A couple days would go by and for Tucker it was all the much the same, classes, helping out William, getting partially annoyed by Misha and so on. Sunday came around and things were going to change. The festival was going to happen.
Tucker was in his bed as he began to wake up. He stumbled around once he got out of it. He was wondering what was going on and what was going to happen. He heard a knocking on the door before he began to head to see what it was.
"Coming." Tucker told whoever was at the door while he was trying to get himself dressed. Once that was done. He went over to the door and opened it. Outside waiting were the bespeckled gentlemen standing in the hallway. It was Kenji. "Oh great, what do you want?" Tucker groaned. Out of all the people that were knocking on his door, why did he have to get him?
Katawa Shoujo- Out of the Loop
"You were the only person inside of the building still, I think it's ten minutes to eleven." Kenji told Tucker. Tucker realized that he needed to get himself prepared. He couldn't go out looking like a mess.
"Crap I overslept!" Tucker told Kenji, there was no time to lose. Tucker grabbed everything and began to pull his clothes over him as he knew he needed to be there if he was to be presentable. Kenji looked on as he tried to block Tucker's path.
"Where do you think you're going?" Kenji asked. "Are you going to help me work on my fort? It's barely finished."
"What fort?" Tucker asked. He needed to get Kenji out of the way.
"The feminists, they're coming." Kenji retorted. Tucker made an effort to shove Kenji out of the way so he could get to the bathroom and make himself look presentable.
"Kenji this is getting ridiculous, there are no feminists coming after you. Now can I please go to the bathroom?" Tucker asked Kenji if he could just go away so he could attend the festival.
"Will you help me work on my fort after you use the bathroom?" Kenji asked Tucker if he was going to be there. Tucker knew he had to lie his way out of this situation if it meant getting Kenji to bugger off.
"Yes." Tucker told Kenji in an annoyed sigh. Kenji then moved away from the doorway before walking off.
"I'll be in my dorm next to Hisao's. I'll be waiting." Kenji told Tucker. Once Kenji had disappeared enough. Tucker decided to walk to the bathroom before doing his hair and brushing his teeth. Once done, he returned to his dorm to grab the items he needed. And within ten minutes, he was out the door and heading for the festival. Kenji was looking out of his window as Tucker had disappeared on him. All he needed to do now was wait.
Tucker used the answer to trick Kenji into helping out with the fort, but his words were merely an excuse. He just wanted to attend the festival that was happening. The crowd of the festival was mostly Yamaku students who came to enjoy the fresh air that presented itself. There were also families with small enthusiastic children as well as some of the older people who wanted to have a good time today. Tucker was busy looking for one person and one person only at the moment. He knew where he needed to go. The mural. Rin says it was finished. And if it was, that was the first place he was going to check. Tucker made his way to the mural before bumping into a girl with auburn red hair and green eyes. It was her again.
"You came Tucky." Rin greeted him. Tucker looked on; was this another nickname someone was trying to call him? Rin stood there with a small smile on her face.
"I did, I was looking all over for you." Tucker told Rin.
Katawa Shoujo- Parity
"Where were you? I thought you weren't going to come?" Rin asked as if she was genuinely concerned for Tucker.
"I overslept. I had to help William out with setting up his stall and I got exhausted." Tucker did his best to explain to Rin what exactly happened and why he was running late. Rin began to think about it before giving a small smile again.
"Maybe your problem must not be in your pants but in your eyes." Rin teased Tucker. Tucker began to think of what Rin had just told him. What kind of a statement was that when she said that? Tucker knew he didn't want to keep Rin waiting any longer.
"So, want to check out the mural?" Tucker offered Rin as he wanted to see the mural if it was completed. Rin began to think about it, and she nodded.
"Sure thing. It's nearby and if you were looking for me, you would have instinctively gone to this spot." Rin told Tucker as she wasn't impressed. Tucker tried to smile almost if he was trying to hide something. "Follow me if you want to keep up." Rin told Tucker. The two of them walked off to the mural to see what was going on.
Rin and Tucker arrived at the completed mural as two students walked away from it. Tucker was looking at the mural as he was astounded at the completed painting. A steam train pulling passenger cars through a heavy storm. It was heading for an old bridge he didn't know if it was going to collapse.
"This must be beautiful. I can't believe this could be so talented." Tucker was amazed. Rin on the other hand looked away as if she had her feelings hurt. Tucker looked at Rin. "What's the matter Rin, is something bothering you?" Tucker asked her.
"Your kind of don't get the meeting behind it." Rin began. "One moment everything seems to be okay but in the next, it all falls apart like the bridge. You'll fall through the cracks." Rin explained the meeting of the mural. Tucker nodded before he looked at Rin and began speaking again.
"So, you make your paintings based on…?" Tucker asked before Rin cut him off.
"Emotional." Rin replied. "You don't really know me, don't you?" Rin asked Tucker. Tucker knew he couldn't lie his way out of this one like he did with Kenji. He had to straight-forward with this answer.
"I've only been here for a few days, and this is the first time we're chatting about something that isn't class, so I didn't know this about you." Tucker explained to Rin that there was a lot of stuff he still didn't know about her. Rin turned her head to Tucker.
"Perhaps you're right Tucky, we don't know each other." Rin began. Her face turned into a small smile before she began speaking again. "We still have a whole day to get to know each other." Tucker nodded as Rin was ready to use the day to get to know her friend a bit more.
"Well, where should we head now?" Tucker asked Rin. Rin paused as she began reading on what her instincts were trying to tell her.
"I'm hungry, let's find some food." Rin told Tucker. The two of them began to walk off together as they were going to head for the nearest food stand, they could find. Tucker just hoped he was going to bump into William and have a chat with him.
Tucker and Rin made their way to what seemed to be the food stand that was in the middle of the junction. The two stalls seemed to be hand and hand. Steam was rising from one of the stalls as pots and pans were cooking food away. The blind students were unpacking all of the ingredients while the ones that could see were busy cooking the food away. Tucker spotted William working the juice stall and he waved Tucker over. Tucker walked over to him as he was curious to see what his dorm neighbor wanted.
"Tuck, you're finally here, what took you so long?" William asked Tucker while he was busy tending to a couple of customers. He took the Yen and stored it away in a metal box.
"I overslept. I wanted to go attend but Kenji decided to block my way and told me that his fort wasn't finished, and he needed it to hide us from the supposed Feminists, I didn't believe him, and I only said yes to get him out of the way." Tucker did his best to explain what happened and why he had to lie. William nodded before he began to speak again.
"Listen Tuck, if you want Kenji to get out of your way, take my word for it, if he asks you something, just say yes and he'll be out of your way. Then don't do what he asks of you." William explained to Tucker what he should do the next time he ran into Kenji and the latter needed a favor from him.
"Okay I got you." Tucker sighed, why didn't he think of this before?
"Good. Like I said before, I don't believe in any of the crap Kenji is spewing out of that mouth of his. What Feminists, there aren't any girls that are going to take over the world." William ranted a bit on why he disliked him.
"I kind of believe you on that." Tucker nodded as he believed what his friend had just said. Rin looked on as the smell of the food was getting to her nose.
"I need to take on fuel if the engines are going to continue to run, what are we going to get?" Rin asked Tucker if they were going to get food. Tucker realized that he was right. He needed to tend to Rin.
"Oh, I need to be with my friend, it was nice chatting with you." Tucker told William that he needed to go. William nodded before he began speaking again.
"I'll be here all day so let me know when you need a drink." William told Tucker that there was no need to worry. Rin walked up to the stand as someone was working behind it. Lilly popped out her head to see what was going on.
"Hello there, can I help you with something?" Lilly asked, Rin did her best to a few yen from her pocket with her feet which she held in a packet with her mouth. Lilly took the money.
"Can we have a few dumplings please?" Rin asked. Lilly took out the money and began counting up the appropriate amount of money she was going to need to make the dumplings. She handed the packet back to Rin once she had finally got the right amount that she needed.
"Sure, want me to bring it to you since you can't normally do it on your own?" Lilly offered Rin to help her out with the escorting of the food. Rin began to think about it for a moment before she began speaking.
"Sure." Rin sighed. Lilly nodded before she went ahead to give the order to be made. Tucker had found a spot to sit while he was ordering drinks from the stand and thus did not hold up the line. Rin went over and sat down next to him on the bench. "So how are you enjoying yourself so far?"
"I can't say it's boring, but I hopefully see some excitement." Tucker began. "Hopefully we can bump into Eleanor and see what she's up to. I bet she had gotten herself an earlier start than me." Tucker decided to make a bet on that. Rin nodded while grabbing a cup herself with her feet.
"Well, I can say for certain that we bumped into each other in the art room. We exchanged a short conversation before I asked her about you. Eleanor seemed absent minded and didn't want to talk about you." Rin explained to Tucker about what happened when they first met. Tucker felt a bit left out as Rin was his friend and Eleanor his little sister. He felt like a third wheel to this.
"Why though?" Tucker asked as he seemed puzzled, why wouldn't Eleanor talk about him.
"I didn't ask. Eleanor Kagami just walked away from me." Rin explained to Tucker that she meant that his little sister had decided to walk away from her. Tucker felt a bit hurt. "Anyways, this is cherry right?" Rin asked while taking a sip of the drink.
"Yep, it is." Tucker told Rin. Lilly came over with the bowl of dumplings and a couple of chopsticks to share them. Tucker took a pair and picked up a dumpling. He then gently fed it to Rin. "Open wide." Rin takes a bite from the dumpling before she chews it up. She swallowed before eating the rest of the dumpling.
"These are good, shredded chicken, peas, carrots." Rin described the taste. She grabbed a pair of chopsticks with her feet before she plucked a dumpling up and began to feed herself. "I can take it myself, thanks for feeding me." Rin told Tucker. Tucker giggled as he takes a dumpling and began to eat it. He giggled as he was spending time with the friend that he was the fondest of. After a few minutes or so, they finished the bowl of dumplings and handed the bowl back to Lilly. Lilly nodded before waving them farewell.
"Have a nice rest of your day." Lilly told Tucker and Rin. Tucker waved back with his bandaged hand and arm. They were now off to find Eleanor and Hisao.
After a few minutes of walking around, they stumbled upon them or rather Eleanor found her brother.
"Hisao, may I ask a question?" Eleanor asked Hisao as she wanted to ask him something.
"Sure, what is it?" Hisao asked Eleanor what she needed to ask him.
"What does it feel like to have a full ten fingers?" Eleanor asked. She held her hands up for Hisao to look them over. Hisao began to read as he realized that one of her hands had just three instead of the usual five fingers.
"Well, a normal hand has five fingers, I guess you have had a bit of damage done to you." Hisao began. He began rubbing the damaged part of Eleanor's left hand with his thumb. Eleanor winced as it began to hurt.
"That hurts Hisao." Eleanor admitted. Hisao takes his hands away from her as he was worried that he might have done something to cause injury.
"I'm sorry Eleanor." Hisao apologized while he was trying his best to be gentle with her. Eleanor extended her other hand before she spoke again.
"My right hand is the only one you could feel. Much like Tucker's…" Eleanor paused as her brother and Rin came into sight. "I wasn't expecting you to bump into me and Hisao." Hisao turned to Tucker and walked up to him.
"Hey there Tuck, how are you enjoying the festival so far?" Hisao asked him if he was having a good time.
"I'm certainly enjoying myself today so far. Nice of you to ask." Tucker answered. Hisao nodded before he smiled a bit. He began speaking again.
"Have you played any of the games so far?" Hisao would ask Tucker. Tucker began to think about it before he began speaking.
"Not yet but do you think I will win something?" Tucker asked Hisao if he was going to have good luck. Hisao nodded before he began to think. He began speaking again.
"I think you will win something today. Just relax your mind and find out what you want to do. Don't over-think yourself so much, otherwise you'll lose." Hisao tried his best to give some advice to Tucker about the games. Tucker began to think about it and nodded. Rin interjected into the conversation before she began speaking.
"Do you know where the fried dough-ball stand is?" Rin asked. She definitely was in the mood for a snack. Hisao began to think before he began speaking.
"I think we were coming up to Lilly and the stand is a little down the path you're walking on, just go straight." Hisao gave them directions on where they needed to go. Rin nodded as she was thankful for the directions Hisao gave them.
"Thanks again." Rin told Hisao. Hisao and Eleanor nodded before they began walking to Lilly with Tucker and Rin heading in the opposite direction. Tucker waved Hisao goodbye before he and Eleanor were gone.
Rin purchased a bag full of dough-balls covered with white powdered sugar. The bag looked like it was seen through, drenched with cooking oil. She held onto the bag with her mouth as Tucker took it from her so she could speak.
"A little something for us if we need it." Rin told Tucker. Tucker opened the bag as there were a bunch of golden-brown dough-balls covered with powdered sugar. Suddenly someone was running up to them, her metal legs hitting the pavement as she weaved in and out between people. She came to a stop before standing beside them.
Katawa Shoujo- Standing Tall
"Are you going to eat those?" Emi would ask Rin and Tucker. Tucker tried his best to think about it while Rin began to speak for him.
"Yes, we got them as a snack." Rin answered for Tucker who seemed to be stuck in thought. Emi looked at them as her face seemed to form a pout.
"You shouldn't be eating those? You know how unhealthy they are for you to eat?" Emi asked as if she was trying to scare away the customers from the stands. Rin grabbed a dough-ball covered in powdered sugar and she decided to take a bite from it. "What did we say about junk food?" Rin would ask them if Tucker had any idea.
"I think you're talking to the wrong person." Tucker did his best to speak. Emi looked at him as if she was being talked to.
"Some nerve to be talking to me. How do you know you don't have a bad heart?" Emi asked Tucker if he knew what his condition was.
"I just have a bad arm, not a bad heart. If I had a bad heart, I would have been dead." Tucker tried his best to explain to Emi about what he truly meant. Emi looked at him as if she had been bothered.
"Look what you might do, I might as well be running in circles to convince people to look out for their health. I guess I have to look elsewhere." With a huff, Emi took off as she began sprinting in another direction. Rin finished her dough-ball before she spoke.
"Emi is joking most of the time, what she says means no harm. Sometimes you might have to look at it with a smile." Rin did her best to explain to Tucker about what was happening. Tucker nodded before grabbing a dough-ball from the bag, this one wasn't covered in snow like sugar that blanketed a mountain top. Tucker took a bite out of it as it wasn't overly sweet, but it certainly was oily. "How does it taste?" Rin asked while she was figuring out what to do about it.
"It's fine, nothing too bad." Tucker told Rin about it. Rin nodded before she was going to take another one. Two students then walked up to them, and Tucker wondered who they were going to be. He was hoping it wasn't Shizune and Misha coming to them. The two of them stopped before the first girl began to speak.
"Ahh Tucker, I didn't realize you were up and about." She began. Tucker looked up to see who was talking to her. The two girls were Natsume and Naomi.
"Natsume, I didn't know you were attending the festival, what are you doing out here?" Tucker asked as he was curious to see what was going on.
"Just enjoying the day as much as you are." Natsume replied. Natsume gathered her composure before she began speaking again. "Anyways Tucker, you want to play one of the festival games with us? We came here looking for you after we ran into Hisao, and he told us that you didn't win anything on the day of that accident." Tucker began to think about it, play a game? Was this going to be a repeat of the events that caused him to have his accident in the first place? Could he take the risk and roll the dice for a good outcome? All of these questions were running through his head. He tried to figure out what Natsume was trying to set him up for.
"Sure." Tucker smiled; he accepted the challenge. Natsume nodded as she was happy.
"Good. Come with me, it's your lucky day." Natsume instructed him and Rin to follow them. Naomi picked up the bag of dough-balls as she was going to hold onto them for Rin. The four of them arrived at a stand as there were so many prizes lining the edges, in the center of it was a stand with what seemed to be racing horses numbered 1-10. 1 being at the top and 10 being at the bottom. The student working at the stand noticed Tucker and Natsume sitting at numbers 1 and 2. Natsume slid the Yen over as she was paying for the both of them. The man nodded before a single ball rolled over to them. Tucker was a little confused.
"How does this game work?" Tucker asked. Natsume looked at him before she began explaining.
"You need to get your horse to the finish line to win, and the only way to do that is to score the balls in the holes, depending on which color hole your ball lands in, the horse will go that distance, Red is 10, yellow is 25 and Green is 50. Get 250 to win." Natsume explained to Tucker how this game was going to work. Tucker nodded before he grabbed the ball.
"You're on." Tucker told Natsume. The man at the stand waved his flag down signaling them to go.
Tucker rolled the ball into the yellow hole as his horse galloped ahead. Natsume's horse galloped forward twice the distance as Tucker got nervous, the ball came back to them as Tucker grabbed the ball again and rolled it. It landed in the green hole as his horse went forward again. Natsume was unlucky as Tucker now had the lead over her. Tucker grabbed the ball again and rolled the ball along again, it again landed in the green hole as the two racehorses galloped forward, closer to the finish line.
"Come on Tucker, you can do this!" Rin called out giving Tucker some courage to win. Tucker grabbed the ball again and rolled it, Rin's word threw him off balance as it landed in a yellow hole. Not what he was hoping for as Natsume's horse was catching up. The ball rolled to Tucker. He grabbed it and flung the ball up, and it landed in the green hole again. One more time. Tucker thought he needed one more if he was going to win. Tucker grabbed the ball as this last shot was on him. The ball rolled along the path as Tucker was hoping that the ball was going to land in the spot, he wished it would land in. The ball landed in the green hole as the horse galloped ahead to the finish line. The man nodded before he looked at Tucker with excitement. Natsume was close but she had been unlucky.
"You won Tucker." Natsume told him. The man reached over before handing Tucker a stuffed cat as his prize. Tucker looked at the cat, it laid on its belly with the paws splayed out in front of it and behind it. It had nice brown eyes and a long tail too. Tucker was amazed.
"What color is it?" Tucker asked Natsume if she had any ideas. Natsume scratched her head before Rin cut them off and began speaking.
"Calico." Rin told Tucker with a small smile. Tucker looked at the prize he had.
"What's a calico?" Tucker asked as he wasn't entirely sure.
"Calico pattern is white with orange and black patches. I've seen Calico cats before, so I know what they look like." Rin explained to Tucker what his cat looked like. Tucker felt the cat with his good hand. He definitely liked the feeling.
"It's so soft. I don't know who wants to keep it?" Tucker asked as the cat seemed to melt into his arms. Rin began speaking next.
"You should Tucker, it's your prize and you won it." Rin explained that the cat was his to keep. Tucker felt amazed, he managed to win something, and he felt proud of it. He decided to carry the cat with him.
"Hey Natsume and Naomi, we're going to go find more stuff to do, want to come with us?" Tucker offered to have the two of them follow around with them.
"Sure thing. We don't see each other that much." Naomi said with a smile to her face, her voice was a bit loud, but Tucker was able to hear it normally. The four of them began to walk off together.
They arrived back at the mural before they sat down together and began to speak. Tucker was still holding onto the prize that he won just some time before. Rin and Natsume were sitting by his sides.
"So, do you think we're going to enjoy the time we're going to have together? I've only been here for a few days." Tucker asked Natsume and Naomi if they had any ideas on what they were going to do. Rin looked on as Tucker was losing a bit of interest in her.
"If you want to join the newspaper club, you're more than welcome to. We've been looking for members for quite some time now." Natsume began. She continued to look at the horizon while resting her head on the mural. "We've been thinking about getting Hanako into the group but we don't know if it's still too early to recruit her." Tucker nodded. Rin was busy eating her snack and offering some to the others. They took it and began to enjoy themselves.
"Could be. It still could be too early for me. I think out of all the people I've ever seen around here. I'm still not sure what club to join even after a few days or so." Tucker told them as he was still unsure of what to do. The golden rays of sun were hitting them as the sky went from a blue color to a golden and pinkish color. The sun was beginning to set.
"I think the sun is going to hide away for the night." Rin told Tucker and his friends in a nonchalant type of manner. Tucker nodded before Naomi got up and decided to go get drinks.
"Well, everything has to rise and fall in the end Rin. Even the sun and who knows, it might rise back up and say good morning." Tucker did his best to explain to Rin what she was talking about. Tucker sighed. At least he didn't see Misha and Shizune today so that was a big plus.
"You got to see a lot of stuff today and the sun will keep appearing to make its face every day. I don't know what we should talk about." Rin asked. Her mind was blank like one of her new canvases without paint on it. Tucker tried his best to think about it, but his mind ended up blank.
"I can't think of anything either." Tucker told Rin; He didn't know what to say. Rin nodded before she relaxed on her mural.
"Painting is hard work and so is having fun. I don't know if we will be able to replicate this again for a while." Rin admitted. Natsume turned her head to them, and she began speaking.
"Summer break is coming up in a few weeks and we'll decide what to do then." Natsume added. Naomi came back, she was carrying four bottles of water before setting them down. Tucker helped open Rin's first before he opened his own. He picked up the bottle and began to drink it.
"What do you plan on doing?" Tucker asked Natsume.
"Taking a trip around Japan. We start from the top and then head to the bottom." Natsume explained to Tucker. People passed the mural and didn't pay any attention to them. "It's a trip that lasts a week but it's the best week we can have." Natsume explained that they make the annual trip around Japan.
"I don't know if that's a trip I'm willing to take but I would like some time to consider your offer." Tucker said with a bit of skepticism. Naomi laughed a bit before Natsume began speaking again.
"We still have a few weeks to get through so take your time." Natsume told Tucker. Rin looked at him as if she was ready to fall asleep. Natsume began speaking again: "Want to head onto the roof top for the fireworks? It's the best spot we can go to see." Natsume offered.
"Sure thing, I wonder what the roof is like at nighttime." Rin made the move to answer. Natsume giggled again.
"Meet us up there in an hour." Natsume explained. She and Naomi got up and left. Tucker and Rin knew they had somewhere to go.
The hour would pass as the sky went from a golden hue to a darkened indigo. Tucker and Rin made their way onto the roof top as they spotted Natsume looking out ahead. Tucker was helping Rin while holding his prize.
"You came. Naomi said she's on her way and looks like it's just us that are up here tonight." Natsume began. She sat on the gravel as Tucker and Rin sat down next to her.
"Hopefully she shouldn't be too late." Tucker told Natsume. Tucker heard the footsteps coming up and turned to see who it was. It was Naomi who was carrying a plastic bag with her.
"I got us some candy to share." Naomi announced. Tucker laid back a bit to relax while Rin looked at him.
"I feel like the sky is a canvas at nighttime." Rin began. Tucker was looking up at the stars as he began speaking too.
"An Indigo canvas with the stars lighting up and the moon being the light." Tucker began. "Have you painted something like this before?"
"I have, quite a few times actually." Rin told Tucker. Natsume and Naomi were relaxing while Tucker and Rin continued to speak to each other.
"Does it seem different every time?" Tucker asked.
"Yes, it does, depending on what Shinichi wants from me." Rin told Tucker about it. Natsume looked up to the sky as she heard the squeal of rockets flying into the sky.
"It's starting." Natsume told Rin and Tucker. The four students looked up into the sky as the rockets began to explode into a dazzle of colors.
Katawa Shoujo- Aria de E'toile
Tucker was being taken away by the fireworks. The rockets exploding in the sky giving off their bright stream of colors. He was blown away by this. The starry night canvas was being splattered by paint from the fireworks, after a moment or so, the paint would fade away to the indigo as if it was a fade away type of paint. Rin looked up as she must've been awestruck by the fireworks while Tucker did his best to figure out what exactly to make out of this.
"I can't say this must be beautiful." Rin began speaking. Tucker was looking at the sky as she was smiling at the sight.
"I can't say that it isn't more beautiful than someone such as yourself." Tucker admitted. Tucker felt something hug his waist a bit. He looked down to see Rin's leg had wrapped around him as if she was trying to hug him. Tucker looked to his left where Rin was sitting to see that Rin was attempting to pet the stuffed cat, they had with one of her arm stumps. Tucker began to think about what this could mean: Could it be that Rin was turning into something he wasn't expecting it to turn into or was this going to grow into something different. He decided to wait about this as he continued to watch the fireworks.
"Beautiful night is it right?" Natsume asked while she was eating some of the candy.
"I can't say that it is not." Naomi replied. Natsume scooted some of the candy over to Tucker. He took it and began feeding it to Rin. Rin happily accepted the offer as she was more than happy to take the candy and eat it. Natsume turned to Tucker, and she began speaking to him.
"Hey Tucker." Natsume began. Tucker turned his head to his friend as she began speaking again. "If Ernest is holding a game of cards on a weekend, would you go to it?" Natsume asked Tucker if he was up for a card game.
"Does he usually do this?" Tucker asked curiously. He looked back as the fireworks cried before exploding in the air.
"He does, every Saturday too. Depending on where he does it, would you go?" Natsume asked if he was going to spend time with Misha's friend.
"It depends on what I want to do for the weekend. I will try my best to attend the first couple of games." Tucker told Natsume about his plans. Natsume nodded.
"Great. We'll see you when we can." Natsume smiled. Tucker looked to his left as Rin was now on top of him. She definitely felt warm as if she was cozy to him.
"Tucker." Rin began. "Thanks for hanging out with me today." Rin yawned as she was getting tired. Tucker did his best to hold her close with the bad arm he had. "Also, your cat must be soft."
"Thanks again Rin." Tucker told Rin with a smile. He looked ahead as the last few firework's cries were heard as the last few explosions went off. It was the end of the show, a show that went on for fifteen minutes. When the show was over. Rin was the first to get up as Tucker got up next along with Natsume and Naomi. They began to head off the roof before saying goodbye to each other.
"I'll see you on Monday." Natsume told Tucker goodbye. Tucker waved goodbye back to Natsume and Naomi as he walked away from them. They got back to the girl's dorm where the attendants of the festival were wrapping up and all the stands were closing shop. Tucker stood beside Rin, holding the cat he had before he decided to play some tricker with it.
"Goodnight Rin." Tucker told her while he waved the cat's paw. Rin leaned over and hugged him with the arm stumps she had.
"I'll see you later." Rin smiled a bit before she walked away. Tucker walked back to his dorm as he was thankful for the day. Not only did he get lucky, but he was also able to spend his day with some of the people he seemed to enjoy.
Once arriving back at his dorm. He cleaned himself up and changed his clothes. He went back into his dorm and spotted where he placed the cat, it was near the end of his bed. He looked at the clock, it was nearly midnight when he got back. He shuts the lights off and pulls the covers over him. Today was certainly a fun day.
End of Act 1.
[A/N]: A neat way to wrap up the first act, the festival where Tucker managed to win something while at the same time, getting to know his friends a bit more. What lays ahead for the second act is anybody's guess. I hope I have the other three acts planned out before I finish the story. But I digress. See you in the next chapter where the second act begins.
