Episode 6-Crusader Calling
Several weeks has passed since Dusk Claw attacked the city, It was a crisp night at the industrial plant, and as usual, a bad guy was there to cause trouble.
"I'm here." He said as he was talking on the phone.
Good, proceed with your mission, Temple, and give them a good quake
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
Don't worry, payment in advance and in full.
"Good, let's rock,"
Temple did a thunderclap and caused the building to collapse and then the police show up and armed their pistols.
"Freeze!" One of the cops said.
Temple sends a shockwave right at forcing to dodge it.
"Officers need backup, repeat backup." They radio Clay Morrgntion.
"Don't worry it's on its way," he said.
"Hoo-yah!" Temple exclaimed as Phoenix came down and kick him only for him to deflect it. "Howdy, the name's Temple, what's yours?"
"Phoenix and I don't suppose you not with the wrecking crew!"
"Please, I am the wrecking crew, and what happens to buddies decide to go solo?"
"Nope, she decided to bring someone to the party!" As Sonic came by and did a Spin Attack, Tails kick him.
Temple, I'm waiting, have you completed your mission?
Temple did a seismic blast sending all three of them back, then literally leaped out of there.
"Set up a perimeter," Clay said as the cops surrounded the place. "If Mr. Quake so much as breaths I want someone there to tell me what he had for lunch.
Clay walked further into the plant.
"It's okay to show yourself, neither or your friends on our most wanted list."
"Sorry, a force of habit," Phoenix as she, Sonic, and Tails approached him.
"This is the third building in a week that Temple has taken out and we still can't nail the pattern," Tails said.
"But, we do have the motive, he's working for someone," Sonic said. "I borrow his phone from him. Maybe Cyber Witch can trace it?" He boosted out of there.
"How fast can he go?" Clay asked.
"I'm not sure," Tails simply said.
At the Rainboom hideout, Twilight was hard at working tracing a signal throughout Temple's phone.
"Got anything that will lead us to the source of the messages?" Sonic asked.
"The Rain-Boom Wave's intercepting a live message, " Twilight said.
Temple, I have a new target for you. I want you to destroy the corporate headquarters of Chrologene. Its destruction must be total.
"Whoa, that's isn't good," Sonic said. "We need to get over there quick!"
...
...
Temple had made it to Chlrogene.
"And here I thought earthquake struck without warning," Sonic said as he and Cyber Witch were behind him.
"You two just dialed 'D' for destruction." Temple charged its hands only Cyber Witch to throw a Freeze Sparke Star and freezing them, then he charges right them forcing both to go the other way.
Sonic kept him busy by striking him at high speed, Temple back away only for Cyber Witch to throw an Electro Sparke Star that temporarily shock him.
"Give it, yet?" Cyber Witch asked.
Temple ignored her and then did a seismic blast to the ground that Cyber Witch and Sonic lost their footing, allowing him to escape.
"I hate when jerks used sound as a weapon,' Cyber Witch said.
Very much later...
"The Rainboom Wave traced the messages to their source, Petal Dancer," Tails said looking at the location. "I know that name, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo, and been hanging around with her."
"I do hope, that the girls are not somehow involved in this," Fluttershy said being concerned for them.
"Same do I. Look like it's picking up another live message."
I have a new target for you, the Chrologene research labs. It's located...
"Yeah, I got it, it's near the corner from me, before we discuss that there seems to be a little problem with the money transfer."
I'm sorry, but didn't you just blow the last job? Listen, Temple, if you're getting instead paid at all, you better get here right here and now...
Petal Dancer cut off the call with Temple. "Damn it, I said here."
"Temple?' Apple Bloom asked.
"Is a friend from homeroom?" Scootaloo added.
"Looks like you caught me red-handed, girls," Petal admitted.
"Did your twigs snap, you hire a thug!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.
"You'd be surprised what you can find on the internet."
"It's not too late, you have to stop this before someone gets hurt, or worst the cops take you away."
"And here I thought we were peas in a pod then again, I shouldn't trust three do-gooders."
"The way works, boss," Temple said as he came out of the shadows and grabs Petal's computer. "Is when you don't pay... you pay."
Then he smashes it and approaches them.
"Woah, their mister, we don't have to go to brute force," Sweetie Belle said and her voice send him back. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry."
"You going to regret short stuff," Temple said as caused the ground to rumble.
"Hold on, girls, I got this," Scottaloo as she grabs Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom at high speed. "Holy cow I'm fast just like Rainbow Dash!"
"Look out for a wall!" Apple Bloom said as they crash into the wall knocking them out cold.
Inside the lab, Temple slams the ground making the bridge that Petal Dancer was on, fall to the ground.
"Any last words," Temple charged his hands.
"I have some," Rock Roller said then punch from behind that lost his balance.
Temple broke a pillar and caused a steel case of toxic waste to fall on Rock Roller, she used her Strenght and caught it and set it down. Both of them got up close and personal and traded punch after kick.
"Let's see if you dodge this!" Temple said as he straight for Rock Roller only to miss causing the second vat of toxic sludge to fall on unconscious Petal Dancer then Rock Roller knocked him out.
...
"Is she going to be okay?" Apple Bloom asked as she and her friends saw Temple being carried off to police while Petal Dancer was being carried into an ambulance.
"We'll know more after the detox procedure," Rock Roller said then vanish.
As the ambulance was taking Petal Dancer to the hospital, a couple of roots came out of nowhere and grabbed it, and took the sleeping Petal Dancer into the forest. Hours later, the police arrived and were talking to the drivers. Among them, Cyber Witch came and picked up a leaf.
...
"What with the green thumb?" Sunset asked Twilight seeing the biology books out.
"This leave-behind from the crash is only lead to finding out where Petal Dancer and so far it's not garden variety." Twilight saw something unusual.
...
Meanwhile at Crusaders Clubhouse
"That could've been us," Apple Bloom said feeling defeated. "I can't believe she would hire someone to destroy the labs."
"And instead she winds up in the hospital," Sweetie Belle then noticed something. "Uh, girls..."
Suddenly the tree started to move on its own.
"Holy crap," Scootaloo exclaimed. "This is unreal, how on earth a plant is doing that?"
"I'm not sure, but going to get Rarity," Sweetie Belle opens the door only to find a bunch of roots at the front door.
"Prepare to feel the wrath of Mother Nature! Nice to see you again, girls."
"Petal? What the heck happened to you?'
"Just a fab makeover, Green is the new red and I'm gonna use my powers to avenge crimes against nature. We can do it together, just the four of us and betting Chlorogene will listen this time."
"That sounds great and all but there's one problem your a plant," Apple Bloom stated.
"More of a rose, Roseblade to be exact. Think about it." Roseblade left them.
"What will do, call the police?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Then she'll behind bars unless we help the Rainbooms without them knowing about us." Scootaloo gets an idea.
...
"Tonight marks the end for Chrologene," Roseblade came through the front door. "So get ready because it's hostile takeover time."
She caused the tree in the place to grow big and its roots covered most of the place then the police arrive.
"Consider the fate of Chrogene a warning, Canterlot," Roseblade threatened them. "Mother Nature just got herself some muscle."
"Petal, you're not well," Pheonix came in. "Let me help you."
"Thanks for the offer, but I have all the help I need."
Roseblade fired two thorns at Phoenix, she let a small flame destroy them making Roseblade growl and then summon spike after spike of roots at her, only to dodge them, Phoenix then did a somersault kick to her. Without her noticing, the tree approached from behind.
"Pheonix, look out!" An orange blur came out of nowhere and kicked the tree the blur was wearing Rainbow's suit design but with orange and purple. "Hiya."
"Well, look the cat drag in, another brat in a costume," Roseblade groan a bit.
"FYI, it's Rocket Blade, and I'm not alone!"
Then out of nowhere two heroines appeared and let Rocket Blade and Pheonix out.
"Who are you two?" Phoenix asked.
"Ground Breaker."
"Harmonic. And Roseblade, time to give up."
"Tried that, she's not interested."
"Maybe she is interested in this," Harmonic let out a sonic screech making her winced a bit. "Should have given you a heads-up."
"Ya, think," Ground Breaker glared at her.
"The small ones have lots to learn, hot stuff, teach them how to survive a fall, yet?"
Roseblade pushed all of them off the building only for Sonic to save them before they fall.
"Thanks," Ground Breaker thanked him.
"Hey, Pheonix, what happened to Garden Gone Wild?" Sonic asked.
"She's gone," Phoenix said then turned to the three young heroes. "We liked the help, but this ain't the perfect time for it."
"I think we handle ourselves pretty good," Rocket Blade being confident.
"There is a difference between confidence and cockiness, Scoots."
"Oh, come on, how did you it was me."
...
"Afternoon, commish," Roseblade arrived at the blockade set by the police.
"Petal Dancer?" Clay recognizes her. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Trying to make the world a better place for plants!"
Roseblade emphasizes her point and most of them.
"Freeze, Petal Dancer," Cly armed his pistol. "It doesn't have to be this way."
"Actually, it does." Roseblade tied him up. "Because the only law Roseblade answers to are the law of the jungle."
Both Roseblade and captured Commissioner went underground.
"You're kidding me," Twilight said. "The CMC has powers that are not magic-based!?"
"I don't how but they do, and right now, none of them have any idea what they're getting into," Sunset while flying through the city. "We're going to tell the others."
"That could wait, The Rainboom Wave reports that Clay Morrgintion has been abducted by Roseblade."
"Could use, your assistance."
"On my way."
"Isn't nature fascinating?" Roseblade asked an upsidedown Clay. "For instance, all that struggling your doing is only letting that carnivorous plant know it's captured food. Let me show you."
Roseblade grabs his glasses and drops them in the plant stomach acid.
"Cool, huh?"
"Don't blame yourself, Scotts," Apple Bloom reassured her.
"I know, we failed to stop Roseblade, and our secret identities have been blown, what else could wrong?" Scottaloo asked.
"How about that," Sweetie Belle pointed to the TV showing the commissioner as was captured.
"On second thought..."
"Are you sure this is the place?" Pheonix asked they walked into Roseblade's Lair.
"I was able to put a tracer on him so he wouldn't know is working so yeah," Cyber Witch replied then saw him. "Crap! We don't have time!"
"Guys, it's a trap!" Clay warned them then hoisted them in the air.
"Well, well, a couple of weeds in the garden," Roseblade saw them. "Whack them, boys!"
Then plant golems surrounded them.
"It's a good thing a can bring the heat," Pheonix went into Aether form.
"And I got the gardening tools," Cyber Witch armed her Sparkle Claws.
No, this is not deja vu, this is where we began, and if you remember correctly, both Pheonix and Cyber Witch were kicking butt, only for Roseblade to snatch them up, and use her mind-control mojo on them. Me and the girls made our triumphant as the Crusaders, rescue the commish, and stop them from killing us. So, know you know how we got into this mess, watch to find out how do get out.
"Okay, girls, any idea?" Rocket Blade asked them.
"I do," Ground Breaker said. "They just need someone to knock some sense back into them."
Ground Breaker ran to them a gave a full-force punch to their head to regain their consciousness.
"Why do you feel I just ran over by a truck?" Cyber Witch asked feeling a little groggy.
"Hello, remember us?" Ground Breaker asked. "Sorry for doing that."
"It's okay," Phoenix said.
"And their back and hopefully before the commish becomes plant food," Harmonic said looking at him.
"I'll get him!" Rocket Blade made a run for it.
"Wait," Cyber Witch tried to warn her but it was too late as Rocket Blade was captured.
"Amateur!" Roseblade said then focus on the others.
"Come on, Focus," Rocket Blade drew a thunderbolt a fired at the pot causing the acid to drip out. "Bull's eye. All in the wrist."
"Hey, Roseblade," Cyber Witch grabs her attention. "Catch."
She threw multiple Freeze Sparkle Star only to miss.
"You can't ice me if you can't hit me!" Roseblade avoided them all then made her drop one right to Ground Breaker's feet then tied to a tree. "Good thing about plants they love water."
"Over here," Ground Breaker hides in the bushes holding her gear which Cyber Witch smile. "Here's your medicine!"
She threw in the water then ice froze Roseblade in place.
Very much later...
"I owe you three thanks," Clay thanked them.
"You're welcome, Commissioner, but we gotta go!" Rocket Blade thank him and then exited out of the greenhouse.
"So you're still planning to tell the others," Harmonic asked them.
"Is not every day when a child pulls off a big rescue," Pheonix said. "But it's your call if you want to tell them."
"That would be a no," Ground Breaker said then they left.
As you can see, everything ended nicely, okay maybe ended isn't the right word, because this was only the beginning.
