Episode 20: Raimundo Vs Amethyst
Back at the House, Garnet, Pearl, Kimiko, Omi and Clay warped back. They were unlucky on their search. "Man, Who knew Jasper is a good hider?" Kimiko mentions. "Yea, it's looking like Jasper isn't going to be found soon." Clay added. Just then, Steven and Raimundo arrived. "Guys! We founded Jasper!" Steven said. "WHAT?!" All 5 of them said. "Yea, she arrived with those monsters you guys mentioned, Steven and Connie bested the monsters and I put Jasper on the backfoot, causing her to retreat." Raimundo added. "Great job, you two." Clay said. Pearl then realized something. "Wait...where's Amethyst?" Pearl said. "Yo…" Amethyst said as all of them see Amethyst. She was in her new outfit and looking a bit somber. "Amethyst?" Pearl said. "You reformed…" Kimiko said. Amethyst remained quiet a bit. She's really shaken from her battle with Jasper and having to rely on Steven, Connie, and Raimundo to save her hide.
The next day, Raimundo was on the beach, recreating the battle for Clay, Kimiko, and Omi on what happened. Raimundo didn't over exaggerate too much but stay within the boundaries of reality. "So, basically, Amethyst tried to battle Jasper… and lost? Resulting her being poofed?" Clay said. "Man, that's why Amethyst looked somber when we arrived back." Kimiko added. "Yea…" Raimundo said. "If I recall, Steven is training with Pearl right now but who know what Amethyst is feeling." "She's been making egg salad in the dish sink right now if I recall." Clay said. "I guess she needed some comfort food to get out of her rut." Omi said. Raimundo ponders a bit. "So, uh, can I go back inside? I feel like talking to Amethyst." Raimundo said. "Oh, sure." Kimiko said as they began to head back.
Back at the Heylin HQ, Hannibal called in a special meeting. He has something special cooked up as he wants to make sure that others would agree to it. "Alright, is everyone here?" Hannibal said. Chase, Wuya, Jackson, Tubbimura, Pandabubba, Katnappe, and Vlad were indeed present. "Alright then, let's begin this meeting." Hannibal said as he sits down. "So, you mention you have a plan?" Chase said. "Yes…and it involves Jasper." Hannibal boastfully announces. "WHAT?!" Chase and Wuya said at the same time. "Why are you involving Jasper?!" Chase said. "She backhanded me and isn't on speaking terms with Chase at this time!" Wuya added. "Yes, I know…Jasper can be a head case but she still got some value in the tank still. Her hatred for the Gems…the desire to be the best…her fighting style is impressive. Why throw that away?" Hannibal said. "What are you suggesting, Hannibal?" Katnappe said. "Simple…I would be the supporter for Jasper, call it a loose ally for her." Hannibal said.
This made Chase ponder a bit. He began to brew something up. "Well, if you like, I'll cut you a deal…" Chase said. "Tell me…what is it?" Hannibal said. "I'll let you go find Jasper and "ally" with her while I try to convince Jack to return to us." Chase said. "What?!" Katnappe said. "Why are you wanting that wimpy whiner to return to us?" "Clearly you hadn't followed the story at this point, Katnappe." Chase quips. "Well, if you like to know, I trained Jack to be a well rounded threat…but due to circumstances, he and I "mutually" parted ways. I don't know what he's doing right now but things look a bit dire on our side. If I can convince him to return, then we might have a chance to redeem ourselves." Chase said. Wuya… was a little unsure. "Peridot became an ally of the Gem, why would Jack return to us? I mean, we got Katnappe, who her and Jack aren't good allies, and Jack and I aren't exactly on the best of terms. Then again, we could entice him with Hannibal Roy, Vlad, Pandabubba, and Tubbimura…plus you could sweet talk your way with him." Wuya said.
"Listen, if Jack refuses or is an ally with the Gems, then we might need to make some drastic plans." Chase said. Wuya was a little uncertain on the idea, but with limited options, she softly affirms her position of going along with the plan. "So...we have a deal?" Chase said. "I think that's a fair trade off, me trying to ally with Jasper and you getting Jack back on board. It's not the best deal in the world but I can work with that." Hannibal said. Chase smiles a bit. "Now, if it's a 4-4 split or more people vote against it, the deal is off, if more people vote in favor of it, then we proceed with it." Chase said. "With that said, raise your hand if you want this to go through." Chase, Hannibal, Jackson, Vlad, Tubbimura, Wuya, and Pandabubba raise their hand. Katnappe refuses. "7-1, the deal goes through." Chase said. Hannibal chuckles as he stands up. "Now if you excuse me, I got an ally to find." he said as he head out the door. Chase smirks a bit as he heads back to his room and began planning on recruiting Jack.
Back at the beach house, Steven, Amethyst and Pearl return from training and had been for a while. Amethyst looked more upset than before. Steven was now wearing a jester hat. He did notice that Amethyst looked more upset. However, he sees Raimundo, who was on the couch, getting up and walking over to Amethyst, who was eating mayo from the jar. "Yo, Amethyst...you okay?" Raimundo asked. "I'm…fine." Amethyst said. "Clearly you aren't because you seem so out of it lately. Come on, Amethyst…tell me." Raimundo said. Amethyst soon ran out of Mayo and sighs in anger. "Ever since Jasper bested me a day ago, you had to save my hide along with Steven and Connie. Just a few hours ago, Steven and I were training with Pearl but Steven managed to best me with Pearl thinking I was going easy on him when in reality, I was out of it… I feel like I'm the worst Crystal Monk right now." Amethyst said.
Raimundo was surprised to hear that coming from Amethyst. "Look, Amethyst… you aren't the weakest. I feel like on rare occasion that even with all improvements…I feel like I'm still lagging behind. Omi and Pearl has the most experience, Clay and Garnet are strong as all heck, Kimiko and Steven are adaptable. Not only that, remember, I was out of the game for at least a few months. Even with me be a Xiaolin apprentice… I still feel like I'm not the absolute best." Raimundo said. "In fact, you are more powerful than me in my opinion." "I doubt it. You beat Jasper while I couldn't. Look, as much as I want to talk… why don't we battle at the training field? You only can use one Wu and that's it. No holding back" Amethyst said. Raimundo nods as he picks up the sword of the storm as the one wu. They head to the warp pad. Steven was worried for both of their safety.
A bit later, Raimundo and Amethyst were stretching out their bodies. They were at the Sky Arena. Amethyst ties her hair up. "Let's see who is truly the worst" Amethyst said. Raimundo softly nods as he has his Sword of the Storm in one of his hand. Amethyst began to spin dash towards Raimundo, who quickly dodge it. Amethyst began to use her spin dash to create a dust storm to make sure she could blindside Raimundo. However… "I see what you are planning… but not going to work! TYPHOON BOOM, WIND!" He said as he claps his hand and sends the dust storm away, made Amethyst get out of her spin dash and hit a pillar. "Grrr...How did you know that?!" Amethyst said as she charges with her two whips. "Sword of the Storm, Wind!" Raimundo said as he slashes the air with the sword and managed to sweep Amethyst off her feet. Amethyst pretend to be knocked down a bit longer and Raimundo slowly walks up. "You okay?" Raimundo asked. Amethyst then ensnares Raimundo legs and managed to use her purple energy. It sends Raimundo flying into a pillar.
Raimundo was slow to get up as Amethyst went ham on him with her whips. She even ensnares the Sword of the Storm and managed to disarm Raimundo. "Ha! Now you only got your Typhoon Boom thing!" Amethyst taunts. Raimundo then fights Amethyst in close quarters. Amethyst was surprised on how Raimundo is doing and how he is keeping up with Amethyst. Both fought tooth and nail against one another. Amethyst was then got sucker punched by Raimundo and forced her to lose control over the Sword of the Storm. Raimundo quickly grabs it as Amethyst ensnares his legs once more. However, Raimundo quickly cuts the whip and managed to dodge another barrage. Both Raimundo and Amethyst began to run out of tricks and energy to keep fighting. They made one last ditch hit to end the fighting once and for all. However, when both made contact with all of their might, they both got knocked down and were pretty much out of energy.
"Man...who knew you could be a good fighter?" Raimundo pants as they both lie down. "I was supposed to be like Jasper as she said, but I'm not… Wait… Oh my goodness, Why did I even fight you?!" Amethyst said as she realized something. "We both are improving at our own rate and I need to fight Jasper on my own terms." "That is true, besides...don't let Jasper get into your head. Focus on being yourself." Raimundo said with a chuckle. They slowly get up and looked around. The Arena is somewhat damaged from their big fight. "Man, as if it wasn't ruined before." Raimundo said. "WHAT DID YOU TWO DO!?" Someone said outloud. They look up to see Pearl shocked and angry. "YOU TWO RUINED THE RUIN!" "Well, looks like we got some explaining to do…" Raimundo said with an awkward chuckle.
