William is walking outside in the middle of afternoon summer, which somehow, quite chilly due to the overcast sky blocking the sun from scorching him. It's the benefit for finishing his work early, allowing him to lollygagging around the base if he so wishes to. William have been working overtime on the paperwork this week, while he has multiple secretaries to aid him, he's still the one who gives the final go for everything so William still has to do his job properly. Imagine if he just signs his approval on everything, there will be no end to the amount of fuckfest that will descend to their base. He was just done meeting with Brooklyn when he thought that walking outside would be a good time to spend the afternoon, he did plan to play some games on his console instead of training for today, but eventually chose to go touch some grass instead. Fresh air and nature would do him good, maybe he'll catch a glimpse on some of the girls in their bikinis too so that's a major plus. William's musing was interrupted however, when he saw a short young woman with her purple hair tied in high ponytail running before stopping right in front him.
"Commander! Hey!" Javelin waved at William as she approached him from the front.
"Afternoon Javelin, is there something you need?" William asked Javelin.
"W-We're going to fish on the pier, would you like to join us? If you're free, of course!" Javelin asked William while her cheeks reddened slightly.
"Sure, I got nothing to do at the moment. Lead the way" William said to Javelin while he smiled.
"Yay! Come on, this way!" Javelin said to William as she grabbed his right hand and dragged him with her.
Javelin dragged him with her superhuman strength, so William had no choice but to come along with her despite his size. Javelin led him to a group of destroyers consisted of Z23, Ayanami, Laffey and herself. Ah, the usual Starter Squad…Why do they have that nickname? Supposedly, back when the Crimson Axis was just integrated to ALASUC base, there's a lot of animosity and grudges between the KANSENs. However, despite that, four ship girls banded together and formed the ever first friend group that involved Eagle Union, Royal Navy, Ironblood and Sakura Empire. The four of them become such good friends that they inspired others to stop being so anal for the past and started working together for the future. Hence, since they're the start of the friendships among ALASUC members, they are dubbed the Starter Squad. William noted that these fours are really close friends that if you spot one, there's a chance you'll saw another one nearby. After greeting the other three, William and the starter squad head for the pier where they set up shop and casted their lines.
"Huh, solid powdered bait?" William asked the ship girls as he inspected the bait.
"J-Ja, something wrong with that, kommandant?" Z23 asked William.
"No, I was half expecting a worm bait…But now I know why you girls didn't use them" William said to Z23 before he noticed Javelin and her blanching or disgusted face.
"As long as we can bait the fish, it's fine, right?" Laffey asked William.
"Yeah, don't worry…Huh?" William was about to cast his line when he saw someone on the edge of the pier.
"…Looking at Tirpitz-san, yes?" Ayanami asked William.
"Yup. I'm going to talk to her, here, hold it for me, be back soon" William said to Ayanami as he handed her the fishing rod.
Tirpitz, the little sister of Bismarck, a beautiful woman with shoulder length white hair, blue eyes and supermodel figure. That woman is standing on the edge of one of the piers, as usual to her daily afternoon routine. People have joked that Tirpitz could predict the weather, because whenever it's about to rain she will somehow stayed indoors, as if she knew it's about to come. William didn't interact with Tirpitz that much to be honest, not because he didn't like her or anything, it's just that he almost never crossed with Tirpitz unless it's an ongoing mission or they happened to pass one another as they walk to their destination. William is often swamped by a lot of other girls and Tirpitz isn't exactly trying to get to know him more, not that their relationship is bad per se, but they are just fellow ALASUC member at best. Tirpitz is pretty much unknown to him, he didn't know how she thinks, what she likes or what makes her tick. Though he did see the chance to know her better, especially after that painful lesson he received during his last mission…
"…Enjoying the view?" William warmly said as he approached Tirpitz from behind.
"Ah kommandant…Yes, the afternoon scenery looks gorgeous" Tirpitz replied to William after she turned her head slightly to see him.
"I always thought that this place could actually serve better as a resort, we already got the beautiful scenery to match so all we lack is a proper facility to house tourists" William said to Tirpitz as he stood beside her, towering the woman, as he stood a head and couple centimeters taller than Tirpitz.
"Do you truly believe that will work? There are other resorts around Azure Island anyway, with even more beautiful scenery and underwater coral formation" Tirpitz said to William.
"Yeah, I believe so. Though you make a good point, competing with the others would be hard without that natural advantage" William said to Tirpitz while he smiled slightly.
"…It's unusual for you to approach me, kommandant. Is there something you need?" Tirpitz asked William as she turned towards him.
"You can be pretty blunt huh…No, I just want to talk to you. We never truly talked with one another, just the two of us. Right?" William asked Tirpitz while he smiled.
"True, although it is given. There are a lot of girls in this base, and everyone tries to gain your attention so it is inevitable for me to sit aside...I'm not one to sought attention anyway" Tirpitz said to William.
"I see…Well, it is true though that I want to talk to you" William said to Tirpitz.
"Is it because your responsibility as our leader?" Tirpitz bluntly asked William.
"Yes, that's a part of it. However, I do want to know you too, on a personal level…I've talked quite often with Bismarck, then I realized that I know almost nothing about her only sister" William said to Tirpitz.
"…Kommandant, you don't have to force yourself to know me, you know? Let it be known that my allegiance is with you" Tirpitz said to William while she frowned a bit.
"I'm not forcing myself Tirpitz; I genuinely want to know you better. You and I are practically strangers, I want us to at least be friends" William said to Tirpitz while he smiled.
"Friends…Is that so. Then I suppose it won't harm to become one..." Tirpitz said to William.
"Great. In that case, why don't you come fishing with us? We already set up over there" William asked Tirpitz as he threw his thumb toward the Starter Squad behind them.
"Huh? They weren't there before" Tirpitz commented as she turned around.
"Guess they don't want to disturb you. Ah, you don't have to accept my offer if you don't want to, I'm not going to force you" William said to Tirpitz.
"It's fine kommandant, I was just done looking at the scenery anyway" Tirpitz said to William before she walked towards the Starter Squad.
William smiled as he watched Tirpitz interacting with the destroyers, then she took the fishing rod that he asked for Ayanami to hold and started fishing with them. The man walked toward them and rejoin the group, though he just watched the ship girls fishing while he occasionally talked to them. He would occasionally glance toward Tirpitz, he remembered that Bismarck once mentioned that her sister was dubbed as the 'Lone Queen of The North' due to how she is always alone, stuck to northern sea as a form of deterrence instead of a real capital ship in the past. Though that eventually changed the more she interacted with her fellow Ironblood and other faction KANSENs, Tirpitz shown how capable she is as a fighter and equally as a tactician. She has a slight attachment to a game of chess, proven by her trademark catchphrase 'checkmate!' whenever she found her opponent right where she wants them to. Be it in the game, or battlefield.

William sighed before he facepalmed as Tirpitz sipped on her coffee while she smiled slightly, this is their third round of chess and she still won flawlessly. After their fishing in the afternoon, William offered her to visit his cabin so the both of them could talk and get to know each other some more. William cooked dinner, both of them ate the dish called Nikujaga which consisted of beef and potato alongside some vegetables. It is fairly simple to create and quite fulfilling, William learned the recipe from Akagi when she made him a bento box to eat after his intense physical exercise. Both William and Tirpitz ate in comfortable silence with occasional chatter here and there, then after that they decided to play a game of chess. William has experience playing and could hold out on his own, but against Tirpitz? He got floored, hard. Not only she could counter his every move, the woman is always three steps ahead of him when it comes to traps and pinching movement. Honestly, William is suspicious that Tirpitz might be secretly a genius.
"You're amazing at this" William said to Tirpitz as he leaned on the dining room chair.
"But only at this, kommandant" Tirpitz said to William as she put the mug of coffee on top of the table.
"I heard you're quite good as tactician as well. No need to sell yourself so short" William said to Tirpitz while he pursed his lips.
"Maybe you're right, but compared to Amagi or my own sister, I looked like an amateur" Tirpitz said to William while she smiled bitterly.
"That makes the two of us, if I want to be honest…I am your commander, and I can hardly defeat you in chess" William said to Tirpitz while he frowned.
"…I know why you lose kommandant, you are too hesitant in sacrificing your pieces. You move cautiously, weighing the risks and the fact that your actions are restrained by rules in place. Despite that though, you still lose because you don't want to pull off daring moves that put your pieces in danger. That says something about you as a leader, kommandant, when you are infamous at being reckless" Tirpitz said to William.
"My life is my own, those under my command? They weight differently…True, I never liked doing sacrifices, despite doing so could save the rest…I always tried to save everyone if I could, even if I have to break rules. I can't exactly do that in a fair game though" William said to Tirpitz while he frowned.
"Still, it's just a game kommandant, I don't think you need to be so conservative with your strategy" Tirpitz said to William.
"Yeah, but I can't help it…something just doesn't feel right. And I'm afraid that by forgoing that feeling, I could in turn do so to all of you. I'm not a heartless man, despite being one will effectively make me a great commander in the eyes of others" William said to Tirpitz as he stared at the chessboard.
"You think being heartless would make you a great commander?" Tirpitz asked William.
"A heartless person only cares about the mission at hand, they saw their troops as disposable assets. Anything for the victory, the strategy they could employ would be severely more variable especially if they won't hesitate to sacrifice their fellow men and women for the objective…I worked with some of them in the past, some I like and some I don't. But overall, they are willing to do whatever it takes to win…I am not them; I can't do it. Unlike them, I was trained to be a field leader. To be able to be in the thick of it with my fellow soldiers, as a result, I can be quite…attached to my troops" William said to Tirpitz while he frowned.
"Making it harder for you to sacrifice them" Tirpitz said to William while she nodded her head.
"It's not like I haven't done it, I've sacrificed them under my command before…But, I won't be able to bring myself to do that, to any of you girls. If there comes a day where someone among us have to be sacrificed, I'm going to be the one to do the sacrifice" William said to Tirpitz.
"You will leave us all leaderless" Tirpitz said to William.
"Temporarily. You must remember this; I am a normal human. I am replaceable, that's not the case for any of you" William said to Tirpitz while he frowned.
"Don't you think you're selling yourself so short, kommandant?" Tirpitz asked William.
"Hm?" William hummed in questioning manner.
"Have you ever thought that while you might be replaceable for humanity, you are not to us? This kind of thing goes both ways, kommandant" Tirpitz said to William.
"You think the KANSENs here are that fond of me?" William asked Tirpitz.
"I am…You helped a lot of them, kommandant. In fact, you're already become one by simply being nice to the ship girls. You didn't discriminate anyone, despite what happened in the past. And, you're doing it genuinely instead of being duplicitous about it…Everyday, your name is uttered at least once by someone on this base. That's how much you have integrated yourself to our lives here, so don't think for a second that won't devastate many of us if you are gone, kommandant" Tirpitz said to William while she folded her arms.
"…I am touched, truly…Fortunately, I have no plans on doing that even if I spot the chance. Never giving up is how I run things" William said to Tirpitz while he smiled slightly.
"Then why make that statement before? You're being a bit contradictory here" Tirpitz asked William while she narrowed her gaze at him.
"When the choice is keep fighting and risk losing everyone or get everyone back home safe but losing your life, I think it's a pretty simple choice to make" William said to Tirpitz while he smiled.
"I see, so that's the kind of man you are" Tirpitz said to William.
"…You know, you're surprisingly easy to talk to" William said to Tirpitz.
"Am I?" Tirpitz asked William.
"Yeah, you gave me that loner atmosphere that don't want to be bothered. But you're quite friendly once you begin talking" William said to Tirpitz.
"…You're not entirely wrong, because I used to be a loner" Tirpitz said to William as she looked down.
"Used to?" William asked Tirpitz while he cocked his eyebrows.
"…It was way back, during the second great war…I was a fleet in name only, I rarely sortie out to the sea. I was more often sit in the docks, being a threatening enough presence to make the opposition think twice when venturing north. I never get the thrill of combat like my sister got in the Atlantic, she goes down fighting against the entire Royal Navy. Me? I met my demise by buzzing planes, while I was crippled in the docks. I was dubbed as the Lone Queen of The North because of that, and that lone queen met a pitiful end without being able to do anything meaningful…That is why, when I was summoned as a KANSEN, I didn't want to end up the same way back then" Tirpitz said to William while she frowned slightly.
"And you succeed?" William asked Tirpitz.
"Those that lead Ironblood today learned from the past mistake of totally ignoring surface ships in favor of submarines. It makes me think of what if our navy as robust as planned to be back during the second great war? Will we be victorious in Europe? No, that might only buy some time. Ironblood was surrounded from all sides, because of greed…It might not end the same as second great war, but I believe that Ironblood could still make a good push to conquer Europe. Although, I'm more relieved that the Siren shows up and finally united humanity to fight with a single front…Shame that it took otherworldly threat for us to link our arms and joined our forces together" Tirpitz said to William.
"It is, isn't it? And despite that, there are people out there that still don't understand the gravity of the situation…Humanity will never be able to truly unite, but it's enough with the majority of us having common sense for now" William said to Tirpitz.
Tirpitz nodded her head before she sipped her coffee, both of them fell into comfortable silence for a while. Tirpitz then remembered that she needs to head back to her dorm, she has plans for tomorrow and it's getting late. So, she took her leave, thanking William for a bit before she made her way back to Ironblood dormitory. Along the way, Tirpitz recounted her whole experience as a KANSEN and concluded that she's done more than enough to make a difference compared to her previous life. Now, she has sister that she can talk to anytime, friends that cared for her and a commander that can rely on her. That time he chose her to lead the battleships on Terania Isle? He knows nothing about her personally, but he believed in her ability to lead so he chose her. Frankly, that is more than enough. She doesn't have to actually be friends with the man, for his recognition is more than enough for her.
"You have changed, and for the better" William muttered to himself as he watched Tirpitz walking back to her dorm from his front porch.
Call him know it all or whatever, but William believed that the Tirpitz now is far from the actual loner she described as herself in the past. William saw how she interacted with Bismarck and the other ship girls, how she is willing to help them. She is among the nicest girl one could come across in this base, Tirpitz just didn't look like one because of how she likes to be alone, thus giving off antisocial aura. But apparently, she won't mind hanging out when she's invited. William made a mental note to ask Tirpitz to spend some time together with him in the near future, maybe they could do something fun together? Hmm, but Tirpitz doesn't seem to be the outdoor type. She does play video games, he better ask her later to game together. Now though, he better go to sleep for tomorrow, he has to fight the Azur Lane High Command for their paranoia regarding him in command of the most powerful fleet on earth.

"Tirpitz" Bismarck called her name.
"Ja?" Tirpitz answered as she turned toward Bismarck.
"Are you free tonight?" Bismarck asked Tirpitz.
"Sure, is there something you need me to do?" Tirpitz asked Bismarck.
"Nein, I…happen to won a game console, so I was wondering if you want to…play together?" Bismarck asked Tirpitz while she subtly looking to the side.
"Game console? What kind of competition did you won, schwester?" Tirpitz asked Bismarck.
"Akashi handed one to me, she said that I'm her tenth thousand customer or something…I…want to enjoy some time off with my schwester" Bismarck said to Tirpitz.
"…Alright, your room at seven?" Tirpitz asked Bismarck.
"Gut, we'll order a takeout for dinner" Bismarck said to Tirpitz.
With that, Bismarck walked out of the Ironblood dormitory common room with a slight smile on her face, she successfully invited her sister to hang out with her! Tirpitz herself couldn't help but to smile softly at Bismarck's retreating figure, her sister could sometimes struggle with her words. Although, the way she asked her now is a lot more straightforward compared to her in the past when they just met. Tirpitz could remember clearly when Bismarck struggled heavily to invite her just for afternoon coffee, that woman had to make some elaborate scheme of sorting after report on a café and she just happened to saw Tirpitz doing nothing. Tirpitz knew about the whole intention behind Bismarck enlisting her help of course, because she overheard Bismarck asking Gneisenau for advice. Really, Tirpitz would've wholeheartedly immediately said yes even if Bismarck just straight up invite her for coffee, but she guessed that's what makes her sister cute despite her usual persona as a stoic leader.
"TIRPITZ!" Oh nein, that's what Tirpitz thought when she heard that voice.
"…I'm here Victorious" Tirpitz put down the newspaper on her hands then said to Victorious who just entered the common room.
"Hey! I need you to come with me, immediately!" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she smiled widely.
"Why?" Tirpitz asked Victorious while she cocked her eyebrows.
"Ms. Shiranui has an entire boutique now! Let's check them out!" Victorious said to Tirpitz as she gets really close to her while she smiled.
"You mean me playing dress up as your mannequin?" Tirpitz asked Victorious, unfazed in the slightest with their distance.
"Fufu, oh don't worry! I'm going to try some outfit as well! Come on, come on, I know you want to see some eye-catching fashion!" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she wiggled her eyebrows.
"…Fine, just don't take too long. And you better buy one" Tirpitz said to Victorious as she rose from the sofa she sat on.
"Aww, what if there's nothing that suit me?" Victorious asked Tirpitz while she pouted.
"You? Failing at fashion? Didn't you once claimed that you could even make a sack into a beautiful apparel?" Tirpitz asked Victorious as she walked past her.
"I was exaggerating for a bit!" Victorious said to Tirpitz as she followed her closely.
"Uhuh, sure" Tirpitz said to Victorious.
"You don't sound convinced. Well, whatever, at least you're willing to go outside" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she smiled.
"You won't stop unless I agree" Tirpitz said to Victorious.
"You know me so well~" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she grinned.
"Why am I friends with you?" Tirpitz wondered as she exited the dormitory's front door.
"Because you love me~?" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she smirked as she went through the front door.
"Don't make my lunch come out" Tirpitz said to Victorious.
"Meanie!" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she puffed her cheeks.
Tirpitz smiled a bit at that, she knew that Victorious knew that she's just joking. This is how it goes whenever Tirpitz or Victorious interacted with one another, it's either her or Victorious poking fun at one another with Tirpitz being subtler. They get in arguments, and yet it never anything serious or even intense enough to start a real fight between them, not one that resulted in them aiming their riggings at each other anyway. Tirpitz is quite patient with her, though she's not someone with a big temper in the first place…Shiranui's shop now has boutique? Took her long enough, according to Tirpitz. Why did she just come up with that now? Almost two years since the base was built? She didn't see the massive market potential for textile products in this base ever since she first came here? With its occupant being women? Really? Tirpitz thought that woman is a business expert, or was it Akashi? Tirpitz honestly don't know, the two can be quite equally greedy.
"So, what kind of new clothes that Shiranui has?" Tirpitz asked Victorious.
"Haven't seen it yet, but she said that she got enough for everyone!" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she smiled.
"That so. Hmm, I hope she has a dress" Tirpitz said to Victorious.
"Oh, what's this? A dress? Going somewhere fancy, Tirpitz~?" Victorious asked Tirpitz while she grinned.
"Just saying, I don't have many fancy dresses. Most are pretty casual" Tirpitz said to Victorious.
"Dear word! Now that I heard that, we are not leaving until we find a suitable dress for you!" Victorious said to Tirpitz in serious tone.
Victorious seems to be taking the ordeal seriously, Tirpitz couldn't help but to crack a smile at that. Hard to believe that they used to try and kill each other back then, mostly out of obligations of course. When hostilities ceased, Victorious was the one who visited her on the medical hospital as she was recovering from her wounds. Victorious apologized for what she's done, but Tirpitz brushed it off because there's nothing to forgive. Both of them fight out of obligation, just trying to do their job. Victorious then quickly tried to befriend her, poking Tirpitz to see what interest her and what she dislikes. Unfortunately, back then, Tirpitz was a loner who has no hobbies outside of starring into horizon on a pier so she doesn't have much to talk about. Victorious then started by talking about her sisters such as Illustrious, Formidable and Indomitable. That got Tirpitz attention as she started to ask Victorious on what's it like to have a sister, Victorious immediately concluded that Tirpitz doesn't know what it's like because she never met Bismarck directly. Not until the cease of hostilities toward Azur Lane, at least.
From then on, Tirpitz and Victorious would often spend time with one another, Victorious would always visit her whenever she's going to Ironblood. Tirpitz quickly found that Victorious could be quite frontal, and that she's often get dragged to Victorious' own pace. Tirpitz did find her overbearing sometimes, and that she can be quite nosy. But Victorious is her first ever genuine friend so she can never be troubled by her for long, Victorious also knew whenever she stepped out of line and quick to apologize once she realized it. Yes, Tirpitz is the more laidback among the two, even the voice of reason whenever Victorious got 'bright' ideas to have some fun, example being riding her own plane's wings in low level flight just so they can enjoy a sunset in the middle of the sea. Tirpitz quickly put an end to that idea, knowing that will earn them tons of verbal flak from air traffic control. Fortunately, most of the time, Victorious only asked her to hang around with her such as checking out shops or having meals together. Such as what they are doing at the moment, both Victorious and Tirpitz entered Shiranui's shop and immediately greeted by the destroyer who manned the counter with her usual flat expression.
"Irrashaimase" Shiranui greeted the two of them.
"Afternoon, Ms. Shiranui. We'd like to check your new boutique" Victorious said to Shiranui while she smiled.
"Head on through the back, and do let me know when you find something you like" Shiranui said to Victorious.
"Brilliant. Let's go" Victorious said out loud before she dragged Tirpitz by hand.
Both of them walked inside the boutique space that Shiranui set behind the counter, both Tirpitz and Victorious widened their eyes at the sheer collection that Shiranui has. Originally, the area behind the counter is a storage for her wares, but they have been moved downstairs on the underground. There are several ship girls inside other than them, they are trying out various outfit as well. There's Akagi and Kaga checking out one-piece dresses, King George V who's measuring a red dress with her figure in front of the mirror, Zara who's advising Carabiniere on what kind of dress she'll want for casual outing, Honolulu and St. Louis checking for something casual to wear and Cleveland alongside Helena who are looking at the shirt collection. Victorious looked around for anything interesting, she then saw a section filled with dresses and she dragged Tirpitz with her as they walked towards it.
"What color do you want, Tirpitz?" Victorious asked her friend while she smiled widely.
"White should do it" Tirpitz said to Victorious.
"Oh come on, explore a little bit would you? Most of your clothes are white!" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she pouted.
"And what's wrong with that? I like white" Tirpitz asked Victorious in slightly firm tone, showing that she's offended.
"Everyone knows that! They'll associate white with you at this rate" Victorious said to Tirpitz.
"Pretty sure they already are…" Tirpitz said to Victorious while she rubbed her chin.
"That's why we have to spice up your wardrobe just a little!" Victorious said to Tirpitz.
"…Fine, what do you have in mind?" Tirpitz relented and asked Victorious.
"Something other than white, that's for sure. Give me a minute, try to look for other dress too! Just don't pick white!" Victorious said to Tirpitz before she scanned the collections.
Tirpitz shrugged before she shifted the dress collection, trying to see whether there's anything that would suit her…Admittedly, Victorious do have a point, because her attires are 95% white in color and she has little variation. Maybe she'll want a dress with different color than the one she uses as ceremonial dress, something a little dark in color spectrum? Sounds good, Tirpitz thought to herself…After looking at the dresses for quite some time, Tirpitz found a dress that catch her interest. A black dress with inner red color and choker that's connected to the dress, it's strapless and has an opening on the left side that will show off her left leg. Tirpitz looked at the dress and thought that black is usually associated with Bismarck, but it won't hurt to try this dress and see whether it will fit her as well…they are sisters after all. Tirpitz walked and entered the changing booth; she swiftly changed to the dress and then carefully inspected her appearance.
"…Not bad, if could say so myself" Tirpitz muttered to herself.

"Oh there you are" Victorious said out loud after she opened the booth's curtain.
"Urk! That…was rude" Tirpitz visibly jumped in her place and turned around while she glared at Victorious.
"Don't be so uptight, we're all ladies here" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she grinned.
"If we reverse our role, wouldn't you be embarrassed?" Tirpitz asked Victorious while she frowned.
"Nope, but surprised? Maybe. Anyway, you're looking mighty fine, Tirpitz! I like how the dress hugs your figure, and the black coloring is really a fresh look! You should take this dress!" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she smiled.
"You think so?" Tirpitz asked Victorious as she checked her figure on the mirror.
"I'm sure! Even Lord Blaze will be stunned by how you look!" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she grinned slightly.
"You're stretching it, there are plenty of beautiful women on this base that I'm sure he's desensitized already" Tirpitz said to Victorious.
"No, I do not, he was dumbstruck when he saw Illustrious wearing her formal blue dress to accompany him to the base next door a few days ago. He looked so cute, gaping like a goldfish out of water fufufu!" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she grinned.
"I'll take your word for it then, though I'm not buying this to get his attention or anything" Tirpitz said to Victorious as she changed to her normal clothes.
"Oh dear? Not in the slightest?" Victorious asked Tirpitz with her eyes widened.
"…Admittedly, it might be nice to get a compliment from him" Tirpitz said to Victorious as she pulled up her miniskirt.
"Is that so, hard to think there's a long timer on this base that are not interested in him" Victorious commented while she folded her arms.
"Is it that surprising?" Tirpitz asked Victorious as she put on her jacket.
"Well, this is you we're talking about, I shouldn't be so surprised…May I ask though, you didn't feel anything for him? Nothing in the slightest?" Victorious asked Tirpitz while she pouted thoughtfully.
"I respect him as my commander and as a man" Tirpitz said to Victorious before she exited the booth.
"Ooh~? As a man? So, there is something!" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she smirked.
"I valued him as a person, Victorious. I don't mean anything like that" Tirpitz said to Victorious as she walked to find Shiranui with the dress in her hands.
"Really? Even I as a newcomer find him attractive! No wonder Illustrious and Formidable are smitten by him! There's nothing wrong with feeling like that, you know?" Victorious said to Tirpitz as she followed her.
"Ja, there's nothing wrong, I just don't feel that way to him" Tirpitz said to Victorious.
"Yet, I reckon" Victorious said to Tirpitz while she grinned.
"…We'll see" Tirpitz responded noncommittedly as she found Shiranui behind her counter.
"Ah, black and red dress, a fine choice. Can I assume you're taking that one?" Shiranui asked Tirpitz.
"Ja, just bill my bank account and I'll pay it online" Tirpitz said to Shiranui as she pulled out her phone.
"Tasukomarimashita" Shiranui said to Tirpitz as she immediately took her phone to do the transaction.
"…And done" Tirpitz said to Shiranui as she paid her bill, it's quite expensive but she got some money to spare.
"Pleasure to do business with you, Tirpitz-san" Shiranui said to Tirpitz while she smiled very briefly.
"I'm heading back then, thanks for taking me here" Tirpitz said to Victorious as she walked away.
"Hold it lady! I haven't gotten anything! You said you'll accompany me, right?!" Victorious asked Tirpitz.
"…Scheisse" Tirpitz breathed out, there goes her chance to get away.
…Victorious made Tirpitz accompany her trying half of the boutique, it took her hours before Victorious found something she wants to wear. A sleeveless black sweater and cream jacket, a casual outfit for her outings. By the time they were done, the sky has turned orange and Tirpitz came out of the shop with tired face. She doesn't know how women could have the energy to shop for so long, despite her being one herself. Victorious realized that she promised Formidable that she'll be back on the dorms by six, so she hurriedly takes off toward Royal Navy dorm while bidding Tirpitz a goodbye. Tirpitz sighed as she walked back to Ironblood dorm, she reached the building, entered her room, changed into more comfortable grey t-shirt and black shorts then checked some Juustagram posts as she waited for the appointed time with Bismarck…When the clock shown seven o'clock, Tirpitz got up and head for Bismarck's room. The woman knocked on the door twice and the answer is swift, Bismarck opened the door to her room, dressed in black camisole and grey jersey.
"You are quite punctual, schwester" Bismarck said to Tirpitz while she smiled slightly.
"I try to. It seems we almost have the same idea for our evening apparel" Tirpitz said to Bismarck when she saw her clothes.
"Ah ja, it would seem so. Well, come on in" Bismarck said to Tirpitz as she stepped to the side.
Tirpitz went inside Bismarck's personal room, it's not her first time being here but she noted that nothing much has changed. Bismarck's personal room is still looking like a standard room with minimal personal decorations, except for the workstation she got at the corner of her living room and two big lockers where she stored materials for her research or personal project. Yes, her sister is somewhat of a scientist herself, she dabbles in engineering. Bismarck is among those who got a good understanding of her own rigging and could built machines that suit her needs, it's just that she is usually being quite busy with other things that she doesn't have a lot of time to devote to her personal projects. Despite being capable engineer herself though, she said that she is nothing when it comes to the ingenuity of those who dedicated themselves to the craft and thus, she didn't really join them when it comes to creating something. Even when she is offered to help working on William's new armor, Bismarck declined the offer to work on it full time and instead opted to help them by advising about redesigning the undersuit based on his experience on Furushima. The woman is more happy and comfortable working on her own projects, which is going quite well.
But her hobby is not the purpose of her invitation tonight, Bismarck just want to have some fun. While Tirpitz could still be confused on what Bismarck might consider 'fun', she recognized her attempt to have fun with her by mentioning game console. Tirpitz is quite an avid gamer herself; she usually plays single player games though and perfectly content in enjoying herself with the games she got on her console and laptop for hours. Though she started playing multiplayer games as well when she joined ALASUC, a lot of girls on this base like to play together whether its custom lobby battle royal games, space werewolf with jellybean astronauts or even party games. There's always someone who's willing to play when night comes in, even William occasionally joins them when he got nothing to do. But Bismarck hardly know about the whole gaming session, so Tirpitz is quite curious that Bismarck shown some interest in gaming herself. Maybe because she suddenly got a game console that she felt like trying out new things, it could be because she finally shown some genuine curiosity on the activity itself. Regardless, Tirpitz is glad that Bismarck want to try gaming.
"This is the console I won this morning" Bismarck said to Tirpitz as she shown her the console installed beside her personal TV.
"Ah, this is the latest in line, powerful enough to run anything. I'm surprised Akashi handed one to you so willingly" Tirpitz said to Bismarck.
"I was suspicious of that as well, so I disassembled it to inspect everything. I saw nothing off so far" Bismarck said to Tirpitz.
"You disassemble and reassemble it? Color me impressed, schwester, that is quite a feat" Tirpitz said to Bismarck while she smiled slightly.
"Danke…Well, let's start" Bismarck said to Tirpitz.
Both women sat down in front of the TV, they each grabbed their controllers and browsed the console's available games. First game they played? Medieval warrior duels game where Samurais, Vikings and European knights existed in one world. After completing the tutorial, both chose their characters. Bismarck opted for the standard Templar with longsword while Tirpitz chose a Samurai with katana, both met in a small arena and begin dueling with each other. Tirpitz and Bismarck fell into complete silence as both tried their very best to keep the upper hand in the fight, they analyzed, baited and strike one another precisely. Their experience in the frontline bleeding into their gaming skills, both of them fighting as if their life is on the line. After grueling sword crosses happened multiple times, Bismarck managed to take advantage of an opening in Tirpitz's form and struck her down with a stab. The woman couldn't help herself but to smile widely at her victory, despite not being a gamer, Bismarck is a natural one.
"See that schwester? I have come on top!" Bismarck said to Tirpitz while she smiled.
"…Amateur's luck" Tirpitz said to Bismarck while she smirked a bit.
"Don't be a sore loser, I can prove to you that it's not a fluke" Bismarck said to Tirpitz as the round 2 begins.
"Well, time to get serious then" Tirpitz said to Bismarck as she cracked her fingers.
They fight once more and this time? Tirpitz won the fight by beheading her sister's character with a swift katana stroke execution. Bismarck frowned slightly before she refocused herself, Tirpitz wasn't kidding when she said it's time for her to get serious. She knows that Tirpitz is a lot more experienced than her, she can only hope that she will make further mistakes so Bismarck could exploit it…But despite her best effort, Tirpitz managed to best her in direct combat by sidestepping then flanking Bismarck, she got backstabbed repeatedly until her HP is completely depleted thus causing Tirpitz to win the fight. Bismarck sighed that she lost despite the good start, she understands now that gaming is also a skillset that need training in order to master. Tirpitz however come to understanding on how William felt during their chess game, even she can't help imagining what if Bismarck and her fight for real. The fight just now is just a game, but if it's real? With her sister's combat experience and skill in battle? Will she be able to best her? She can't help but to bring some element from real life to her performance in the video game, something only those that have tasted the thrill of real combat could properly do.
"Rematch!" Bismarck declared to Tirpitz.
"Sure" Tirpitz said to Bismarck while she smiled.
They played several more rounds after that, then they jumped into another mode with other players. They stormed castles, aided and fought with other players, slaughtered NPCs on screen and used siege engines. Once they are done playing as medieval warriors, they switched to a more modern setting. Bismarck and Tirpitz played a first-person shooter with massive battles going on in each match, both of them quickly did the tutorial and then joined in a massive multiplayer battle. They are fighting as infantry or riding vehicles into battle, both are equally thrilling to do. Even Bismarck and Tirpitz who are normally stoic managed to revel in the atmosphere, expressing joy when they completed their objective and get visually frustrated that some dude sniped them off from the edge of the map. They played for a while before Bismarck ordered them a take out, and some snacks alongside it. It took around ten minutes before a knock could be heard in front of Bismarck's room, Tirpitz opened the door and saw a big package are placed in front of the door, no doubt a delivery by the Manjuus.
"What did you order, schwester?" Tirpitz asked Bismarck as she took the package inside.
"Pizza, potato fries, chips and soda?" Bismarck said to Tirpitz.
"Huh, impressive. You ordered what usually gamers choose as their go to meal when gaming" Tirpitz said to Bismarck as she put the package between them.
"I admit that I have…done some research" Bismarck said to Tirpitz as her cheeks reddened a bit.
"Fufufu, you truly do. Well, we can continue playing while eating or we can take some break and eat" Tirpitz said to Bismarck while she smiled.
"Let's rest for a bit" Bismarck said to Tirpitz as she opened the package.
Tirpitz looked at the content and she smiled when she saw that Bismarck ordered a meat lover package with mushroom toppings, cheese and sausage inside the crust. Both of them started eating their supposed dinner, while occasionally talking about mundane things or their gaming experience. Bismarck asked Tirpitz on what games she think that she would enjoy playing on her own, Tirpitz asked whether Bismarck know about RPGs. Tirpitz explained that role playing games are the perfect time sink if you're the type to enjoy story and world building alongside combat, Bismarck commented that she might pick up one or two title to test drive before she starts gaming for real. Tirpitz recommended Tales series and Nier, both came from Sakura and they will let you be immersed in their world quite easily with beautiful artwork, amazing soundtrack and riveting story. Bismarck immediately accessed the shop on the console, she bought the newest ones immediately. Tirpitz is a bit taken aback with the speed of her purchase; Bismarck must've trusted her opinion greatly that she shows no hesitation in following her words…that makes her happy deep down inside. Then they played some more, trying three more games of different genre so Bismarck could get acquainted with them.
"…Hmm, we've been at it for a while" Bismarck said to Tirpitz as she glanced at the clock, it's currently two in the morning.
"You want to rest?" Tirpitz asked Bismarck.
"…Ja, my shoulders are a bit stiff too" Bismarck said to Tirpitz as she walked to her bed.
"I'll finish up here and return to my room" Tirpitz said to Bismarck.
"Nein…once you're done…go lie down next to me, Tirpitz" Bismarck said to Tirpitz with a bit of hesitation in her tone.
"You want me to sleepover" Tirpitz said to Bismarck as she tidied the food packaging and turning off the console.
"…You are already here, why shouldn't you?" Bismarck asked Tirpitz while she smiled slightly.
"…Right…Well, scoot over schwester" Tirpitz said to Bismarck as she climbed aboard the bed.
"…Fuh…gaming is fun" Bismarck said to Tirpitz while she smiled slightly.
"I see that you have come to know the enjoyment of video games, schwester. Maybe having something to do other than sitting on your workbench should help" Tirpitz said to Bismarck while she smiled.
"…Help with what exactly?" Bismarck asked Tirpitz while she cocked her eyebrows.
"Your stiffness, I suppose" Tirpitz said to Bismarck while she smiled.
"…You're saying that I'm an anti-social?" Bismarck asked Tirpitz while she furrowed her brows.
"…The number of occasions you small talked with the others could be counted with one hand, it's because you really don't know about something that you're afraid you're going to make a fool of yourself, ja?" Tirpitz said to Bismarck.
"That's quite presumptuous, schwester. How can you say that so confidently?" Bismarck asked Tirpitz while she pouted.
"Well, I am your schwester after all. I know because we're not so different in that aspect" Tirpitz said to Bismarck while she smiled slightly.
"I see…Well, after playing those games, I admit that I've known about more things than I do in the past few hours" Bismarck admitted to Tirpitz.
"Take your time, there's a lot of things you can find out from games…it's fun to play them as well" Tirpitz said to Bismarck.
"Ja, I see why it's a popular activity…I've been missing out, it seems" Bismarck said to Tirpitz.
"There is no age nor the word 'too late' when it comes to playing games, even elderly these days plays a video game or two" Tirpitz said to Bismarck while she smiled.
"…Ja…Regardless, I had fun. Danke, for playing with me" Bismarck said to Tirpitz while she smiled.
"Don't mind it, we can always play together, just ask me when you want to…That being said, maybe now you could ask Kommandant William to play with you as well" Tirpitz said to Bismarck while she smiled.
"Ah…that is a great idea" Bismarck said to Tirpitz.
"It is apparently a popular activity for home date" Tirpitz said to Bismarck.
"D-Date? I might invite him to play, but I don't know about home date. We are not like that" Bismarck said to Tirpitz as her cheeks reddened slightly.
"Who was the one that got bad mood for an entire day the moment she found that the someone she has been crushing for was sleeping with two women at the same time?" Tirpitz asked Bismarck with her eyes half closed.
"Hah…you're never going to let that go, huh?" Bismarck asked Tirpitz while she frowned.
"Never. Why don't you be honest and just go straight for the kill? You always been able to do that" Tirpitz asked Bismarck.
"…Because even I am unsure on what I want to do with him, schwester. I'm sure you understand" Bismarck said to Tirpitz while she frowned slightly.
"I don't" Tirpitz said to Bismarck.
"You will later, mark my words" Bismarck said to Tirpitz.
"…Well, I think we should sleep now…" Tirpitz said to Bismarck as she closed her eyes.
"Escaping huh? Though I'm quite tired myself" Bismarck said to Tirpitz before she closed her eyes as well while smiling.
…Bismarck quickly fell asleep, Tirpitz on the other hand, thought on Bismarck's words. What does she mean by her being able to understand what she felt? Even hinting that she eventually will be able to? Bismarck was hinting that she might catch some feelings for their commander later. First Victorious and now her, this will only make her lose interest in the man, don't they know that? Whatever, the woman decided to ignore whatever bullshit that might spawn from that line of thinking and just sleep it off.
"Ah, morning Tirpitz" William greeted Tirpitz.
"Morning, kommandant. You seem free today" Tirpitz said to William.
"It's my day off, though I was forced out of my house by Belfast and the maids" William said to Tirpitz while she smiled wryly.
It's his day off and William planned to laze around his house, but Belfast and the others decided to clean his cabin and thus threw him out so they can work uninterrupted for few hours. That's how Tirpitz found the man wearing t-shirt and jersey while sitting underneath a tree near the base's sea wall, gazing at the blue sea and sky with a bottle of oolong tea alongside two packs of strawberry flavored cheese cake. Tirpitz was taking a morning walk when she spotted him, the man immediately greeted her and beckoned her to join him underneath the tree. William was planning to spend the whole time alone, but after doing so for an hour, he decides that having someone to talk to won't be so bad.
"You're not training?" Tirpitz asked William.
"To be honest, I'm also taking a day off from that. My muscles are sore all over, I've overexerted myself" William said to Tirpitz while he frowned.
"Ja, no wonder. You have trained especially hard" Tirpitz said to William while she nodded.
"Still, it's not enough…I barely improve" William said to Tirpitz as he looked at the ground.
"Barely? After everything you've done for the past week?" Tirpitz asked William.
"My accuracy with guns is still shite when I run and gun, my sword swings are still slow, and I still got outmatched by Warspite in under a minute…I'm still not fit to fight" William said to Tirpitz.
"It will take some time; nothing is instantaneous when it comes to personal effort. I believe that's why when your training paid off, it feels very rewarding" Tirpitz said to William.
"…Ah, true. Don't take my word for me complaining though, I'm just realizing that I still got ways to go…" William said to Tirpitz while he smiled slightly.
"…You really took your defeat hard, I suppose it's reasonable, given that you are heavily injured" Tirpitz said to William.
"It seems heavy, but it's critical enough that I could very well die if untreated. The shrapnel that punctured some of my arteries, the bruising on my body…and even the shock I put my organs through…Not to mention that the stitching was opened when we went home that I'm losing blood, that doesn't count for the exhaustion and potential for my heart to stop beating…I'm very lucky in retrospective, and all that happened because I'm outmatched by Midnight" William said to Tirpitz while he frowned.
"And you resolved to face him again" Tirpitz said to William.
"I am. No matter what I do, we will cross each other's path again later. I have to be prepared this time" William said to Tirpitz while he frowned.
"…We are here with you kommandant, let us know if you ever need help" Tirpitz said to William.
"Yeah, thanks…Ever since then, I'm being honest with my desires and wants. You only live once, you only die once. Make sure they are worth it..." William said to Tirpitz while he smiled.
"…Is that why you have been openly flirting with girls?" Tirpitz asked William.
Tirpitz noticed that William have been a lot more receptive with the flirty girls on this base, even firing at them back with his own. Tirpitz saw how he talked with Atago few days ago, both of them seems more…intimate than before so something must've happened. William and Wales talked like they're a close friend now, when before Wales would have some sort of professional air whenever she spoke to him. Lexington shamelessly hugged his arm when they walked to the canteen together once, that baffled even Saratoga who didn't expect her sister to do such thing. Shoukaku got caught kissing William by the cheek when they returned from their outing by Zuikaku, she did it so shamelessly that even Zuikaku wondered on what happened between the two of them. One of the maids even heard some sort of strange noises coming from Formidable's room when William visited at one time, she claimed that William was helping her by massaging her shoulders…but something else presumably happened, especially that Edinburgh found a dark red spot on Formidable's sheet that she claimed from her nosebleed. She almost believed her, were it not for a lot of unexplainable stain on her mattress that smelled like chestnut.
Getting straight to the point, Tirpitz could conclude that those were cum stains. Yes, William have been sleeping around with the girls on this base, most likely cumming inside them too, unleashing his sperm recklessly just because of the chance conceiving is abysmally low. Eugen and St. Louis were just the initiator, they took the first step and the other girls decided to jump him as well when they saw him being cooperative. Being a man, Tirpitz thought that there's no way William could refuse one without causing a big drama between the girls. But Tirpitz realized that William doesn't plan to refuse them, she remembered him being very reluctant when he first arrived on this base, but she realized now that she mistook that for nervousness. It is not because he's nervous, it's because he's afraid that he'll unleash the beast too early and potentially turn the girls off. He's a natural at gaining women's affection despite his claim on his past self, either he did change or he's just that good of a liar.
"Yeah" William bluntly answered.
"…So, you are going to respond to anyone?" Tirpitz asked William while she frowned slightly.
"What's this? Getting a little jealous?" William asked Tirpitz while he grinned.
"Don't get ahead of yourself, kommandant. It's just that you're being greedy, wanting everyone to yourself" Tirpitz said to William in firm tone.
"Sorry, I jumped the gun…It's not like I'll just do that to every woman on this planet you know? I limited myself to the KANSENs…In addition to my duty to manage you all properly as a fighting unit, as an ordinary person, I would be lying if I said that I didn't grow to care you girls as more than comrade in arms. You are a friend, and if things did move beyond that, I won't mind in the slightest" William said to Tirpitz.
"Still, every KANSENs? You honestly thought this is going to end well?" Tirpitz asked William while she frowned.
"I don't know, but I'm crossing the bridge when I get there…When I said I will be honest with my desires, I mean it. That doesn't mean I'm toying with you girls, I genuinely want to make all of you happy…I know that not everyone is keen on sharing, that's why I'm being truthful about the whole thing. If I slept with someone, I won't deny if I was asked" William said to Tirpitz in serious tone.
"I see…Alright, what's the deal with you and Atago?" Tirpitz asked William.
"She gave me massages, one thing led to another, and our lower half ended up joined together" William said to Tirpitz bluntly.
"What about Prince of Wales?" Tirpitz asked William.
"Nothing happened yet, but we did kiss each other" William said to Tirpitz.
"…Shoukaku?" Tirpitz asked William.
"She dragged me to a love hotel; the rest went as you might expect" William said to Tirpitz while he shrugged.
"And Lexington?" Tirpitz asked William.
"Well, we went to Valencia for a little date. After that, she asked me to stay for a bit in her room and…one thing led to another" William said to Tirpitz.
"…What about Formidable?" Tirpitz asked William.
"Oh she's a bold one, she said she want me to massage her shoulder at first…and it somehow ends up in sixty nine…nice" William said to Tirpitz.
"Nice?" Tirpitz asked William while she cocked her eyebrows.
"Nothing…But there you go, that's what happened" William said to Tirpitz.
…Tirpitz leaned on the tree as she recounted his words, William was being serious when he said that he'll tell the truth! Tirpitz honestly a bit taken aback by his honesty, guess he's being sincere on his stance about being true to his desires. What Tirpitz's suspected are all true, William has been fucking girls left and right. Though his statement about the fact that he doesn't plan to play with the girls' heart intrigued her, he was being serious about returning their affection despite the possibility of one girl will have his head for not being loyal. But Tirpitz presumed that William must have explained the situation before they do the deed or something, otherwise a carnage would've happened already. Still, Tirpitz is quite surprised that the ALASUC girls are willing to share so easily, why is that? And does her sister know about this?
"…So, why are you asking about it?" William asked Tirpitz while he rubbed his nape.
"…Consider me being curious, that's all" Tirpitz said to William.
"Oh, not going to give me sermons about bedding multiple women is wrong or something?" William asked Tirpitz as his eye widened.
"I did say that you are greedy, but I never said that you are wrong…Throughout history, men with power have always has multiple women by their sides. You are no exception, I suppose…Oh well, as long as you treat the girls right, I think I have nothing to say about it" Tirpitz said to William while she frowned slightly.
"Understood…I want you to know that includes you, Tirpitz. If you're ever interested-" William said to Tirpitz.
"I don't have interest in that kind of thing" Tirpitz immediately rebutted with flat face.
"I-Is that so? Still, just talk to me if you do" William said to Tirpitz while he smiled.
"Duly noted. I'm heading back, kommandant" Tirpitz said to William as she rose up.
"Thanks for accompanying me, Tirpitz" William said to Tirpitz.
"Ja" Tirpitz simply responded as she walked away.
…Whoops, William internally cringed as he thought he just grossed out Tirpitz or something. Still, William have promised himself to not kept his adventures secret if any of the girls ask him about it. He's kind of curious why Tirpitz would just ask him about those things, he mistook it as a sign of her being quite receptive. But who is he kidding, they're just friends at best and it would be laughable to expect Tirpitz ever be interested in sexual relationship with him. The woman is a stoic one, with no sign of ever wanting romance or anything and she looked perfectly content with that. William honestly felt a little disappointed at her lack of response, but he should've known better that not every girl would flock towards him. There will be some KANSENs that are just not going to see him that way, he better accept that as soon as possible.

…Thanks to the talk they had a few weeks ago, now Tirpitz is even more conscious of her commander as an opposite gender. She used to not mind his presence, but now and then her eyes would wander toward him whenever he's present nearby. Just this morning alone, Tirpitz saw him jogging around the base in a short and white t-shirt that really hugged his torso, giving her a clean view of his muscles because it's damp with sweat. She heard Enterprise asking him to feel his pecs and he allowed it, the woman commented on how hard it felt and his body is practically felt like a brick wall yet with a hint of softness as well…Is that why the destroyers like to hug him so much? She saw some Fletcher class girls swarmed him at one time, it's impressive that he remained standing despite having nine girls hanging around his body. Tirpitz found her eyes lingered more than they should, something is wrong with her.
No, Tirpitz know that there's nothing wrong with herself, it's just her body's natural response. Because ever since she became conscious of William as a man, her body starts to act like a maiden with needs. Her needs have always been there, it's just that she never put too much thought into it that she's never conscious of her desires. Tirpitz heard further that she knows he's a good man, that she won't regret ever giving him her first time because she knows he will properly care for her.
