1976
I hear footsteps behind me. I whip around to see Sirius Black, Reg's older brother. "How did you get down here?" I ask him startled. We are both standing in the main chamber of the chamber of secrets.
"I followed you. I wanted to see where you went every night." He looks around the room. "Nice place. I think this is where the Marauders will meet now." I scoff. "What?" He asks looking offended.
"Good luck getting down here without me." I tell him.
"Why do you say that?" He asks looking cocky.
"You have to be a parseltongue." I say smirking at him. "You didn't know that?" I ask with fake innocents. I laugh at his upset face. "You may now go."
"I think I will stay." He says stubbornly.
"Suit yourself." I call over my shoulder as I walk up towards Salazar's office. "You might become snake food."
I hear him scrambling behind me. "What do you mean snake food?" He asks stepping into the office behind me.
"I think my however many great's granddaughter means my Familiar Aurelia," Salazar's portrait says.
"Who is that?" Sirius says whipping towards to portrait.
"That's Salazar Slytherin. We are in his office." I tell him.
"His office?" Sirius asks. "The legend of the chamber of secrets is just Slytherin's Office?"
"Yes, it is. All the founders have their own offices. Salazar's is here, Rowena's is in the Library, Helga's is in the kitchen, and I am uncertain where Godric's is." I tell him. "I can't seem to find Godric's so far. It's well hidden."
"The founders have offices?" Sirius looks more shocked by the minute.
"Of course, my boy. Where else were we supposed to work in peace." Salazar says.
"Why haven't students stumbled across them yet?" Sirius asks.
"Mine only students with Parseltongue can get to mine. The others are easier to get to. Some students have found them throughout time, but they tend to keep it to just their friends. When they leave the office is forgotten again." Salazar explains to him.
1981
Sirius kept coming back with me. We eventually did find Godric's office. A few months after he asked me out on a date. He proposed to me in Salazar's office on our last day at Hogwarts. He also got to reconnect with his brother. So, when Reg was called to become a death eater. He also got asked for Kreacher to hide Salazar's locket. Reg told us and we all went and retrieved it. we destroyed it that evening. Aurelia was more then happy to help. She was upset that Tom Riddle used her. She is to protect not hurt. We can't figure out how Tom learned parseltongue, but we do know he is not a descendant of Salazar. He is not related to me in anyway. I am the only living descendent of his now.
October 31st, 1981.
"Annmarie!" I wake up to Sirius calling me.
"Sirius! What is the matter?" I ask him, jumping up. I see him dressing so I quickly get dressed.
"Someone found James and Lily. I need to go help." He says grabbing his wand and running out. I run out after him.
"Sirius, wait. I will go with you. Two wands are better then one." I tell him following and taking his hand. He apparates.
We arrive at the house and see Hagrid carrying a crying Harry. Sirius runs inside while I run to take Harry.
"Dumbledore told me to bring Harry to him, Mrs. Black." Hagrid says refusing to hand him over.
"Hagrid, don't you think Harry needs to be with his family during this trying time? He needs his godfather, and his godfather needs him right now." I try to reason with him.
"You're right." He hands Harry over. Sirius comes running out with tears rolling down his face.
"I'm going to kill him!" He yells.
"Kill who?" I say calmly walking up to him. I'm shushing Harry hoping to calm him.
"Peter! He betrayed us." He says as he goes to run to the apparition point.
I grab his wrist. "Sirius, Harry needs us right now. You will do something that will take you away from us." I tell him. he comes back and holds me in his arms. "If you leave in anger, you will do something that will take you away from your boys."
He holds my belly. We both cradle Harry in between us. He kisses me "Alright, Ann. I will stay." He says.
"Good," I know Harry will be happy about that.
We apparate back to our house. We put Harry in his room in our manor. We live in Slytherin manor. Reg comes running. He hugs Sirius.
"I am so sorry brother. I didn't know what he had planned." Reg tells him.
"Sev will be crushed." I tell them. "Do you think he will know to come here?"
"No, he will go to Prince estate to be alone." Reg says.
"I will go get him." Sirius says "No one deserves to be alone after this."
He heads out and apparates to Prince estate. Reg and I go to the sitting room. I sit down on the couch and he sits on a chair across. He pours himself a glass of fire whisky. He sips it. we are both deep in thought. Before too long Sirius arrives back with Sev. They both sit. Sirius pours two glasses of fire whisky. He hands one to Sev.
"Would you like anything, love?" Sirius asks me.
"Just a cup of tea would be nice." I say.
"Kreacher," Sirius calls. Kreacher pops in. "Will you get Annmarie a cup of tea?"
"Of course, sir." Kreacher says, bowing. He pops out to get the tea.
Kreacher loves serving the Blacks. He loves Reg the most, but because Reg and Sirius made up, he doesn't hold as much of a grudge against him anymore. He loves that he is going to get to serve the next line of Blacks. He pops back in with my cup of tea then pops back out. I pick up the tea and take a sip.
"What is the plan now, gentlemen?" I say.
"We will raise Harry." Sirius says.
"Of course, we will." I tell him. He pulls me into his arms.
"Then that is all that needs to be decided, my love. We will be his family." He tells me.
