It has come to my attention that the creator of the Blazblue series has left Arc System Works. I do not know what will happen to the series but I would like to wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
Whether or not the Blazblue series will get another game I can only guess. But if it does it will have my support and if it doesn't, the series will still live on through the fans, especially with the creativity of fanfiction.
Thank you for bringing life to an amazing series Toshimichi Mori.
I also know this goes without saying, but the story will still continue.
Chapter 84 Haven's Aftermath Part 3
(The Bullhead)
Several hours has passed since the White Fang's attack was stopped. Many of the members were imprisoned along with Adam and Sienna Khan. Because a good portion of their crimes has been traced back to Atlus. It's been agreed by the Mistral Council that they will be transported to the technologically advanced Kingdom once the transport was ready. During the flight, many members of the White Fang held despondent looks on their faces with the exception of two individuals. Both Sienna and Adam hold looks of pure rage in their faces. Sienna's rage comes from the fact that she agreed to this plan and everything ended up exactly as she suspected. She knew that she should have done more to prevent Adam and the White Fang from going through with their plans. Because Sienna allowed herself to go along with such a destructive idea due to Adam's and Azrael's words and claims. The White Fang are in a worse position than ever before.
Adam on the other hand has a great deal of rage at his current situation. The White Fang were so close to destroying Haven's CCT Tower. If the destruction of the CCT Tower was successful, then not only would the humans be even more divided. Yet despite all the work and planning that was done to prepare for the fall of Haven. It all ended in failure due to several factors Adam didn't expect. One of the biggest factors was the interference from the Hero of Vale. Jin proved to be much stronger than he initially anticipated and as a result, Adam was unable to kill him. Making things worse is the second factor that played an even bigger role in things going wrong are the Militia group from Menagerie that is made up of Faunus Traitors. Who are led by the biggest traitor of all, Blake herself.
Seeing Blake's passion for justice for the Faunus showed Adam that she has the potential to succeed and even surpass him. Even lead the Faunus should Adam die at the hands of the humans. Leaving the White Fang is already bad enough. Yet stopping an attack with the Hero to the Humans and other Faunus Traitors. Has not only dealt a huge blow to the White Fang, but also destroyed any hope he had of redeeming Blake after punishing her. The respect he had for his old friend is now gone, Blake is another traitor to the cause and if he sees her. She will die, no more no less.
"Are you proud of yourself Adam? What do you think will happen now once we're imprisoned in Atlus?" Sienna angrily asked Adam while giving him a glare
"Jin will regret letting me live, many of our Faunus brothers and sisters are falsely imprisoned in Atlus. Once we're settled in the Atlus prison, we will mobilize our forces. Over time, we will build our strength and then . . ." Adam said before Sienna interrupted
"IT'S ALL POINTLESS ADAM! This ridiculous attack ended in failure and now we are all going to Atlus for imprisonment. All because of your arrogance and rage that led the White Fang down the path of ruin!" Sienna yelled to Adam
"What was your plan then? Show strength to the humans and do nothing to follow through with it! The humans will never accept us, while we were in holding, many of the guards referred to us as wild animals. We need to follow through on our show of strength, or else we will never have our retribution. Just as we've learned from the human, they are learning from us. If the humans do not learn their place in this world then we will continue to be as they are. I don't regret this attack and I'll do it all again if it means destroying the humans." Adam stated to Sienna
"Your desire for destruction will destroy us all, both humans and Faunus. I should have seen this a long time ago." Sienna said before they all heard a loud thud from inside the Bullhead. A brief second later, the bullhead they were on shook heavily and footsteps could be heard from above. A moment later, the pilots and guards yelled.
"WHAT ARE YOU . . . . AAAAHHHHHH!" One of the pilots yelled
"NOT YOU, OH GODS NOT YOU!" The Pilot yelled before the screaming stopped. Once the screaming stopped, the bullhead started falling for a few seconds until it suddenly stopped and the airship started going down. After few seconds, the bullhead landed on the ground shortly afterwards. A hand had bust through the door and it was ripped off. When Adam and the others saw who freed them, they saw that it was Azrael himself.
"The Mad Dog." Sienna Khan said before Azrael spoke
"Come on out, there's a few things we need to talk about." Azrael said before many of them stepped out of the airship. Once they all stepped out, Azrael destroyed the cuffs and after doing so, Sienna spoke up
"Why did you free us, so you can kill us before we talk about our association with you?" Sienna angrily asked
"You'll see." Azrael responded before one of the other pilots appeared and stood beside Azrael. One second later, the pilot transformed and it was revealed to be Neo.
"I remember, you were with Roman." Adam said before Neo gave a glare at the mention of the lost Crime Boss
"Neo is currently grieving at the loss of Roman. So I would heavily advise against speaking ill of the dead." Hazama said as he suddenly appeared
"I remember you as well Terumi, where was our support when we attacked Haven's CCT Tower? The militia from the traitors have blindsided us and played a role in our defeat." Adam angrily stated to Hazama
"That was honestly regrettable and unexpected. The truth is that Cinder royally dropped the ball and not only ensured a spectacular failure. But it also made sure that things are going to be much harder from this point on. Right now, I'm doing everything I can to mitigate losses." Hazama told Adam and Sienna
"By what, cutting loose ends by killing us?" Adam angrily asked while on guard
"You know my cover, if I wanted to kill you. It would be a lot easier to do it in Atlus. The Kingdom that hates the Faunus more than any other Kingdom. Or did you forget how you got that SDC branding scar on your face?" Hazama answered before he explained further
"Instead, I am here to fulfill our part of the promise and give you what you've rightfully earned. The chance to bring down Atlus." Hazama said further which surprised many of the Faunus
"The attack on the CCT Tower has proved to be a failure. It makes no sense for you to help us after that." Sienna Khan told Hazama
"Because the reason for your failure isn't entirely your fault. Like I said earlier Cinder dropped the ball and everything got worse from there. Another factor to your failure is that one of your own agents pulled the old heel-face turn and gave up good information for your planned attack. In fact Cinder's own plan was for her to have her cake and eat it too. While letting you all take the fall while trying to bring justice to the arrogant humans. Fortunately, I am not as short sighted as her and I see a lot of potential in all of you. Since you did good at Beacon, it's time to give you what you were promised. You will have to gather as many of your forces as possible. Before their rounded up and sent to the hoosegow. But with help from my associate, that won't be an issue." Hazama explained before Sienna angrily spoke up
"All you've done is give empty words that we're paying the price for. How do we even know that you will be able to keep your word in bringing down the Kingdom of Atlus?" Sienna Khan said before an individual appeared. When everyone looked to see who arrived, they see a young female with long purple hair
"You will do well to heed Terumi's words Sienna Khan." Izanami said getting more of everyone's attention. When everyone looked at her, they all didn't know what to make of her. Though the only thing they have is a sense of dread
"Who are you?" Adam asked
"Who I am does not matter, only your loyalty is. Agree to Terumi's proposal and you will be given what you've been promised and more." Izanami told the group.
"Seems like you have an interesting companion Terumi. Is this related to the boss lady in any way?" Azrael asked in a curious but unconcerned tone
"Not exactly, see working with Cinder and Salem is more of a professional obligation. This young lady here holds more authority and it will do you all a lot of good to not get on her bad side." Hazama said which angered Sienna further
"This is ridiculous, you expect us to just blindly trust your promises? For an individual that we know nothing about. I am tempted to kill you in front of this child." Sienna stated
"I am no child and you will watch your tone. Terumi insists that the White Fang can still be of use. I am not convinced of your potential or loyalty. If I see that my time has been wasted, I will kill you all with little more than a thought. It will not be hard and will take very little effort." Izanami warned the White Fang in a despondent tone
"We have to get out here." One of the members of the White Fang yelled before Hazama spoke up with more of a sinister aura
"I would advise against that. You see, we're taking a big risk in this little stunt. So either you come along with us or we will save Atlus the trouble and kill you all now. Opportunity is knocking, so either you answer with obedience or get put down like animals." Hazama stated while making several members of the White Fang afraid causing Sienna to take a fighting stance.
"If you think I'm going to give you my loyalty while you hold our lives over my head. Then you've underestimated me." Sienna angrily told the group
"Are you certain, I do not make idle threats." Izanami said before Sienna started to aggressively approach Izanami. Before Sienna Khan got too close, Izanami gave a quick glare at her and in a quick second a blast of energy was made and Sienna Khan disappeared, and a sphere of red aura was left floating in the air. At the sight of this, Adam along with everyone in the area has a look of shock with the exception of Azrael and Hazama.
"Impressive show of power." Azrael commented before Izanami spoke up
"So this is her aura, it appears that her semblance has awakened as well. This could be of some use." Izanami said as she took Sienna's aura before addressing everyone
"As I've said, it will take little more than a thought for me to kill any of you. Sienna Khan believed in showing strength where it's necessary. But foolishly believed that a simple show of strength is enough. Power needs to be maintained and your wishes align with my goals. Whether or not you choose to serve is inconsequential to me. If you refuse, I shall kill you all here and now, but if you agree to serve. Your reward will be greater than you can possibly imagine." Izanami explained before Adam approached her in a calm manner
"What reward would you grant us for helping you?" Adam asked in a curious tone
"You are correct in your views of the arrogance that the humans embrace. But I aim for something bigger. What my goals are is something you do not need to know. What you will know is that if you prove to be useful and succeed in ensuring the realization of my goals. You shall be part of a world that is to your preference." Izanami said before she showed Adam a vision
Within the vision, Adam saw that he was within the Kingdom of Atlas and saw that everything is different from how he remembers it. Adam saw that many Faunus are living in high quality homes with many humans living in impoverished conditions. As Adam saw more of the vision. He also saw the humans do various degrading and dangerous chores that many of the Faunus have been subjected to for years. For instance the humans are the ones in the Dust Mines and are suffering from horrible conditions. While the Faunus have become nobles and living the lives that many Faunus are deprived of. Even deeper within the Vision, Adam is seeing the four Academies of Remnant and sees that in front of each of the schools. A statue made in the image of Adam Taurus has been erected and it reads Hero to the Faunus who brought true justice to the world.
"Within this world, the humans serve and obey the Faunus. While the Faunus are living the lives that they have previously dreamed of. All those who have wronged you such as the SDC, are living lives that is below poverty. While many who have believed in you are continuing your noble work. Serve me well and this will be no vision, but a reality? Will you serve me with a renewed purpose. Or die a pointless death?" Izanami asked shortly before the vision ended.
At the moment, Adam along with the nearby members of the White Fang saw the vision and started to consider their options. On one hand, if they refuse to serve the mysterious individual, they will die as quickly as Sienna Khan. As it was demonstrated, it took a mere glare from the individual to kill Sienna Khan. Which is a frightening display of power from observation alone. Yet if they serve and succeed in what is asked. Then they will be given something that was thought impossible. A new world where the very thing they've been fighting for becomes a reality. Unlike Cinder and her allies, the White Fang were given a glimpse of the reward they will have if they succeed.
When Adam looked at this White Fang brothers and sisters, he saw that they were looking at him. Likely with the belief that his decision will influence their own. Adam himself is conflicted at the proposition. Personally, he would rather die than serve another human like Cinder. Yet this individual is different from anyone Adam has seen before. It's clear that she is immensely powerful and if the vision is anything to go by, then it is very possible what she can give will be greater than what Cinder can deliver. After thinking about the display of power and the vision of the reward. Adam made his decision.
"What will you have us do?" Adam asked with the remaining members of the White Fang standing by Adam in agreement
"Like I said, you need to gather as many members of the White Fang as possible before the hideouts are raided. After your forces are gathered, get ready to train and prepare for the next big thing. Because you have a big role to play for the Kingdom of Atlus. Phantom will take you to a few hideouts. Not all of them, because we can't risk exposing ourselves. But just enough so you can have enough forces to get the job done." Hazama told Adam
"Interesting companion you have, I assume she's someone Salem doesn't know about." Azrael told Hazama in an observant tone
"From my experience, it pays to keep a few facts close to the chest. It will be beneficial for all of us if you don't mention her to our mutual acquaintance." Hazama told Azrael
"Fine by me, it doesn't matter to me one way or another. For all I know, this could present an opportunity for me to fight some worthwhile people. Such as the Beast of Remnant for example. It doesn't look like this is going to cause problems for Salem and Atlas was going to have to be dealt with sooner or later. So you can count on my discretion." Azrael responded
"Thank you for understanding and I can assure you that soon you will have an incredible fight. Someone I know who can see the future confirmed as much. I would tell you more, but I don't want to spoil the surprise." Hazama told Azrael causing the large man to smirk
"Then I have something to look forward to." Azrael said before he left to return to Salem
"Since the remaining White Fang are going to be working for you. What exactly are you trying to achieve regarding Remnant. Are you a human or a Faunus?" Adam asked causing Izanami to give him an empty look
"I am above the notions of good and evil and I am no mere Human or Faunus. What I truly am, you couldn't even begin to imagine. Though what you can comprehend, I shall tell you. I am the embodiment of death." Izanami told Adam
(Haven's Courtyard)
After everything has settled down with both the White Fang's and Salem's forces failed attack. The Courtyard and the Grand Hall has been deserted after the police and local Huntsman and Huntresses have finished with their own investigations. Yet a single individual has proceeded to make his way towards the Grand Hall. When the individual stepped into the moonlight, it was revealed to be Jin and once he saw that the coast was clear. He continued his path towards his intended destination. Before he went further, he notice the presence of someone following him and after a few seconds. He used his sword and semblance to attack a nearby tree. After the tree was attacked, An individual jumped down and when Jin took a better look, he saw that it was Ren.
"You better have a good reason for spying on me like this." Jin said in a demanding tone while holding his sword
"He's not the only one." A female voce said which got Jin's attention. When they both looked to see who it is, they saw that it was Makoto
"That still doesn't answer my question as to why the two of you are following me." Jin said in a demanding tone
"Because I heard how you've been asking questions about what happened at the Main Hall before you arrived and when you went after Professor Lionheart. I also heard from Nora about the argument you and Ruby had. It wasn't hard putting the pieces together and I figured out that you would try something like this." Makoto explained to Jin
"I decided to come along as well in case things escalated." Ren briefly answered
"You two are acting on the assumption that you can stop me." Jin responded as he tightened the grip on his sword
"Back at Beacon a lot of people would say things about you behind your back. Me and Noel are the only ones who defended you and explained that there is good in you. You doing stuff like this only justifies the dislike people have for you." Makoto told Jin
"If you think I'm going to hesitate on following my beliefs because people don't like me. Then you've underestimated to a point where it's insulting. Besides, I have high standards for those who wants to follow a career where we're supposed to protect people. If people are willing to blindly accept carelessness and arrogance that will hinder our duties to protect people. Then we shouldn't even be Huntsman or else the deaths of mny will be on our hands." Jin explained to Makoto
"I get that you take things seriously, but you'll eventually have to work with people. A lot more is focused on trust than you think, without it it's all meaningless." Makoto stated to Jin
"I will help and protect them, but my trust hasn't been fully earned. I have been asking questions but too many things don't add up. Especially since both Yang and my idiot brother won't tell me about the specific details within the Vault." Jin explained to the two
"But to do things like this is underhanded. You've heard what was said and there will be no more secrets from anyone. Come on Jin, you don't need to do this." Makoto said in a pleading tone
"It's easy for people to say something, but there is a severe lack of follow through." Jin responded before Ren spoke up
"Maybe we can settle this without things escalating to an intense argument. Especially since it's still late and everyone is still tired from all that's happened." Ren said causing everyone to think for a moment before Makoto spoke up with an idea
"It's clear that your determined to do this, so I have an idea that's a good middle ground." Makoto told Jin
"I'm listening." Jin said
"You can do your investigation, but both me and Ren go with you. We will not interfere in any way. If you need our help with something we'll help. But if you don't find anything that contradicts anything, then you will drop this and make more of an effort to trust our friends. I'll even help you if I need to. We've all fought side by side each other multiple times and we need to trust each other. Otherwise, what's the point of having each other's back with our lives on the line?" Makoto explained further
"Fine, I will accept those terms." Jin said before the three went towards their newly shared destination
(Mistral Main Hall)
Once the three arrived at the Main Hall, they saw that the police finished their investigation and the Main Hall was deserted. Because the Main Hall is clear, it was a lot easier for Jin, Makoto, and Ren to enter and see that everything is clear. They also saw the entrance to the Vault closed to prevent people from learning about the Vault and to prevent a public panic.
"Since the entrance to the Vault is closed and the key is with the Professor. How exactly are you going to open it?" Makoto asked Jin
"One of the best things about water is that it is very malleable. With my semblance, I can use it to create a key that matches the inside of the lock mechanism and with that. I will be able to open the entrance without forcing it open with brute force." Jin explained before he took out a container of water and used his semblance to put the water inside the lock and froze it. After a few seconds, the makeshift ice started to rapidly move and a moment later, the entrance opened up.
"Alright, I have to admit that is pretty impressive." Makoto said as her and the other two guys get on the platform and activated the elevator
(Haven's Vault)
It took a few minutes for the trio to enter Haven's vault. Once all of them arrived, they spent a few seconds being amazed at the incredible scope and marvel that is Haven's fault. The amazement was short lived due to Jin's determination to investigation the vault. There is a part of Makoto that hopes that Jin is wrong and this is all a misunderstanding. Yet out of the entire group that's within Haven. Makoto knew Jin for years and knows that despite his rough nature. He wouldn't do anything without a good reason.
Adding to the suspicions is that ever since the attack on Haven, Yang has been emotionally distant. The only significant change is that Yang and Ragna have spent hours talking to each other. Which confirms that something major happened within the Vault that pushed the two to reconcile. Though Makoto greatly trusts Yang, she also knows that Yang isn't above carelessly keeping secrets. Which is why that this will not only be a chance to bury the issues, but also give Makoto some peace of mind. Upon looking at the area, they saw an opened vault and Vernal's corpse. When they looked further they saw that there was some blood on the ground that is different from Vernal's due to the location of it.
"Well we're here and now you can investigate. But I don't know what you're going to find. Because everything looks exactly as we were told." Makoto said before Jin started to walk towards Vernal's corpse.
When Jin saw Vernal's corpse. He saw that her hands were clasped together and her eyes were closed. Jin felt guilty about looking over Vernal's corpse like this. But he has to know for certain whether everyone is telling the truth. Because with everything going on with Salem and that all of them being involved. Their can't be any doubts or concerns. One of the biggest frustrations Jin has with Ozpin is that not only is he keeping many secrets. But he also carelessly puts people in danger for reasons that they do not know or understand. Which also leads to unnecessary deaths. Thought the brief meeting with Salem is brushed off as pointless taunts. He can't deny the fact that she made a fair point about Ozpin. Especially since it's clear that the other schools ultimately follow him and his wishes.
Once Jin started to investigate, he gently moved her hands and noticed that there were some injuries around her torso. Upon looking at the injury even further, Jin noticed something very odd. He saw that injury that Vernal likely died from, resembles something similar to claws. After seeing this, he gently turned Vernal on her side and noticed that there was no blood or injury on her back and figured out that the entirety of the attack is on the front of Vernal's stomach.
When Jin looked at the position of Vernal's body and her injury. He started to think for a moment and started to visualize a few scenarios. Though before he could come to any conclusions. He needed to investigate further. Because so far from what he's seeing, the circumstances of her death is already raising some suspicions.
"Were you able to find anything so far Jin? Because I fail to see how the state of Vernal's death will change anything. If anything, this proves that not only she is dead, but strengthens both Yang's and Ragna's story of what happened." Ren told Jin
"I've found a few things of interest." Jin said before he brought out his sword
"Your not going to freeze the vault are you Jin?" Makoto asked in a curious tone
"No, but there is a function my sword has that Ragna failed to tell any of you. Back at Beacon, Yukianesa has been sensing some strange energy since the start of the year. After a couple of months, it turns out that the strange energy is the Maiden. It's clear to me that the Nox Nyctores has the ability to sense energy aside from aura." Jin told Ren and Makoto which surprised the two
"Hold on, Noel has a Nox Nyctores as well. So why is it her guns haven't sensed the strange energy like your sword is? I'm starting to think your making this stuff up?" Makoto said in a suspicious tone
"If you want clarification, Yukianesa's ability is what led me and Ragna to the Vault within Beacon. I don't know why Noel's Bolverk can't sense the power of a Maiden. But I know that Yukiensa is capable of it." Jin explained to Makoto
"Professor Ozpin did confirm that Jin and Ragna went inside the Vault and found the original Fall Maiden. I imagine that our Headmaster hid her well and if they found her. This adds credibility to what Jin says about his sword being able to sense magic. Besides there is still too much we don't know about the Noxt Nyctores aside from the fact that we've been lied to about their real name." Ren explained
"Then that settles it." Jin said as he raised his sword. After Yukianesa was raised, Jin concentrated on his sword, he started to sense traces of lingering energy that is different from aura. When he focused even further, he sensed that there were two different energy trails.
As Jin looked even further within the trail. He noticed that one trail has been spread throughout the majority of the area. It's obvious that this trail is likely Cinder using her newfound powers as a Maiden. Another thing that's clear is that from what Jin senses, Cinder was fighting Ragna.
Though the second energy trail is much more simple and easier to follow and that's what makes this interesting. It's interesting because Jin followed the initial trail and sensed that it not only led to the vault itself, but it also originated past Vernal. When Jin investigated the area even further. He sensed that a good amount of ice has melted and evaporated thanks to his semblance. Jin questioned even further what this meant but one thing is clear. None of the energy's came from Vernal and due to the position of her body, confirmed a major suspicion.
"Were you able to find anything?" Makoto asked in a slightly anxious tone
"A few things of interests." Jin responded
"Would you mind explaining so we can all be on the same page?" Ren asked
"For starters, I can confirm that Ragna did fight a Maiden here. So there is no disputes about that fact. Thanks to Yukianesa, I was able to sense the power of the Maiden in constant use. Where things get interesting is when I looked over Vernal and this is starting from her injuries." Jin told the two before he continued
"Her injuries are in the shape of claw marks and she was attacked in her stomach. Doesn't that strike any of you as odd?" Jin asked the two
"She was probably attacked after opening the Vault for Cinder." Makoto answered Jin
"That would make sense if not for a major detail I've noticed. For starters, how was she attacked? It would make sense if there was a creature of some kind within the vault. However, from what we were told and what we've seen. It's obvious that there is nothing in the Vault aside from sand and it looks like regular sand. Even the position of the body confirms this detail. Which confirms the possibility that Cinder attacked Vernal. Though we don't know for certain whether it was before or after the Vault was opened. I'm confident in the possibility that it was before." Jin explained to the two
"Why would Cinder attack . . . . oh no." Makoto said before she had a sudden and major realization on her face
"Exactly, Cinder was able to steal the original Fall Maiden's power. Given the arrogance that Cinder consistently displays, don't you think it's likely that she will try again with a different Maiden?" Jin asked further causing the two to have a thoughtful look
"That does make sense, even though the Maidens are required to open the vaults. It doesn't change the fact that they are people with immense power. Ignoring that fact would be a complete waste. Especially when you think about what a Maiden is capable of with enough time and experience." Ren explained agreeing with Jin
"OK, you've established how Vernal died, but does it really change anything?" Makoto asked in a slightly impatient tone
"It changes a lot, think about it Makoto. It's clear that Cinder had an interest in her power. Vernal clearly knows how to fight and even though Cinder attempted a sneak attack, Vernal reacted and likely attempted to fight. Yet Vernal still died easily so what do you think that means?" Jin asked causing the other two to have a sudden realization
"You two finally see it, Vernal was never the Spring Maiden. From the simplistic yet fatal injuries Vernal had. The powers of the Maiden could have easily allowed Vernal to defend herself or survive. Yet the claw marks was the only significant injury she has. If she was the Maiden and lived with the Branwen Tribe, then she should never have chosen this path. But all of this starts to make sense when you consider the fact that Vernal was the decoy and Raven is the true Spring Maiden." Jin explained his point even further
"It's a little hard to believe that Raven would do something like this. Assuming all of this is true regarding what you said." Ren told Jin
"But when you think about everything we know about Raven, this is entirely something that she would do. She abandoned her own daughter and when she saw her again after so many years. Raven praised Yang for finding her instead of apologizing. Raven knew about that trap but still allowed Yang to walk into it instead of trying to find another way to help. Instead of staying and apologizing so she can make amends. She chose to run and save herself." Makoto explained further
"Which means that the likelihood of both Ragna and Yang knowing that Raven is the Spring Maiden has significantly increased. Especially since it contradicts what we were told what happened in there. Or did any of you forget what we were told?" Jin explained further before Ren spoke up
"The true identity of the Spring Maiden is a major detail. They must have had a good reason for keeping it a secret from us. Especially if you consider the fact that Raven is still Yang's mother despite everything that's happened." Ren briefly explained
"It doesn't matter, because we are involved in the fight against Salem which involves the vaults and the Maidens. I don't know why they omitted such a detail but I hope they have their excuses ready." Jin said before he started to aggressively make his way to the exit. Before he went even further. Makoto stood in front of him blocking his path
"Jin, I know your mad, but please say nothing to them?" Makoto asked in a worried tone
"We are risking our lives just like they are. Yang demands that we are honest with each other and she still kept a secret from us involving something crucial. While my brother has showed that he learned nothing from his mistakes and if this continues we will be sure to regret it. I refuse to allow this to stand." Jin explained to Makoto
"I understand what you're saying and you've made several good points. But please try to look at it from Yang's point of view. She's dealing with a lot right now. Months ago she lost her arm and recently reunited with her mom. A woman who showed that she doesn't really give a damn about her. Yang has a way of wanting to give people a chance. So don't you think that Raven deserves a chance to redeem herself because she's her mother?" Makoto asked in a pleading tone
"Raven is the leader of a bandit tribe that robs and hurt people. Is allowing Raven a chance to redeem herself fair to the many victims of her crimes? Using family ties as an excuse will only go so far. Especially if those same people refuse to chance or face the consequences of their actions." Jin explained in a bold tone
"I'm not saying to let this go. I'm just saying give Yang some time to process this and eventually trust us to tell us the truth of what happened. If we try to force this out of her then it will do a lot more harm than good. What would you have done if this was Tsubaki, Weiss, or Saya?" Makoto asked before she spoke further
"I know it's a lot to ask for given the type of person Raven is. But just give it some time so that Yang will be ready to tell us. This has to be overwhelming for her and if we add more to it, then everything will be worse. She's made some mistakes but hasn't she earned the chance to try to redeem herself?" Makoto asked Jin causing him to think for a moment with a disgruntled look before he spoke
"One more chance, if they act with carelessness and arrogance one more time. Then I will act to the best of my judgement. I assume that's fair and satisfactory?" Jin told Makoto
"That's fine, I can accept that." Makoto said before Jin made his way to the elevator. Once Jin was waiting for Ren and Makoto in the elevator, Makoto and Ren walked towards the elevator
"I see that Yang is important to you." Ren told Makoto in a low tone
"She is, she's as important to me as Nora is to you." Makoto told Ren in a slightly teasing tone
"It's not like that." Ren quickly responded
"Keep telling yourself that." Makoto quickly responded
(Mistral's Lake)
After the battle of Haven has ended, there was an air of awkwardness between Ragna and Yang. It is clear to everyone that the tense aggression between the two have died down and chances for the two to reconcile is a real possibility. Though the process of the two patching things up is complicated. Therefore, once they fully recovered they decided to get to a secluded location and the lake that is near the house under the beautiful moonlight was the idea location. Due to the fact that it will be just the two of them and the location is peaceful as it is graceful. Beneath the moonlight, Ragna and Yang spent several hours talking about everything that happened. There was no yelling and the two listened to each other. Eventually, there was a calming silence as the two understood what each other was going through.
"So that's what you went through. From barely surviving against Terumi and having to fight for your life against Hakumen and almost died. It's . . . nice to see that your still alive. I'm also sorry for what was done to you and your family, especially now that the world sees you as the Beast of Remnant." Yang told Ragna
"It doesn't bother me, right now all I care about is getting revenge. With Cinder gone that means all that's left is Terumi. I'll even get Salem for good measure since she's the one who gave the orders." Ragna told Yang
"Thank you for sticking up for me to Mo . . . Raven. I also want to thank you for keeping the fact that she's a Maiden a secret. I want to believe that she can change and do the right thing. But I'm starting to realize now that it's wishful thinking. Sister Celica is an incredible mom an your lucky to have her as a mom." Yang told Ragna
"Thanks, of all the people I've met. She's one of the first people that believed I could do it. She didn't like the fact that I'll be putting myself in danger. But once she saw that I'm determined to do it. She just wanted me to focus on protecting people." Ragna explained to Yang
"I see, it's good to have encouragement." Yang told Ragna
"I'm sorry that I lied and hurt you Yang. When Cinder threatened my family I didn't want to make things worse. Then when I found out that Nu went through something horrible, I couldn't bring her in knowing that she'll be punished harshly. Then when I found out later that she's my sister, that made me more determined to save her." Ragna explained himself to Yang
"I understand, if it were Ruby I would stop at nothing to help her. Especially since I put her in danger when I searched for my mother when I was young and stupid." Yang told Ragna before she spoke further
"Talking to you like this is nice, I never realized how much I missed this. But once we do that other thing we agreed to, it will fill even nicer." Yang said as she stood up and grabbed her overcoat
"I'm determined, but are you sure you want to do this. I'm not the kind of person to hold back on something like this." Ragna said as he started to take off his own coat
"I'm sure, I know that we spent hours talking but I want us to make sure we don't have any lingering aggression towards each other. So aside from video games, what better way do we have to release some aggression. The answer is physical activity." Yang said as she started to do some stretches
"Remember, no weapons, no aura, and no semblance." Ragna said as he stretched as well
"Since we both have new arms, that should even things a bit." Yang said before both her and Ragna started to take up a fighting stance. Once the tense air passed, Yang spoke up
"LET'S SEE WHAT YOU GOT RAGNA!" Yang yelled before the two charged towards each other
Once the two got close, both Ragna and Yang threw several quick punching jabs at each other. Though just as quickly, Their attacks were blocked with little room to counter. The quick attacks lasted for a few seconds until Yang decided to change tactics and proceeded to do a sweep kick against Ragna. Unable to act quickly enough, Ragna tripped and fell to the ground much to Yang's satisfaction. While Ragna was down, Yang performed a follow up attack and tried to punch Ragna while he was down on the ground. Reacting quickly, Ragna rolled to the side and avoided Yang's follow up attack.
After avoiding the attack, Ragna quickly recovered and delivered a strong uppercut against Yang. While Yang was staggered from the attack, Ragna proceeded to go through with a follow up so he can capitalize on the moment. Before Ragna's follow up attack could land. Yang saw the punch coming and quickly grabbed his arm and tossed Ragna to the ground. Before Ragna could do anything, Yang delivered a strong downward punch and landed a strong hit against Ragna. Once the attack was landed, Yang jumped back to avoid a potential attack from Ragna.
"Not bad Yang." Ragna confidently said before he assumed a fighting stance
When Ragna resumed his fighting stance, he aggressively went after Yang. Once he got close he threw a punch aimed at Yang's face. Seeing the punch coming, Yang made a motion to grab Ragna's arm again. Seeing the same move coming, Ragna quickly pulled back his arm and with his other arm he punched the side of Yang's torso and delivered a swift kick to her stomach. The kick was strong enough to send her back a small distance. A brief second later, the both of ran towards each other and delivered a strong punch with their right fists and punched each other in the face.
After their punches were delivered, both Ragna and Yang were staggered for a brief moment. Once they recovered, the both threw another punch and this time their fists collided with each other. Once the fist clash ended, Yang used her speed to quickly get behind Ragna and performed a suplex on her that's similar to what Bullet has done to her back at Beacon. Before Yang could get away, Ragna used his legs to do a leg lock on Yang and it tripped her up. Shortly afterwards, the both of them quickly recovered and they rushed towards each of other, once they got close to each other, they delivered a strong uppercut to each other and recovered enough strength to deliver one pore attack before they knocked each other down. Once the both of them were down, they stared at the night sky and took in the moment of a friendship restored
"Your pretty good Yang." Ragna told Yang in a satisfied tone
"Same to you, now let's get back to the house before everyone starts thinking we killed each other. You wanna call this a draw?" Yang asked Ragna
"Yeah, I think we got out whatever lingering aggression we have for each other left." Ragna said as both he and Yang stood up. Before they gathered their things and returned to the house. As they were walking Yang felt a mixture of emotions now that she is on better terms with Ragna. She couldn't describe these emotions, but for the moment, she decided to put these thoughts out of her mind. Especially since she has her girlfriend.
(The House)
After everyone returned and were rested. They all decided to spend the next few hours celebrating a hard won victory. With Cinder and her allies publicly known and on the wanted list. Along with the Relic safe with them, most of them decided to relax and have a good time.
"We won, it was a hard fought battle and despite several close calls. We have secured the Relic and stopped the forces of evil. If this were a comic or TV show, I bet that we would become world renown heroes." Nora enthusiastically said to the group while drinking ginger ale soda
"Exactly, tales of our noble deed will be passed on to many. People will follow the path of righteousness by inspirations from our actions alone." Bang said with just as much energy
"It's hard to believe that they're not related to each other." Blake commented while Nora and Bang spoke celebrating their victory with the others.
"Given what we've accomplished, I supposed they should feel happy. I am glad to see your back, but I'm surprised your taking everything we've told you in stride." Weiss told Blake
"I'm a little surprised too, everything from Salem, the Maidens, the relics, and the three Azures. It's overwhelming, but since we're determined to protect people we should learn to take things calmly." Blake responded. Before they noticed someone enter and saw that it was Jin coming inside with Ren and Makoto.
"Which reminds me, I'm still surprised that Jin has one of the three Azures. It's called the Power of Order right?" Blake asked
"Yep, there's a lot we still don't know about but it has helped us out with the Grimm Breach and with well . . ." Weiss trailed off before Blake spoke
"I know, so Ragna has half of the Black Beast's soul within him. It can't be easy to deal with. Especially since the world is calling him the Beast of Remnant." Blake said
"Yeah, now the Faunus are being killed because they all think they had something to do with this. Which reminds me, thank you for helping us back there." Weiss said in a grateful tone
"It's the least I could do." Blake said before Ruby stepped in
"Enough with the heavy stuff now let's have some fun." Ruby excitedly said before they saw both Ragna and Yang step in. Ragna and Jin shared an intense glare with each other as if they were ready to fight. But they also know that it's not the time or the place for it and decided to just move on.
"Things look better for those two." Makoto said as she stood near Jaune while he's drinking the soda as well
"It's a little hard to believe to be honest. A few days ago there was a lot of tension but now things feel like their much better between them." Jaune told Makoto in a curious tone
"They spent a while talking to each other. Though when they realized that talking in a house full of nosy people could get awkward. They went outside." Makoto told Jaune while she drank the soda as well
"I'm a little surprised that your not going well . . . . stalker psycho mode." Jaune told Makoto before he received an awkward look from Makoto
"Just because there's an over abundance of TV shows that portray many lesbians in relationships as stalking psychos. Does not mean that it's true, I know there's history between Yang and Ragna and they need to settle things. Besides, I happen to trust Yang." Makoto said before she had a brief and thoughtful look on her face before Jaune spoke up
"When do you think we should tell them about Lambda and Kokonoe?" Jaune asked
"Let's wait until things are settled down. Things are tense and we don't want to risk us turning against each other. At least until we secure the Relic. For now, let's relax before we get back to more hard work." Makoto said before they drank and relaxed a bit
"They seem to be enjoying themselves." Qrow commented after seeing everyone
"Given what we've done, they've more than earned this. It's not often they will have moments like this to relax so this is more than acceptable." Ozpin told Qrow while they looked over the group
"As for what we should do now. You said earlier that we should be going to Atlus so we can secure the Relic. But that embargo and the closing of the border does not make that an easy task Oz." Qrow told Ozpin
"True but it is the best course of action that's available to us. Without the Spring Maiden we can't close the vault and traveling with it presents too many risks. Since it won't be too long before Salem knows we have it. Atlas has the resources and manpower to protect the Relic. But it will give us all a stable location to be at. There is also the added benefit of being near Noel Vermillion since she has the Eye of Blue." Ozpin explained to Qrow
Two birds, one stone. Though Noel having the Eye of Blue does present the possibility that Terumi might have an interest in her as well." Qrow told Ozpin
"That is true, he hasn't done anything as far as Jin Kisaragi. But if Noel is away from us and those we trust. That creates vulnerabilities that we can't ignore. The sooner we can ensure Noel's safety, the sooner we will be able to take actions against Terumi." Ozpin told Qrow
"We also have to do something about Izana. Don't forget, she did come with us and I want us to ensure her safety." Oscar told Ozpin
"That's right, fortunately, we have a week to figure out what to do with her. Since all train services are disabled due to the attack against Haven. It will give us plenty of chances to rest and come up with a plan." Ozpin said before they all started to hear the sound of clapping. After a few seconds have passed, the clapping started to get louder and everyone looked at the source. When they all saw who was clapping, they see a girl with long purple hair. At the sight of her, Oscar took over.
"Izana, is everything OK, what are you doing here?" Oscar asked in a concerned tone
"There were several tasks I needed to do. But I have come to give you all praise, despite the circumstances. You have all accomplished an impressive feat on this very night." Izanami responded before Qrow spoke up
"What feat are you talking about?" Qrow asked before he grabbed his sword
"Your victory over Salem's forces and the retrieval of the Relic. I know I am not mistaken." Izanami said which surprised everyone
"How did you know about any of that?" Jaune asked as he was prepared to grab his weapon
"I have my ways, though you have done well, it's only fair that I warn you. Besting Terumi will not be as easy by comparison. So you will do well to listen to Rachel Alucard's warning Ragna the Bloodedge and Ruby Rose." Izanami said which surprised Qrow, Ozpin, Ruby and Ragna as well. This time Ragna called over his sword and aimed it at the mysterious individual
"Now you're going to answer our questions. Who are you and how do you know all of this?" Ragna said as he aimed his sword ready to attack
"I wouldn't do that if I were you Rags. I know the cat taught you how to fight. But isn't it important to pick your battles and look before you leap. Unless you want a repeat of what happened at the Tower." Terumi said as he suddenly appeared. At the sight of Terumi, everyone in the house had an enraged look on their face especially Ragna.
"TERUMI!" Ragna yelled as he charged towards Terumi
"Phantom." Izanami said before a cloaked purple figure appeared. A brief second later, a monitor appeared with Kokonoe's face and it came from Lambda
"EVERYONE GET AWAY FROM . . . .!" Kokonoe tried to warn before it was too late. A brief second later, Phantom created a strong flash of energy and it was strong enough to not only knock everyone back. But also make everyone unconscious. After everyone was out cold, Neo stepped into the house and saw the scene along with Izanami and Terumi
"Was it necessary to provoke him the way you did? Your provocative actions never ceases to confuse me." Izanami told Terumi
"I've always wanted to do that cool villain entrance that taunts others. The opportunity was there and I took it. Still I didn't think we would be able to do it this easily. Regardless as such, Phantom's spell will make sure they all will forget about this moment as well as the individual named Izana. Kokonoe wasn't hit with the spell blast so she might be a problem. Especially if she saw you and decides to speak to a certain shitty Vampire." Terumi responded as Izanami looked at everyone
"Her position will prevent her from doing anything problematic. If she'd have embrace the gifts of her mother, she might be worth some of my concern. As it stands, she is merely an annoyance." Izanami told Terumi as she looked around. She looked for a few seconds, until she found the Relic that is near Oscar. At the sight of the Relic Izanami made her way over there.
"They have done well in stopping Salem's forces from retrieving the Relic. Ragna even deserves praise for besting the Fall Maiden. But none of them have earned the answers they seek." Izanami said as she placed her hand on the Relic of knowledge and transferred some of her energy towards it.
Neo on the other hand started to aggressively make her way towards an individual that she is eager to see. At the sight of Ruby, Neo has a look of pure rage on her face and once she got close. She activated the blade in her umbrella and aimed it at Ruby. A brief moment later, Neo made a motion to stab Ruby with the intent to kill her. Before the blade could reach her, the stabbing motion was put to a stop. When Neo looked to see who stopped her, she saw that Terumi grabbed her umbrella and gave him a glare.
"I brought you along so you can see that not only I'm a man of my word. But to also show that I can deliver on what I promised." Terumi told Neo while he still received her glare before he continued to talk to her
"I know how you feel, killing them right now will prevent a lot of potential problems. But there is something you need to understand Neo. It would go against the senses of wisdom to destroy tools before they are used. They have a part to play in the plan and it's not in my interest for them to die . . . yet. Besides, this helps you too Neo." Terumi said causing Neo to give him a questioning look
"Kill Ruby now, then she will die a martyr with everyone following her example. But if a plan I have in motion goes through, then her death will be even more sweet. She will know the very despair you felt when Roman died. When the hope she has for the world and people is shattered beyond recovery. While her spirit breaks along with her resolve. Then she can die by your hands. Doesn't that sound even better?" Terumi asked causing Neo to think for a moment before she nodded in agreement
"Exactly, with her suffering her death by your hands will make your revenge much sweeter. They have a role to play and once they do what I need them to do. Then the plan will fall in place perfectly. I just need you to be a bit more patient." Terumi told Neo before they left
"What will you do now? Since your officially parting ways with the group." Terumi asked Izanami
"There is an interesting individual that could be of use. Reanimation is possible as long as I arrive at the destination soon." Izanami told Terumi
"I have a good idea as to where you're going. Tick Tock, time to revive the croc." Terumi told Izanami
"I will expect you at the Murakumo Lab that's closest to Argos." Izanami told Terumi
"I'll be there as soon as I can, I need to speak to Salem about a follow up to the failed mission. It's obvious that these people are going to go to Atlas, which will put the plan in motion. But before I give Salem an update, I need to stay in the City of Haven for a while longer. Because some people are about to converge and I don't want to miss anything." Terumi said before he started to leave before he gave one more look at Ragna
"Don't worry Ragna the Bloodedge, we will have a more proper reunion soon. Come to think of it, the Beast is overdue for a return." Terumi said with a sinister smirk
(Tenjo's Office)
Establishing a new Kingdom within Remnant is a very time consuming process. Not only do Tenjo need to confirm a lot of crucial details for Ikaruga. Details that involve resources, territory, even citizenship. Initially, Tenjo was prepared for an over abundance of meetings. What she wasn't prepared for, was the mountain upon mountains of paperwork. Yet once Ikaruga is established and makes its mark upon Remnant. All of the hard work will be worth it ten folds. As Tenjo was working, she received a scroll notification and upon looking at the message. She had a curious look on her face before responding to let the guest enter. A few seconds later, a knock came and Tenjo stopped with the paperwork.
"Come in." Tenjo said before the doors opened and two indivuals entered. The two people are Winter Schnee Atlas Military Specialist and Clover Ebi a member of the Ace Ops
"Thank you for seeing us so suddenly during your busy schedule Lord Tenjo. My name is Winter Schnee a Military Specialist of Atlas and my trave lcompa nion is Clover Ebi, the leader of theAce Operatives. General Ironwood apologizes for not coming himself. However, recent circumstances has greatly limited his activities." Winter told Tenjo
"I understand, despite the concerning reports I'm hearing regarding Atlas such as the border closing and the Dust Embargo. I know that the General is only doing what he thinks is best for Remnant and the Kingdom." Tenjo responded to Winter
"Thank you for understanding, as for the reason we're here. We have a letter for you that is strictly for your eyes only." Winter said before she handed Tenjo the letter and the leader read it. As Tenjo was reading the letter, her eyes widened for a brief moment before she regained her focus and decided to finish reading the letter. Once Tenjo was done, she looked at both Winter and Clover and decided to give an answer.
"I know that my response will be written. But I will tell you in case the General questions either of you. Tell him that I understand his concerns, but I cannot abide by his unreasonable requests under any circumstances." Tenjo responded causing Winter to speak up
"Lord Tenjo, with all due respect there is a lot more going on than you know. The General is doing the best he can and is following what he believes in. If you could just give him a chance. Then things will be better for all of us." Winter told Tenjo
"I know that you both trust General Ironwood a great deal. But understand that I have my reasons for doing the things I do just as the General does." Tenjo responded which slightly surprised Winter. Before she spoke further, Clover put his hand on Winter's shoulder
"We have her answer Winter, we'll leave once we receive her lettered, formal response." Clover told Winter before she regained her composure
"I understand." Winter told Tenjo before the both left the office. After Winter and Clover left. A large muscular man with a thick beard entered the office
"Goldlewis, I have a task for you after a letter response is written and given to Winter and Clover." Tenjo told the large man
"Sure, what do you need me to do?" Goldlewis asked
"I need you to organize Roni-Gai's defenses and mobilize them." Tenjo told Goldwis
"Do you think Ironwood is planning an attack?" Goldlewis asked in a concerned tone
"It's hard to say, the General's letter states that he's increased his interest in Ronin-Gai's resources and is now demanding we share them with Atlas. He also knows about my plan to establish the Kingdom of Ikaruga." Tenjo told Goldlewis
"Only a handful of people knows that, I'll look into a possible leak." Goldlewis said before Tenjo spoke up
"There's no need, nothing crucial was revealed and this gives me the chance to test the waters for the reactions from the other Kingdoms regarding a new Kingdom. My concern comes from not only the General's increased interest, but also a few details he's implying. If my suspicions are true, then his response might be intense and our defenses needs to be prepared so I can have a piece of mind. I doubt he will act this soon, but from personal experience, anything can happen." Tenjo explained to Goldlewis
"I understand, I'll get started immediately." Goldlewis said before he left the office. Once she was alone, Tenjo stood up to face the window in deep thought
"I'm sorry everyone, but if General Ironwood knows about Take-Mikazuchi. Then I may have put you all in danger. I just hope he sees reason before it's too late." Tenjo said in a concerned tone
(Atlas Entertainment Center)
It was a pleasant surprise for Mai to not only show up in a very happy mood. But for her to also propose a girls night out. The chance for her to spend time with a longtime friend was too good to pass up. It will also be a nice change of pace from practicing new recipes. Something that her parents also insisted on. After changing into her street clothes, Noel left for the Entertainment Center. Once Noel arrived, she noticed a lot of people were staring at her and she heard different whispers.
"Oh my gosh it's her." One of the whispers said
"Doesn't she have a show in a few minutes. I think she's here to mingle with the fans." Another fan whispered
"But this is her debut show, the previews were good but I don't think it would draw in a large crowd.
"Noel!" Mai yelled quickly getting Noel's attention.
"Mai, you made it, you look great." Noel happily said as she gave her friend a welcoming hug
"Thanks Noel, sorry I'm late. I lost tickets and I had to look for them. Thank goodness I found them and they were in my pocketbook this entire time." Mai said in a slightly embarrassed tone
"It's fine, I'm glad to see that your able to make it though. I'm sorry that Tsubaki couldn't make it." Noel told Mai
"It's fine, Tsubaki was determined about doing her work as a Huntress and she wanted to make sure our team was prepared. She insisted on us having a good time so we will enjoy the show for her sake as well. Besides, there's always next time." Mai explained to Noel
"The Entertainment Center is packed, I can't imagine it being easy getting these tickets." Noel said causing Mai to have a confident smirk
"Well ever since me and my team became Huntsmen and Huntresses. We took on different missions. One of the people who fought at Beacon with us passed the Hunter's Initiative program and we took part in a mission with her. As thanks for helping her she gave me some tickets for her show today." Mai explained to Noel
"I've heard people say that this is someone's debut show. Is it the person who gave you the tickets?" Noel asked
"Yep, today is debut night at the Entertainment Center. A lot of people who want to break into the entertainment industry would perform and make their debut and if enough people apply and are approved, debut night will happen. The person I worked with also fought with us at Beacon. She even has the first show tonight." Mai told Noel
"I thought I recognized you." A female said quickly getting Mai and Noel's attention. When they saw who spoke to them. They see a woman with blue hair in a white and black outfit. Accompanying her is a male that Mai recognizes.
"I remember you two, Dizzy and Ky." Mai said as she gave a hug to Dizzy
"Mai, it's good to see you again. I see that you're with your friend. I remember her from the tournament." Ky said after seeing Noel
"Yep, this is my good friend Noel Vermillion. I also remember you Kai, what are you two doing here?" Mai asked in a slightly concerned tone
"Me and Dizzy got tickets to a debut show and we decided to make it a date. The both of us are engaged." Ky said causing Dizzy to have a bashful look and both Mai and Noel to share a look of pure happy
"Congratulations, please let us come to your wedding." Mai excitedly said before Noel spoke up
"I've always loved weddings, please invite us?" Noel asked in a pleading tone
"Of course, I don't have many close friends and you all look like great people." Dizzy said much to the excitement of both Noel and Mai. While the three girls shared in the excitement, Ky spoke up
"It looks like the show is about to start." Ky said causing the small group to look at the stage when the announcer started to speak
"Welcome everyone to Debut Night at the Atlas Entertainment Center. Where many hopefuls display their talents and skills. Could this be the start of new talented hopefuls, this will be the night to find out. Now let's start with the first entertainer. She has graduated from the Academy and is one of the students who fought valiantly at Beacon. She's a Huntress that's easy on the eyes and talented with a yo-yo, give a warm welcome to Bridget." The announcer said before he left and several teddy bears flipped onto the stage. After the bears arrived, Bridget rode on to the stage with a scooter made with her yo-yos. Once Bridget got off the yo-yo scooter. She started to perform several yo-yo tricks in perfect rhythm and choreography with the bears. While Bridget was doing the yo-yo tricks, she was singing a newly released song.
"The town inside me
And everyone's voice
Only I'm not there
Just watching from afar
I can't go home
Because I'm afraid
Something will change
Me without me
I'm the one to blame
I've moved on, by my own will
I had nothing else I wanted to do
Wasn't hard, but I didn't hate it
I did not even like it
I've been patient, but it was bearable
I've had a gray haze for a long time though
I never found out, what it was I
It's my stress, that's for sure
I never wanted to run away
I was very motivated
Then what is, this feeling?
Who would I ask?
I've been patient, but it was bearable
I've had a gray haze for a long time though
I never found out, what it was I
Tastes like vegetables I don't like
The town inside me
And everyone's voice
Only I'm not there
Just watching from afar
I can't go home
Because I'm afraid
Something will change
Me without me
I'm the one to blame
I'm not waiting
For Santa Claus
I already have the gifts just can't open the box
(just can't open the box)
I know all about it, no one can stop it
Unless I just had to do something about it
"It's not even a case!"
I've been patient, but it was bearable
I've had a gray haze for a long time though
I never found out, what it was I
I hate the alarm clock I chose
The town inside me
And everyone's voice
Only I'm not there
Just watching from afar
I can't go home
Because I'm afraid
Something will change
Me without me
I'm the one to blame
I'm out of patience, my body is light
Let's paint the gray haze into sky blue
I know who you are!
I'm not leaving you again!
The town inside me
And everyone's voice
Only I'm not there
Just watching from afar
There is no where to go back, no where to go
It's all just food you know
Me without me
(I'm the one to blame)
The night falls, the place where I belong
No matter what changes, will no longer change me
No matter what, change
no, no, no longer change me
I can feel the light
even after the sun goes down" Bridgetfinished singing before she finished her yo-yo choreography performance. Once Bridget was finished, the audience cheered for the performance and Bridget accepted all of this with grace and happily bowed to everyone
"Wow, Bridget was incredible, I'm glad to see that all of her training has paid off." Dizzy said as she was cheering for Bridget
"You know Noel, she kind of looks like you the more I look at you two." Mai commented
"Thanks for the compliment and the invite. I'm glad to see she's so talented." Noel said as she enjoyed the rest of the show
(Dr. Polendina's Clinic)
After Polly spent several hours dealing with the numerous Grimm that were getting closer to the borders of Mantle. Pietro wanted to look over her internal systems to make sure she was up to date with the latest technology and software. Making the work much easier is his assistant Litchi. Due to her extensive medical knowledge and technological know-how.
"Thank you for helping me with Polly Litchi. I know that technology isn't your specialty, but your medical knowledge and adaptability not only helps my dear Polly. But it also helps keep me alive and well." Pietro said before he released a cough and Litchi tended to him
"It' my pleasure to help you Doctor, but I can't suggest enough that you take it easy. It's easy to forget, but aura is the manifestation of the soul and requires and shouldn't be used recklessly. Using a good portion of your aura to initially give Penny life was already risky enough. But for you to do it a second time is very severe. Quite frankly, your lucky to still be alive and you need to cherish it and not push yourself so hard." Litchi told Pietro in a concerned and slightly scolding tone
"I understand your concern but you don't need to worry. Polly is a lot stronger than Penny and I will do whatever it takes to make sure nothing happens to her. Losing Penny was honestly quite hard and I didn't know what to do with myself. So when Polly was born, I didn't look at her like a machine as many other people have. I saw her as a blessing and a chance to not only give something beautiful back to the world. But to also honor Penny's memory through her sister Polly. I will be careful, but as long as I know Polly is safe and happy. Then I really don't care what happens to me." Pietro explained to Litchi causing the woman to give him a gentle smile.
"Is there a special someone in your life that you'll do anything for Litchi? If I'm overstepping my bounds I apologize and I will stop. But you have such a gentle soul I can't help but to be a little curious." Pietro asked and explained further to Litchi
"It's fine Doctor, there is someone special who is very important to me. Though the situation with him is a bit complicated. I can't talk about it further but I am doing the best I can to help him." Litchi answered Pietro
"I understand where you're coming from perfectly Litchi. When my lab assistant Clementine got lost in an area full of Grimm. Her adopted father Lee went through a hoard of Grimm with nothing but a large piece glass and a cleaver. I treated him for hours after that but I commend his bravery. We'll move heaven and earth for the ones we love." Pietro explained further to Litchi before he saw a notification on his computer screen.
"It's just about time for Polly's system update. I have to go and run a brief diagnostic to make sure everything is ready to go. Would you mind waiting for me for a bit? Hopefully this shouldn't take too long." Pietro said before Litchi's scroll started to ring
"It's fine, I have to see who's calling me. It's probably nobody but you never know." Litchi said before she stepped outside the Clinic. Once she did, she answered the call.
"Hello." Litchi answered before a voice she didn't recognize spoke up
"You don't know who I am but I know you and your recent employer." The female said over the phone
"Who is this?" Litchi asked in a cautious tone
"My name is I-No and there is a task that you need to do." I-No told Litchi
"Why should I do what you say? I have half a mind to report you to the police." Litchi said in an aggressive tone
"Because for starters I'm just giving you call and you have no proof I did anything. Second, I know your recent boss and if you cause me any problems, your blob of a boyfriend will go sludge to $#!+. I might even make sure to bring him to a bunch of deranged scientists who will treat him like a lab rat. Just think of the experiments they will perform. He'll die in the process, but I sure it will be very informative." I-No said causing Litchi to have a horrified look on her face once she realized the implications
"Fine, I understand what do you want me to do?" Litchi asked in a defeated tone
"The good doctor will be doing a system update to that machine he calls a daughter. Before the update is complete, you need to connect your scroll to one of the devices that's connected to Polly. Do it for 30 seconds and remove your scroll. That is all you need to do, don't screw this up." I-No said before she hung up causing Litchi to have a conflicted look before she strengthened her resolve
Once Litchi renewed her resolve, she entered the Clinic and saw the Pietro was still at his computer. Seeing the window of opportunity, Litchi went to one of the mainframes and discreetly connected her scroll to it. After 30 intense seconds have passed, Litchi took back her scroll. A split second later, Pietro entered the room where Litchi and Polly is.
"Litchi, I see that your call ended. Is everything OK, you look a little tense?" Pietro asked in a concerned tone
"I'm fine Doctor, the call I received was a warning about a computer virus that is going around for people in Mantle who own computer. It was probably a prank or something but I got a little worried and decided to do a quick check on the mainframe. From what I can tell, everything looks good. It was probably just me being paranoid." Litchi told Dr. Polendina
"It's fine Litchi, I appreciate your vigilance but you don't have to worry. Anything I missed, Polly's own system will be able to pick up on it and she will be able to delete it with ease." Pietro said before he started to finalize the updates. While Pietro was on the computer again. Litchi received a message and she read it while the Doctor was busy
"Good job." The message said with a thumbs up before Litchi deleted it. As Litchi looked at both Pietro and a sleeping Polly, she has a look on her face that is of pure regret and guilt
"I'm sorry Doctor Polendina, I'm sorry Polly. I hate myself more than any of you could possibly imagine for helping these people. But if it means I have a chance to save him. Then I am prepared to do whatever it takes. Even crossing lines that nobody will ever forgive me for." Litchi thought to herself before she composed herself a second before helping Dr. Polendina further
(General Ironwood's Office)
It has been several weeks since Jubei arrived in Atlas. After confirming that the legendary warrior is cooperating and not causing any trouble. Ironwood felt at peace knowing that Jubei is extending his stay at Atlas. But from everything he's learned, he is now more anxious than ever. Making sure the plan to unite the world works is still a top priority. But complicating things is everything else he's learned. First about the Grimm Aura, then the Three Azures. Last but not least, that Terumi could stand to be an even bigger threat than Salem. The General knows that the fight against Salem has been going on for a long time. But if what is said about Terumi is true, then they need everything they can get to stand a chance against him. As General Ironwood was thinking about what to do next, Winter and Clover entered the office. Though by the expression on their faces. It's certain that Tenjo's response was not favorable.
"Let me guess, she said no." General Ironwood said in a tired tone
"That's putting it very mildly sir." Winter responded before handing him Tenjo's letter causing the General to take a quick breath before speaking
"I didn't expect her to agree to the requests so easily. I'm going to have to send a few more letters. I know that it's tedious but I need to show insistence." General Ironwood said before Clover spoke up
"Sir, I know that her cooperation is essential to some of your long-term plans. But how long do you expect to keep this up?" Clover asked in a concerned tone
"As long as it's necessary, Ronin-Gai having unique resources is something we already couldn't ignore. But if she truly does have a weapon that can destroy a Kingdom, then that raises more questions and this can no longer be ignored. By now, from everything I've done. Tenjo is likely mobilizing her defenses, in case I have an aggressive response. If I press her, it might present an opportunity in the long run which will make Salem a lot easier to deal with. She's planning her next move after Beacon and if she's already making plans for Atlas then we have to be prepared. It's already bad enough that she has one half of the Grimm Aura. I can only imagine what she'll do if she has Ragna and succeeds in resurrecting the Black Beast." General Ironwood explained to Winter and Clover
"Sir, that is not your fault. The responsibility to capture Ragna the Bloodedge was mine and I made the decision to choose Jubei in exchange for Ragna." Winter briefly explained before General Ironwood spoke
"You made the right choice Winter, if we'd have captured Ragna we wouldn't know what to do and we would not have any answers. Thanks to your decision making, we have some answers regarding Terumi and the three Azures and the legendary Hero is with us. You've put us in a better position than we were before and I'm proud of you for it." General Ironwood explained praising Winter before Clover spoke up
"I know it's a risk, but Tenjo might be more inclined to cooperate with us if she knows about Salem." Clover said before Ironwood spoke
"That might be true but it's too risky, that woman has always been shrouded in mystery and I don't know whose side she's fully on. If she's on our side then why would she keep the existence of a weapon that could destroy a Kingdom a secret? She's even trying to establish a 5th Kingdom Ikaruga." General Ironwood said
"I know the head of the SDC would love those unique resources. Natural resources that has elements of dust within them. Such as rocks, trees, even the grass. They managed to implement them into various clothes and tools." Winter said before the General spoke further
"Exactly, for now I just have to insist on cooperating through the letters. If I can arrange a meeting, that will at least give us a fighting chance. Before I forget, what's the progress with the Frea?" General Ironwood asked
"She has grown accustomed to me quite easily. Her memories have begun to fall apart but she still remembers me." Winter told the General
"That's good, I know I'm asking for something very difficult. If you want to stop this right now, I will completely understand." General Ironwood said
"It's fine sir, realistically speaking she doesn't have that much time left. It does seem cruel but this not only ensures the safety of the Winter Maiden's power and by extension Atlas. But we also make sure that this is done in a humane way." Winter told General Ironwood
"Thank you, I'll send you another letter to give to Tenjo. I see several trips to Ronin-Gai in your future. Your both dismissed." General Ironwood said before both Winter and Clover left. Once he was alone, General Ironwood looked outside with a solemn
"First we have to deal with Salem and now this. Tenjo I know you have your reasons for doing the things you do. But you need to work with me, if this keeps up then I will have no choice but to do something we'll both regret." General Ironwood said voicing his thoughts as he looked out the window
(Mistral's Undercity)
After barely escaping from Haven, Hazel and the group made it their top priority to get to safety. Bedman left them shortly afterwards but his whereabouts weren't important. What is important is not only giving the report to Salem. But also figuring out what Ozpin's group next move is. Due to the failed attack, there were wanted pictures throughout the City of Mistral. Fortunately, there is one location within the city that Hazel will be able to go to without any risks from the police. It's important because the Spiders group can provide Hazel the information he needs and after waiting a few days, the details are ready.
"Miss Malachite, I have returned as promised. Do you have the information that was paid for?" Hazel calmly asked
"Like I said, the Spiders always deliver on what's promised." Miss Malachite said with a smile before she spoke in a serious tone
"Though we had to take special precautions, due to an individual that's involved. You never told us that Ragna the Bloodedge was among the group of travelers. I'm confident in my group's skills at stealth. Yet risking the wrath of the Beast of Remnant presents problems that I would like to avoid. Risks that increases fees or certain hazards against clients." Miss. Malachite told Hazel causing him to give more lien
"I apologize for neglecting a crucial piece of information." Hazel told Miss Malachite before she accepted the money
"That's better, now as for the information we have for you. Like I said, the information is good but I doubt you'll find it significant. They have been at a specific location for the past few days. The only thing the Spiders was able to learn was that they've inquired about a train to the City of Argos. The trains are down due to a recent . . . . event. The train services will be up in about a week or two. After that, the group will likely board the train and go to the city of Argus." Miss Malachite explained before Hazel spoke up
"Which means they plan to go to Atlas. Thank you for your services." Hazel said before he left.
"Ragna and Atlas huh?" A cloaked man said as he overheard the conversation before he followed Hazel
After getting the information that he needed. Hazel decided to make his way back towards the group. Though after a few seconds, Hazel went a different direction and grabbed some Dust crystals from his bag. Once a few minutes have passed, Hazel started to speak out loud.
"It wasn't hard to notice you following me from the bar. This isolated place is good for dealing with stalkers. Especially since I don't need to be followed. What I don't know is who you are. How this ends depends on what you do." Hazel told the man before he removed his cloak. Once the cloak was removed, it was Sol. He once he grabbed his sword, he started to speak
"I was at that bar looking for some bounty gigs when I heard your conversation. Before I left Beacon, I heard how his family was attacked. If your interested in what's going on with his group. Then you should tell me why." Sol told Hazel
"If I don't tell you what you want to know." Hazel said as he tightened his grip on the Dust Crystals
"Then I'll get the information from you one way or another." Sol said as brought out his sword.
A brief second later, Hazel stabbed the Dust Crystals into his arms and quickly blocked an attack from Sol's sword. After blocking the sword attack, Hazel used the energy from the dust crystals to push back Sol and proceeded to rapidly punch him. Fortunately, Sol was able to block each of Hazel's punches before he used his semblance to release a blast of energy and pushed back Hazel this time.
After Hazel was pushed back, both him and Sol charged towards each other and the two fought against each other. Sol with his sword and Hazel with his fists. The intense attack clash lasted for a few seconds until each of their respective attacks clashed one more time and created an energy shockwave. The moment the shockwave dissipated, both Hazel and Sol were pushed back.
Hazel quickly looked and noticed some movement at a distance and realized that if this keeps up. Then eventually the police will arrive and it will make things much harder. Thinking quickly, Hazel decided to absorb a large portion of energy from the dust crystals and concentrated further on his aura and released a large explosion that blinded Sol. Once the bursting light dissipated, Sol found himself alone and angry at the fact that he lost the individual.
"Damn it, I lost him and it won't be long before the police arrive. Still this wasn't a complete waste of time. If some people are going after Ragna then I supposed it's only right that I help out now and again. It definitely beats the bounty work I've been given. Since they said earlier that Ragna might be heading to Atlas, then that's where I should go to back him up. Maybe I should have gone with Ky back to Atlas. But breaking in wouldn't be nearly as fun." Sol said as he started to think of a plan to get to Atlas.
(The Forest of Haven)
It has been several days since Cinder barely survived her fight against Ragna. Thanks to the powers of the Fall Maiden, she was able to survive getting stabbed through the stomach. Though the process itself was not easy by any means. After killing a stranger and taking her cloak and money, Cinder decided to lie low for a while and figure out a plan. By now, Salem will have learned about the failed attack and sooner or later Salem will know Cinder's role in the failure of the attack. Which means that Cinder cannot return until she finds a way to make up for failing. The trap was Cinder's best chance at killing Ragna and writing it off as an accident. Which would have the added benefit of also killing Nu. Along with the chance to be rid of Ruby as well. As it stands, the rage of failure haunts Cinder. Yet her failure is not as haunting as Cinder's pure hatred for Ragna. An individual who has caused her problems since the very beginning.
"That damn Ragna, once I claim the power of another Maiden. I will be more than a match for him. Once that happens, I will be able to kill him and exact my revenge." Cinder thought to herself before she did more thinking
"Unless Salem makes any major changes, she's likely making plans for Vacuo. That will give me time to come up with a plan to get the relic from the group. For now, I need to figure out what their next move is." Cinder thought further as she continued to make her way towards her destination. As she was walking, she felt a presence approach her and the sensation she's feeling is familiar yet different. She felt this before and the more she thought about it, the more she realized who was near her. Once she turned around, she saw that it was Nu.
"I know what you've done Cinder." Nu said in a calm tone while containing a lot of anger
"Nu, what are you doing here?" Cinder asked in a slightly panicked tone
"I could feel it when my Ragna is fighting. I could vaguely sense your aura and I know what you've done. You've tried to take my Ragna away from me. I've warned you what would happen if anyone tried to take my Ragna away. He is mine and mine alone." Nu stated to Cinder as she looked at her with an angry glare
"Nu, think about it for a moment. I had to defend myself and I am important to Salem's plan. You can't kill me and we need to work together." Cinder told Nu while prepared to summon her sword
"I told you what will happen if you tried to take him from me. Now you will pay for trying to separate us." Nu said as she summoned her swords
"Very well, killing you will be a mercy and a relief." Cinder said as she summoned her swords and ran towards Nu.
At the sight of Cinder coming towards her, Nu ran towards Cinder herself and a split second later, the two fought each other at an intense speed. Cinder would use her impressive speed and agility to try to attack Nu at potential openings. Unfortunately for Cinder, Nu proved to be much faster than she looks and was able to block a good number of Cinder's attacks. After Nu parried a good number of Cinder's attacks, she attempted to counterattack against Cinder.
Thanks to her skills, Cinder was able to avoid Nu's counterattacks and realized that in close quarters. The both of them are too evenly matched and things would go on for a long time. Thinking quickly, Cinder jumped away from Nu and created a set of bow and arrows and proceeded to fire at Nu. Reacting quickly, Nu quickly deflected each of the arrows that was fired at her with her swords. Knowing what Cinder is trying to do, Nu summoned several swords and launched them at Cinder to counter the arrows. Once the summoned swords and arrows clashed against each other, an explosion soon followed.
The moment the explosion dissipated, Cinder and Nu fought against each other at a furious and intense speed. Though Cinder is able to hold her own, she is starting to realize that fighting against Nu was a very poor decision. Because of the fact that not only is Nu a lot stronger than she looks. But she also hasn't fully physically recovered from her fight with Ragna. After several seconds, Cinder found herself on the defensive and a brief moment later. Nu was able to kick Cinder away a small distance. Before Cinder could go too far, Nu used her second semblance and created an anti-gravity seal beneath her. Cinder tried to get away, but knew that because of the seal, her movements have greatly slowed down.
Seeing an opening, Nu used her speed to repeatedly do fast slash attacks against Cinder. This continued for a few seconds before Cinder decided to use her maiden powers to push back Nu and break out of the anti-gravity seal. The moment Cinder used her Maiden powers. Nu released her seal and armored up ready to fight further. With the both of them powered up, they increased the intensity of their attack against each other and this time, each attack clash created a powerful shockwave.
Cinder started to focus more power into her attacks and launched a powerful fireball at Nu. A split second later, Nu destroyed the fireball, only for Cinder to get closer to Nu and tried to attack Nu at close quarters. Before Cinder could deliver a powerful attack. Nu summoned a large sword above Cinder. Seeing the large sword, Cinder focused a good portion of her Maiden powers to block the large summoned sword attack. Only for Nu to backflip Cinder into the air and summoned a portal in from of her. Once the portal was made, Cinder was hit by a large barrage of summoned swords. Despite Cinder having the powers of the Fall Maiden, it was not enough for her to withstand Nu's attacks and in a moment she was down to the ground. Cinder struggled to get up and before she could get up. An unpleasant face that Cinder didn't want to see, was standing above her.
"Well it looks like you lost." Hazama said in a teasing tone
"Terumi, why didn't you stop this?" Cinder asked in a demanding tone
"Now what kind of a man would I be if I stopped intense girl on girl action. Besides, you needed to learn a lesson and this was a good way for you to be put in your place. Which is being the failure that you are." Hazama said in a taunting tone to Cinder
"I am no failure, while you're just a snake." Cinder angrily said as her eyes glowed.
"Then let me explain how your such an arrogant and miserable failure. First after killing the only Huntsman who gave a damn about you. You allowed your power to get to your head and made it clear to Salem that you wanted to be feared. Ignoring the fact that there are people who stronger than you. Next if you were as capable as you thought you were, you would have actually succeeded in getting the initial power of the Fall Maiden instead of literally doing a half-assed job." Hazama explained to Cinder which enraged her even further
"Shut up." Cinder angrily said before Hazama spoke further
"Next, you did the stupidest thing by provoking Ragna and basically made yourself a target. Ever heard of a trope called bullying a dragon? Well, that's what you did and that dragon tore you to shreds. Then you thought you could undermine Salem's orders by making a deal with Raven so you could kill Ragna and Ruby. Knowing full well that you were told not to kill them and focus on retrieving the Relic. Its safe to say that because of your arrogance Salem is now in a worse position than before." Hazama told Cinder before he explained further while ignoring Cinder's angry glare
"When you have a taste of power you let it get to your head. You're like a child with a new toy. Who doesn't realize that she's destroying everything else. That is when things start to change. If your useful, then I have reasons to keep you around. But if you're a failure, then your entertaining and it's fun to watch and see how you'll fail spectacularly, but now you have become a liability. You see, a liability is nothing but a problem for my plans and if it's not salvageable. Then the liability will need to be dealt with. But I won't deal with you myself, since you've wrong Nu, it's only fair that she does the honors." Hazama said as he pointed upwards. Once Cinder saw what Hazama was pointing at, she saw that Nu was summoning many large swords and they were floating above Cinder.
"Salem will learn of this, once she does your as good as dead." Cinder smugly said before Hazama started to laugh
"Hahahaha, oh the fact that you think that's a threat is funny for so many reasons. I recorded the whole fight and you clearly attacked first. Which means Nu had no choice but to defend herself. Besides we both know that you were trying to find a way to overpower Salem yourself, so don't bother trying to use her as an ace in the hole." Hazama said which surprised Cinder
"How did you . . .." Cinder asked before Hazama interrupted
"Remember, my semblance is negativity. Through your negativity I can learn a lot about you. Even things you don't want other people to know. Though before you die, allow me to tell you a little secret." Hazama said before he leaned in closer to Cinder
"Salem's immortality is no threat to me in any way. In fact, if I really wanted to, I could kill Salem at any time. Despite the immortality that she has and use. What makes this even better, is that I'm not the only one who can kill her. But that's enough for you to know, so long Cinder. I'd say it was nice knowing you, but I hate liars and I don't tell lies." Hazama said before he jumped out of the way of Nu's attack
"No, wait Nu listen you don't have to AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Cinder said before she yelled as the large number of swords were launched at Cinder. Cinder's yell lasted for a few seconds until it came to a stop and among Cinder's corpse is a large pool of blood.
"How do you feel Nu?" Hazama asked before Nu slowly turned around
"I feel . . . .great, but I will feel even better once I have my Ragna." Nu said as her eye glowed an intense energy flame
"Now this is an interesting development, Nu is now the new Fall Maiden." Hazama said before he took Nu away from the area.
(A/N)
I have to announce that I'm going to be taking a break from Aura of the Azure. Though whether or not it will be before or after volume 6 of this story, I still haven't fully decided. The reason is because volume 7 and 8 of this story will be a major undertaking and I want to get to those volumes in the story without a risk of burnout.
The break will not last that long and it will not only give me a chance to focus on my other stories which needs my attention. It will also give me a chance to update the TV Tropes page for this story and I can plan out the future volumes of this story and make sure the quality is as good as I can make it. The break will also allow my to bring in more gag chapters for the story which are LONG OVERDUE. They will also be shorter than my regular chapter and much quicker to write. I will do the best I can to make sure the break does not last for too long.
Izanami doesn't care whether or not the White Fang will help. Terumi's insistence convinced Izanami to give them a chance. She wasn't kidding when she said killing them will be easy. Just as Izanami killed Sienna Khan with a glare. If there are questions regarding that, remember that she is the Goddess of Death.
Izanami also has the manifestation of Sienna's aura and semblance and it will be of use to her.
Jin was already cautious of everyone but the details of what happened in the Vault weren't adding up which motivated Jin to investigate the Vault himself. From what he's learned, he sees that both Ragna and Yang were lying about several crucial details. He would have done more, but it's on the strength of Makoto that he's giving them a chance. Whether or not this will come to a head. I won't reveal it, but you probably have a few ideas considering certain events in Volume 7 and 8 in canon.
Ragna and Yang spent hours talking and things are much better between them. As for why they fought, it was the best way for them to let out some steam and get any remaining aggression they have for each other out of their system.
Izanami did do something to the Relic of knowledge but what she did will be revealed soon
Since Bridget's release into Guilty Gear Strive is still fresh on a lot of people's mind I decided to implement her theme song into this chapter. It's also a good way to confirm that she will return along with Sol. I know I referred to Bridget as a male in a previous chapter but since the games confirms that she is a transgender female. I will treat her as a female from this point in the story. I will also treat her with respect and dignity.
As for the ending scene, I am confirming it now. Cinder is officially dead and Nu is now the new Fall Maiden. This was the major implication I was excited to bring into the story. Since Cinder is still alive past this point in canon, her death is a major deviation from canon. As for Nu being a Maiden, this will not bode well for certain characters. Especially if a certain individual is named Ragna.
So read and review
Thank you
