Chapter 3
Setting 1 The Loch
-Gretchen- DIB SWIM! (He did just that and swam for his life in front of the others.)
-Dib- Don't worry Gretchen everything will be ok. (He took out his camera.) I can't believe it Nessie is a mom. What should we call the baby?
-Allee- Freddy!
-Dib- Why?
-Allee- Because it can be a girl's or a boy's name.
-Will- Guys I think we have more of a problem than what to call the baby. Like getting out of here alive!
-Dib- Right I will just take the picture and then we can go.
-Will- DIB LOOK OUT! (But it was too late Nessie smacked Dib with her tail.)
-Gretchen- Dib are you ok?
-Dib- No I dropped my camera!
-Gretchen- Forget the camera Nessie is very pissed. We have to swim! (She swam and grabbed his hand and they all swam to the Surface.)
Setting 2 Back on land
They all landed on the land back to normal. Dib was very mad.
-Dib- NO NO NO! I don't believe this how could I loose my camera. Why is my life like DIPPER'S FROM GRAVITY FALLS!
-Will- Dib what are you talking about?
-Dib- You know in The legend of the Gobblewonker Dipper and Mable kept losing their cameras. Just like me, but unlike them I was stupid and I only brought ONE CAMERA!
-Allee- Maybe it is for the best Dib. Nessie seemed incredibly camera shy.
-Paige- Well can you blame her? I would not want hunters finding out about my existence either.
-Dib- Again I would not have let the photo fall into the wrong hands. I just wanted to put it in my mom's diary. So I could help her get the photo in a sentimental way. (He sat down on the ground very sad. Then he took the diary out of his bag.)
-Gretchen- (She put her hand on his shoulder.) It will be ok Dib. We can try again tomorrow and bring more cameras.
-Dib- I guess you are right and at least we know that Freddy likes bagpipes.
-Allee- Speaking of bagpipes do you guys hear something?
-Rachel- Yah it is coming from that boat over there. I think the sailors are playing a tune on their pipes.
-Jason- Oh No you guys this is bad. We have to get them to stop before Freddy hears it.
-Paige- I think it is a little too late for that. (She pointed in the direction of the boat where Freddy had just surfaced.)
-The Sailors- Ahh it is the Loch Ness Monster she is real! We were just expressing our culture and it hates our music! FLEE!
-Captain- No look matees 'es smilin! Let's capture it for money.
-Rachel- No they said "They want to capture Freddy!"
-Dib- No we have to stop them. Before… (Just then the sailors threw a net on Freddy!)
-Allee- NO FREDDY! We have to save it.
-Will- I don't think we need to. Mommy is very angry. (Right when he said that Nessie came out of the water and whacked her tail against the boat.)
-Dib- Yes she will sink their boat. And I still won't get a picture sigh..
-Captain- Vile beast let's see how you like me harpoon. (He said taking out a harpoon gun.)
-Gretchen- Huh Dib give me your binoculars. (He did just that.) Just as I thought they have an illegal harpoon gun.
-Dib- No Nessie. Guys we have to split up. Jason turn you, Paige, and Rachel back into mermaids and cut Freddy free. The rest of us will teach those sailors a lesson. Thistle!
-Jason- You don't have to tell me twice. (He turned him, Rachel, Paige and Saphira into their mermaid forms and they dove in. Then Dib and the others flew on Thistle to attack the ship.)
Setting 3 The ship
-Captain- Haha soon ye head be mounted on me wall!
-Dib- Over my dead body. (He said as he jumped off of Thistle and on to the Captain knocking him to the ground.)
-Sailors- AH DRAGONS! They hate our music too!
-Gretchen- (She jumped onto another sailor.) Take that you creep. The World Wildlife Fund will have something to say about this. (She took a picture of their gun.) They will be happy to hear about this illegal harpoon gun. And now that I have taken the picture Chrysanthemum would you like to destroy it?
-Chrysanthemum- It would be my pleasure. (She blasted it to ashes with her fire breath.)
-Sailor 1- No you fool! now Nessie will eat us all!
-Allee- (She punched him.) That was for trapping Freddy. Speaking of which. Paige did you and the others free Freddy yet?
-Paige- Almost got her loose.
-Rachel- There she is free. (She said as Freddy swam free.)
-Will- (He punched out a sailor.) Way to go you guys.
-Dib- Ah you guys I think we should get out of here Nessie looks really steamed.
-Will- You are right. Jump into the water. (They dove in and then Nessie flung her tail into the boat making it sink.) That is telling them Nessie! (He said as they all got on shore.)
-Gretchen- I know the sailors were evil but.
-Will- Oh don't worry about them looks like they made it to shore too. (He said pointing to the sailors that just swam up. The World Wildlife Fund arrived and put the hand cuffs on them.)
- World Wildlife Fund- We got a call saying that you had an illegal harpoon gun on board your vessel. m(He said showing them the picture Gretchen sent him.)
-Sailor- No officer we had the Loch Ness monster in our net and there was a dragon and they both hated our music!
- World Wildlife Fund- Yah yah tell it to the judge. (They took them away in the car.)
-Dib- Yes we did it. (Just then something tapped Dib on the shoulder.) Huh? (He turned and saw Nessie and Freddy floating in the water with his camera on her tail. She gave it back to him.) Thank you but…
-Gretchen- Dib I think Nessie is going to let you take the picture.
-Dib- Really you mean it? (She nodded her head.) Sweet but I have a better idea. Everybody get into position for a group shot. (They did and he set the camera on a timer and on a fence post.) Say Clover!
-Everyone- Clover! (The picture was taken.)
-Dib- Yes we did it mom. (He took the picture and put it in his mom's diary and hugged it tight.)
Setting 4 The Festival
An hour later Dib was telling Gaz and his dad what had happened that day. They were all at the festival where Allee and her school band mates would be playing their bagpipes concert.
-Dib- And that is exactly what happened Gaz and Dad.
-Professor Membrane- Wow this is amazing Dib. To think that you got proof that those dinosaurs are still alive. What a wonderful paranormal discovery. Your mother would be proud. I know I am. (He said looking at the photo.)
-Dib- Thanks dad.
-Gaz- Yes you did good Dib now where is mom's diary. I want to read it.
-Dib- I gave it to Amethyst so she could revise the pictures and writing with her alien tech.
-Gaz- YOU WHAT!
-Dib- (She grabbed him.) Don't worry Gaz she should be here any minute with the diary fix and…
-Amethyst- (She teleported onto the scene.) Wow Dib, did I come at a bad time?
-Dib- No you have great timing. Because my sister is about to kill me!
-Gaz- Where is my mom's diary?
-Amethyst- It is right here good as new and Dib I think you and Gaz will want to read this entry for January 21.
-Gaz- But that is the day after my birthday. (Amethyst gave them the diary opened on the right page.)
-Dib- Dear Diary,
Today we brought baby Gazolina home from the hospital. Dib has just crawled over to his sister and given her a big hug. They are so cute together I can't believe how lucky I am. Crystal I owe you so much. Thank you for pushing me into the future. If you had not then I would have never met the man of my dreams and had my greatest treasures. I can't wait to watch them grow up. I know that one day they will both mature into wonderful adults. Even if I never managed to prove that the paranormal is real. I don't care because just being here with them, Membrane and my best friends Tiana and Celeste and their families makes my life complete. I can't wait to see what life throws at me next. Until then I will just capture this perfect moment. (On the next page there was a photo of baby Dib in Professor Membrain's lap and Gaz in her mother's lap. They were all sitting on the couch. Dib and Gaz had tears in their eyes.)
-Amethyst- Wow Gaz I have never seen you cry.
-Gaz- Shut up Amethyst if you ever tell anybody about this I will destroy you.
-Amethyst- Mums the word.
-Dib- Thank you for fixing the diary Amethyst. This means a lot. I am going to go show dad.
-Gaz- Wait Dib I am coming too. (They ran off to go show their dad.)
-Paige- Amethyst. (She hugged her best friend.) I did not know you were going to be here. You have to stay for Allee's performance.
-Amethyst- Sure sounds like fun. (Allee and the other kids began to play.)
-Hailey- (Landed her ship near the concert hall and ran up to Amethyst disguised as a human.) Amethyst!
-Amethyst- What is it Hailey?
-Hailey- You teleported away so fast that I noticed that some of the pages fell out of the diary.
-Dib- What!? Thank you Hailey. (He took the pages from her.)
-Hailey- No problem Dib well I had better head home and I I I… (She just saw Allee playing.) Who is that? She is beautiful. (She fainted into Amethyst's arms.)
-Amethyst- Oh No, Hailey wake up. Oh man sorry guys but I need to get her to the hospital.
-Paige- Interesting looks like Allee has an admirer.
-Mrs. Hethcoat- (The concert just ended.) Oh Allee, that was amazing.
-Allee- Thanks mom I was a little nervous playing in front of a big crowd but it felt right with my band mates up there.
-Professor Heathcoat- Speaking of your mates I noticed that one of them looked at you while blushing. Maybe you should go ask him out.
-Allee- What no dad I…
-Professor Hethcoat- What this is the 21st century girls can ask out guys.
-Allee- I know but dad, mom, Will there is something I need to tell you. I am… Well ah…
-Paige- (She put her hand on her sister's shoulder.) Don't worry Allee I got your back.
-Allee- (She took a deep breath,) I am A lesbian!
-Will- I knew it.
-Allee- WHAT NO HOW DID YOU KNOW!
-Will- Well everytime you look at that nice red head from your class you are always blushing. It is so obvious.
-Allee- Oh god no please tell me she did not notice. I could die of embarrassment.
-Mrs. Hethcoat- Hey maybe we should set you up on a date with her then.
-Allee- What no mom you can't I… Wait, you mean you guys are ok with this?
-Mrs. Hethcoat- Of course we are sweetheart.
-Professor Hethcoat- I know we have not had the best relationship with you kids but we love all three of you. And if you want to date boys or girls or both then we will support all three of you.
-Allee- Oh mom dad. (She hugged them.) Thank you guys so much. (She ran over and hugged her sister.) Thank you Paige I needed the boost.
-Paige- No you did not, I knew you could do it Allee.
-Allee- Yes well I know you can do it too. And I will be there for you when you do.
-Paige- We will see about that. (They hugged some more.)
-Professor Membrane- Dib and Gaz I need to show you two something. (He took them to a tree.) When your mother and I came to Scotland for our trip I did not believe she would find the loch ness monster and when she did not I took her on a picnic right under this tree. We had a wonderful time and I carved our names right here. (Sure enough on the tree there was writing that said Propane and Vivian Forever with a heart around their names.)
-Dib- Oh dad this is amazing.
-Professor Membrane- I know she would be proud of both of you. I always have been. (He hugged them both.)
-Gaz- Thank you dad.
-Dib- I miss mom.
-Professor Membrane- I know me too Dib. But I know she is watching all of us from up above and she is smiling down on both of you.
-Dib- You are right, dad. (He said as they shared another group hug even Thistle, Chrysanthemum and Gretchen joined in.)
