Episode 9- Underground Part 1
Hey, my name is Sweetie Belle, I'm a member of the Crusaders and things were perfect. Me and my friends Apple Bloom and Sctooaloo, live in Canterlot City with our friends. Had great a sister, and loved all things like singing and superheroes. But as Rarity would say 'Life is full of surprises and she was right then out of nowhere villains popped out of nowhere. But then the Rainbooms show up and stop them heck even they saved me one time when I found it was Rarity and her friends, crazy right?
Then when Dusk Claw created his Legion of Chaos, things got intense. Then most of the dangerous villains were on the loose. But in the end, Dusk Claw was sent to prison, and everyone went back to normal but not quite when Dusk Claw attacked the city, we pitched in to help with getting the people, we experienced superpowers and became superheroes ourselves, Rocket Blade, Harmonic, and Ground Breaker.
But only Sunset knows our secret, the others don't know our secret. So far, we manage to do well as me and the girls and move to Ponyville,
But I got to you tell you. Can't wait to see, what the future holds.
Our story begins as Sweetie Belle has just exited the subway and got a text from Rarity telling her to bring groceries. She put on her headphones and listen to her music.
As she walked she help out a person put a couch in a pickup truck.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome." Sweetie Belle replied then saw the mural created by Paint Brush. "That is cool!"
"Oh, Sweetie, like what you see?" She asked.
"Heck yeah! Is that all the Rainbooms?"
"You bet, Pheonix, Cyber Witch, Torando, Vine, Sparkplug, Rock Roller, and Ice Breaker and were about to put the Siren Squad and the Shadow Seven."
"What about the new guys, The Crusaders?"
"Them, maybe, but the others they're unique, y'know."
"Yeah, I know hey, do you happen to know where the Bodge is?"
"Sure, bright yellow sign, down the block. Can't miss it."
"Thanks, nice work by the way but just leave some room for them just in case."
Just as Sweetie Belle approached the store her phone ranged.
"A voicemail from, Sunset Shimmer" she looked at it.
"Hey, Sweetie Belle, I just let you know the prison convey to the Cellar is about down and I can use your help if things go south."
Realizing that this was a big moment Sweetie Belle left the store and slipped into her costume. As Harmonic she flew above the streets on her hoverboard that her pony self cutie mark.
"Hey Phoenix, I got your voicemail, did I miss it?"
"Not yet, they're still securing a couple of inmates?"
"I bet it feels good; seeing all those guys who escaped prison again, going back to Blackgate."
"Real good, Blackgate is way more advanced now; not to mention, since Jestro won the election, the council has been given the 'okay' to fund the Havencraft facility. All those people who didn't ask to be this way, can receive the help and care that they need; and not just a padded jail cell."
"Let's hope this helps. I'm almost there, see you soon." Sweetie Belle then hung up the call, so she could focus on hovering
As Sweetie Belle kept passing through the buildings, another thought came to her mind; she said to herself, "I should call Rarity and let her know I'll be late." She used her mask again to make the call.
Her sister answered, "Hey Sweetie, you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine; but the department store was out of eggs. I gonna check the mall downtown."
Okay, but avoid the council estate; that prison convoy is making traffic a nightmare."
"Okay, I'll see you at dinner, Rarity." As Sweetie to Phoenix's location. "Wow, this whole secret identity thing is kind of stressful. Okay focused, don't screw this up."
Sweetie Belle landed her hoverboard on her roof waiting for the fire-embedded hero.
"Phoenix you're there?" Harmonic asked.
A voice was then heard from behind her, "Just downing some rocket fuel." She turned to see Phoenix drink some coffee.
"Where did you get that?"
"From that sandwich shop just down the road there." She replied, pointing at the shop below them. Something then caught both their attention, a helicopter carrying a large container; the prison transport had begun.
"Aria, Starlight you there?" Pheonix asked.
"Yep," Aria said.
"Read you loud and clear," Galaxy Girl replied.
"Okay, go time." As four girls took to follow they followed the helicopter down the street, below them, prison convoys were moving other inmates.
"Wow, the police really went all out for this one," Harmonic stated.
Phoenix replied, "Yeah, they really don't want anyone to get out again." They both then heard a rumble coming from the container hanging from the chopper. "Especially our guest of honor."
"You mean one of the powerful supervillains is in there?" Galaxy Girl asked.
"Yep, anyone from Glacier, Jawbreaker, hell even, or even a member of the Legion of Chaos could be in there. They both heard another rumble, "Or someone bigger."
But something went wrong, the whole thing started shaking; the inmate inside was taking advantage of the situation and trying to break out.
The pilots of the helicopter were trying to keep the chopper level; but one of them shouted, "Weight balance has been thrown off, we're going down! Brace for impact!"
Aria created quick and used wind powers to catch the chopper before it went down; but all they managed to do was soften the landing, kind of. The helicopter crashed into the street, hitting two of the prison convoys on the road;
"Oh crap!" Harmonic exclaimed fearing what going to happen next.
"Don't worry about it, we just need to contain this before…"
Before Pheonix could finish, the container that was being carried by the chopper was ripped open from the inside; the door fell off like paper, and the inmate marched onto the street.
"…that happens." Pheonix finished.
"Hello, ladies," The inmate greeted them.
Harmonic gasped seeing him. "Zavok."
Zavok was were was wearing the pair of special hand restraints the prison had made for him; two large metal spheres covering his hands, held together by a beam of steel. However, with the power dampener off, he was able to rip them apart.
Also, the two convoys that were hit in the crash were compromised; the inmates inside were able to open the doors.
"I got Zavok, Harmonic, contain the escapees, Galaxy Girl and Aria, get the people to safety," Pheonix told them as she got his back and the siren and the shadowbolt headed away from the site.
As Harmonic contain the escape convicts one of them walked out and it was Cozy Glow, Glacier, and Black Falcon luckily, some of them decide to stay in the convoy.
"Ah, I served the time; now for more crime." Cozy laughed at her rhythm and then activated her jetpack. "Later haters!"
"It's nice to feel the cold again!" Glacier said then walked leaving a frozen trail.
"Now that I'm free," Black Falcon got her wings to work. "Time for my big score!"
"Uh, we got villains escaping!"Harmonic freaked as she kicked a convict until a group.
"We'll round them up later or sooner," Pheonix said. "But could use your help with the Zeti."
"Never seen the big guy up close like this- frickin' nuts!" A convict exclaimed.
"Hell yeah, work of art!" Another one said.
Harmonic turned to see Zavok, smashing his way out of a building, with Pheonix clutching onto his back; they began running down the street, so Harmonic called for her hoverboard and went after them.
So while Phoenix was riding on Zavok's back like a mechanical bull; Harmonic wasn't far behind, following after them. The villain was fast, and Harmonic was finding it hard to keep up; whatever came into Zavok's path, was instantly smashed.
"Uh, Sunset, on a scale of 1-10 how are we doing?" Harmonic asked.
"7 for public safety, 1 for minimizing property damage, Tomorrow's Canterlot Weekly headline's gonna be a doozy."
"If the worse thing we're gonna get out of this is a bad headline; then I'm okay with that."
Zavok continue to smash through the city as Harmonic got in close range.
"I got this!"
"Take it away, cowgirl," Pheonix said as Harmonic was on Zavok's back
"Oh, watch out, the mall!"
But it was too late, the Zeti crashed through the mall's door; a piece of debris knocked Pheonix off, leaving Sweetie Bell to steer the brute away from the people. But that didn't stop him from smashing into signs and marble columns.
"Do have any non-destructive hobbies?" Harmonic asked him while Starlight and Aria reduced the people.
"Playing a good game of Old Maid," Zavok said.
"That sounds... nice."
"The power of life and death..."
Before he could finish that sentence, Harmonic intentionally steered him into a column; destruction was better than hearing language like that. The villain then leaped up to the higher floor, meaning Harmonic had to steer him away from the people; and that's when something in front of them caught her attention.
"Whoa, baby." A baby stroller was right in the path of the brute; Harmonic acted and grapple hook forward from her board and grabbing the stroller, she moved it out of the way as Zavok ran past.
The mother of the baby in the stroller only managed to say, "Thank you." As Harmonic jumped on his back. The hero said, "Don't! Scare! Babies!" Before punching him in the face, causing them both to fall off the higher levels, and back down to the ground floor.
But when the brute got back up, Harmonic landed on his back again as he started running away once more; now they were heading for the other entrance to the mall.
Outside the building, Melvin who was on parole was just gathering supplies for his new lair. Heading to his private own building.
"Thank god, that I'd never join Dusk Claw's Legion of Chaos, they made a mess of my lair, it took me hours to repair the damage they made, but it's worth it..."
Before she could finish that sentence, Zavok came crashing through the mall's entrance and smashed right into the building.
"Hey, Melvin, looking good!" Harmonic replied.
"Very festive," Phoenix follow them
"OH, COME ON, I JUST HAD IT REPAINTED!" Melvin complained. "On the bright side, I can use the space for a gaming hub."
Pheonix did her Flame Spiral and joined Harmonic.
"Okay, enough is enough, we need to stop this guy now." But that's when Pheonix noticed where they were heading next; an old chemical factory.
"Time to heat things up!" Zavok shouted; before running faster into what looked like and giant chemical pumper. Pheonix acted fast, she threw Harmonic off the brute, sending her up to the wall of the building; while she and the villain crashed into the machine, causing a large explosion.
The destruction didn't stop there; Harmonic watched from her vantage point, Juggernaut kept running, with Pheonix still holding onto him.
The two of them crashed into a building, Harmonic came down to the ground; she looked into the hole that the villain had just made, she muttered, "Pheonix? Are you okay?" but there was no answer; aside from the sounds of flames from the recent blast, all was too quiet. "Phe…."
Before she could finish, Pheonix went flying right past her; crashing into another brick wall and falling to the floor, Harmonic ran over to her to see if she was okay.
Phoenix's suit was covered in scorch marks and rips; Harmonic tried to help her up, but she was too weak.
"I'd like to exchange it for a new one." Harmonic turned to see Zavok stepping out of the hole he made. "Ah. This one will do. " He said, pointing at her.
Pheonix managed to say, "Sweetie, get out of here." Her voice was too weak for Zavok to hear Harmonic's real name, she passed out from her injuries.
The villain was about to charge again, this time, heading straight for Sweetie; as he started running again, Sweetie was saying, "Buddy….back the hell…." her hands form, a seismic charge and…. "Off!"
A sonic blast to Zavok's face knocked him to his knees; Harmonic saw the opening, leaped forward, and began punching and kicking him. As a finisher, she walked up his chest and kicked his chin; before jumping backward and pulling herself forwards again with her grapple, kicking him right in the face.
However, Zavok got up again and knocked Harmonic away, he smashed his foot into the ground and broke loose a chunk of concrete; he picked it up and threw it at the hero. But Harmonic created a sonic barrier and send it back.
Now he was mad, the brute charged forward and grabbed Zavok with his giant hand; he slammed her to the ground like a rugby football, which made her bounce back up into the air, allowing Zaovk to kick her into the side of the building. He charged towards her and smashed them both through the wall.
Now inside the generator room of the facility, their fight continued.
Zaovk charged toward Harmonic again, but she had recovered from the crash and was able to jump over him and latch onto his back; she began steering him around the room. Right up until she caused him to crash into the wall; once he was down, Harmonic punched and kicked the air out of him.
When she saw him recover, she jumped back to avoid getting hit; she said to the brute, "You need to pay for all the people you hurt today." She then grabbed a piece of debris with her grapple and threw it at him, knocking him back slightly
Zavok replied, "No, I am the strongest being in the world; you have no right to just lock me away like a common thug!"
The villain knocked her to the ground, he then tried to crush her under his giant fist; however, she caught it before it hit her, and she used all her power to push it away.
"Just accept what you've been doing is wrong and spend a few years in Blackgate to pay for your crimes. If you come in quietly, maybe we can cut some kind of deal with the police."
"Never!" was his reply.
Harmonic grabbed another chunk of rubble and threw it at Zavok, it hit him hard; she started punching and kicking him, and with one final kick, he was pushed against the wall. The villain sat against the wall, but notice a crate next to him; he grabbed it and threw it at the hero.
She dodged the attack and landed in front of the villain, who had already got back up and was ready to charge again; and just as he did, Harmonic jumped over him and latched onto him again. The two of them ran out of the first hole in the wall that was made and stopped outside, in front of where Sunset was sitting.
To finish this guy off; Harmonic jumped off him and latched her chain onto him, she swung around the brute before delivering a powerful kick to the back of his head. This caused Zavok to land face-first on the concrete floor; he was out cold.
When the fight was finished, Harmonic ran over to see if Pheonix was okay; she was starting to get back up when vans started arriving. Around five black vans pulled up to the scene, and emerging from those vans were what looked like soldiers; wearing red body armor.
"Did Chimera get an upgrade?" Galaxy Girl asked.
"I don't think they're Chimera," Aria said.
The logo on the side of the black vans matched the sign on the side of the building site they were at, "TAS Corp"
The red soldiers were holding Chimera-like weapons, and they were all aiming their guns at Zavok; from the third van, came a woman, who looked like she was in charge. The woman noticed the heroes and went over to introduce herself.
"Hello, my name is Amanda Hailey; Head of R&D of TAS Corp Energy."
Pheonix shook her hand; but he then turned the attention back to Juggernaut, "Sorry, I think our ball landed in your yard."
But Amanda replied, "Not a problem, you actually did us a favor; we were planning to tear this building down to put up something new, and now we have a head start." She looked at the brute and explained, "You guys can be on your way, and we'll hold this one for the police."
With that said, she walked away; so our heroes made theirs out of the place.
Just as the sun was going down, Sunset and Sweetie were sitting on the ledge of a rooftop; not wearing their masks, just staring at the city eating pizza.
"Sunset I just want to say I'm sorry for not reacting in time," Sweetie apologized.
"It's okay, Sweetie stuff happens," Sunset explained. "The adrenaline caught up with you. Which reminds me, I'm not going to be around for the next few weeks."
"What? Why?"
"Twilight and I are going to have some girl time with only the two of us, after everything that happens since she and I are a couple and helping the people of Canterlot."
"I'm not sure, that me and the others ready to go solo, I really screw up today."
"But you delivered big time and stopped Zavok and save my bacon."
"It was mere luck."
"Hey, the others and I did this gig for a long time, we all had our bad moments. But that's how you will learn."
She handed Sweetie Belle a box.
"What is it?"
"A little something that Trevor and Tyler whipped up for you and the girls, not sure what is but it's good."
"Thanks, for the gift."
"No worries." She replied. "Well I better get home and finish packing; see ya round, Canterlot's newest heroes." Pheonix jumped off a building and flew off.
Sweetie got on her hoverboard and headed home knowing that she and her friends have became part of the Canterlot hero crew.
As Sweetie Belle, flew home she got a call from Apple Bloom and Scottaloo.
"Hey girls," Sweetie Belle greeted.
"Zavok!? seriously?" Scottaloo asked.
"Yeah, how did you find out?"
"It was all over the news, an anchor helicopter caught the whole chase for the evening news," Apple Bloom explained. "The pics of the fight were nuts."
"Were are guys?"
"Oh, Rarity let us in, then we got some fresh air why?"
"Head on over to the theater, got something to show you."
"Please, tell us something Rainboon-related? Is it a piece of Zavok's horn?"
"Yes, and better than Zeti horn."
"Loving the suspense. We'll be there!"
...
"Hey guys," Sweetie Belle greeted them from above.
"Got to admit, I will never get used to you that," Apple Bloom admitted.
"So what is it?" Sctoolaoo asked.
"It's from Trevor and Tyler."
"Well open it!"
"Sure," Sweetie Belle open it and look at the gauntlets each with its own design.
"Amazing!" All three said in unison as they put them on a voice that came through each of them.
"Hello, ladies, this Trevor here giving our latest product the Hero Gauntlets, wireless communication, and not to mention can handle a lot of personal stuff."
"You guys made this?" Scootaloo asked.
"With a little Velvet Metal," Tyler added. "But while checking it out, I should check TAS Corp Plaza along the way. It's probably nothing but it looks like someone breaking in."
"Crap, I need to get the groceries!" Sweetie Belle shrieked then left.
"I'll head on home, to make sure our cover isn't blown," Apple Bloom ran ahead. "Can you handle it?"
"Sure thing," As Scootaloo head to the plaza through the air as Rocket Blade.
"And that's what happened," Scootaloo explained what happened with the outbreak.
"After that, I need to hear more about you and the other powers," Tyler said.
"I'm not sure but I was able to contrast a Thunderbolt like Pinkie Pie, and Sonata Dusk only it felt like it was part of me. With Sweetie, with just a shout she was breaking every glass mirror at the store, and Apple Bloom she had super strength like AJ, but was able to lift chunks of rock with her mind."
"Sounds like you have bio-electricity, Sweetie has Vocal manipulation, and I think Apple Bloom has the same power as Sugarcoat being able to control earth with your mind."
"How about, Plasma Power?"
"Plasma Power? Good enough for me."
...
Rocket Blade landed in the plaza; sitting in the very center of the square was a large machine. She was wondering what that thing was until something scared her from behind.
She turned around and saw on a large video screen, it was an ad for the machine and a new power source. Twilight took a second to watch the ad.
Amanda Hailey appeared on the screen, she began explaining what all this was. "Hi there. I'm Amanda Hailey. What you are looking at is a state-of-the-art energy generator; powered by TAS Corp's latest and most powerful creation, Nuform." The video showed a canister of glowing blue liquid.
The ad continued, "With this device, our machine can power this entire city. Right now we're only powering this building and plaza, but soon we'll power everything. The state, the country, the world." The ad finished with the company's slogan, "Here's to a world, powered by Nuform. TAS Corp, we're here for you."
"It kinda pretty cool," Scotaloo said however, she was cut off when she heard a noise coming from nearby, the sound of a window being broken. She flew to the source of the noise; there, she found a window had indeed been broken.
Rocket Blade went inside to try and find her culprit, the room was dark and quiet. The only source of light was from a computer that had been left on; She walked over to the computer to try and find some answers.
"All they did was search for Nuform." She look at the screen without knowing someone came charging at her and broke the window and got put down hard landed on the plaza. Then Rocket Blade got a good look at this person.
The figure was wearing a mask, silver and purple; similar to the suit they were wearing. But the strangest thing about them was that they had large purple and silver gauntlets.
The masked figure shouted, "It's Rocket Blade! Attack Formation!"
Out of nowhere, a second mask-wearing thug leaped in a landed on a roof; he held out his hand and a rifle materialized in his grasp, it looked like it was made from the same stuff as the other person's gauntlets.
"Look, I don't know who you guys are, but we don't have to fight if you don't want to."
The one with the gauntlets replied, "We're the Underground, and we do want to." The thug then charged forward, trying to punch Rocket Blade with their giant fists.
Rocket Blade did Plasma Punch and completely destroyed the gauntlet tech completely and knocked him unconscious.
"Holy shit, their tech is incredible but Plasma wreck it!" Rocket Blade said when the thug from the roof began firing his rifle at her; the blasts looked like purple laser bolts.
She zoomed to the roof he was on, and kicked him to the ground. After the small fight, Rocket Blade dragged the two criminals together; she tied them in with her electro-grapple and contacted the police to come and get them. "The police should be able to handle things from here." Before she left them, she took their masks; what surprised her, is that they looked her age. Around nineteen to twenty-year-olds.
"Huh, guess the street kids want a piece of the action." Rocket Blade guesses the only reason why would they attack TAS Corp and told that to Tyler.
"Anything else?" Tyler asked.
"They talk about Nuform shipments, I need to find out so I know where they're going to hit next."
"And why whoever these creeps are."
"They're called the Underground. Heard of them?"
"Not sure. But their tech is impressive."
"What is it?"
"This a long shot, but going to say it's programmable matter, and I've no clue what it is."
Just as Rocket Blade thought to herself she heard police sirens outside, she knew that was her cue to leave.
...
Rocket Blade came through the back door and was her alter ego Scottaloo.
"Hey guys, I'm back," Sctooaloo said greeting everyone in the room.
"Look like someone has a fresh new look," Rainbow smirked a bit.
"You must look your best," Rarity implied. "As such, I invited a guest."
The doorbell rang.
"Speak of the devil, he's here already."
"I'll get it!" Apple Bloom checks it out as she opens it to see who it was. "No way! Alex!?"
"Bloom, nice seeing you again."
"Likewise," Apple Bloom said as she hugged. "It's been like..."
"Months since we last saw each other. Yeah, a lot has changed."
"Yeah, it really has."
"Is that our guest of honor?" Rarity asked. "Come on in, you two. I'm so glad you can join us."
"Pleasure all mine, Rarity," Alex said. "Hello, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Sweetie Belle, Sctooaloo, Pinkie Pie, Sonata, Arctic Ace say where's Twilight and Sunset."
"Those two are going to be out of town, for the next couple of weeks, practically speaking they need serious relaxing, can't give reasons why."
"I understand, let them I said hi," Alex said.
"Now, ever got to know each other, let's party!" Pinkie said as they party down.

...
"How are things with you at TAS Corp?" Applejack asked.
"Things have gone well, Alex said. "But I don't know how anyone could work there after seeing the last campaign act that's run by Candance. She went for Amanda Hailey's jugular."
"I know," Arctic Ace said. "But I get the feeling that Amanda is the true opponent. Look at Ponyville, TAS Corp has so much influence here but they don't to anyone except the shareholders. I'm glad that people like Candance and Jestro are fighting for the communities."
"And the reason I've loved so much!" Sonata hugged tightly as everyone laughed.
