Hello everyone, Happy New year to you all. January is coming to an end and most people haven't made it this far but I want all of you out there to go on your knees and give God the praise and Glory for having reached this day still breathing.

I have been working on Second Chance lately but this story kept coming to my mind. This is based on a Philippino series I have been watching. It caught my attention and I thought to give it a try since most boys over flowers are twisted with different ideas or the re-writing of it. Many criticize characters or praise them.

Everyone has different ideas but in this case, we cannot change the fact that the awkward girl Geum Jan Di was suited for this particular part in presenting more than Ga Eul who wasn't awkward at all.

Alright, I want to say hello to every Janhoo shipper out there.

Characters Background.

Geum Jan Di...(Kind, strong-hearted and Caring)

Geum Jan Di, 26 years old. She is an intern in emergency services at the military base. She was originally a swimmer but was involved in a car accident which led to severe shoulder damage. She got inspired to join emergency services by the former president of Korea.

Chu Ga Eul...(Kind and Hopelessly Romantic)

Chu Ga Eul is Geum Jan Di's best friend since childhood. They attended the same school and now she is a teacher who teaches children of the soldiers in the military base. She helps Captain Yoon and her best friend Geum Jan Di to get together. She believes Captain Yoon and Jan Di are a true definition of soulmate and she is willing to help them realize that. She also later falls in love with Song Woo Bin one of Captain Yoon's best friends

Yoon Ji Hoo(Caring, kind, and enjoys music)

Yoon Ji Hoo is known as Captain Yoon at the military base. He was raised by Secretary Park, the most trusted and faithful employee in their family. Ji Hoo was orphaned at the age of five where his parents died in a car accident. Their car was ambushed by the Rebels who originally wanted to kill President Yoon Seok Young.

At the age of 20, Yoon Ji Hoo joined the South Korean armed forces and has been in the military for seven years. His mission is to capture David Pascal; a well-known terrorist leader in the whole of Asia. Ji Hoo is also currently madly in love with Geum Jan Di, an intern of the emergency services.

It was one of those busy unlucky days at the military base. Those days when all the soldiers go out for a mission especially when rebels are attacking the border of South Korea, terrorizing the innocent people.

"Captain Yoon, we are ready to go." One of his law ranking men informed him.

Ji Hoo turned to the map where the terrorists were hiding. It was obtained from the head of intelligence officer Lieutenant Lee his Ex-girlfriend and the daughter of General Lee, the man who taught him everything he knows. General Lee became like a second father to him

Ji Hoo is now 27 years old serving in the military. He has had many achievements throughout his 7years in the military. He started as a service boy who was bullied because of his background. 'The grandson of the former president of Korea.

Ji Hoo lost his family at the age of five in an ambush by the rebels who were causing trouble for the President of South Korea Dr. Yoon Seok Young. President Yoon Seok Young always favored the common people more than the people who had high power but miss used it. President Yoon Seok Young has been in hiding for the last fifteen years since the rebels are out there to get him. He also joined the military as a doctor training interns from emergency services.

Ji Hoo is now a very handsome young man who is a Captain in the military. He was lean with a muscular built body. His facial features were defined...soft yet muscular and were considered the most handsome in the military by women he worked with.

Ji Hoo had made many friends at camp due to his caring and kind nature. He was also often made fun of due to his beauty that attracted many women but one intern from the medical forces had refused to even look at him.

Ji Hoo sat in the van to capture the leader of the terrorist groups in Korea; David Pascal along with the military forces, accompanied by EMT doctors, he was next to Geum Jan Di an EMT intern who had attracted his attention. This was an important mission for him and he didn't want to do any mistakes by getting attracted to this girl opposite him who made his heart beat faster than before.

Geum Jan Di was 26 years old approaching 27. She had long black hair that gave her a unique beauty. She wasn't beautiful as her fellow interns but any man could admire her not because of the beauty outside but her tender expression, the need to care for people, and her kindness.

Before they could arrive at the border, they were ambushed by the terrorist attacks.

Ji Hoo being the leader, did everything he could to protect his comrades especially Geum Jan Di. He led everyone to safety and no one got hurt but he ended up being the one in danger.

Jan Di was the first to notice and ran to his side. "Captain Yoon, you've been short," The first time Jan Di was noticing his facial features. She was studying his face, her lips parted as Ji Hoo leaned forward, his face dropped on her shoulder before he passed out.

"Captain Yoon," the soldiers went to his side, rushing to help carry him back to the car. Backup had arrived to rescue the people. Jan Di was next to Ji Hoo as he held onto her hand asking her not to leave him.

"Don't worry captain Yoon, we're almost there" she was lowering his temperature as their leader of the emergency services was getting his blood pressure and vitals. He was getting in more danger as the bullet hit his chest and chances to survive were low since they couldn't stop the bleeding

Finally, they arrived at the base as he still clung to Jan Di's hand. Dr. Yoon did everything he could to save his life. Jan Di waited for the doctors to save his life. Her heart was still beating fast and she didn't know why.

"Jan Di...I finally found you" her best friend Chu Ga Eul a teacher that was teaching children of the soldiers rushed to her side. She seemed to be tense. She was worried about her friend for the dangerous mission they were going to. "Jan Di-ah, I thought something bad happened to you" she held her best friend in her arms.

"I am fine Ga Eul, but captain Yoon got shot and he is in danger"

Ga Eul gasped at hearing the news. She knew her best friend was secretly in love with the captain but couldn't admit it. It was well known that Captain Yoon had a girlfriend, so she didn't dare express her feelings to the guy even if he had tried to ask her out.

Jan Di began to pace as it was getting late. The surgery took longer. As she paced, Lt. Lee, Captain Yoon's girlfriend came rushing to the O.R with three handsome men behind her.

"Geum Jan Di, what happened to Captain Yoon?" she asked rather rudely. Lt. Lee always hated Jan Di because of the attention Ji Hoo was giving her.

"I don't think she is to be blamed" Woo Bin who was the son of Major in the military spoke. He winked at Geum Jan Di. He had also discovered how his best friend Yoon Ji Hoo was madly in love with the medical intern but the girl kept him in the friend zone.

"Yeah, there was an ambush on their way to capture the rebel forces" the one with curly hair spoke.

Gu Jun Pyo.

She had also met him at his wedding to the renowned taekwondo girl, the heiress of Jk group, Ha Jae Kyung. She had gone there as a guest who was invited by Ji Hoo. He had asked her to be his date and after so much pressure from her best friend, she agreed.

Finally, the bell for the operating room rang and the doors opened. Dr. Yoon came out and Lt. Lee rushed to him. "Dr. Yoon, how is he doing?"

Dr. Yoon gave a heavy sigh. "He will be ok but he is still in danger"

"But he will be completely fine, no complications?" So Yi Jeong asked. Ga Eul and Jan Di stood quietly as Ji Hoo's friends spoke. They felt they were unwanted and decided to leave quietly and headed back to their quarters to rest.

"Thank God he is fine," Ga Eul said to her friend.

Ga Eul and Jan Di were sharing the same room. They sat on their beds in silence pondering on what to do. An idea popped into Ga Eul's mind. She went to her best friend's side. "Jan Di-ah, now you realize how life is so short" she began

"I know Ga Eul, I know what you mean"

Ga Eul smirked at her naïve friend "Since you know, then you should be knowing what to do. Captain Yoon loves you, he brings you flowers, chocolates and all of them are your favorite and you've never rejected them"

Jan Di pondered on her best friend's words. She was right, Jan Di had gone with Ji Hoo on her very first mission to the border of South Korea, Ji Hoo had been bitten by the snake and was almost dying in the jungle alone. Jan Di had found him barely breathing. She had sucked out the poison from his arm and tended to him for three days and nights in the jungle. When Ji Hoo had regained his senses, he was in his tent and the girl who saved his life was nowhere.

When they had returned to camp, Ji Hoo couldn't stop dreaming about the girl that saved his life. He had inquired from the emergency services who informed him it was Geum Jan Di the new intern recommended by his grandfather.

Jan Di thought about how Captain Yoon had done everything to protect his team, especially her from coming to any harm. Jan Di was already in love with the captain but not because of his looks but because of his heart.

If I tell him how I feel, how about his girlfriend. No, I think I am not good enough for him.
