Prologue
5 years ago - Pallet Town
It was a nice sunny day in Pallet Town. Kids were running up and down the grassy hills and dirt roads of the town; either coming home from their friend's homes or the Pokémon School lead by Professor Oak. But today was a little special for my family and I. Today... my brother Red begins his Pokémon journey! It has been his dream to go on a journey ever since he was 4 years old. Mom has been both excited and nervous for him to see the world by himself, but she knows that he'll be fine out there as long as he calls home. Dad is happy to see him explore the Kanto region and meet new Pokémon and people. I'm happy for him too, but I'm going to miss him knowing that he won't be home for quite some time. Even though I'm 6 years old and he's 5 years older, I feel like that the house won't be the same without him here. I feel like once he walks out the door, Mom is going to be next to computer just waiting for him to call while our pets Persian and Growlithe stay by her side. Dad will be at work as he always has, and I would be at home and Pokémon School. I wish I could go with him on his journey, but I can't because of Mom. So, what does a girl like me do? Play with Growlithe and Persian. As I played, I saw Mom walk to the stairs and look up to Red's room.
"Red? Are you all set up there?" said Mom. His door opened and he walked downstairs seeing Mom looking at him. "Yep. All set!" said Red happily. He put on his red and white hat and smiled at Mom happily. Growlithe looked and saw Mom and Red in the living room and ran upto them to say bye to Red. It barked and whined as if it was telling him to stay. "I'm gonna miss you buddy. Be good and take care of Mom and Taylor for me ok?" he said. Growlithe barked happily and ran back to me, without even knowing that Red followed it. I looked up at him as he looked down at me and he knelt down in front of me. Persian saw him and let out a meow. "Bye Persian. Be good while I'm gone." he said as he scratched Persian's ear. Persian purred happily and then rested its head next to me. "Sis?" he said. I looked at him and he saw tears form in my eyes. "One big hug before I go?" he asked. I stood up from the floor and hugged him. He could tell that I'll miss him a lot as I hugged him. "I'll miss you so much." I said sadly. "I'll miss you too. I promise you that I'll come back home once the journey's over, but I'll call Mom everyday to check on you... okay?" he replied as he picked me up and hugged a little tighter. "Red?" I replied. "Yeah?" he replied. "Can you promise me something?" I asked. "Sure sis, what is it?" he replied. "If you find a Pikachu, will you send it here to play with me sometimes?" I asked. "Of course. That's a promise." he replied happily. We smiled at each other happily.
"Red?" said Mom. We looked up at her wondering what she might say. "Professor Oak said you can bring Taylor to see you get your Pokémon at the lab. He thinks it would give her an experience to see new Trainers like you get their first Pokémon." said Mom. We smiled at Mom and then looked at each other. "What do you say; you wanna go to the Professor's lab with me?" Red asked. "Yeah!" I replied excitedly. "I'll get your shoes, Red you go get your bag." said Mom. "Alright!" Red replied happily. After a couple minutes, we were all set with our stuff and were ready to go! "Red, hold Taylor's hand all the way to Oak's lab and when you come bring her home ok? I don't want her running off from you." Mom asked. "Ok Mom, I will." said Red. After that, Red and I walked out the door and ran to Professor Oak's Lab.
Professor Oak's Lab
"We made it!" I said happily. Red looked at me and he knew that I was excited as we looked at the front door. As he nearly opened the door, we heard four people run towards us. "Blue? Leaf? You were called here too?" said Red. "You bet! I've been waiting for this moment for a long time." Leaf replied happily. "Hate to burst your bubbles, you two... but once I get my first Pokémon, I'm going to be the most powerful Trainer in the world!" said Blue. "Oh Blue... still as snarky as ever." Leaf replied as she and Red rolled their eyes in annoyance. "Hey! Who are you calling snarky?" Blue asked her. "Her point proven exactly." Red replied. I looked at the two kids with Leaf and Blue and recognized who they were. The boy with Leaf is Pat, and the other boy with Blue is Zach. They've been a couple of my best friends since we were toddlers. Our friend group is what you can say, inseparable, when it comes to hanging out together at our homes or at Pokémon School. Our parents even say we bond the same way as our older siblings do; without the rivalry as much.
The three of us looked at each other and smiled happily as our siblings talked. A couple seconds later, we heard the door open and we all turned to it; seeing a woman in a lab coat looking at us. "They're here, Professor." she said. "Send them in." a voice replied. We all walked inside and I was amazed of what the Lab looks like from the inside. Most kids my age weren't allowed to be inside the Lab until they start their own journeys; so for Pat, Zach, and I... this was a very special occasion for us. After looking around, we saw Professor Oak for the first time. "Red, Blue, Leaf. It's nice to see you three here today." he said. "Professor!" said Red and Leaf happily. "Gramps!" said Blue happily. "And I see that you brought your little siblings too. Just like you promised them when they were little." Professor Oak replied. "And also by your permission, Professor." Red replied. He nodded his head in thanks and looked down at Zach; seeing him all excited. "So Grandpa, is it true? Are we actually going see three special Pokémon?" Zach asked him. Professor Oak smiled warmly and patted Zach's head. "It's true. There are three special Pokémon inside those PokéBalls on my desk right there, and your brother and his friends get to choose which one they will start their journeys with." he replied.
"Three special Pokémon? That's so cool!" said Pat happily. Leaf looked down at him and smiled happily. "You excited?" she asked him. "Sure am, Leaf!" he replied happily. "But before you three choose your Pokémon, I want you to have these." said Professor Oak as he handed Red, Blue, and Leaf something. They looked at the items in their hands curiously and then looked back at the Professor. "What's this?" Red asked him. "This is the PokéDex." he replied. "The PokéDex?" Red replied curiously. "Yes. It automatically records data on Pokémon you caught. It's a high tech encyclopedia." Professor Oak replied. "Wow! Science is so amazing!" said Leaf happily. "Red, Blue, Leaf... listen. You three each will receive one PokéDex. I want you to do something very important: to make a complete guide of all the Pokémon in the world. That has always been my dream." Professor Oak told them. "It's been your dream?" said Red. "You see... the thing is, I'm too old to do it. It's quite difficult to travel around seeking all kinds of Pokémon. That's why I want the three of you, to help fulfill my dream. Can I count on you?" Professor Oak replied. "Yeah!" Red replied happily. "Absolutely!" Leaf replied happily. "You can count on me, Gramps!" Blue replied happily.
Zach, Pat, and I looked up at our siblings happily and then we looked at the three PokéDexes in their hands; knowing this will be one thing they can't let Professor Oak down on. After that, we were lead to his desk and saw the three PokéBalls for the first time. "Whoa..." said Zach and Pat surprised. "Wow..." I said in awe. Our siblings looked down at us and saw the smiles on our faces; making them smile too. "As you can see, there are three Pokémon here. I'll give you the opportunity to choose one. First up, is the Lizard Pokémon: Charmander. Next, is the Tiny Turtle Pokémon: Squirtle. And finally, the Seed Pokémon: Bulbasaur." said Professor Oak as he showed the Pokémon on a big screen from behind his desk. Red, Blue, and Leaf looked at the PokéBalls in awe and then looked at each other; wondering who will be choosing a Pokémon first. "Now then, you may choose which one you like." said Professor. "Leaf? You wanna go first?" Red asked her. She looked at him surprised for a moment and then noticed that he was serious. "Red? Are you sure?" she asked him. "Of course. Blue and I agreed that once the three of us get our Starter Pokémon, that you will be the one to choose first." he replied.
She turned to Blue and saw him nod his head in agreement. "Go right ahead, Leaf. Ladies first." he said. She blinked her eyes, looked at her best friends, and then nodded her head to them. She walked upto the desk and looked at the PokéBalls for a moment. "I hope she chooses Squirtle." Pat whispered to me and Zach. "No way... Squirtle is gonna go with my brother." Zach whispered. "Nuh-uh. Squirtle is my sister's perfect choice." Pat whispered. I rolled my eyes and looked back at Leaf; seeing her make her choice. "Oh, Bulbasaur." said Professor Oak. Pat looked at Leaf in shock; making me and Zach smirk at him. "Told you." Zach whispered to him. "Yep. Bulbasaur is the one I choose because my Mom sees my Trainer career bloom and grow like a beautiful flower. So, I decided that my first Pokémon... is a Grass Pokémon." said Leaf. She threw the PokéBall in the air and Bulbasaur appeared; jumping into Leaf's arms. "Bulba!" said Bulbasaur happily. Leaf smiled and hugged Bulbasaur happily. "Great choice, Leaf. Bulbasaur suits you very well." said Red. Leaf looked at him and she began to blush. "Thank you, Red." she replied shyly; making him and Blue curious.
Now, it was Red's turn to choose his Starter. He walked over to the desk and picked up the PokéBall in the middle. "I choose Charmander." he said. "Hm, interesting choice." Professor Oak replied. "Yeah. It wasn't a difficult decision. The thing is, my Dad gave me the name Red; hoping that when I grew up it would help me have the passion and power of a red hot fire. So, I chose Charmander to live up the name my Father gave me." Red replied. Red threw the PokéBall and Charmander appeared. "Char!" said Charmander happily. Red caught it in his arms and hugged it happily. "So that means Blue gets Squirtle." said Leaf. "Yep. The one I've wanted all along." Blue replied as he picked up the last PokéBall, threw it in the air, and Squirtle appeared. "Squirtle!" said Squirtle happily. Blue caught Squirtle in his arms and lightly smiled at it. "Wow, big bro! Squirtle looks so cool!" said Zach happily to Blue. "It sure does. Just wait and see, Zach... with Squirtle at my side, I will be the most powerful Trainer in the world! I will become the Kanto League Champion and make our family proud!" Blue replied. "Squirtle! Squirt!" Squirtle added happily. Zach cheered happily too and then patted Squirtle's head; making it happy.
"Aww come on, Pat. You'll love Bulbasaur. I promise." said Leaf. Pat looked at Bulbasaur and saw the smile on its face. "Bulbasaur." said Bulbasaur happily. It made a vine appear from its bulb and used it to balance its PokéBall on it. "See? That's a cool trick, Bulbasaur." said Leaf happily. "Bulba!" Bulbasaur replied happily. Pat blinked his eyes, finally smiled at it, and began petting Bulbasaur's head; making it happy. He then looked up at Leaf and smiled at her; making her smile back. As Zach and Pat interacted with their sibling's Pokémon, it was my turn. Red walked up with Charmander and gently put it down on the ground. I was both excited and nervous as he put Charmander down; wondering what it was going to do. Charmander then walked upto me and began looking around me. Red looked at me and noticed a nervous look on my face. He knelt down to me and let me hug him. "Hey... Tay, it's okay. Charmander's just wondering who you are. It won't hurt you." said Red comfortingly. "You promise?" I asked him. "I promise." he replied. Charmander blinked its eyes and lightly tilted its head; looking at me curiously. "Charmander?" it said.
Red and I sat down on the floor quietly and looked at Charmander. "Go on, sis. It's okay." Red told me in a comforting tone. I slowly walked upto Charmander and slowly reached out my hand to it. "H-hi, Charmander." I said. Charmander blinked its eyes, walked upto me, sniffed my hand, and then let me pet its head; smiling happily. Red and I smiled happily with Charmander, turned to each other, and hugged each other. "Good job, sis! I'm so proud of you!" said Red happily. "Char!" Charmander replied happily. I laughed happily as I pet Charmander again. Squirtle and Bulbasaur crawled out of their Trainer's arms, walked upto me, and began nuzzling me. I was surprised of this for a moment... but once I saw all three Pokémon smiling at me in awe, I smiled back at them happily and petted them. "Aww! They like her too!" said Leaf. "They sure do. In fact, they actually remember her from my Pokémon School presentation." Professor Oak replied. "Whoa! They're the same Pokémon you showed us at School?" Zach asked him. Professor Oak nodded his head yes to his question. "Wow... they must've really liked her when they saw her." said Blue.
"Indeed. When I showed the students these three Pokémon for the first time, they had an instant connection to Taylor. They jumped off the table and ran up to her; doing what they're doing to her now." Professor Oak replied. "Huh..? Maybe she gives them a calming vibe or something..? What do you think, Red?" Blue replied. "Well... our Mom showed us how to care for our Pokémon at home. I guess that they felt that calm presence in her and instantly warmed up too her." Red replied. After a minute, the cuddling stopped and the three Starter Pokémon were picked back up in their Trainer's arms. "Hey guys, should we test them out?" said Blue to Red and Leaf. "Huh!? You want to have a battle right now!?" Leaf replied in shock. "Blue! Why are you rushing into battle requests? You don't even know if Squirtle wants to battle." Red replied. "He's right, Blue. Your Pokémon's feelings are very important in battle. They can choose to battle or not if they want to." said Professor Oak.
Zach, Pat, and I looked at them surprised of what was going on; also learning another thing about Pokémon. They have feelings like people too. They can choose to battle or not if they so choose. Every single Pokémon has a different personality and they and their Trainers must find a way to work together without a bad personality clash. "If you want to have a battle, please do that outside. I have research materials to protect." said Professor Oak. "Okay, Gramps. Just wait and see... I will return as a Champion!" Blue replied. He began leaving the Lab with Squirtle and waved bye to us. "Alright! It's okay to aim high, but don't forget my request." Professor Oak told him. "Leave it all to me! I got it all covered." Blue replied. He smiled confidently and then left the Lab; starting his journey. Zach looked at the doors a little curious and upset. I noticed the look on his face and felt bad that Blue didn't get to say goodbye to him. I put my hand on his shoulder and comforted him. "Thanks, Taylor." he said. "You're welcome." I replied. I patted his shoulder for a moment and then took my hand off of him. He then ruffled my hair for a moment; making me smile at him.
"Well, I guess that means we should be on our way too. Right, Red?" said Leaf. "Yeah. But before we leave home, we should show both our Moms our Pokémon." Red replied. "You're right. And then we'll set off on our journey together." Leaf replied. Red nodded his head in agreement to her response. We all said our goodbyes to Professor Oak, and then went back home. Red and Leaf showed off Charmander and Bulbasaur to our families and they had approved of them being their Starters. After that, we all got to see Red and Leaf leave home and begin their journey together.
Home - 8 days later
"That is amazing! You already have two Gym Badges and made some new friends along the way! Congratulations, sweetheart. You know that your Father, Taylor, and I are so proud of you." said Mom. "Aw... thanks Mom. That means a lot." Red replied on the screen. "And I'm sure that Leaf has been helping you out on your journey too, right?" she replied. "Mhm. She's been a great help. When me and my Pokémon are tired from training and helping others, she's always there to help me out. She even learned how to make Medicine from Nurse Joy when we can't make it to a Pokémon Center at times. I gotta admit it, but ever since she and I left home together... we've gotten to know each other a little more. I see now how she truly cares for helping people and Pokémon in need. It's always been her dream to be a Pokémon Nurse. She just has a warm, kind, and loving heart, and will do anything she can to help heal a sick or injured Pokémon. Her dream really inspired me to make sure that I take care of my Pokémon with a lot of love, patience, trust, and kindness. If I were to force them to do battles, like what Blue does with his... I don't think my Pokémon would want to listen to me. But if I show them I have what it takes to be a real Trainer, then we can be an unstoppable team." he replied.
"You are absolutely right. And speaking of Blue... have you two seen him ever since you left? His Mom and the Professor haven't really heard from him ever since he ran off on his own." she replied. "Really? That's weird..? I always thought he would keep in contact with them because of his little brother. But, yeah... we've seen him a few times. The last time we saw him was on the Nugget Bridge near Cerulean City. He challenged me to a battle with his Pidgeotto, Abra, Rattata, and Squirtle. During the battle, he really didn't seem to care about us at all. After I won, Leaf tried to convince him to stop being a jerk and care about his Pokémon's feelings, but he told her to stop acting like his Grandpa and told her that he only cares about becoming stronger. He then gave his signature "Smell ya guys later." saying and then left us. Before he left, he told me that he and I will battle again soon and that next time he will be stronger than me. After that, I told him before he left to call and check on his family. He didn't say a word after that, and then he left us." he replied.
"Oh my goodness. Well that was very selfish from him." she replied. "Yeah. To be honest, we don't know why Blue is like this now. Leaf and I have been trying to convince him to stop being a jerk and make him be the fun, out-going guy he used to be. I just hope his little brother doesn't act like him when he goes on his own journey." he replied. "I'm pretty sure he won't. Because if he did, it will make their Mom very upset with him." Mom replied. Red nodded his head in agreement to her response. "And sweetheart?" she said. "Hm?" he replied curiously. "Thank you for bringing Pikachu over today. You made Taylor very happy when you sent his PokéBall over to the house." she replied. "Aww really? That's great to hear. I knew that Pikachu would cheer her up after that wild day from Pokémon School yesterday." he replied. She warmly smiled and nodded her head in agreement. "Speaking of Taylor, where is she? I was hoping to show her the new Pokémon I caught that I showed you." he asked. "Oh! She's sleeping with Pikachu, Growlithe, and Persian in her room. I had to make her go to bed early, so that she's up on time for Professor Oak's Pokémon Camp. I'll make sure to send Pikachu back to you tomorrow morning after she leaves. And I promise you that when she comes home, you can call and talk to her." she replied.
"Okay. I'll keep you to your promise, Mom. Anyways, I should let you get some sleep. I should be in Vermilion City by tomorrow night the latest." he replied. "Alright. Have a good night. Don't stay up too late, okay? I don't want you missing your St. Anne ride." she replied. "Heh, don't worry I won't. Good night, Mom. I love you." he replied. "I love you too." she replied. After that, the call ended and then Mom went to bed for the night; ready to handle whatever comes its way tomorrow.
Home - Backyard - 3 weeks later
"Taylor? Daddy and I are going to visit the Professor for dinner tonight. Growlithe, Persian, and Alakazam will be watching you until we get back. If you need anything, just tell Alakazam to Teleport to us." said Mom. "Okay, Mommy." I replied. She smiled warmly at me, and then she and Dad left to Professor Oak's Lab. I played with the three Pokémon for a half hour; playing imaginary games and pretend battles. As we played, I heard a sound of laughter nearby. I stopped what I was doing and looked around silently; listening to the laughter more. I blinked my eyes a couple times, looked down at my right hand, and took off the fingerless glove on it. After I took it off, I saw my cross-like wheel birthmark on the back of my hand begin to glow green. I've had this birthmark ever since I was born. No one knows where it came from or how it came to be, but once it started glowing... it had caught the interest of very rare Pokémon from all over the world. They come from far and wide just to see me and the glowing mark on my hand, as if I was destined to be alongside them one day. Because of this, my family had feared that my birthmark would bring me and others into danger. So I was pretty much forced to wear my glove to keep it hidden to keep me and everyone safe.
As it glew, I saw a pair of three-fingered pink paws on my hand. "Huh?" I said curiously. I looked up slowly and then saw a pair of large, blue eyes staring at me curiously. As I looked at it... I knew that I recognized it from somewhere, but I couldn't put a finger on it. "...Mew?" it said. My eyes lightly widened in shock as it spoke; wondering how it got here. "Mew? How did you get here? I thought you were hiding near the Pokémon League?" I said. Mew made a few sounds at me and then sat on my shoulder. "Oh, I see. You were bored from watching Trainers walking by trying to find you... so you decided to Teleport here to come and play with me?" I replied. "Mew!" Mew replied happily. I smiled happily at it and petted its head; making it happy. "Okay. You can come and play with us. Just remember to hide when you see something suspicious." I said. "Mew." Mew replied. After that, we continued playing together. As we played, a mysterious black van had drove into the Town and stopped by my house. One of the windows opened and a little camera appeared; recording me and the four Pokémon playing together.
"So... this is the kid that one Scientist kept on bragging about?" said the person. "Yeah... that's the one. According to the Boss... this Scientist says that kid has a special mark that can summon very rare and powerful Pokémon to battle by her side." another person replied. "Man... no wonder the Boss wants her so bad." the person replied. "There's something else you forgot, you nimrods. There is also a boy at her age who also lives in this Town that has the same mark as hers. If they were to join forces together, they can summon the most powerful Pokémon in the world. But since he has escaped from us before putting him in the van a few months ago. Hmm... if we use the girl and her powers... we can get the boy and the Boss's very special Pokémon back. And then the organization will be victorious!" said the Leader of the group. "So what you're saying is... this boy can use his mark to sense if the girl is in danger. We capture her and lure him back to the Lab and then they can bring Legendaries to us?" a person asked. "Indeed. Not only Legendaries... but also the Pokémon the Boss funded Dr. Fuji to create. If we have them both... he will be unstoppable!" the Leader replied. They all smirked at the idea and the prepared their plan.
Ten minutes had passed since Mew came over, and we decided to take a little break from playing. I knew that it was time for us to have a little snack break to get our energies back, so I decided to walk back inside the house and grab us some snacks. I walked back outside and fed the Pokémon their little treats; making them happy. I sat down with them and began eating my little snacks; enjoying the time that I'm sharing with them. As we ate, Mew's tail twitched for a moment. It turned around and saw something suspicious to it. It freaked out, made itself invisible, and Teleported away. "Huh? What was that?" I said curiously. I looked around with Growlithe, Persian, and Alakazam; seeing that Mew was gone. "What just happened? Mew? Where did you go?" I said. Before I said anything else... all of a sudden... I was caught by a powerful net. It wrapped me inside it and gave a powerful electric shock to me; making me scream in pain. Growlithe, Persian, and Alakazam tried to free me, but were knocked out from something that hit them on the back. "No! Growlithe! Persian! Alakazam!" I said in shock.
"Hehehe... they can't help you now, kid." said a voice. I looked up and saw four people looking down at me; smirking wickedly as they saw my shocked, terrified face. "Don't even try to escape. There's no use in trying. You should be thanking your Father for letting this happen since he never stopped bragging about you at work." said the Leader of the group. My eyes widened in shock to hear what he had said. "Take her away, boys. The Boss is going to have a lot of fun with this one. And if she screams... give her another shock to knock her out. Now, off to the Hideout." said the Leader as he snapped his fingers. Two of the men grabbed the net and began taking me away. I tried to break free, but then I saw Alakazam wake up and help Growlithe and Persian wake and stand up. We looked at each other as I was thrown into the van and quickly taken away. The three Pokémon were left in shock of what had happened to me and then looked at the picture of my Father at the window; growling at it angrily. They knew that in their hearts... he has to pay for what he had done. As they growled, Mew reappeared and then let out a powerful wave of psychic energy; calling out to the most powerful Pokémon in the region. The wave reached all throughout the region and then four pairs of eyes began to glow brightly; hearing Mew's call for help. They then flew out of the areas they were residing in and began making their way to the Hideout.
Team Rocket Hideout - Nighttime
"Boss? Archer has arrived with the child you have spoke of this afternoon. Her powers have been tested and she is hooked onto the device that you requested." said the Boss's secretary. "...Very good. I will be in the Lab shortly. Do we have updates on finding the boy?" the Boss replied. "No, sir. The boy has been a very difficult process to find. But we do have a picture of what the boy looks like." the secretary replied as she handed him the photo. The Boss looked at the photo and saw what the boy looked like. "Hmm... tell the Grunts to keep looking harder for the boy, and make sure he doesn't escape." the Boss replied. "Yes, Giovanni sir." the secretary replied. The secretary left the office and then Giovanni looked down at the photo of the boy again; seeing the same mark I have on his left hand. "Where are you, kid? Hope that mark of yours starts glowing as the experiment works on your little friend." he said to himself. Giovanni put down the photo and began walking to Lab; ready to start the experiment.
Inside the Lab, I was forced to be standing still in some kind of machine and was put on in pieces of compressive power armor. The machine that was holding me had given me a lot of anxiety as I was looking around the room; seeing all the Scientists looking at me. "Archer? Are you sure about this? She's just a kid." said one of the Scientists. "Of course I'm sure. If that co-worker of yours never stopped bragging about her and her powers... we would've never made it this far. Heh, he should've known that his mouth always gets him into trouble." Archer replied. "But what if she-" the Scientist replied. "Doesn't survive the experiment? Then her Father will be the one to blame. Our boss and the rest of us will not be blamed for this. And as for the girl... since she probably heard us wanting to find Legendary and Mythical Pokémon with her powers for us to capture and sell for trillions of dollars... she will be disposed of far away from here; where no one would find her." Archer replied. The Scientist looked at him in shock after what he had said, and then she turned to look at me; worrying about me and my safety. As I was staring at the Scientists, I was questioning why my Father let this happen. Why does he work for people that are willing to endanger lives to get what they want? How long did they know about my powers? How is my family doing now? If I ever make it out of here alive... there's going to be a lot of family drama once I get home.
"Archer. The Boss has arrived." said a Grunt. "Ah... excellent." Archer replied. We all looked out to the entrance of the room and saw Giovanni appear for the first time. "Mister Giovanni. It is a pleasure to have you down here, sir." said Archer. I stared at Giovanni in fear as he looked at everyone in the room. He turned to look at me and saw the completed armor on me for the first time. "So... this is the girl from Pallet Town. The daughter of one of our beloved Scientists." he said as he walked upto me. I closed my eyes in fear as he came closer to me. He stopped right in front of me and took the helmet off of me; wanting to see my face. I opened my eyes, looked at him, and began shaking in fear. He smirked wickedly at me; loving the fear in my eyes. "Well, hello there... little girl. Don't you worry about a thing. I promise you that nothing bad will happen to you. You see... I need your help. I need you to use your powers to help me find a very special Pokémon that I have lost many years ago. If you cooperate and use your powers to find it... I will set you free. Do you understand?" he said to me. I nodded my head yes to him in fear because I knew that if I didn't... things weren't going to be pretty. "Excellent, sweetheart. Oh... and after this is over, your Father will be thanked for his service to Team Rocket. It is all thanks to him that you are here tonight." he told me as he began walking away and laugh evilly as my helmet was put back on my head.
My eyes widened in shock to his words. Knowing that my Father is part of an evil group and has made me an experiment against my will... I felt upset, torn, heartbroken, angry, and betrayed. My Dad was supposed to protect me from people like this. He promised me that he would never let this happen to me, and he swore to me that I will always be safe. Now I don't know if I can trust him anymore. I lowered my head in sorrow and began to cry; feeling alone and helpless. The female Scientist that has worried about me saw me put my head down and cry; breaking her heart. "Sir. We are ready to begin." said one Scientist. "Excellent. Start it up." Archer replied. "Yes, sir." the Scientist replied. The Scientist pushed the button and turned on the machine attached to me; making my eyes and mark glow green. I lifted my head up and looked at the people on the other side of the room; seeing them stare at me. "Her vitals are strong. It's working perfectly." said Archer. "Excellent, Archer. Excellent." Giovanni replied. "Of course, sir. Anything for you and Team Rocket's future." Archer replied.
As they talked, I began sensing a lot of aura in the building. It wasn't from a person. It was the aura of Pokémon! My powers then made me see a vision of the Pokémon that Team Rocket had captured and ready to be sold many floors up from here. The sad, scared looks on their faces as they made their cries for help so loud in the empty room; trapped inside their cages. "No! What have they done to these poor Pokémon!?" I said in my thoughts. I listened to their cries for help more, and then saw that some of them were very sick and injured. Once I saw that... my mind just went silent. I stopped sensing them and I felt something click in my mind; as if a trigger just went off inside my brain. I then slowly looked down to the ground and began thinking of the Pokémon that I just saw. "Now I know exactly who you all are. You're all people who care for the money and power... more than the innocent lives of Pokémon! These Pokémon might've had Trainers before they were stolen... now they are spending the rest of their careers looking for them... wondering why they were kidnapped... left alone and abandoned. And now you are going to use me to continue your crimes!? You... you sick Monsters! I will make you pay for all of this! I won't let any Pokémon be caught by you! Ever again!" I said in my thoughts. As I was saying that, I felt all kinds of anger flowing through my body. A shadowy aura began to glow around me and all my green light turned to crimson red, and my powers began making the machine go haywire.
"Hey!? What's going on!? What's happening to the machine!?" said Giovanni. "I don't know... we're trying to fix it right away!" a Scientist replied. "You are not going to fix a thing, you heartless humans!" replied a voice. Everyone looked around curiously and nervously; wondering who just spoke. They then turned to me; seeing the dark aura around me for the first time. I quickly lifted my head up and they all saw my red eyes for the first time; staring at them in pure rage. "You... Monsters... are going to pay to what you have done to all the Pokémon you stole! All the Pokémon you stole from the wild and from their Trainers! You have proven yourselves to have no hearts whatsoever. And now... I will make you pay for what you've done! You will be brought to justice! Fear my Judgment attack!" I said in a dark, angry tone. I charged up all the rage inside me and then let out powerful energy spheres of different colors to the ceiling of the Lab, and watched them fall down like little meteors; nearly destroying everything in the room. Everyone was pushed back by my strength of the attack; landing to the walls and door behind them. I broke free from the armor and machine, and continued my destructive rampage. My eyes quickly looked around the room and the people in it; seeing them try to run away. I growled loudly as I saw Giovanni get up and run away. I began making my chase to him; wanting to bring him down.
I broke my way through the crowded lab and chased my foe. Giovanni looked for many ways to escape, and then saw an elevator. He tried to activate it, but I stopped him with a Aura Sphere; knocking him down to the ground. He looked up and saw me slowly walking upto him; glaring at him while growling loudly. "No! Please, stop! Just stop!" he yelled in fear. I growled again and then began to use another Aura Sphere, but then a bunch of Grunts appeared with their Pokémon; ready to fight. My instincts then were turned to fight against them instead of him. "Don't you worry, Boss. We'll take care of this little runt." said one Grunt. Giovanni stood up, smirked, and then made his escape; making me more mad than before. Before the Grunts commanded their attack, a sudden blast of energy came through the wall; knocking out the Grunts and their Pokémon. My eyes widened in shock to this and I began looking around the hall; wondering who did this. As I looked, a powerful psychic energy grabbed me and pinned me to a wall. I tried to fight it off, but its power was too strong for me to handle. I looked to the hole in front of me and saw a pair of eyes glowing as it floated into the hall with Psychic energy.
"It's alright. I am not here to hurt you. We're here to bring you home. Your family must be worried sick about you." said the voice. "...Who... are you..?" I replied. "Who am I? I am... Mewtwo. I am a Pokémon that was created here in the Lab that you were in many years ago." Mewtwo replied. My eyes widened in shock to the voice's identity. "You're... a Pokémon..?" I asked. Mewtwo nodded its head yes to my question. "Are you... the missing Pokémon... that Giovanni was looking for?" I asked again. "Yes. Giovanni only saw me as nothing but a tool to use for his schemes for Team Rocket. So I used my powers to break free from here and escape. Just like what you did... except I didn't go on a destructive rampage like you did." Mewtwo replied. My eyes widened in shock to its response. "Mew told me everything about you. It called on me, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres to come here to rescue you. We saw and heard everything that Team Rocket has done to you. So you can finally relax. You're safe with me now. And as for the Pokémon you sensed here... I Teleported them out of the building before the explosion. They are safe and far away from here now." Mewtwo replied.
I blinked my eyes, began to calm down my senses, and turn back to normal. As I did that, Mewtwo released me from its psychic energy and picked me up in its arms; seeing me begin to pass out from exhaustion. It blinked its purple eyes and then heard the cries of its friends outside. It then looked around one last time, and then Teleported to the top of the building; seeing Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres keeping police and news helicopters away from the building. Mewtwo then used Psychic to make itself fly upto the Legendary Birds and stop them from what they're doing. "I got her. Let's bring her home." it told them. They nodded their heads in agreement, and then they began flying away from the Hideout; taking me back home.
Pallet Town
"How could you!?" yelled my Mom. "Sweetheart, please! Let me explain!" my Dad replied. "You promised her that nothing like this would ever happen in her life! You promised her that you would protect her! You promised her that after she was born! You betrayed her... you betrayed us... you betrayed everyone you know here in this Town... you even betrayed your Pokémon! Just look at Alakazam! He doesn't even want to be near you anymore. He knows of what you have done!" Mom replied. Dad looked at everyone in the room with shock; seeing Mom, Professor Oak, Zach and Blue's parents, Pat and Leaf's parents, Blue, Leaf, and Red looking at him in disgust. Before he said another word, Red walked out of the Lab with tears in his eyes; feeling upset and betrayed. "Red!" said Blue and Leaf. They went after him on their own; leaving all the adults alone to talk things out. Alakazam, Persian, and Growlithe followed the three Trainers a few seconds later.
Red walked all the way back home, made it to the backyard, and sat down on the grass; sitting on the spot where I was shocked by the net. He lowered his hat to cover his eyes as he cried, and punched the ground in anger. After he did that, he heard the sounds of PokéBalls open next to him. He lifted his head and saw his six Pokémon: Pikachu, Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, Lapras, and Snorlax looking at him; seeing his tears for the first time. "Pika-chu..." said Pikachu in a sad tone. Red sadly blinked his eyes and wiped his tears before shedding more. Pikachu and the others then began to comfort Red and gave him assuring sounds to him; knowing that they will find me together. Red looked at his team, blinked his eyes, wiped his tears, and hugged them one at a time. "Red!" said a voice. He looked up and saw Blue and Leaf run upto him with Growlithe, Persian, and Alakazam by their sides.
The two Trainers looked at their friend and saw how upset he was. In their eyes, they felt like Red just lost everything and had just started giving up on himself. Without even saying a word, Leaf walked upto him and hugged him. "Red... I'm so sorry for what happened to Taylor. I promise you that we will find her. We'll bring her home together. You, me, Blue, and our families... we will find her. You just need to have hope in your heart that they had done nothing bad to her. Maybe someone that saw her with them snook into their Hideout and helped her escape, and is bringing her home right now as we speak. But, Red... I promise you with all my heart that we will find her. I promise." she told him as he cried. She ended the hug and saw him wipe off the running tears on his face. He moved his hat up and then looked down at her; seeing her eyes begin to tear up. "...Thank you... Leaf. You're right. We will find her together. The three of us... our families... our friends... and our Pokémon... we will find her and bring her home safe... together." he said. Leaf lightly smiled at him and wiped off her tears on her face.
"But... I don't know if I can trust my Dad anymore after all this. Now that we know he has been working for Team Rocket and has bragged about Taylor there... I don't know what will happen with him and my Mom after this." he said. "Well... he may be your Dad... but you know that he has to go to jail for helping out an evil organization. Sure, your trust in him is gone now... but you know once he gets out... he's going to try to rebuild his trust with you, Taylor, and your Mom. It's all upto you guys if you want to rebuild that trust again. But if you want to trust him again, you need to tell him to truly apologize to your sister." Blue replied. "But what if she doesn't trust him anymore now?" Leaf asked him. "If that happens, then there is no way he can get his trust back from you guys. But you guys will always have us if you need anything. We're here for each other and care for each other. If you two need someone to watch Taylor while you're gone, my family will be glad to do that." Blue replied. "Yeah. My family will do the same." Leaf replied.
Red was very surprised to hear what Blue had to say. To him, it really meant a lot. And it showed that Blue does have a kind, caring heart. Maybe the journey he has been on has made him change a little bit. Could it be... he's turning back to the kind, caring guy that he and Leaf used to know? The two rivals stared at each other for a moment, and then shared a silent embrace. They let each other go, and Red wiped off the last of his tears; calming down from crying. He looked at his two best friends as they put their hands on his shoulders; showing him that they'll always be at his side. He was lost for words when he saw how much they care about him and his family. He could literally feel the love from them warm up his heart. He blinked his eyes and then finally smiled warmly at them; making them do the same.
"Cuno!" cried out a voice. "Huh?" said Leaf. "What was that?" Blue replied. The group looked upto the sky and saw something flying high. "Is that... a Pokémon?" Blue asked. "I'm not sure... I can't tell what it is since its way up high." Leaf replied. As they looked up; their families had appeared and looked upto the sky too. "Hey! Are you guys seeing this?" said a voice. All the adults, Zach, and Pat turned around; seeing a family of six run upto them. "Yusho! Yoko! You're seeing this too?" said Blue's Dad. "Mhm. We were just coming home from our vacation in Olivine City, and all of a sudden my four boys saw something flying in sky heading to here." Yusho replied. "Yusho and I believe that our boys saw the Legendary Birds!" Yoko replied. "The Legendary Birds? I thought they were just a fairy-tale when I was a kid." Blue's Dad replied. "I thought so too... until we saw the news. I feel terrible for the family of that child that was kidnapped. It's a good thing that the Legendary Birds saved the kid. Who knows what they have been through." Yusho replied. The adults nodded their heads in agreement.
As they looked at each other; Zach, Pat, and Yusho and Yoko's four sons climbed over the wooden fence and stood in my backyard. They all looked up at the sky and saw the flying figure coming closer and begin its descend. "Whoa! Mom! Dad! Look!" said Pat as he pointed up to the sky. All the adults looked up too, and then the big group saw the figures come in the light; revealing themselves. "Everyone, back up. Who knows where they're going to land." said Professor Oak. "Yugo, Yuri, Yuya, Yuto... back up to the patio." said Yusho. "Zach. You and Pat do the same." Blue's Mom replied. All the kids and Red's Pokémon backed out of the way as they saw the creatures gently land onto the grass. All the adults got into the yard, and then everyone stared at the Legendary Birds and the mysterious creature with them. As they all looked, my Mom noticed someone in the mysterious creature's arms. Her eyes widened in shock to the identity, and she began to tear up. "Taylor!" she cried as she ran upto me. Everyone's eyes widened in shock as they heard my name. Red followed her lead a few seconds later. They stopped and stared at the mysterious creature for a moment, and then watched it as it gently gave me back to my Mom; seeing my injuries for the first time. "Thank you... for saving my daughter." said my Mom. The four creatures nodded their heads to her; understanding the pain she is going through.
"Wait!? Taylor was kidnapped!?" said Yugo in shock. "How did she get kidnapped?" Yuri replied. "I don't know... but I wanna know who did this." Pat replied as he clutched his hands into fists. "Me too!" Yugo replied. "Yeah! I'm with you on that one, guys!" Yuya replied. Zach and Yuto were too shocked for words of what was going on. They turned to each other with shocked looks on their faces and then turned back to Red and and my Mom; seeing them back up a little bit. "Your child is safe here now. No one should be coming after her for a long time." said the creature. "It talks..?" said Mom. "It's talking through Telepathy... that means you must be a Psychic-type Pokémon?" Red replied. The creature nodded its head yes to his question. It blinked its purple eyes and then used Psychic to take out Red's, Blue's, and Leaf's PokéDexes; doing something with them. "Hey! My PokéDex!" said Blue surprised. "What is it doing to them?" Leaf replied. "There. Now you three Trainers have data about the four of us. There's no need for you to "catch" us." the creature replied.
Everyone looked at them in shock as the creature gave the three Trainers back their PokéDexes. "When the child is grown has become a Trainer, we want to battle by her side. Once she grows strong and has experience... we will be ready for her." the creature told them. The Legendary Birds nodded their heads in agreement to their friend's words. After that, they all flew away from the yard and went back to their homes; ready to rest for the night. Everyone looked up at the sky for one last time; seeing the four Pokémon fly away in different directions. "Mom?" said Red. "Hm?" Mom replied curiously. "I'll take her inside the house... if you want me too." he replied. Mom looked down at me for a moment, and then gently handed me over to Red. He then gave me a little hug; letting me know that he's at my side. "Tay... what did Team Rocket do to you..?" he said in a hushed, worried tone. "I have no idea, but Red... I want you to get her inside and keep her warm. It must've been a long, cold flight for her to get here. And... I have some explaining to do about your father to our neighbors." Mom replied. Red nodded his head in understanding, and took me inside the house. Blue, Leaf, Pat, Yugo, Yuri, Yuya, Zach, and Yuto followed us a few seconds later.
Inside the House - Kitchen
"So... their Dad works for Team Rocket?" said Pat curiously. Leaf nodded her head yes to his question. "Team Rocket is a group of evil people who steal Pokémon in order to make money. They don't care if the Pokémon are wild or has a Trainer." she said. "Team Rocket only sees Pokémon as tools of business and profit. They are a group of people with no hearts." Blue replied. "That's terrible! Why would they do that to innocent Pokémon?" said Yugo. "Because of their Leader." Blue replied. "Their Leader? Their Leader makes them do this?" Yuri asked. Blue nodded his head yes to his question. "Then what did they want with Taylor? Did they see her with a rare Pokémon?" Yuri replied. "Maybe? We'll try to ask her when she's ready." Blue replied. Yuri, Yugo, and Pat nodded their heads in agreement. Leaf did the same, and then the group turned to Yuya; noticing that he was silent this whole time. "Yuya? You okay?" Yugo asked him. Yuya turned to the group and they saw a sad look in his eyes. Leaf walked over and sat down next to him. "What's wrong, Yuya?" she asked him.
"I... I'm worried about Zach and Yuto. They haven't said anything since those Pokémon brought Taylor back. I think that seeing her hurt like this is hurting them a lot more than we thought." Yuya replied in a sad tone. The group took his words to heart and then they looked out to the living room; seeing Zach and Yuto by my side near the fireplace as I slept on the inflatable mattress. "I just wish that there is something we could do to make them feel better. Something to make them smile again." Yuya told the group as he began to cry. Leaf gently hugged him as she saw the tears fall on his face. "And if this Team Rocket group ever finds her again... me, Yugo, Yuri, and Yuto will protect her! I don't ever want to see her hurt like this ever again." he said as he cried. "I know you guys will protect her. And same with Pat and Zach... they will protect her with you and your brothers. That will show her that you guys really care about her and are willing to do anything to keep her safe from people like Team Rocket. And I know that she will protect you guys too if they come after you." she replied. "R-really?" he replied as he wiped off his tears.
She nodded her head yes to him; making him smile. "Hey, Yuya. Let's make a promise. When we all go on our journeys, if we find Taylor in danger... we promise that we come to her rescue. You, me, Yuri, Pat, Zach, and Yuto. We'll protect her... together." said Yugo. Yuya was very surprised to hear this from Yugo. Usually he wasn't the one to give a powerful speech/promise. But he knew that in his heart, this was a promise that he couldn't break. "Yeah. It's a promise." Yuya replied with a smile; making the group happy. "What'cha guys talking about in here?" said Red as he walked into kitchen. "We told them everything we know about Team Rocket, and then these little guys just made a promise to come to your sister's rescue whenever she's in danger when she goes on her journey." Blue replied. "Is that so? You guys made a promise to protect her?" Red asked the boys as he knelt down. "Yep!" Pat and Yuya replied. Red smiled warmly at the four boys, and then sat down on the floor.
"Well then... I hope you all keep that promise. I trust you guys to protect her when you all go on your journeys. Wherever you guys meet up, and she's in danger... I trust you guys to come to her aid and help her out. You think you can do that?" he said. "Yeah!" Yugo and Pat replied. "Absolutely." Yuri replied. "You can count on us, Red!" Yuya replied. Red smiled warmly at the four boys; now knowing that I am in good hands in the future. After that, they decided to talk about the Pokémon that the three Trainers have.
Living Room
"I just don't understand. Why would those people hurt her like this? Why did her Dad let this happen when he promised to protect her?" said Zach. "I don't know. But if I ever see anyone that's part of Team Rocket in the future... I will make them pay for what they've done to her. Especially to that so-called Leader, Giovanni." Yuto replied; clutching his fist in anger. "Yeah. I'm right there with you on that one. He's the one who has to pay for his crimes. Not only for hurting Tay... but for all the Pokémon he stole and sold for money. Stolen from their Trainers and from their homes. We can't let them be forgotten in this world after all this." Zach replied. Yuto nodded his head in agreement to Zach's response. They looked down at me; seeing Pikachu, Growlithe, Persian, and Alakazam sleeping on the other side of the mattress; keeping me safe and warm. They smiled warmly at me with their eyes half closed; happy to see me safe. As they watched, my eyes began to twitch a little bit and I made a little sound; trying to wake up. The two boys looked at me in shock as they saw my eyes twitch, and they instantly jumped over to my side; waking the Pokémon beside me.
"Hey! She's waking up!" said Yuto. "Hey! Let me see! I want her to see me first!" Zach replied. "Nu-uh. She's going to see me first." Yuto replied. "No, me!" Zach replied. "No, me!" Yuto replied. The two boys glared, growled, and began wrestling each other to the ground; fighting for my attention. The rest of the group heard the sound of fighting and ran into the room; seeing Zach and Yuto wrestling each other. "Zach!" said Blue. "Yuto!" said Leaf. "Alright, you two... break it up." said Red as he stopped them and gently pulled them away from each other. Alakazam helped the boys get back to the group; keeping a close eye on them. The group then looked back at me and Red; seeing him sit down on the floor and holding my hand gently. I slowly opened my eyes and turned to my right; seeing everyone looking at me. I blinked my eyes tiredly a couple times, and then looked up at my brother. "...Red?" I said hoarsely. "Hi, Tay... I'm home." he replied quietly. "...Welcome home. I've missed you." I replied with a small, light smile. "Thank you... and I've missed you too." he replied.
He gently let my hand go, helped me sit up, and gave me a gentle hug. I gave him a hug back, and then looked at everyone else; seeing the smiles on their faces to see me now awake. "Hi, Taylor." said Leaf in a soft tone. "Hi, Leaf." I replied in a soft tone. "How are you feeling?" she asked. "A little better... but still really tired." I replied. I knew immediately by the tone of her and Red's voices that they don't want to be loud so that I don't get a headache. To be honest... I still felt a lot of pain. I guess it was from all the stress of using my powers at the Lab. "Taylor? I know this might be hard to ask you... but... do you remember what Team Rocket did to you?" Blue asked me. I looked at him silently for a moment, and then the flashbacks of everything that had happened with Team Rocket played in my head; traumatizing me. I want to tell them exactly what happened, but I kept on drawing a blank of what to say. So I stayed silent and hid my right hand. "It's okay, kid. I understand that you aren't ready to tell us what happened. It's all traumatizing for someone your age to go through something like this. But... I want you to know that you are going to be okay. You're back home, and all of us are going to keep you safe from now on. No one will ever come after you again... we promise." he told me.
"He's right. No one will ever try to get their hands on you again. And if me, Blue, and Leaf see Giovanni again... I promise that I will make him pay for ordering his "friends" to kidnap you." Red replied. "Pika-chu!" Pikachu replied as he jumped up on Red's shoulder; looking down at me. "And when you go on your own journey... you have these boys here to protect you. Whenever you're in danger, they will come to the rescue and save you." Leaf replied as she looked at the six boys sitting near Alakazam. I turned to them and saw them nod their heads in agreement to Leaf's response. I was amazed of what Red, Blue, and Leaf had to say. It warmed my heart to know that I have people that care about me and to keep me safe from people like Team Rocket. After a rough day like today, it feels heartwarming to see how much my friends and my family care about me. I tiredly blinked my eyes and lightly smiled at everyone; making them do the same. "Looks like she's all happy to have us with her right now." said Leaf. "She sure is." Red replied as I gently rested my head onto his chest. Leaf nodded her head in agreement, and then turned to the six boys looking at me. "It's okay, boys. You can get up close to see her." she said. "Just talk very softly to her, alright? She's got a big headache." Blue replied. "Okay." the boys replied.
Red helped me lay back down and adjusted my pillows to rest my head on as my friends slowly got closer to me. They kept me in a protective circle and looked at the cuts and bruises on my face and arms. "Hey, guys." I said tiredly. "Hi, Tay." said Yuya softly. "You feel a little better with all of us here now?" Yugo asked me. "Mhm." I replied. "That's great to hear." he replied. "Indeed. She does like being around the people who make her feel comfortable. It's no wonder that she always likes to be around us during school." Yuri replied. "Yeah. She's like the sister in the group that we always wanted. She's always done things with us that none of the other girls in our group do. And she knows how to make us smile and laugh all the time." Yuya replied. "Yeah. And she has always defended us from people like Sylvio and his gang all the time too. She's always cared about us." Pat replied. "And we care about her too. That's why from now on... we promise that whenever you are in trouble... we will be your superheroes, coming to your rescue when you are in danger." Yugo replied. The group nodded their heads to Yugo's words.
After hearing what they had said, I couldn't help but tear up. The boys noticed that I was crying and tried to comfort me. Once Zach and Yuto got close, they noticed that a smile was on my face; realizing that I am crying tears of joy. Once Pat, Yuya, Yugo, and Yuri noticed too... they breathed sighs of relief. "You guys... are the best. Thank you... for being the greatest friends I could've asked for." I said as I wiped my tears away. They smiled at me happily and then gave me a hug each. I noticed that when they hugged me, they knew that they had to be gentle with me. If there's one thing they don't want to happen to me right now, it is to see me in more pain. "Awww! You boys are so sweet." said a voice. We turned around and saw my Mom, Zach's parents, Pat's parents, and the Yu boy's parents looking down at us; seeing me and my group close together. "You really are a special girl, Taylor. You mean a lot to these boys. I wouldn't know what they would do if they never met you." said Pat's Mom. "They would be way to wild for us to handle." Zach's Mom replied. "Hey!" the boys replied in embarrassment; making their Moms giggle.
"Mom? Can we sleep over at Taylor's house tonight? Please?" said Yuya to his Mom. "Yeah! Please? We promise to not cause any trouble." Yugo added. "Well..." she replied. "Please?" Yuya, Yugo, Yuri, and Pat replied to their Moms. They thought about it for a moment, and then turned to Zach and Yuto; seeing their heads laying next to mine. Once they saw the puppy-dog look in their eyes alone, they knew that they couldn't resist. "Please, Mom?" said Zach and Yuto as they held my hands. I looked at them surprised as they held my hands, and felt my face turn cherry red and heard my heart beat really fast; all flustered of what they were doing. Our parents sighed and then looked at us happily. "Okay... you all can stay here tonight. Just promise us that you all will be on your best behavior, okay?" said the Yu boy's Dad. "We will." the boys replied. Their parents smiled warmly at us as we looked back at each other and smiled happily. The boys got quick little goodnight kisses from their Moms; much to their embarrassment, and then we watched them leave for the night. Blue and Leaf said their goodnight's to us, and then went back home with their parents. A few minutes later, my Mom and Red found more pillows and blankets for the boys; knowing that they're not going to leave my side tonight.
"Goodnight, sweetheart." said my Mom. "Goodnight, Mom." I replied. She kissed the top of my head and then lightly brushed my hair as I looked up at her. "Make sure that the boys don't do something silly to you, okay?" she asked me. "I will." I replied. She smiled warmly at me and then went upstairs; heading for bed. A few seconds later, my brother sat down next to me, and gave me a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight, sis." he said. "Goodnight, Red." I replied. "And if they give you trouble... tell Alakazam to use Hypnosis to get them back to sleep." he whispered in my ear. "I will." I whispered in his ear. I gave him a little kiss on the cheek; making him lightly smile. "Aww... thank you, Tay." he said. I lightly laughed happily, and then we gave each other a little hug. "I love you." I whispered. "I love you too." he whispered. We ended the hug, and then he went upstairs to his room; ready for bed. I layed down silently and turned to the boys; seeing Pat, Yuya, Yugo, and Yuri sound asleep, and both Zach and Yuto still awake. I blinked my eyes curiously at the two of them; wondering why they are staying up. As I looked at them, they turned to me and saw that I was awake. They blinked their eyes a couple times and then stood up and walked over to me.
"Hey, Tay? Can we lay there with you?" Zach asked me. I blinked my eyes and nodded my head yes to them. They lightly smiled at me and then layed down next to me. Zach was on my left side, and Yuto was on my right side. They laid their heads next to mine again and gently held my hands. I began to blush wildly again, but I made myself stop and breath calmly. "Taylor?" said Yuto. "Hm?" I replied as I turned to him slowly. "I... I'm glad that you are back home safe. When I heard about you getting kidnapped... I felt my heart break into many pieces. I kept on questioning why would someone take you away from us? What did these people want with my best friend? I was... so mad and upset that I wasn't there to help you. I felt like I failed you as a friend. But when those Pokémon brought you back home, I felt so relieved to finally have you back. I wanted to give you one of the biggest hugs in the world... but once I saw your cuts and bruises... I began to feel so mad. I was mad at the people who kidnapped you and hurt you. I may not truly understand what you went through... but I want you to know, that if this happens again... I will find the people who did this to you, and bring them to justice. I promise, they will never hurt you... ever again." he replied. "Yuto..." I replied in a nearly speechless tone; staring into his gray eyes. "He's right. If Team Rocket ever tries to come and get you again... we will stop them... together. I don't ever want to see you hurt again. You're my best friend too, Tay. And I will do anything to protect you from people like them." Zach replied.
I turned to him for a moment and was surprised of what he had said. "Zach..." I said in the same speechless tone; staring into his blue eyes. He lightly smiled at me, and gave my left hand a gentle squeeze. Yuto noticed the look on Zach's face as he did this, and then glared at him. In his mind, he knew that he had to do something to grab my attention. He blinked his eyes and then looked at a bruise on my face. He thought about it for a couple seconds, and then knew what to do. "Hey, Taylor?" he said. I lightly turned to him curiously; wondering what's on his mind. He lightly smiled at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek; surprising me and Zach at the same time. "Yuto... did you just-" said Zach surprised. "Heh, yeah... I just saw that bruise on her cheek... and I decided to give it a kiss to help her feel better." Yuto replied. I stared at him silently for a moment and then began looking deep into his gray eyes again. I noticed that when I was looking into both boy's eyes... I felt my heart race faster than when they held my hands when asking their Moms to sleep over. Could this feeling just be anxiety? Or is it something more than that?
The three of us stared at each other in silence for a moment, and then we began to laugh happily together, while making sure we don't wake everyone else up. Fifteen minutes later, the three of us fell asleep peacefully; dreaming the night away.
6 Months Later - Professor Oak's Lab
"Hey, Professor." said Red as he and I walked into the Lab. "Ah, Champion Red. It's good to see you again. So tell me, have you had any interesting battles back at the Indigo League?" Professor Oak replied. "I sure did. I saw many Trainers come from different regions with many Pokémon that I have never seen before. They were very strong in their own ways... but they never stood a chance against me and my team." Red replied. "Hm, it's because of how powerful your bond between you and your Pokémon is. You've always believed in them, and they've always believed in you." Professor Oak replied. Red nodded his head in agreement to his response. "And how about you, Taylor? Did you get to see some of your brother's battles against these powerful Trainers?" Professor Oak asked me. "Mhm. I sure did." I replied. "Cheering me on like always, right?" Red asked me. "Yep!" I replied happily; making him smile. "Just think about it, Red. When she begins her own journey one day... maybe she will challenge you at the Indigo League, and become the next Champion." said Professor Oak.
Red and I looked at each other surprised for a moment, and then he lightly ruffled my hair for a couple seconds. "Red? Do you think that can happen someday?" I asked him. "Of course. I believe it might happen one day. But remember this... if you do make it to the Indigo League and defeat the Elite Four... I'm not going to go easy on you in battle. That's when we battle as Trainers... not as brother and sister... okay? I want to see how you have grown with your Pokémon in your own way." he replied. I nodded my head yes to him in understanding; taking his advice to heart. He smiled warmly at me, took off his hat, and put it on my head; wanting me to wear it. I laughed happily and adjusted the hat so it fit perfectly on my head. "You really like wearing my hat, don't you?" he asked me. I nodded my head yes to him. "Well, maybe one day I can get you a hat that is similar to mine." he said. "You promise?" I replied. He nodded his yes to my question.
"Professor!" said a voice. The three of us turned to the entrance and saw one of the assistants run upto us. "Pardon me, Professor... but the deliveries from Professor Elm and Professor Rowan have just arrived." said the assistant. "Ah, excellent." Professor Oak replied. Before one of us said a word, two more assistants came into the lab with a cart of three items inside. Red and I watched in silence as we saw the items being gently put onto the Professor's desk. "Professor? What are these things?" Red asked him. "Oh, these? These are Pokémon Eggs." he replied. "Pokémon... Eggs..?" I replied curiously. "Why yes. Pokémon Eggs are made by two Pokémon, and they are usually found in Pokémon Daycare's by Breeders." he replied. "Oh? How does that work?" I replied. "You'll learn about it when you are older... trust me." Red replied nervously as his face turned pink. "Uh... okay..?" I replied curiously. I walked over to the desk and got a closer look at the Eggs. "Whoa... they have different colored spots..." I said. "Do they?" Red asked me. "Uh-huh. Come take a look." I replied. Red and Professor Oak walked over and saw the Eggs with different colored spots. "What colors do you see?" Professor Oak asked me. "I see... Green... Orange... and Blue." I replied.
"Good eye, Tay." Red complimented; making me happy. "I wonder what Pokémon are inside the Eggs? Will they be cute? Or will they be scary?" I said as I touched the Eggs. "Heh, who knows sis? They could be the Starter Pokémon, or new ones we haven't seen before?" Red replied. When he said that, I was excited. I've always seen the new Pokémon that Red has faced were fully evolved, but to see baby Pokémon that I have never seen before... it made my heart skip a beat. Now I really want to stay here and take care of the Eggs all day. Red, Professor Oak, and the assistants noticed how I was being calm and gentle while touching the Eggs; making them lightly smile at me. "She seems to be quite attached to them already." said one of the assistants. "She sure does." Professor Oak replied. "Is she the only student in her age group of the class that has seen the Eggs?" another assistant asked. Professor Oak nodded his head yes to the question. "It was my plan to show them to the class, and tell them what would happen if they would find a Egg at the Daycare's or out in the wild, and how they should take care of them." he replied. "But you're afraid that most of the students would be reckless with them and do some damage to them." another assistant asked. Professor Oak nodded his head yes to the response.
"Hey, Professor? What if me and Taylor take them? I can tell that she would do anything to keep them safe. And whatever Pokémon will hatch from them... my Mom and I will make sure that she will be responsible with them and take care of them as her own." Red asked him. Professor Oak was surprised of Red's response for a moment. He then turned to me and saw how kindly I was treating the Eggs. I also was talking softly to them; hoping that the Pokémon in the Eggs were listening to me. He blinked his eyes, sighed, and smiled warmly. "Okay... you and Taylor can take them home, Red." he said. "Really!?" I replied happily. Red and Professor Oak nodded their heads to me; making me cheer happily. "But before you two leave... since they will be your Pokémon, Taylor... we have to register you as an official Pokémon Trainer." he replied. "Really? I get to be a Pokémon Trainer?" I said surprised. "Yep." he replied. I turned to my brother in excitement; making him laugh happily. "What do you think, sis? You get to be a Pokémon Trainer first before everyone in your class?" he said happily. "Yeah! That's so cool!" I replied happily. "But... she can't tell anybody in her class yet. It has to be kept a secret." Professor Oak replied. "How come?" I replied. "Because you are too young to set off on your own. When you become the age your brother was when he started his journey... that's when you and your Pokémon can begin your journey." he replied.
I blinked my eyes for a second, and then nodded my head in understanding. "Hey... at least you can still have a lot of time to bond with them at home. And maybe I can let you take them to my battles someday." Red told me. My eyes lit up in excitement to his response, and I ran over to him; giving him a hug. "Haha! You promise that you will take very good care of them?" he asked. "Mhm! I promise! I'll even pinky swear it!" I replied. "You'll pinky swear it?" he replied as he knelt down to me. I nodded my head yes to him. We did a pinky swear together, and I gave him his hat back. After a couple minutes, we put the Eggs gently back onto the cart, and got myself registered as a Pokémon Trainer! After the registration and receiving a very special kind of PokéDex, Red and I made our way home, and showed Mom the three Eggs for the first time. We told her everything that had happened at the Lab, and she was very excited that I got officially registered to be a Trainer. After a few minutes, we gently took the Eggs out of the incubators and wrapped them up in warm and comfortable blankets; keeping them safe. I smiled happily as I held the Eggs one at a time in my arms, being all motherly to them. My Mom and Red were watching me the whole time as I held the Eggs and smiled warmly at me; loving how responsible I was being with them, and giving the same amount of love and warmth. I may not know which kinds of Pokémon are inside these Eggs, but I hope that they feel the love and warmth that I am giving them.
2 weeks later - Bedtime
A couple weeks had passed since I got the Eggs from Professor Oak's Lab. Everyday when I come home from school, I always run upstairs to the Eggs in my room and check on them; making sure that they are safe and warm. I noticed that everytime when I hold them, they started to feel warmer and warmer. I guess that I am doing a pretty good job of taking care of them. I just hope someday soon that they will hatch and see me in person for the very first time. Even Mom and Red say that when I come home to the Eggs, they can sense that the Pokémon inside are very happy to see me. I don't know how they can sense that, but I guess that this feeling is a very good thing to know. After finishing up some homework, eating dinner, and spending quality time with my family; it was time to go to bed. I tucked the Eggs into the beds that Mom, Red, and I made for them, gave them kisses goodnight, and got into bed; slowly falling asleep.
As I was sleeping, a bright light began to glow in the room. As the light glew, the sound of cracking had begun from the Eggs. I woke up to the sound of cracking and the light catching my closed, tired eyes. "Huh? What's going on?" I said tiredly. I blinked my eyes and then saw the Eggs glowing for the first time. I gasped in shock, jumped out of my bed, and sat down in front of the Eggs; waiting to see what happens next. Thirty seconds later, the Eggs were fully hatched! I uncovered my eyes from the light and saw the three newly hatched Pokémon for the first time. They opened their eyes and looked at me for the first time; wondering who I was. "Hello, you three. Welcome to the world. My name is Taylor, and I am your Trainer." I said softly. Their eyes softly widened to my voice, as if they recognized it. They then smiled at me happily, stood up on their feet, and jumped onto me; giving me a big group hug. I fell down to the floor with them and we all laughed happily together. They nuzzled their faces onto mine and I gently petted their heads; making them blush in pure happiness.
We then sat up from the floor, snook out of my room, and went downstairs to the kitchen. I quietly grabbed a chair, climbed up on it, and grabbed three cans of baby Pokémon food that Mom bought at the store a few days ago. I stepped down from the chair, opened the cans, and put the food in their bowls. They walked upto the bowls, sat down happily, and began eating the food. The difference between baby Pokémon food and normal Pokémon food is that the baby food has more nutrients that the baby Pokémon needs to help it grow strong and healthy. I sat down near them as they ate; making sure that they don't eat too fast. As I watched, I heard the sound of footsteps coming towards me. I turned around and looked up; seeing Mom, Red, and his Pikachu looking down at me. "Sweetheart? What are you doing up this late?" Mom asked me. "I'm feeding my Pokémon." I replied as I showed them. Mom and Red's eyes widened in shock to see the three baby Pokémon for the first time.
"No way... so those are the three Pokémon that were in the Eggs..." said Mom in a hushed, surprised tone. I nodded my head yes to her response. "But what kind of Pokémon are they?" she asked. "Well... one of them is a Charmander. But I have never seen a Charmander with red markings before... especially with them over most of its body." Red replied. "Maybe it is a special kind of Charmander?" Mom asked him. "Maybe... and then those two Pokémon... I remember learning about them in School years ago... they are: Pichu and Riolu. Pichu is a Pokémon discovered in the Johto region by Professor Elm. They are the pre-evolved form of Pikachu. And Riolu is a Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. It is one of the rarest Pokémon to find in the wild. When it has a powerful bond with its Trainer, it will evolve into a Lucario." he replied. "That's amazing. I'm glad you kept your school knowledge about Pokémon." she replied. "Heh, I guess that my time in school would come in handy someday." he replied. "Pikachu." Pikachu replied.
Pikachu jumped off of Red's shoulder and slowly approached Pichu, Charmander, and Riolu. They turned to him curiously, stared at him for a moment, and then they said their hellos to each other. We breathed sighs of relief as they began to get along with each other. "Hey... take a look at Pichu. He's got green eyes... and black and yellow spiky hair on his head." said Red. "I guess that he is a special kind of Pichu." Mom replied. "Yeah. That's going to make my Pikachu jealous a little bit." he replied. I smiled at them happily and then looked down at my right hand; seeing the mark begin to glow. I lightly gasped in shock; making Mom, Red, and the four Pokémon look at me. "Taylor... your mark... it's glowing..." said Mom. Pikachu, Pichu, Charmander, and Riolu walked upto me and stared at my right hand closely. I looked at my three Pokémon as they took one more step and touched the mark for the first time. As they did that, our eyes began to glow green. The sudden flash in our eyes had made us see the memories of our first meeting back at the Lab. When they were inside their Eggs, they had sensed my presence from the very beginning, and formed an instant attachment to me. To us... this was fate that we had met and were meant to be together... not only as a team... but as a family.
Our eyes and my mark stopped glowing after the flashbacks ended. We blinked our eyes and stared at each other silently. "Tay? You okay?" Red asked me. I looked at him and nodded my head yes to him. "What happened to you four, sweetheart?" Mom asked me. "We... we saw a vision... of how we first met." I replied. "Huh?" she replied curiously. "When they were still in their Eggs, they could sense me... and my mark; as if we were destined to be together. They saw me as the only person to raise them, protect them, and love them. The four of us were truly destined to meet and be together forever. We may not know what the future has in store for us, but I know that we will be ready for it. Whatever comes our way, we will face it head on together... not only as a team... but as a family." I replied. "Pichu!" Pichu replied happily. "Char!" Charmander replied. "Lu!" Riolu replied. We smiled warmly at them and then I gently hugged them happily; making them smile. About fifteen minutes later, we all went back upstairs and were ready for bed. Before I fell asleep, I officially caught my three Pokémon in their PokéBalls that were on the sides of the incubators. After they were caught, they were registered to my PokéDex. They jumped out of their PokéBalls, and jumped onto my bed; laying down with me. Charmander layed on his back and held his tail up; making sure that he didn't burn the bed. Pichu layed down on my stomach, and Riolu layed down under my right arm. We fell asleep a few minutes later; ready to start our brand new lives together.
5 years later - Present Day
"Taylor? Are you all set up there?" said Mom. "Yep! I'm all set!" I replied from upstairs. "Well you better be quick. You have Tetrax, Dragonfire, and Aurasoul impatiently waiting for you downstairs." Mom replied. "Okay. I'm coming." I replied. I walked downstairs and showed off my new clothes and bag to Mom *(A/N: Taylor is wearing the Partner Cap, Blue Varsity Jacket, Reigning Champion T-shirt, Designer Denims in Navy color, Casual Shoes in Black, and Reigning Champion Gloves and Socks from Sword and Shield. Her Bag is very similar to Red's Bag)*. "Well..? How do I look?" I asked her. "You look amazing, sweetheart." she replied. "Aww, thanks Mom." I replied as I hugged her. She hugged back happily, and then we let go of each other. "You have your PokéDex with you?" she asked me. "Yep. Right here." I replied as I took it out *(A/N: Her PokéDex is the Rotom Phone from Sword and Shield)*. She smiled happily at me as I put my Phone in my pocket and looked at her with a smile. "Taylor. I wish you a lot of luck on your journey. And I hope that you get to the Elite Four and challenge your brother one day. When that happens, I will be cheering you on all the way." she said. "Thank you, Mom. And I will make you and Red proud... I promise." I replied. She smiled warmly, and we hugged each other one last time; saying our goodbyes for now. "I'll still call you when I make it to the Cities, and let you know everything that I am doing." I said. "I know you will." she replied. After that, I turned to the door and walked outside the house.
As I stood outside, I saw my three Pokémon waiting for me. During these five years, Tetrax had evolved into a Pikachu, Dragonfire had fully evolved into a Charizard, and Aurasoul had fully evolved into a Lucario. Tetrax smiled happily, ran upto me, and jumped up on my shoulder; nuzzling me happily. Aurasoul and Dragonfire hugged us happily; excited for our journey to begin. "You guys are really excited huh?" I said happily. "Pikachu!" Tetrax replied happily. Aurasoul and Dragonfire made happy sounds and nodded their heads; confirming my question. "Same here. I am as excited as you are. But before we leave town, we have to see Professor Oak give Zach and Pat their Starter Pokémon. I want to see if they are going to follow in their older sibling's footsteps. And plus, this will be the first time that you three will actually get to meet them. And hopefully that throughout this journey, you will meet all my other friends from here too." I said. Tetrax, Dragonfire, and Aurasoul nodded their heads in understanding.
After that, we began walking down the pathway towards Professor Oak's Lab. As we walked, I began having flashbacks of going to the Lab with Red and seeing him pick his Charmander. I smiled warmly as the flashbacks played in my head; knowing how nostalgic that beginning was. "Someday soon, big brother... I will climb my way to the top, and challenge you... just like we promised. Me and my Pokémon have learned so many things from you and your challengers for the past five years. I know that you are planning some kind of strategy for our battle... but you don't know what kinds of Pokémon that I will catch and use for our battle. But I promise you this... we are more prepared for you than you least expect it. And I will give you a battle that you will never forget." I said in my thoughts.
Thank you so much for reading the Prologue Chapter of the reboot of My Pokémon Journey! This has been a project in the making for the past three years, and I am so excited to bring this back, and make it better than ever! And what a better way in bringing this story back by having a cross-over with the characters in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V! When I first thought of crossing these characters into the story, I was mentally debating with myself of how they would be in the story, personality-wise mostly. But then after watching the anime and reading the manga, I decided on how their personalities should be. As for their teams, they will appear soon, but they will be mostly made of Pokémon from other regions. I won't say which Pokémon are on their teams yet. I want to slowly introduce their teams and have them catch certain ones that fit their personalities.
Anyways, thank you so much for reading and have an awesome day!
Next time, Chapter 1: The Journey Starts Today! Zach and Pat go to Professor Oak's Lab and receive their Starter Pokémon, and then set off with Taylor on their journey! What are the dreams of these two boys? What has happened to their group in the past five years? What kinds of Pokémon will these three Trainers meet? Find out in Chapter 1!
