Final Fantasy VII: A Novelization

And here we are with my third fic! While I enjoyed writing Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV, I was left with a distinct dissatisfaction about my work. I used to be much better than what I put out for my first two works, back when I was a roleplayer at places like Shonen Junk and Bleach Forums. Granted I was rusty, but I was too rusty for me to accept. While I used to use a color coding system at Bleach Forums, I obviously had to adapt to . So I have a short key below for each common usage of bold, italics, and underline. I hope this doesn't end up being too complicated.

Basic Text: Description. This is the meat of the fic, depicting actions, dialogue, and fight scenes. I've tried to make each fight unique so as to be interesting, so I hope I succeeded.

Bold: Cloud's inner voice, constantly reaching out to him. Torturing Cloud has become one of my favorite activities in this piece. In some cases, it's also used for flashbacks. I'll detail which is which at the start of each chapter.

Italics: Characters' thoughts. All italicized thoughts will be of the character last mentioned in the paragraph above. Earlier chapters are a bit looser with this rule, so use your own judgment.

Division is into various "Scenes", each with an accompanying intro and separated for easy viewing. Scene One, Scene Two, etc. I'm keeping this trend from my last two fics, for anyone who happens to have come from one of those. All Scenes will be bolded and underlined. I included the start dates for my own reference, but figured it might give a view into how each chapter was written. While I've made notes based on the actual game itself, everything is completely improvised letter by letter, same as Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV. This is all off the top of my head, like I used to do at various forums. I hope that doesn't hinder my performance. If it does, I apologize, and feel free to flame me. I'm naturally quite gloomy so it probably won't hurt too much. Depression can be useful in such situations. ^_^

For anyone still with me - I won't blame you if you aren't - I present my novelization of Final Fantasy VII. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.
