouted back, hearing her father yell at her pregnant mother really set a fire under her ''mother is pregnant! You shouldn't yell at a- mothers pregnant! Mother how far along are you!'', she squealed out the last part in excitement, in her last life she had always wanted a younger sibling, particularly a sister but she wouldn't complain if she got a baby brother.

Her mother, Mirellia, looked at Malty oddly in confusion, this wasn't the reaction she had given before, before Malty had just stormed off after hearing about it, so why was she so exited now? ''I'm a month in'' she answered.

Malty pointed for a moment that means she'd have to wait eight more months to meet her new baby brother or sister, but then she remembered the current situation and turned to face her father ''a-anyways, it was my fault father, I wasn't looking where I was going like I should have and because of that I made everyone so worried, so if anyone should be punished it me, I'm sorry please don't punish anyone else for my mistake'' she said bowing her head, only to feel someone patting her, she looked up to see her mother smiling.

''I think being stuck in bed for three days is more than enough punishment, I think this settles the matter Aultcray, now lets give our daughter room to rest'' said the queen.

And with that her mother and father left the room to give Malty some space to rest, it felt weird calling those people mother and father, over three days she had been in bed not only had she been regaining her memories but she had been spending the time morning the family she lost by dying and accepting this new life that was now her's, but she hadn't accepted these people as her family yet, maybe one day but not yet.

'This all seem's familiar but I don't know why, what was fathers name again, Alt something, Altray, no that's not it, Alt- Altray, no… oh Aultcray that's it! It's Aultcray! Wait Aultcray… and mothers name is Mirellia and my name is- my name is- my name is- my name is-'

''MALTY MELROMARC!'' Malty screamed out as she remembered her name 'n-no this can't be can it? No it isn't, I can't isekai in an isekai… right? But its better to be safe than sorry' she looked over to her bookshelf it was full of informative books that mother had bought her but she never bothered to read them seeing them as a waste of time, she didn't now and quickly rushed over to grab a book, an atlas to be more specific.

After an hour of reading she dropped the book and collapsed on her bed, clutching her arms she was rapidly breathing in and out in hysterics, the map looked the same from the one she had briefly seen in the anime, the country all had the same names as ones from the anime and the manga and now she could notice in the upper corner of her vision their was a health bar, a mana bar and some other kind of bar underneath her name which was placed next to a tiara icon, their was no denying it this was isekai world of Rise of the Shield Hero and she was the bitchy princess Malty S Melromarc.

So that's the chapter, sorry I haven't uploaded in a while, I've been doing stuff IRL so sorry for being away, I don't know how frequently I'll upload but I'm uploading again, oh by the way in regards the this chapter I know about the Medea stuff but we're just gonna say that's not a thing with Malty in this story, I'm also aware this is pretty much My Next Life as a Villainesses first chapter but I hope you stick with it.
