This story is inspired by another Gamer story called, quite aptly: The Gamer Lucifer Edition.
This isn't me 'stealing' that story, I'm going to make it my own! But I figured I would give credit where credit is due...even if it has only one chapter and hasn't been updated in over a year-
To die is to live, to live is to die. This is the truth in every mortal being...no, not just 'Mortals', but Immortals too. Even Gods die. Even God can die.
But then, that begs the question that no man truly knows the answer to. What happens to us after we die...?
Do we go to Heaven? Hell? Perhaps a middle ground, in Purgatory?
I...don't know. I can't know. Because this...this isn't an 'After'-life. To call this 'life' of any kind, well...you'd be wrong.
Because all around me was...
Nothingness.
Just eternal, forever nothingness. Not Void. 'Space' and 'Time' didn't seem to exist. It was-
It was madness. I couldn't stay here- I can't! Why am I here?! You'd think nothingness would be...calming, right? No sound, no...anything.
But that's the thing. There's no sound. No Light. Time and Space was just a joke, there was no matter, no-!
And it's then that the scary part comes, in this hellhole of infinite nothingness, my Mortal mind began playing tricks on me.
It tried to make sense of insanity.
I began to see colours of which I'd never seen before, I saw things no man should see, Eldritch horrors spoke into my eyes, and burrowed into my brain.
Worms the size of galaxies slid into my ears, screaming sweet nothings, screaming madness.
I saw a world on fire, the heat freezing my blood, boiling my skin. So many contradictions, this isn't real, it can't be real!
Insanity, I was Insane. My own body tortured me as it tried to comprehend the Nothingness that engulfed me. It tried to create a Reality out of nothing.
Impossible.
It only served to break me, there was no 'Gravity' in this world of my own mind, there were no forces to act upon me, to drag me under.
The Flames that roared, they screamed like nothing I'd ever heard before. Singing songs that I couldn't begin to comprehend, speaking in an ancient, Divine tongue of the Gods that my human brain was unable to-
I fell through the 'floor' beneath me, I tried to scream...only I had no voice, I had no lips, no mouth.
And so I cried, only to realise my optics were covered by my own skin, then I tried to claw off my eyes with my hands, only to find nothing.
Nothing...
Nothing. Nothing. Nothing was everything, everything was nothing. Nothingnothingnothingnothingnothingnothingnothingnothing
NOTHING.

I faltered. That strange whisper seemed to halt Reality, to stop time with just a single a single comment.
The voices in my head faded, the burning, and the freezing sensations of unending pain, torturous screams...it all just stopped.
And I found myself...Sane? I saw a colourless nothingness around me. But unlike before, it didn't seem to touch me.
I felt the Nothing gentle brush against my arm, and I couldn't help but flinch, breathing a shuddering breath-
Oxygen? Blinking, I couldn't stop myself from breathing again, and again. The feeling of air in my lungs...
I had a body! I was...Physical again! Looking down at myself, I frowned slightly, I was Grey? No, I was glowing a Grey colour.

Dead? Yes...yes I know that. Though I don't know how I died, I couldn't bring myself to care. Did it matter?
Could I change it? No. It was behind me now.
Though...currently? Does that suggest I can take on a Physical form?

Images flew through my mind, pictures of people with screens infront of their faces not to dissimilar to the one infront of me now.
The information thrust threw my brain felt like it was going a mile a second, faster even.
I couldn't comprehend it, what was this? The images weren't that remarkable, but they held a certain...knowledge that I picked up easily, and after all that was said and done..
I breathed, closing my eyes as my mind burned. Shuddering as I tried to remember it all. And as I was about to press forward, and click 'Yes', everything changed.
Words.
So many words. They entered my mind at such a speed that it made the images look like they were a snail travelling underwater, while being weighed down by the sun.
So many, many stories bombarded me, attacking me. It was a blur, but a blur I could read, just barely. But this wasn't supposed to be some reading trip, a library.
No, even as libraries and a kingdom's worth of words flew by, that wasn't the point. The 'point' was the information that was beaten into me, like somebody was repeatedly stabbing me in the head, with a dull, rusty, broken knife.
And I couldn't even scream, because it didn't hurt. It felt natural, in a completely unnatural way.
Like I was remembering something, but it wasn't my memories.
It hurt, I was told stories of a- a 'Shiro'? And a Kuro. I was told of many versions of Naruto and Sasuke, some being Sakura. A woman called Akane. A boy called Eiji. Another guy called Axton. A man called Sora. A Devil called Gaius- and so many, so many many others.
It hurt, the information. Hearing of all of their stories, their struggles, the power fantasies.
And then...nothing.
My throat felt raw, almost like it has never been used before, but I spoke nonetheless. My voice croaky and raspy.
"...I accept."

There was silence for a long, awkward minute before I saw a box appear in my vision, a female voice whispering into my ear, the sound soothing.
I was scared for a split-second there. But as the Voice returned, so did my happiness.

Of course I know the dangers of picking Human, the weakest of all the Supernatural races. But they just held so much potential.
Humans were unaffiliated with any faction, a neutral ground for me to start in. I'd imagine any other Race I pick would atleast start in some other organisation, like Olympus, Asgard, Heaven...

And so as I turned around to find the source of the noise, I saw a man sat down, with one foot on the floor, while his other sat on a wall, his head was buried on the leg on the wall, his right leg.
But that's not what I cared about, he had wings, honest to god, big fucking wings.
They...they were like an Angel's, only there were no feathers, almost as if they had been burned off.
No, there were Feathers. But they seemed to flicker in and out of existence. Sometimes Black, sometimes White.
And in the middle of it all, was burned skin. That's what it looked like. But it wasn't ugly, not to me.
I instead thought that it just...had a story, I suppose?
However, as I looked at him more, and I saw a halo above his head, a glowing disk that radiated a light, I was suprised by how calm I felt.
Almost as if that Halo was giving a calming effect, making this so much easier to accept.
And then...then I saw his face, his face was nothing but burned skin, like his wings. It was horrible, but as I looked closer, I couldn't help but think of him as slightly handsome. For some strange, ungodly reason.

I couldn't stop the Name from leaving my lips, even if it was nothing but a whisper.

Seriously, just what are the fucking odds that this happens, after getting a Perk and a Trait directly related to Satan?
The man smiled, and let out a laugh at my awe.
"Yes. Lucifer, Samael, Hêlēl...I've gone by many names. And many more titles have been bestowed upon me. But even with all my monikors, it didn't stop the inevitable, my Death."
He looked at me, and I saw piercing crimson eyes, that flashed to a violet, and then to a emerald. The process repeating over and over again like an enchanted Rainbow.
It was like...I don't know, like he was a Devil, but at the same time an Angel. An Angel, yet also a Fallen.
Taking a shuddering breath, I took a shaky step forward.
"Right...um, so you're Satan-? Sorry, this is all just so...I didn't expect to-"
He smiled again, his face fully turning to meet mine, but I didn't winced at his burns, which only caused his smile to widen.
"No, it is quite alright. See...I think this was meant to be. Or- I don't know. This...it feels right, for some reason. Father told me my Life would begin anew, I don't think I realised what he meant until now."
I blinked, and then blinked again in shock as I felt my heart beat faster, and before I knew it, I raised my arm, looking in confusion at the Devil.
"Wh- what do you mean? How is any of this God's Plan?!"
Hêlēl- Samael? No, I think I'll just call him Lucifer. That sounds good, right?
Well, Lucifer sighed, looking up into the deep nothingness that was the sky. Looking into space without fear.
"His plan? No. Dad may have been 'Omnipotent', but even he couldn't surpass Death. Nobody can 'plan' Reincarnation. It just happens."
He smirked at me, chuckling before he continued.
"But I can't deny that I think that some greater force is at work, perhaps greater than even your power."
Lucifer exhaled deeply, before sitting up, his feet dangling as he pressed his palms against the wall. Just sitting there.
"Look, Michael- and ain't that a kicker?-, I don't know how, but your Soul called out to me. Maybe it's because of this 'System', and honestly, I don't care."
The Devil knows about the Gamer System-?! My eyes widened, I couldn't help but step back. But I found myself unable to.
Lucifer stood up, taking a step closer to me, his presence alone was suffocating. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't-
He walked past me, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"You're me now, mate. Somehow, you've absorbed my Soul. Or rather, my Soul has latched onto yours? Eh, I've never been too good at Soul Magic, that's more of Gaap's thing. Either way, you're a part of me. No, that's a lie. I'm a part of you."
I gulped, sweat trickled down from my forehead, my breath was shuddery, I was scared. I was...
"I'm not going to hurt you. I can't. Because when you wake up...I will be gone. Truly dead, Erased from Existence. There won't be an afterlife for me. You, Kid, are my Reincarnation, my Afterlife, in a way. So do me a favour, would you?"
It took everything I had to nod, barely letting out a meek sound, that sounded like a scared squeak.
The Devil then whispered into my ear, his breath bubbling against my skin.
"Live your life to it's fullest, and by that, I mean...Fuck the everloving shit out of that whore Gabriel until she's nothing but a spunk-covered, cum-drunk bitch in heat! It would be so good to see her fall, to my dick at that! Or perhaps you can find a loophole to make her not fall? Eh, either way is fine with me. A slutty Angel sounds better than a slutty Fallen.

The Devil took a slightly shivering breath, before he closed his eyes, looking at me as his eyes opened for the last time.
"Good- ...Bye. ...I hope Dad will be wherever I'm goi..."
He was already dead. And now he was more than dead.

And then I wiped my eye, a tear I didn't know that formed was cleared away.

As Samael was banished from the Heavens after commiting unforgivable Sin, he found himself on the Earth. And it was then, that he decided that if he couldn't become the God of the Heavens, he will become God of the Earth instead!

Allows the Devil to peer into another beings soul, and see all of the sins they have ever committed.
This skill cannot be negated.
Does not damage the Person being perceived, it is up to Satan to inflict punishment equal to their sins.

Lucifer was once known as the King of Babylon, whether this is true, or just myth is up to interpretation...but nonetheless, this has granted him access to The Gate of Babylon.
Uses Weapons found in the [Inventory] to attack an enemy at an incredibly fast pace.

[Desire Exhibition] - Level MAX -

This skill allows Lucifer to draw out somebodies deepest, darkest secrets and wishes out of them, and verbalise it out loud.

You are a conduit of temptation, whether that be the sexual type, or any other kind. 'The Devil made me do it', is what many say, but truthully...you just bring out somebodies 'inner animal'.
This is a Passive skill!
Can be used 'Actively' by focusing on a specific somebody, the power increases at that point.

[The One True Devil King] - Level MAX -
You are Satan, Lucifer fucking Morningstar! You're the First Devil, the Devil King. King of Hell! Every other Devil is just an extension of your power...
This skill allows you to 'Steal' a Devil's bloodline power (i.e Power of Destruction, Time Magic etc.).
The person you 'Steal' from will temporarily be unable to access their power, but it will slowly come back to them within a week.
To use this power, you must 'stab' somebody in the heart with your hand, which isn't the truth, as you are grasping their Soul, and drawing out their power into you.
You gain the persons experience and power that they had with their Bloodline!

No. Aaanyway, this idea has been sitting in my head ever since I read The Gamer - Lucifer Edition.
And so, I made my own story! Giving him a lot of unique powers you wouldn't expect. Because yes, I looked up nearly every different title for Lucifer, and created powers based on them.
Morning Star, Day-Star — Holy/Sun Magic.
God of the Earth – Earth Magic, Animal Understanding
King Of Babylon — Gate of Babylon, obviously.
Prince of Darkness — Shadow Magic
The First Devil — Demonic Magic, The Great Tempter
Anti-Christ — Sex Magic (because what is against God more than that?),
Satan — One True Devil King, Sin Perception, Desire Exhibition.
Thats not all of it, but eh, you can figure it out! I also just added some normal skills too. Like Mana Manipulation? That's because he's Human. Also why it's Level 1.
