Welcome! This is my first attempt at writing a fanfiction after reading many for a while, so please let me know what you think. I don't feel like I've seen many superhero Inuyasha fics, so here goes. And feel free to put out ideas, especially the heroics you want to see from Inuyasha. These first chapters are short, but they get longer. I don't know how regular updates will be, but hopefully pretty frequent.

Full summary: Following an accident, the Inu no Taisho remains comatose. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru must work together to keep their father's legacy afloat as Inuyasha starts learning more about his family's history. Using his new sword Tessaiga, he seeks to help all those who need it. Superhero Modern AU. Pairings are the same as the manga/anime, but romance won't be a focus of this story. Will mostly be told from Inuyasha's point of view. I'll try to keep him in character as much as possible, but this is an AU. He did have a habit of saving people and he was a bit of a show off at times, so I think him trying to be a hero fits.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Welcome to News 6, here is our morning report providing you coverage for all the day's hottest stories.

Cleanup efforts finally concluded for the recent explosion at Taisho Industries, and full repairs are expected to begin in the coming days. President Taisho, however, remains comatose and there is no predicting when or if he might awaken. His eldest son has taken the reins and has already begun making new business contracts. His younger son has also been spotted around Taisho Tower, although it's likely his role remains limited due to being preoccupied with college studies.

In other news, the crimson vigilante has been spotted again, this time by the docks. A small gang had been attempting to smuggle drugs into the city when their stolen boat began taking on water. Officials found a hole in the side of the boat and believe it to have been caused by some kind of very large, very thick blade, although they are unsure of how such an object could have pierced so deep.

"You stabbed the boat?"

"Yah"

"That boat belonged to Taisho Industries. Do you know how expensive it will be to repair."

"Keh! You told me to stop them so I stopped them! They had guns! I had to be fast."

"And you were spotted"

"So? I kinda like being the crimson vigilante. Think you could find a bank robbery for me to stop?"

"This is not a game."

"I know"

"Just get to class. I know you have an 8am today."

"You suck."
