Hello and I'm back in this cursed community! For those that don't know me, I was one of the authors for the fanfic called Empire of Valyria, which has been deleted from here a while back, if you are interested to see the story, it's on AO3 under that name. This story will also be posted there as well. So if you prefer there over here then go right ahead. Now I'm going, to be honest, I'm rusty, having been away from here over maybe 2-3 years.
Before any of you start thinking that this story will be frequently updated, I'm sorry to say that this story is just here for me to take a break from my other stories.
Now the gist of the story, Ned doesn't take Jon Snow north, he gives him to Oberyn Martell after they meet at Starfall. They agree that Jon will be raised by him, and live in Drone. Jon's real name is Daemon Targaryen.
For those wondering what the pairing(s) will be. I'm going with what might make sense and not what I'd want. What I know for sure is if I'm going with a single pairing it will be Arianne, and if harem the guaranteed members will be Arianne, Nymeria, Tyene, and Margaery. But there might be more in this category there will be Rhaenys, and Shiera. But before you go asking what about Daenerys, she's also an option but I do not like the pairing or her, so she's on a rocky and rigid line.
Once you read you will notice that I go between Jon and Daemon when it comes to him being mentioned and if you don't like that then fuck off, there's a reason why I left this community.
With that, I do not own Game of Thrones, A Songs of Ice and Fire, or the new House of The Dragons. They belong to their respectful owners, even though one of them is a fat fucking tard who can finish his books.

In the halls of the ancestral castle of the Former Kings of the Torrentine, were filled with the noise of two men making their way to a room that held not only a new beginning for the House Targaryen but also one of the lord's sole and only nephews.
Those men were the Warden of the North, Lord Eddard Stark and the Red Viper, Oberyn Martell. The two have spent hours on end arguing about who should raise the newborn babe, and after 2 days, Ned agreed to give his nephew to the dornish man. He gave Oberyn a few requirements to follow.
After agreeing to them, the 2 Lords made their way to the sleeping babe. Once there they found the Former Kingsguards Arthur Dayne and Oswell Whent standing guard of the room. Seeing both of them marking their way there. Arthur nodded and opened the door allowing a massive gust of heat to hit both of the newcomers.
Stepping into the warm and mucky room, the Dornish man looked around. Finding the room to be sparsely filled with only the bare minimum. But what he could see were 2 chests, one bigger than the other, a recognizable and historical hand-and-a-half sword. However, most of all in the centre of the room was a crib, one that held the sleeping prince, and was the centre of all the heat.
Making his way to the babe, Oberyn started to sweat from how hot it was getting, and close behind him followed Ned. Looking into the crib the Red Viper found a sleeping babe, one that had pale skin, and a dark tuff of black hair that had a few silver locks. But his black eyes quickly found themselves on a large richly coloured with rich gray being the majority of it with majestic blue highlights.
It didn't take the dornish man long to realize what it was he was looking at, but what shocked him was that it was the source of the heat in the room. Looking away from the dragon egg, he found 2 poles of shimmering amethysts looking at him.
"Is that what I think it is?" Oberyn asked as he looked back to the northern lord behind him. The man nodded, giving him the answer he already knew. Looking back at the babe, who was still staring at him, and the egg. "By the Seven Hells."
While looking at the thing, he felt something in the back of his head singing to him. So reaching for the egg, Oberyn went to grab it, wanting to know what it felt like. But before he could, the Red Viper felt a hand around his wrist. "I would advise against that," Ned said, bringing him back to reality.
Looking to Lord, he stood up straight and watched as Ned reached to pick up his nephew and soon-to-be ward of the Red Viper. Once Daemon was in his uncle's arms, the Northman continued. "The egg is hot to the touch for anyone who isn't of The Blood." Ned nodded backwards, and Oberyn followed to find Ser Oswell removed a glove to reveal a burned and scarred hand.
Looking back at the Stark, he said. "Thank you for stopping me. I couldn't imagine what'd I be without my pleasuring hand." Oberyn grinned when he heard 2 snorts from behind him. The lord's tonic face remained as he nodded. Ned's attention was solely on the child, whom he won't see for years to come. Oberyn lost the grin as he placed a hand on the broad shoulder of the Northman.
"You don't need to worry, Lord." He said the title with a bit of respect, yes the man might have fought against his brother-in-law and was best friends with the man who laughed at his sister's and her children's mangled bodies. But unlike the other lords who were there, the man in front of him was outraged by the sight. "I will raise him as my own and I promise you that if any harm comes to him. I will kill the bastard who did it myself."
Oberyn watched as the Northman played with his nephew's hand, and watched the babe coo. After a few minutes, Ned nodded and looked at the dornish man. Nodding his head to the 2 chests close by. "In the small chest, you will find the documents of their wedding, and those that witnessed it. Former Queen Elia was among them that witnessed it."
The prince nodded, already having gotten that news by a letter that arrived at Sunspear the day before he left to see who it was that the Usurper sent. "Thank you for informing me. But my brother and I already received a letter from Elia about it before I came."
Ned nodded, having already suspected such a thing. "Still thought you might need to know. But that isn't all the chest holds. It also holds Aegon the Conqueror's crown." This news surprised Oberyn, it was rumoured that the Conqueror's crown was gone having vanished when Daemon I fought in Dorne, along with Blackfyre who was taken to Essos where he was buried with its last owner, Bittersteel. "How they found it or the sword I have no clue. But maybe in one of the letters they left for him might have information."
Oberyn went to look at the chest and sword. But at this moment he finally felt a small amount of heat coming from their direction. His eyes widened at what might be held in the larger chest. "Don't tell me…"
"Aye." The voice spoke from beside him. "Rhaegar also left 3 other eggs with Lyanna and Daemon before he left for the Trident." Oberyn watched as the man looked at Dayne, and nodded. The man went up to them and handed a letter to his fellow dornish man. "In that letter he said that before this whole blood rebellion happened he spent a week in the caves of Dragonstone, looking for eggs. During the last day, he came upon an opening in one of them. Entering, the entrance having been blocked with dragonglass, he found a corpse of a long-dead dragon. But with it were 3 eggs, all of them warm to the touch."
Reading the letter, Oberyn found what Ned was saying was true. Giving the letter to the Sword of the Morning, he looked to the chest and then the one in the cradle. "So these were the eggs." The Northman nodded, and his eyes then flew to the chest. "He… he also said that the other 2 could be for Aegon, and Rhaenys…" silence followed, as the Red Viper felt a tear leave his eye. "So… so my niece and nephew…"
"Indeed. But I'm sorry to say this but don't place too much hope in the idea that the prince and princess might still be alive. Both of the eggs have been losing a lot of heat." Ned said, as he slowly placed the soon-to-be ward of the Red Viper into his cradle, where the babe started staring at the object beside him.
The two stayed quiet as they allowed themselves to wonder about their thoughts. Oberyn was thinking of ways to continue confirming her niece and nephew are in fact alive. Ned, well he was thinking about what he might miss while his nephew was growing up.
They were both taken away from their thoughts when they heard a knock at the door. Looking to the door they found the Lady of Starfall standing there, holding a scroll marked with the sigil of House Stark. "My Love, you have a scroll from Benjen." Ashara Dayne said as she entered the room, immediately feeling the heat.
Oberyn watched as the man took the scroll, and opened it. In the meantime, Martell went over to the two chests. Lifting the smaller one off the one he wanted. Opening the chest, Oberyn felt Arthur's eyes on him at all times, and found 2 dragon eggs but held enough for 3, one missing and was in the crib with the babe.
Going left to right, the first egg was majorly brown and covered until the tip of the egg was merged with a garnet red, and laying a hand on it, the Red Viper will later find this one was nowhere close to as warm as the other 2. The second and last egg was purely black with hints of crimson red, running a hand along this egg was like running your hand through boiling water.
'Aegon… Rhae…. Wherever you are, hold on, I'm coming for you." Oberyn said as he closed his eyes, and the lid followed. Getting to his feet Martell looked at Ned and found him clenching the paper. "I'm guessing your fish wife wants you home?"
Dark gray eyes fell upon him and were followed by a nod. "Indeed. It seems I have a son at home." Oberyn then watched as the lord clenched his once more. "But worse of all, my brother has left Winterfell for the Watch."

When Oberyn accepted to take care of Daemon Targaryen, more commonly known as Jon Snow, he didn't know that the boy would have grown close to his heart. The Red Viper saw the hidden prince as a son, and his daughters saw him as a brother.
But looking up into those amethyst eyes as he laid on his back, with his spear 4 feet away, and the shiver of valyrian steel biting his neck. Oberyn couldn't help but grin, Daemon has finally surpassed him, and his training is done.
From the looks around them, Oberyn was certain they were all just as surprised as he was. 13 years weren't for nothing, all the vigorous training and studies, leading up to this moment.
Laying his head against the ground the dornish let himself relax and let out a quiet laugh. Looking at the boy… no man before him, he couldn't help but allow the happiness swell inside of him, and Oberyn knew that Ned would feel the same for his nephew.
Daemon was northern in every way, his skin a pale peach that always seems to be untouched by the sun, his body taking the form of broad shoulders, and minus the few strands of silver hair, his hair was black. Jon also took to the Old Gods much better than the New Gods, and it showed when the boy was stressed or tired. He would normally spend time in a Godswoord's to clear his mind and find peace, but sadly that was when he was in Winterfell, here in Dorne they either believe in the Seven or Mother Rhoyne.
But even though he took after his northern ancestors, Jon also had a few Targaryen traits, such as his eyes and the silver strands. But that wasn't all for even though he had broad shoulders, Jon took more to his speed being graceful and quick on his feet.
"Uncle." Jon's voice spoke up, snapping Oberyn back to reality and the dornish prince looked to find the hidden prince sheathing Blackfyre. "I believe we have somewhere to be."
Hearing this reminded the downed man why the two were sparring. They had a ship to catch, one that would take them to Norvos but to be more specific to his niece, Arianne Martell. Grinning Oberyn jumped onto his feet with ease.
"Ah, that's right." He said a grin still plastered on his face. Walking over to his spear he grabbed it and placed it on his shoulder. "Still dreaming of my niece I see, Dae?"
He asked and watched as the hidden prince sent a glare at him with a light pinking of his cheeks. Oberyn smiled when the boy didn't react to his true name. It was no secret, after a few letters between the Warden of the North and the Red Viper the 2 agreed that it was the right time for Jon to know who he was, Lord Stark being very hesitant to allow it but agreed anyway. This also gave them away to allow the hidden prince to relax and destress, by showing him the dragon eggs.
Laughing, the Dornishman went to leave. "You're too easy, Jon, too easy." He finished as he heard his nephew and his guard Ser Arthur Dayne following behind him. Looking back with his peripheral Oberyn found Daemon mumbling to himself, making the Red Viper smile.
Leading the way he allowed himself to think about what he said. Indeed, Jon wanted to meet the Dornish Princess, and the reason for it was pretty simple, he never met Arianne. All the time Daemon spent in Sunspear or the Water Gardens, Arianne was in Norvos living with her mother after finding and misreading a letter between her father and Quentyn.
But it also came with dreams Daemon has told him about, at first the Red Viper thought it was some exotic dreams but when he explained the details of those dreams, Oberyn's interest was peaked and sending a letter to Ned about what he has been told, the response took some time but in a few days he discovered that Jon might be a warg. So the dreams of seeing a beautiful olive-skinned woman in her early twenties with beautiful dark eyes and thick and long black hair made sense.
Shaking his head Oberyn returned to the present, the glaring sun bearing down on his skin, and taking a deep breath the Red Viper enjoyed the warm ocean smell that filled his nose. Looking towards the ship that will take the trio to Norvos he found familiar faces, 2 of them belonging to Nymeria and Tyene and the other was the captain of the ship who has remained loyal to House Martell and their secrets, and it was proven when a duo of Martell guards went by carrying what they knew to be 3 dragon eggs.
The captain noticed the three making their way towards him and a smile that revealed rotting and missing teeth. "Ahh the Red Viper, the Sword of the Morning and the Bastard!" He said out loud, as he greeted them. "I was told we were going to the Great Norvos."
Oberyn nodded, confirming his words but his attention was on his daughters. "I'm guessing you are coming?" They nodded, but their eyes were stuck on the prince behind him, it was no secret that they found him attractive and lusted after him. Releasing a sigh, the Red Viper continued his path to the ship. "Fine but you gotta keep your tits in your shirts, and make yourself comfortable on your own."
