Chapter 19-Forward
Liv heard the sound of distant echoes of the sirens, then silence. She saw Abby's peaceful face. "Liv, what are you doing here? You're not supposed to be here."
Liv squinted at Abby. "Be where?" Suddenly, she heard voices, voices she didn't recognize. She tried to turn to them, but she couldn't.
"Oh, he's dead, no doubt." Some stranger was talking, but Liv couldn't make out the face. Again, silence. Abby's voice came back. "Liv, your little boy needs his mother, go, get back to him."
"Abby, how can I do that? I can't just turn around and leave you again." Liv felt her body being moved. She tried to fight, but she couldn't, she couldn't make a sound, couldn't move.
"Liv, Oh God, Livvie." Ahh, there was a voice she recognized. She smiled; she wasn't sure if he saw her smile. Then, another strange voice.
"Governor, where are we taking her?"
Liv closed her eyes because everything she was seeing with her eyes open was just a blur. She's thinking it's because she's under water because she is soaking wet. That must be it, she is underwater. Back to his comforting voice again.
"Livvie, please, don't close your eyes, stay with me." Liv took a deep breath, she tried to anyway, it wasn't easy. "There's so much blood, is she going to be ok?"
Blood? Oh yeah, blood. It probably wasn't her blood, was it? It had to be Chip's blood, or was it that big man? She closed her eyes now, feeling some tears, no, it was Davis. He was dead. Abby came back into focus. "Abby, come here, let me hug you."
"No, Liv, no hugging. You have your life to live. Too many people died now so you can live a happy life, go, be happy."
Despite Abby saying she wasn't going to hug her, Liv felt hands around her. She felt a weight on her chest. "Livvie, please, please, stay with me." His voice again, Fitz. She tried to rub his hair, to let him know she heard him, but she couldn't.
Sirens again, the echo of them anyway. She began to hear the cries of her son, but he wasn't here. She looked around, he wasn't here she was sure of it, but it's the last thing she heard before the silence took over and there was no more noise.
Huck was listening to the scanner as he frantically pushed buttons on the computer. He was saving the original footage onto his flash drives and deleting the parts he needed to.
He was editing and deleting, and when he saw Davis go down, he paused. He bowed his head. "Goodbye, my friend, and I'm sorry." He rubbed his eyes and continued to focus on what was needed to be done.
There could be no evidence of Liv being the one that killed Chip. He was carefully clearing parts of the footage then loading it back up to the court's cameras. He didn't have much time, as the police would be demanding the footage.
He had to save the original footage, delete, edit, and reload five different cameras. It wasn't a tough task at all for someone with Huck's talents, but he kept replaying his two best friends getting stabbed in his mind.
He closed his eyes for a moment. He opened them back up and continued to press away at buttons. There was buzzing and beeping, things were going fast forward, he almost didn't catch the call coming in.
"Fitz, talk to me, please tell me Liv is alive." Huck continued to push buttons as he spoke through his headset.
"She's alive. Injured badly, but alive. Please alert MiMi to take Grant to the beach house. There's a medical team coming to the ranch house. The staff is setting up a medical room. They are about five minutes away. We'll be there in twenty minutes."
MiMi walked into the room after Huck had called her telling her there was something she needed to know. Grant was soundly sleeping on her shoulder. She walked in with a smile. "He's such a good baby, Huck, never a bother. What's up? Do you need something?"
Huck couldn't even look at MiMi, he knows how fond she is of Liv, and she had developed a friendship with Davis. She was bothering him about meeting Quinn before he ever asked her to marry him. Huck took a deep breath.
"Fitz is on his way here with Liv." Those were the only words he could say for now.
"Ok, do they need Grant ready for anything? He isn't dressed, but it wouldn't take…" She stopped. "Wait what happened at the hearing? Davis is on his way to NY I take it?"
Huck shook his head. He finally faced her. He stood and took Grant from her. "There's a medical team coming. Fitz wants you to bring Grant over to the beach house for now. Chip Putney is dead, but he killed Davis before he died. Liv was also stabbed and has two deep wounds to her side and thigh."
Huck just rocked Grant, holding him close to his chest, as if covering his one ear would spare him from hearing the details. He kissed his forehead, remembering Davis looking at his picture before he died.
MiMi threw her hands to cover her mouth. "NO! Huck, no, not Davis. Will Liv survive?"
Huck had no words. He saw MiMi begin to cry. "I don't know, I'm just trying to get the cameras to contain the right footage. Will you be alright with Grant?"
MiMi sniffed back some tears. "Yes, I'll be alright. Let me go get some things, and I'll take him over, but please Huck, let me know the status of Olivia."
They heard the doorbell in the distance, and MiMi grabbed Grant to be on her way with him. Huck sat down at the computer and began to play back the cameras he edited. He needed to do it quickly before the police confiscated them.
He had made sure, from inside the courtroom, Vivian taking the knives and the footage of the killings were erased. He couldn't chance Liv being questioned and linking her to Fitz. He continued to work on the camera footage.
It wasn't until he was replaying the footage back and watched Vivian pick up two knives did he realize there were two knives. He looked up slowly at the monitor and saw where Liv had switched the knife from her purse to her jacket.
He couldn't believe she'd go armed, she must have had a gut instinct, but thank God she did. Knowing he wouldn't be there with her probably made her become more aware to be protected. They knew Jax's games, and he would come at them from more than one angle.
Tom had to stop Fitz from going into the room where they brought Liv. "Sir, they need space in there, you cannot go in." Fitz was about to push Tom to the side, when Huck came out of the back.
"Governor, I need you to come look at this." Huck knew Fitz wanted in by Liv, but he had to distract him so the medical team can do their work.
"I uploaded edited versions to the courtroom cameras." He put a flash drive into the computer. "This has all the original footage. Are you ready to look at it?"
Fitz rubbed his face. He took a look behind him. "Huck someone needs to be with Liv."
"And the medical team is with her. You are going to be asked to speak to the press about what happened in Los Angeles, and you have to be prepared. Are you ready, because what you are going to see is graphic."
Fitz nodded. "Did MiMi take Grant over to the beach house?" Huck nodded. Fitz put his phone to his ear. "Tom, send three guards over to the beach house. They stay until they are told to leave. No one goes in or out except me or Huck." Fitz nodded to Huck.
"Play the video." By the end of the video, Huck looked over at Fitz.
"Governor, are you alright? She had to do it; he was going to kill her."
"I know, she's just been through so much because of them, I'm not sad he's dead. What about Quinn and Erin?"
Huck looked at Fitz. "I'll call them." Huck reassured Fitz.
Fitz looked at the video. "Stop, pause it."
"Who is he?" Fitz pointed to Ben. Huck scanned the face, on the side of the monitor Ben's mug shot came up. "A career criminal." Fitz read his record. That was our mistake. Jax must've recently hired him. Where are the weapons?"
"Vivian took the knives, Fitz. You may want to give her a…"
Before Huck finished, he was on the phone.
He dialed Vivian. "Where are you?"
"I'm still at the courthouse. I think they're going to ask me to go for questioning. They are just trying to piece together the posts everyone was at."
"What did you do with the knives?" Fitz heard the pause, the hesitation. "Vivian, I know there were two, I know what Liv did, what did you do with the knives?"
"I kept the one Liv stabbed Chip with and put the other in Lex's locker. I had to clean the blade though because of Liv's blood being on it."
"Go down for questioning, I'm working on getting you transported over to the capitol, don't say anything and stick to your name on the uniform."
"Governor, how is Liv?"
"She's in rough shape, she'll pull through." He said it, so he had to believe it.
"Whatever you need sir, I'm a phone call away."
"That was smart, Sir, having Vivian there. She's loyal, a true friend to Liv." Huck continued to run the footage.
Tom knocked then opened the door. "Sir, the detail is at the beach house. Liv is still in the room, no word yet from the Drs. Your press secretary Pedro called and Linda Marshall called. The press is…."
"Ok, Tom, I'll be right out. Thank you."
"Sir" Tom nodded and left.
"Where's Jax?" Fitz turned back to Huck. "I saw him in there and left him there with my father."
Huck squinted at Fitz. "He left with Chip's body and your father went with him. Can you get Davis's body here?"
"I'm on it. I'll be back with any news on Liv."
"Dr., her blood pressure is dropping, the bleeding is internal."
"I know, I know, I'm just trying to…." He was moving a scope around looking at the side Liv was stabbed. "There!" He pointed. "Shit, it's a laceration on the liver, we have to get in there and stitch it. What's going on down on the thigh Dr. Wallace?"
"Cartilage damage. I'm going to begin stitching inside. Can we get her stable?"
Both doctors began stitching inside Liv. "Someone go give the Governor an update, please." Dr. Wallace spoke but didn't look up from the work he was doing.
As soon as Fitz left the tech room, the nurse came out, looking a bit to solemn for Fitz's liking. He felt his stomach turn but remained calm and straight faced. "What is it?"
"She has a lacerated liver causing internal bleeding, cartilage damage inside her thigh, she's losing blood, but the doctors are working on her. Right now, she's stable, but critical. That's all I have."
Fitz nodded. "Keep me updated, every five minutes, you tell me or Tom, no one else, is that clear?"
"Yes, sir." The nurse went back in the room.
"Pedro, yes, yes, I know, ok, tell them I'm going live in ten minutes. Are you ready to answer questions after my live, because I'm not answering any questions."
As the camera light turned on, Fitz went live with a briefing about the stabbing at the courthouse. Fitz was a natural. He looked like the true leader they had elected and any one who had been nervous, their fears had just been put to rest.
Fitz was good at what he does. He was stoic, calm, and convincing. And after this briefing, he just made Jax Putney public enemy number one, and he had no regrets about it. He also ended the briefing with a public service announcement for monetary relief for eligible California residents. This was to get minds off of the stabbing.
"At approximately 1045 am at an extradition hearing for Charles Putney a series of events occurred both outside and inside the courthouse in Los Angeles. Rest assured, Homeland security and Los Angeles Finest are on the case and we are piecing together the evidence.
A police officer stationed outside the courthouse was alerted to a car with a possible bomb parked outside. Upon further review and the Bomb Squad being called, that was a false alarm. Freddy Kramer was located five miles from the courthouse and arrested for making false threats and conveying false information about destructive explosives.
As a result of Mr. Kramer's negligent actions, the courthouse was immediately evacuated, rather than put on lockdown, just in case the bomb exploded. The Lt. Governor was present at the hearing, and she is now safe at the Capitol in Sacramento.
What we know, so far is this. Charles Putney, Benjamin Moss, and Davis Chapman are all dead. There were no explosives found outside the court room as originally thought. We are still looking into an inside leak that may have resulted in Benjamin Moss having a weapon inside the court room.
During the evacuation, Charles Putney was attempting to escape, Davis Chapman, a former Green Beret in the Army assisted the officers before Putney could get out of the courtroom. It is believed Mr. Moss, a career criminal who was helping in the escape killed Davis.
Before Davis succumbed to his injuries, to protect the people evacuating the courtroom, Davis took down both Benjamin and Charles in a swift act of heroism and self defense. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.
Jax Putney is wanted for questioning in monetary aiding Mr. Moss, Mr. Kramer, and others in the hopes of getting his son to escape and being the mastermind behind these series of events.
Lex Henderson, a Sheriff's officer assigned to Judge Bailey is in custody. That investigation remains ongoing. Further details on the investigation will be given by Mr. Santiago, my press secretary. Thank you.
Before I sign off, I would like to remind you that 20 million Californians will benefit from the state's tax refund. This will help those eligible with rising costs of gas, groceries, and utilities. Please visit the state website to see how much you get. A big thank you to Cameron Lopez, leader of the tax division. If you get a refund, and you're happy with it, send him a thank you card. You can sign my name. Fitz smiled."
The cameras went off, and Fitz rushed to the medical room. The nurse was waiting for him. "The doctors are finishing up. They will both be out to speak to you in a half hour. I need to get back in there."
Fitz called Huck, gave him the news and said was going to get Grant from MiMi. "I want him there when Liv wakes up."
Fitz knew what he was doing. The people of California were growing to love him, he knew that and he wouldn't let them down. He also had to play this to his advantage for the sake of his family. Jax being public enemy number one, slowly but surely. That would surely backfire when he came after Fitz, and Fitz was ready for it.
After Chip's body had been sent to the funeral director, Jax and Gerry went to Jax's house in Avila Beach. Sitting in the quiet of the balcony, the sound of the waves in the background, Gerry tried his best to comfort his friend.
"I'll do what I can to get the footage from the courthouse today. Do you know if Chip tried some type of escape, because if I'm going to help you, Jax, I need to know everything."
Jax chuckled, not even looking at Gerry. "Lie to you. What would I gain from lying to you. Look, I know Fitz is your son, Governor, man of the people, but he went too far with this. Chip never should have been in Los Angeles." Jax grinded his teeth.
"Jax. Chip never should have been in California."
Now Jax looked at Gerry, an evil look. "You're the one who asked me to take care of Olivia Pope."
"Yeah, I asked you, to get people, why the hell did Chip decide to do it?" Gerry knew very well why, but he had to hear it from Chip.
"The fucking redhead." Jax whispered.
"What?" Gerry looked at him, eyebrows crossed.
"The fucking redhead he married because she was pregnant. She was Olivia's best friend, Abby. Abby fell downstairs in a drunken stupor, broke her neck, and Olivia Pope has made Chip's life a living hell ever since then. That's why Chip came out, to finish her. Now tell me why Fitz would blame Chip for a crime he didn't commit in Los Angeles."
Gerry's phone began to buzz. It was Barbara calling. He never told her he stopped forwarding calls. "I'll be right back. I have to take this."
Jax held his glass up, inviting Gerry to go do what he had to do.
"I didn't realize you were taking calls again. I wondered why my phone stopped ringing."
"Yeah, Barbara, sorry, things have been going on. The tour ended a while ago."
"Well, Senators…."
"Barbara, just write it all down and I'll take care of it in the morning."
"Fine, but Jax Putney also called. He seemed a bit demanding, distraught, I don't know, something was off."
"What did you say to him?"
"I told him you were in California surveying the damages with Fitz. Just to have him NOT call you I told him you were heading to a visit to your brother's house to visit the new baby after the tour."
"Come again?" Gerry couldn't believe his ears.
"So he would leave you alone, I told him you would be indisposed because of that, visiting the new grandbaby." Barbara then grew silent.
"Jax didn't know I had a brother."
"That's what he said. He was confused also. Ok, Senator, do whatever you need to, just be expecting Jax to call you and be aware he knows about the baby." Barbara hung up.
Gerry stared at Jax through the balcony glass.
Jax had to have put two and two together. Shit, Gerry thought, he knows he doesn't have a brother. He knows Olivia was pregnant. He knows Olivia has been where Fitz has been. Jax must know the baby is Fitz's. He took a deep breath and walked towards Jax. If Jax did know he wasn't letting on, Gerry had to figure out how to play this right. That's why Jax just asked that question about Fitz.
Taking his place next to Jax again, Gerry responded. "I don't know why Fitz did what he did to Chip. I don't know why he's been doing most things lately; he doesn't talk to me much anymore."
"And why is that Gerry, huh, why would your boy suddenly stop talking to you? You raised him, taught him everything he knows about politics. You have to wonder why he would just cut you out of his life when he's becoming so successful." Jax sipped his scotch waiting for a reply.
'He's being too much of a Democrat, if you must know. I can't agree with his policies, he can't call himself and run as Republican doing the things he's doing."
Andres came out to the balcony. "Sir, Senator Grant, you need to come watch this."
After the briefing, Jax threw his empty scotch glass at the wall, shattering it to pieces. "Your son, Gerry, your fucking son, is he out of his fucking mind?" He put his phone to his ear.
"Dez, get here, with four of the best, and get me the tech guys, I want the fucking footage from the courtroom. Now, Dez, you better be racing to your car."
"Let me call him, Jax, just calm it down." Gerry began to dial the phone, silently praying that Fitz would pick up.
After what seemed like a ten minute hug from MiMi, Fitz was able to hold Grant in his arms. He was sleeping, not having the slightest idea what was going on.
"Fitz, you look exhausted, you've been going all day, you need a break."
"Not until I know Liv is alright. I have to get back to get the update from the doctors."
"Well, I'm coming with you. I can help with Grant."
Fitz nodded. He didn't have it in him to argue, not with MiMi anyway. His phone began to buzz. MiMi saw it was Gerry calling. "Don't answer it, that man has his own agenda."
Ignoring her words, Fitz looked annoyed as he stepped out of the room. Answering, reluctantly, the call from Gerry he said in a very angry tone, "WHAT!"
"Olivia Pope killed Chip, you know that, why are you spinning this?"
"You are kidding me right now. Olivia is laying in a hospital bed with stab wounds down the right side of her body. Like I said before, get out of my state."
"Son, you know there will be footage showing this, this lie is going to bring you down."
"I'm hanging up."
"I'm with Jax." Gerry said as if it was some type of code Fitz was supposed to know.
"And that's supposed to surprise me that you pick him over me? Goodbye."
Gerry turned to Jax. "He's sticking with his story."
"Why wasn't there any mention of Olivia Pope being in that courtroom?" Jax asked suspiciously. "This has gone far enough. I donate enough money in this state. We'll see who comes out on the winning side."
Gerry wished he could answer, say something, but he wasn't going to. This was going to get complicated.
At 2 a.m., Liv finally opened her eyes. Huck was sitting in the far back of the bedroom while Fitz sat right next to Liv, almost lying in the bed with her. Grant's cradle was beside him, and Grant was sleeping peacefully inside.
"Fitz." Liv barely whispered. "Where's Grant?" Liv cringed as she tried to move. She was lying, propped up, turned on her left side. She was unable to turn on her back or her right side. She squinted at the dim light that was on as Fitz took her hand.
"Livvie. Don't try to move. You have 50 stitches down your right side. You won't be able to lie on your back until later today. Are you in pain?"
She shook her head. "No pain, She lied. Her side was throbbing but it didn't matter. She needed to see Grant. "Where is Grant?"
"He's right here. He's sleeping, he's fine, ok." Fitz rubbed her cheek with the back of his hand.
"I killed Chip." She whispered. "Davis is dead." She felt a tear fall on the side of her cheek. She felt so weak, so helpless and it was killing her.
"I know, we're taking care of everything." Fitz looked up as Huck walked to the base of the bed.
"I called Quinn and Erin. Quinn will be here later; Erin is going to wait until you're strong enough to come out here."
Liv nodded. She looked sadly at Huck. "Davis, Huck. I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault, and what you did to Chip, it was self defense. Try to get some rest. I'll see you later." Huck nodded at Fitz, leaving the room.
Grant began to stir, he et out a small cry. "Can I breastfeed?"
Fitz picked up his son. "Doctor said it was fine to breastfeed when you woke up. Just be careful not to bump your side."
Liv nodded and put her arm out so Grant could lay and Fitz helped take off her top. As Grant began feeding, Liv kissed his tiny head.
"I killed his son Fitz; he's going to come full force after ours." Liv wouldn't look up, keeping her lips on Grant's temple.
Fitz interlocked his hand with Liv's wrapping Fitz up in an arm circle. "I don't want you to even think of the Putney name anymore, do you hear me Liv, I'm serious. Huck and I are taking care of this. We are going to bury Davis; honor his life and we are moving on. You've been through too much, and it ends here."
Liv didn't know what to say. She rubbed her eyes with her other hand. She looked down at Grant. He was still sucking away; the boy was hungry. "It's his safety I worry about." She caressed his head.
"Are you going back to New York?" Fitz didn't want to ask, but he had to. It was time for a bit of tough love. He brought his forehead down to hers. "Livvie, please stay with me."
"Fitz." She rubbed his cheek, as Grant latched off, sleeping in between them now. "How do you explain us? How do I not ruin you? How do I get through the next few days?"
"You grieve for Davis. You heal your wounds, then you and Quinn, come work for the state attorney's office. Everything else after that will fall into place. Look at me." He saw her turn away. "Liv, look at me."
Her eyes filled with tears, her body growing numb, her love for him having no boundaries, she looked directly in his eyes. "I'm safe with you and that scares me."
"You're not ruining me, and you will always be safe with me." His lips connected to hers. "Chip is gone, I'm dealing with Jax. We are moving forward, together."
Liv nodded. She looked down at Grant, on his back now, sleeping. "Just always keep him safe, please."
Fitz lifted up their son. Grant's head rested on his father's shoulder. Fitz rubbed his back as he placed him back in his cradle. He turned back to Liv, who was now asleep. He covered her up, especially the bandages, and he made the phone call he's been waiting to make.
He didn't care what time it was on the east coast, he needed to know it was done. He had to always be one step ahead. One mistake was enough, and that was not knowing about Ben, this would never happen again.
"Hello" the groggy voice answered. "I didn't think you were calling."
"Oh, I'm calling. What happened?"
"He took the bait, I told him just as you said to, that he knows about the baby." Barbara repeated the words to Fitz.
"Just like that. You didn't say he knows about your brother's baby?" Fitz needed to be sure.
"Yes, I said he knows about the baby, then I hung up. He really does look like you Fitz, you can't hide it much longer."
"I don't intend to Barbara, thank you for help. Remember…"
"I know, not a word to your father that we've been in contact. Take care Fitz, be careful, and good luck."
Fitz could feel the exhaustion hitting his body. Before he got into bed with Olivia, he sent out a text to his Lt. Governor.
Linda, I'm sorry I didn't contact you after the incident today. I'm working tomorrow from Santa Barbara. I'll call you at 10 a.m. to discuss the courthouse events. Glad you are safe. All my best. Fitz."
He hit send. He did it this late, purposely, so Linda could see he had not been sleeping, he was still up, working.
He stood by the bed now, staring down at Olivia. She had no idea he had reached out to Barbara, his father's long time secretary. He had every intention of bringing Olivia and Grant out to the public, he just had to do it his way, in a way California would embrace it. Jax Putney wanting revenge on a baby, the Governor's baby, a Governor they love, let's see how that plays out.
"There's a picture on his phone, you have to get to the phone, make sure you see the picture and question him about it. When you have a moment by yourself, contact Jax Putney, use some excuse, any excuse, and babble on and mention the baby."
"Fitz, I have no problem doing that, but why would you chance this. This is a dangerous game to play. You know the connections your father has, and Jax Putney, I don't have to lay that out for you."
"I know Barbara and I appreciate your concern; I understand if you don't want to do it, but this is the only way."
"I'll do it Fitz, but just keep the baby safe, you understand. I know your father is cruel, can be cold hearted, but somewhere in there he has unconditional love for you."
"Thank you."
Fitz had no idea it would be so easy, that Jax would call Barbara on his own, but he did, and it made the plan work even better. Now Fitz had to sit back and wait. He would use Liv's recovery time to beef up security and while being the best Governor California has seen in decades, he would bring down Putney for a final time.
He climbed carefully into bed, making sure he didn't move Liv's injured body at all. He stared at the ceiling, anticipation keeping him from sleeping. It was going to be a long, sad, few days. This was going to be his first major political cover up, and he was ready for the task.
Liv felt his presence. She briefly opened her eyes, saw him there and rested her head on his chest. She rested her hand softly on his stomach, kissing his breastbone and whispering, "I love you", as she quietly fell back asleep.
He looked down at her side, the stitches bandaged so they wouldn't break, no leakage or blood. She was as strong a woman as he's ever met, and he was done letting her get hurt. He kissed her forehead gently.
Fitz took another look at the cradle. Grant hadn't moved from the position Fitz put him down in an hour ago. Both people he loved with all his heart right where he needed them to be, in the safety of his presence. Outside the room stood Tom, Luther, and Huck.
There had been a few mistakes today, mistakes that proved to be fatal. Governor Grant and his team would come out of it saddened but educated. They would slowly, but surely patch up the weak spots, and move forward.
Back in Avila Beach, Jax slept in a drunk state, snoring in his bedroom. He had broken down to Gerry Grant, telling him how he had failed as a father and disappointed Jules, letting their son die in such violence.
Gerry could only listen to him, try to be a comfort to him, after all, he had been there when Emma had died. He knew, though, Jax had a hidden agenda, one that included the kidnapping or killing of his grandson.
When Gerry let Dez and his team in, Jax had already been asleep. He set them up in the guest rooms and told them to wait for instructions in the morning from Jax himself. Dez thanked him then warned him.
"The boss isn't going to be happy, Senator. We tapped into the courtroom footage. Someone got to it already, and it's been altered. We cannot tell for certain who killed Chip, nor is there any sign of a weapon that's been recovered."
Gerry took a deep breath knowing Fitz had gotten the original footage. With most of California going to collect their money from the government tomorrow, the news cycle will shift, and what transpired in the courtroom would be a distant memory. His son was no dummy.
"Get a good rest boys, we're in for a long few days." Gerry saw them to their rooms.
Lying quietly now in his own guest room, Gerry took one last look at the picture of his grandson. He rubbed down the screen and hit delete. "I hope your father knows what he's doing for your sake Little Grant."
