A/N: Happy new year. Going to give this crossover a shot after getting back into the Bully video game. Also readjusted my oc's birth year to 1991.
August 12th 2007...
Heat Of The Moment by Asia played on the radio in the Black Orchid bar/pool hall as Gary walked in… and heard a voice singing along to the lyrics before he saw her near the pool table, wearing a blue floral print mini dress with thin straps holding the top part of it up and blue sandals.
She was about 16 with shoulder length light brown hair and blonde highlights that didn't quite reach her roots so he couldn't really tell if they were natural or the result of hair coloring that was done professionally… but her eyes stood out most to him as they were lapis blue with a bit of violet in them.
'Be smooth about this. You just got out of Happy Volts.' Gary thought to himself as he was plotting out how to speak to her.
Radar Love by Golden Earring started playing as Gary walked over and she looked up.
"Hi…" She responded.
"Hey there. New here?" Gary replied.
"That obvious? Somewhat… I moved out here just after Sophomore year ended. Had no choice in the matter. Name's Carly." She explained before they shook hands.
"Gary." Gary responded after they let go, Carly smiling a bit as she shot the 8 ball into the corner pocket. "So where were you living before?" He asked as Carly set the pool cue aside.
"Los Santos. A lot happened. For now, let's just say it led to me being taken out of the only home I thought was normal. The family I'm living with here, they're weird. This one guy in it was kissing some girl who's his cousin until she slapped him and told him off. I got disturbed by his behavior and snuck out over here." Carly explained.
'Derby's parents have a foster kid? They don't even care enough about their own son!' Gary thought. "Yeah, a lot of the families in this town have their dirty secrets. I don't know why there's a blind eye turned to them." He replied.
"If Derby was caught doing that in Los Santos, he'd be chased down and beaten to a pulp." Carly responded before they laughed, Into The Night by Benny Mardones playing and Gary resting his left hand on her right forearm.
"Dance with me?" Gary whispered before Carly nodded and he pulled her close to him before they slow danced, both smiling slightly and Gary resting his right hand on her lower back.
Reaching New Coventry after a while, Derby was furious as he looked around… and he saw Johnny and walked over to him.
"Derby?! What are you doing on this side of town?!" Johnny asked as he normally didn't see the Preps outside of Bullworth Vale.
"That girl that my family took in over the summer snuck out, you've seen her?!" Derby responded.
"Carly? She seemed a little rattled when she walked into the Black Orchid. It's that new place across the street from the Yum Yum Market." Johnny explained before Derby left.
Mercy by Steve Jones was playing as Derby walked into the Black Orchid, seeing Carly and Gary dancing and hearing them laughing as Gary spun them around.
"Caroline! What are you doing here with this wretch?! How did you get out of Happy Volts, Gary?!" Derby shouted as he stormed over to them and they stopped dancing when he startled them, Just Like You by Three Days Grace blaring over the radio.
"We're just blowing off steam, Derby! And I won't even answer that second question!" Gary responded.
"I was still disturbed by how you were treating Pinky! Incest, Derby?! That's fucking wrong!" Carly replied.
"First cousins is legal here, Caroline! You're not a Harrington but you will respect the Harrington name and not go being a slut in dive bars!" Derby retorted, Carly punching him and kicking him between his legs.
Gary grabbed her right hand and they ran after she grabbed her purse, hearing Derby crying and saying: "Oh Lord! I have to carry on the family name!" as they fled the Black Orchid.
'You deserved it, Derby!' Carly thought with a smirk as she and Gary laughed and Gary guided her out of New Coventry…
Present time…
It was sunset now as Carly and Gary were at the beach, having gotten pizza, garlic knots and lemonade for dinner and pretzels for snacks as they were on lounge chairs and looking at the ocean… Gary had told her about the riot he caused and to his surprise, Carly hadn't run off screaming.
"One thing that's never changed for me is going to the beach. My dad always insisted on all of us spending time together as a family every weekend." Carly responded.
"I wish my family was more like that. I did a lot of horrific things after going off of my meds and no one in my family really cared about helping me." Gary explained as The Living Years by Mike & The Mechanics played on a nearby radio.
"You know, I sometimes think my mom regrets having kids. She says she doesn't but often follows that up by saying "I just wish I had better ones!" like me and my siblings aren't good enough for her. I still can't get the image of her face out of my mind when the judge ruled that neither her or my dad were fit to be parents, she looked at me like it was my fault." Carly responded as she brushed tears away, Gary wrapping his right arm around her before pulling her into a hug.
"Blame is easy to place on someone else. Way too easy. I'm sure she regrets it or if she doesn't now, she will one day." Gary responded.
Nightfall eventually reached the town and Tell It Like It Is by Don Johnson played... and they stood up and held each other and slow danced, deciding to finish their dance they had started at the Black Orchid.
They looked at each other and were about to lean in and kiss before they heard Derby's, Gord's and Bif's voices… and Gary guided Carly to two nearby bikes before they got onto them and pedaled away.
Reaching Bullworth Vale, Carly and Gary got off of the bikes and hugged for a few seconds.
"I have to stay on my meds as a condition of being let back into Bullworth Academy but you won't be alone there. Tomorrow's the first day." Gary explained.
"I'll meet up with you there. And thank you for being there earlier at the bar." Carly responded before she walked up the cobblestone pathway and he left on the light blue bike.
Carly looked out at the darkened sky… and for the first time in the two months she had been here, she felt like she could call Bullworth home.
