The sun rose as a new morning dawned on Mobius, the sunlight shining down on the planet, signaling the start of a new day for its inhabitants. However, on the Egg Fleet, it was a much different case for a certain black wolf who made his way through the halls before entering a large room with a massive computer screen along with multiple smaller screens that displayed certain areas of the fleet. Dr. Eggman sat in front of the screens, eyeing one screen that displayed a small yet sturdy steel box, about three feet in height. Whatever thoughts he had were soon cut off as he heard the black wolf enter the room, turning his seat to face the wolf.

"What's the status report?" the evil genius questioned.

"Everything is set for arrival, sir. Once we arrive, we have a more permanent hold for the hedgehog that he won't be able to escape from. Orbot and Cubot have made sure it is ready for when we arrive at the base." Raze responded in a stoic tone.

"Excellent! Despite the minor setback, everything is moving along as planned." Eggman said with a dark grin.

"If I may ask, sir, what exactly do you plan on doing with the hedgehog now that he's your prisoner? Surely you don't plan on just simply letting him rot in his cell when you know his friends will try and rescue him?" the dark wolf questioned, raising a brow in suspicion.

"Hm? What are you implying, Raze?" the doctor questioned, raising a brow in confusion and his tone slightly raising.

"What I'm saying is you can make the hedgehog pay for the countless defeats you've had because of him. Not kill him outright, but rather make him truly suffer during his remaining time in this world. If his friends come, including that white wolf, then they'll be stuck with an impossible ultimatum. Either they can leave 'peacefully' and the hedgehog lives, or if they try to fight, he can face a brutal demise. Whether they choose to leave or fight, his friends will meet the same fate either way, putting you in a prime position to take over Mobius like you've always wanted." the wolf said with a devilish grin, outstretching his claws before slamming them down on the floor, causing the room to shake a bit from the strength of the slam for a few seconds.

After thinking about Raze's plan for a few moments, Dr. Eggman gave a sinister grin, realizing just how effective this plan was, "I like this plan, Raze. Regardless of what happens, I will still win in the end."

"Precisely, doctor." Raze responded in a sinister manner.

Meanwhile, the cold breeze blew through the air as White Fang was fast asleep on the Tornado. So much had happened the previous day that the young wolf had passed out shortly after his conversation with Tails. The twin-tailed fox smiled as he saw the wolf resting peacefully on the wing, but his thoughts were soon cut off as he heard a beeping sound coming from the radar on the plane.

"What the?" the fox questioned as he took a look at the radar to figure out what was going on. Upon analyzing the radar, he saw that it was picking up something straight ahead and as he looked up, an all too familiar fleet soon came into view.

"White Fang. Wake up!" Tails exclaimed.

White Fang grumbled as his eyes slowly opened upon hearing the young fox call out for him, "Huh?.. What's up Tails?"

"Look straight ahead." the fox said with a confident smirk.

Once White Fang turned his head to see what his friend was talking about, he soon saw a massive, robotic ship in front of them. He saw some robots flying around it, realizing it must belong to Dr. Eggman.

"Is that the-.." the young wolf questioned, his mouth gaped open in awe.

"Yep. That's the Egg Fleet. They must have Sonic held somewhere on there since we were able to follow the scent you picked up from where he was ambushed." Tails explained with a thoughtful yet serious tone.

"Well, what are we waiting for? The longer we wait, the more time Eggman has to do who knows what." White Fang said as he stood and got in a fighting position, ready to go.

"Right. I should be able to get close enough for you to get on the main ship and track Sonic down. However, I doubt Eggman will make it easy." the twin-tailed fox said, knowing all too well how the evil doctor is with uninvited visitors.

"Welcome party or no welcome party, that won't stop us from fighting our way through and rescuing Sonic." the white wolf said confidently.

"Are you ready?" Tails asked with a confident smirk.

"Ready when you are, Tails!" White Fang responded confidently.

With a nod, all it took was a simple pull of a lever and the Tornado blasted off towards the Egg Fleet, ready to strike down anything that came its way.

Back on the Egg Fleet, Sonic was sound asleep inside his cell, finally passing out a short while after awakening from the nightmare he had the previous night. Despite the chains that were latched on his wrists and ankles, the hedgehog was able to get into a somewhat comfortable position. However, the peaceful slumber would not last as his ear started twitching upon picking up the sounds of heavy footsteps. At first, Sonic paid no mind to the noise, simply turning over in hopes of negating as much of the noise as possible, but after a couple moments his cell began to flip over as it felt like it was being picked up. Before the hedgehog could react, he found himself hitting his head against one of the walls as a result of the cell being flipped over, giving him a rather unwanted bump.

"Oww.. What the-?" the blue hedgehog grumbled groggily, rubbing his aching head as he sat up. It didn't take long for him to notice that his cell was being moved once he was fully awake.

'Where are they taking me now?' he questioned, not being able to see his surroundings well due to a lack of any light in his cell.

Rather than waste his energy in trying to catch anyone's attention, Sonic sat still as his cell moved, keeping his guard up for anything that may come his way. After all, he was still under the mercy of his nemesis, so he couldn't let his guard down even for a second. However, after a few minutes, everything had gone dark and Sonic's patience was really running thin. It was bad enough that he fell straight into a trap and got himself captured, but now he had absolutely zero clue on just what exactly Dr. Eggman was going to do with him.

Suddenly, the movement had stopped, but just as the hedgehog thought everything was done, he found himself being thrown out of the contraption and crashing on to the cold, hard steel floor. As Sonic tried to get up, he was quickly grabbed by some robots who were nearby.

"Hey! What's the big idea here!?" the hedgehog yelled angrily as he began squirming in an attempt to break free from the robots' grasp. However, he quickly stopped as soon as he heard an all too familiar evil laugh. Turning his head towards the source of the sound, Sonic gave an angry glare as he saw Dr. Eggman walk in the room, not in the mood to hear any gloating from the evil doctor.

"I see you've been greeted by my welcoming community already, Sonic." Eggman grinned as he got face to face with the blue hedgehog.

"You're one to talk. You were never one who liked providing any hospitality for your guests, and preferred destroying them. What made you change your mind, Eggman?" Sonic scowled, not liking the fact that his nemesis was so close to his face.

"It's quite simple, really. Where's the fun in destroying you when you can have front seats to see me take over the world?" the evil genius questioned, laughing as he pulled himself away from the hedgehog, "Why don't we show our dear rodent what will happen if anyone tries to interfere with my plans?"

"What exactly do you-!?" Before Sonic could finish, he found himself being violently thrown right into a very unwelcome liquid, water. It was bad enough that the hedgehog couldn't swim at all, but being shackled while being underwater made things much worse. He had no way of jumping out due to his restraints. Just then, a giant metal hand grabbed Sonic, and pulled him out of the water after what felt like forever.

"Consider this a sample of what's to come, hedgehog." Dr. Eggman said sinisterly as the hedgehog was regaining his breath, but before he could continue, the blaring sound of the alarm rang out through the ship.

"Raze! What's going on!?" the mad scientist questioned, scowling at the fact that his moment had to be ruined at the worst possible timing.

"You have intruders making their way towards the fleet, doctor." the black wolf responded through the loudspeaker.

"Heh.. The Tornado… The timing couldn't be more perfect. I better make sure my guests get a proper greeting by my robot army. After all, all guests should be welcomed by yours truly, but one mistake and it could be your last moments, Sonic." the doctor said darkly as he turned to leave the room, leaving Sonic dangling above the water with only a metal hand keeping him from falling in.

'Whatever you have planned, Eggman, you won't get away with it! That's a promise!' Sonic scowled as he saw his nemesis leave the room. First the evil genius attacks a whole pack of wolves and leaves a pup orphaned, then tries to kill an innocent wolf pup, and now this!? The mere thought not only made Sonic sick to his stomach, but it enraged him, so much so that a dark aura had started to appear around him but soon disappeared in a matter of seconds. It was one thing to try and destroy him, but killing innocents just for his own selfish goals was something the hedgehog could not allow to slide by any means. When he got out, Eggman was going to pay for his actions dearly.

Outside of the Egg Fleet, robots were flying out in a frenzy, ready to fight off any intruders. However, many of them would be destroyed quickly with a single shot, forcing more robots to come out each time. As the remaining robots were shooting, the Tornado flew past, weaving and dodging the attacks from the fleet. As the plane stopped spinning, White Fang leaped from the wing, launching himself towards the robots and destroying many of them with a single spin attack before landing back on the wing.

"White Fang! We're getting close to the main ship!" Tails called out from his seat.

"I should be able to track down Sonic if I can get on the ship. Most of Eggman's robots won't be able to catch me as long as I stay on my paws." the young wolf said.

With a nod, Tails accelerated the Tornado forward, speeding it up as it flew past the robot army and towards the dock of the main ship of the Egg Fleet. It took no more than a couple minutes before the plane was flying above the main dock.

"Alright, you're all set, White Fang. I installed a small communicator on your pendant so we can maintain communication regardless of where you are." the orange fox explained.

With a quick nod and a smirk, White Fang leaped from the Tornado and dove towards the main dock of the Egg Fleet. The young wolf curled up as he unleashed his spin attack, slicing through any robots who were unfortunate enough to be right below him. Landing on the ship with a loud crash, robots began emerging from inside, ready to open fire on any intruder that came their way. However, as quickly as they spawned, they were quickly decimated as White Fang blasted through them, leaving nothing more than a white blur and smoke from the explosions. As the white wolf weaved around the lasers and bullets that were being ricocheted towards him, he saw what looked like an entrance up ahead that would lead him down somewhere.

'An entrance? Maybe it could be a room that could lead me towards wherever Egghead is holding Sonic?' White Fang said as he avoided the attacks from the robot army.

"White Fang. Can you hear me?" Tails' voice rang through the young wolf's pendant, catching him off guard for a second.

"Wha-? I hear you loud and clear Tails. What's up?" the wolf responded, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

"Eggman's up to something. The robots seem to be withdrawing their attacks outside. Be careful if you run into him or his assistant." the fox warned, a hint of concern evident in his voice.

Before White Fang could respond however, one of the robots fired another laser directly towards him, forcing the young wolf to dodge out of the way quickly. However, he soon realized he had gone through the entrance that he had found, noticing that the room looked completely different to the halls he went through. The room was littered with computer screens that showed different areas of the ship, but one screen in particular soon caught the white wolf's attention as he recognized a familiar blue hedgehog on the screen.

'Wha-!? Sonic!' the wolf gasped in shock as he saw the hedgehog on the screen, but before he could rush off anywhere, an all too familiar evil laugh ran through the wolf's ears.

"Well.. Well.. Look who decided to show up of all Mobians." Dr. Eggman said darkly as he entered the room with Raze following from behind.

"Eggman.." White Fang growled bitterly, getting himself into a fighting position.

"I must admit I wasn't expecting you to barge in my ship, let alone get this far unscathed. However, that hardly makes a difference. In fact, this works out even better for me." the evil genius said with a smirk.

"What do you mean, Egghead?" the wolf questioned, raising a brow in confusion.

"It's simple really.." the doctor said with an evil grin, pulling out a remote from his back pocket, "What you choose to do will determine Sonic's fate."

'What!? That sicko…' White Fang growled underneath his breath, shaking in anger and fury.

"Turn yourself in and no harm will come to the hedgehog, or watch him fall into a slow and painful watery grave if you dare attempt to fight back." Eggman said in a sinister tone.

The white wolf shook angrily as he realized the seriousness of his dilemma, 'What do I do?... If I try to fight, Sonic will die, but if I surrender, Eggman could do who knows what… Unless…'

Unbeknownst to the white wolf, Sonic was in fact watching him from his hold. However, he wasn't just furious at the mad doctor for pulling such a stunt, but was also scared for the young wolf. Despite the fear running through him, Sonic refused to let it show.

'Don't listen to him, White Fang.. Get out of there while you still can.' the blue hedgehog muttered silently, praying that the wolf would make the right choice.

After a few tense moments, White Fang's shaking had suddenly stopped as he decided to drop his guard, much to Dr. Eggman's surprise. The wolf hung his head low and closed his eyes, making himself vulnerable. "Fine.. I'll do it, just so Sonic can stay alive.." he said in a low tone.

'No…' Sonic's eyes widened in horror and disbelief. Surely the wolf wasn't just going to let himself surrender just like that, was he?

"Hmph.. I expected something more out of you, but no matter, the end result will be the same. I hope you'll enjoy reuniting with your dear mother." the doctor grinned evilly as he signaled his robots to take aim.

However, the only one who didn't seem fully convinced was Raze. His face remained stoic as he watched the robots aim their attacks at the white wolf. 'The kid has to be hiding something. I highly doubt he would simply let himself surrender that easily given the fact that the hedgehog of all beings raised him.' he thought to himself.

"FIRE!" Eggman ordered, his robots firing directly at the white wolf upon their master's orders.

Upon hearing the robots open firing, Sonic shut his eyes and quickly turned his head away from the screen, unable to watch the scene any longer. He gritted his teeth and pinned his ears back as he tried to hold back any oncoming emotion that began flowing through him, his body trembling as the shots rang through his ears.

Dr. Eggman laughed maniacally, knowing all too well that he had finally won. Once the robots had ceased their fire, all that remained of where White Fang stood was smoke and nothing more. He was certain that his plans had finally succeeded, almost too certain.

"It looks like I finally won, hedgehog! Mobius is as good as mine!" the evil doctor gloated, but as he began to reach for the remote, it was suddenly missing, "Huh? What the-? Where did it go?"

Just then, a white wind started circulating in the room, destroying many of the robots that had surrounded the doctor. As the wind picked up, robots began firing in random directions in an attempt to hit the source, even getting close to hitting Eggman and Raze on a few occasions. Upon hearing the explosions, Sonic's ears perked up in curiosity, wondering what was going on now. As he looked at the screen once again, the hedgehog immediately recognized the wind that was blowing through the room and destroying the doctor's robots.

'That clever wolf. Tricking Eggman into thinking he'd surrender just so he can create a distraction so he can escape.' the blue hedgehog smirked as he kept watching, a wave of relief and new found hope washing over him.

"Cease your fire!" Eggman ordered, having been forced to duck to the floor so he wouldn't get caught in the crossfire, "What's going on!? That pup was incinerated by my army just now!"

After a few moments, the wind had stopped blowing in the room, ultimately allowing the villains to get back up on their feet. The remnants of the robot army had since stopped their barrage at their doctor's orders. The room was full of smoke, debris, and robot remains from the onslaught caused by the white wind.

"You know.. For a scientist with a 300 IQ, you get fooled by animals way too easily, Eggman." White Fang said as he landed at the entrance of the room, behind Dr. Eggman and Raze with the remote being held by his tail.

"Why you little…" Eggman growled furiously, his face beginning to turn red in rage.

'So… The kid pretended to surrender so he could use the robot army as a smokescreen to make his move.' Raze muttered silently, his blood red eyes narrowing as he turned towards the younger wolf.

"As much as I'd like to stay and play with you, I got someone waiting to see me. I'll deal with you two another time." the white wolf said before dashing out of the room at full speed.

After a couple moments, Dr Eggman stormed to the main computer in the room before turning towards the black wolf, "Raze! I need you to stop that pup from getting to the hedgehog and escaping at any costs! I can not have this plan falling apart, not when I'm so close!"

"Yes, sir." Raze responded, rushing out of the room in hot pursuit, with the rest of the robots following him.

White Fang made a mad dash through the halls of the ship, leaving nothing but a white blur as he blasted through. Despite him not being as fast as Sonic, the young wolf could certainly keep up the pace when need be. 'With the remote now, that should make it easy to get Sonic out of Eggman's clutches. I gotta hurry though.. I'm not sure how much longer Tails can keep the Tornado flying with robots out there ready to strike at any given moment.' he muttered to himself, realizing he could be short on time.

"Tails, can you hear me?" the wolf questioned through the communicator on his pendant.

"Loud and clear. What's up, White Fang?" Tails responded in a rather confused tone.

"I'm heading towards Sonic right now, and I found something that'll allow me to get him out. How's it looking outside with the robots?" the white wolf said.

"I'm keeping them at bay for now, but who knows how long until Eggman launches another barrage of attacks my way. The quicker you rescue Sonic, the better." the fox explained in a serious tone.

"On it. It shouldn't be too much longer hopefully." White Fang said as he came up to another door that seemed to be wide open, 'Sonic's scent is at its strongest. He must be in that room.'

Without a second thought, the white wolf quickly ran into the room. Upon first glance, the room seemed to be pitch black, making it nearly impossible for the young wolf to see where he was going, but the scent allowed him to keep moving despite the lack of light.

"Sonic?" he called out, hoping for a response, "Where are you, Sonic?"

The room was dead silent for a moment as the white wolf looked around anxiously until a familiar voice made his ears perk up, "White Fang? Is that you?"

"Sonic!" the wolf yelled out as he immediately ran towards the source of the sound. He soon saw what looked like a large, water filled tank in the very back of the room. Above it, sure enough, was Sonic being held above it by a large, metallic hand that had a tight, firm grip on him.

"White Fang! I thought you escaped after that stunt you pulled. What are you doing here!?" the blue hedgehog questioned, relieved to see a friendly face, but also surprised that the young wolf made it in the room without a scratch.

"What else do you think? I'm getting you out of here." White Fang responded with a smirk before noticing a panel that seemed to be connected to the tank, "It's a good thing Tails taught me a thing or two about technology whenever you were out patrolling."

After analyzing the panel for a moment, White Fang pressed a button on the panel that allowed the tank to close up, providing solid ground for Sonic to land on. After pressing the button on the remote that White Fang had taken from the evil doctor, the hedgehog found himself landing back on to the hard steel floor.

"With how long that thing was holding me, I thought my whole body would fall asleep." Sonic jokingly remarked, taking a look at the shackles on his wrists and ankles, "Although, I can't exactly run with these things keeping my movement limited."

"I think I can fix that right up." the white wolf said before dashing right towards the blue hedgehog. In a few quick motions, White Fang sliced each of the shackles right in half, allowing Sonic to loosen them up and break out of them.

"Heh heh. Feels good to be able to run again. Though, don't give me a heart attack like that again with that dangerous stunt you pulled on Eggman." Sonic said with a confident smirk, stretching his legs before ruffling the white wolf's fur.

"I can't exactly promise you on that, Sonic. Let's get out of here before Eggman catches up. Tails is waiting for us outside on the Tornado." the white wolf said, but before he could turn to leave, a purple energy blast flew right towards the two, forcing them to dodge out of the way quickly.

"Going so soon?" Raze questioned as he appeared in front of the two heroes with a dark grin. Behind him, many of Eggman's robots also appeared and began surrounding the heroes.

"You again?" Sonic scowled, glaring at the black wolf, "Where's Egghead? I'd like a word with him."

"He's dealing with a few things right now, so unless you'd like to stick around, you'll have to discuss whatever you got with me." the dark wolf responded, his red markings glowing as he took a step closer towards the blue hedgehog.

Before Sonic could respond with a remark of his own, White Fang quickly tapped him with his tail, shaking his head in disapproval. The white wolf had a point, they were short on time, and they had to get out, fast.

"If that's the case, then no thanks. We'll deal with him later. Right now me and White Fang have a ride to catch." the hedgehog said, blasting off at full speed with White Fang following right behind him and forcing the robot army to move out of the way.

"After them, robots! Don't let the hedgehog get away!" Raze ordered as the robots quickly flew ahead, following the heroes in hot pursuit.

In the hallways, Sonic and White Fang blasted through, leaving nothing but two blurs behind and destroying any robots unfortunate enough to get caught in their path. However, more of Eggman's robots were trailing behind in hot pursuit of the two in any attempt to prevent them from escaping. It wasn't long before the two speedsters saw a light coming from the other side of the hallways, indicating that they were almost outside.

"There's the exit! We'll be out of here in no time." Sonic said confidently.

"Right." the wolf responded before speaking to the communicator on his pendant, "Tails! Sonic and I are almost outside!"

"I'm on it! Just keep moving and I'll be able to get you guys on the Tornado." the young fox responded.

"It's great to hear ya, lil buddy!" Sonic said, surprised, but also happy to hear his best friend's voice.

"Likewise, Sonic. However, less talking, more running." Tails said in a somewhat serious tone, not wanting the two to get too distracted.

"Alright, alright. We'll meet ya out there, bud." the hedgehog responded sheepishly, knowing all too well his best friend was right as always.

Once the two made it outside of the ship onto the dock, it was just a homestretch from there, or so they thought. A massive robot came crashing down right in front of the heroes, forcing them to narrowly dodge out of the way so they wouldn't get crushed. The mech's main body resembled a bit of the Egg Dragoon, but it did not have any wings and instead it gained powerful legs and arms, capable of hitting its enemies extremely hard with its attacks. Behind them, the robot army soon caught up with the two, and began surrounding them once again.

"Where do you think you're going, hedgehog!? Your little stay isn't over yet!" Dr. Eggman yelled through the loudspeaker in the giant mech.

"Heh. I thought you wouldn't show up for my departure gift, Egghead." Sonic retorted, his face turning serious as he got into a fighting stance, not in the mood to really toy with the mad doctor this time.

"That's if you even get the chance, rodent." Eggman responded darkly with a sinister grin, unnerving White Fang a bit as he watched the mech prepare for its assault.

"Sonic.. We don't have time to deal with Eggman right now. He's got something up his sleeve." the young wolf warned the hedgehog, a hint of uncertainty in his voice before looking up and seeing the Tornado fly above them.

"Don't worry, White Fang. I'll hold Eggman off long enough for you to get on, and I'll follow shortly after." the blue hedgehog said in response, not moving his eyes off the giant mech for even a second.

With an uncertain nod, the white wolf quickly took off, rushing right at the robots behind them while Sonic blasted himself towards the giant mech at full speed and unleashing a quick, yet powerful homing attack. However, the mech easily deflected the attack and tried to slam its fist down right at the hedgehog, but he easily avoided it with no effort needed. The robot army attempted to open fire on White Fang, but the young wolf simply leaped up and unleashed his own spin attack right at the army, destroying many of the robots in the process. After a few more attempts to crush its enemy, the mech soon stopped moving for a brief second, giving Sonic enough time to launch a barrage of spin dashes and homing attacks at the cockpit of the mech, causing the glass to crack and nearly shatter. Before White Fang could come and assist the hedgehog in the fight, a quick, purple blast collided with him, causing him to tumble to the edge of the dock. Fortunately, he stopped just in time before he could go over the edge, managing to get back up quickly.

"White Fang!" Sonic yelled out in concern upon hearing the blast hitting the young wolf, managing to barely dodge a swipe from Eggman's mech.

"Don't think I'm done with you yet, kid." Raze said as he appeared from the smoke left by the blast, but before he could do anything else, a barrage of bullets forced the black wolf to jump away to avoid getting hit.

"Sonic! White Fang! Come on!" Tails yelled as he flew the Tornado close to the dock.

White Fang nodded as he then turned towards the blue hedgehog, who was still fighting with Eggman, "Sonic! We gotta go! Now!"

After one last kick that knocked the giant mech down, Sonic landed right on top of the cockpit where Dr. Eggman was sitting inside. The mad doctor's face was red with rage and fury as he glared at the hedgehog.

"Why you little…!" the doctor started, but was quickly cut off by Sonic, "We'll finish this another day, Eggman. I"m outta here."

Without a moment left to spare, Sonic jumped off of the mech and dashed off towards White Fang. Unbeknownst to the hedgehog, this allowed the mad doctor to recuperate and prepare one last trick up his sleeve.

"You've made a big mistake, rodent…" Eggman muttered quietly with a sinister grin on his face, careful to not let his nemesis hear him.

"Go ahead and get on first, White Fang. I'll be right behind you." Sonic told the white wolf reassuringly.

With a quick nod, White Fang quickly blasted across the deck, allowing himself to build up enough speed to leap off and land right on the wing of the Tornado. As promised, the blue hedgehog quickly followed suit, leaping right off the deck towards the plane.

"You're not getting away, rodent!" Dr. Eggman yelled as he made his move.

Before Sonic could figure out what the doctor was up to, he felt something clasp around his left ankle and his neck before being violently yanked back onto the deck.

"Sonic!" Tails and White Fang cried out in shock as they saw the blue hedgehog being pulled back to the ship.

Upon crashing on the floor, the hedgehog could've sworn he felt something nearly snap, causing an agonizing pain to shoot up his right leg. Gritting his teeth in order to hold back an agonized scream, Sonic looked behind to see what had exactly happened. His eyes widened in shock as he saw a metal shackle that had ensnared his left ankle and his neck, and the pain on his right leg made matters even worse.

"What's the big deal, Eggman!?" Sonic questioned angrily as he attempted to break free from the shackles.

"It's simple, Sonic." the mad scientist said as he launched two more shackles that had clasped around the hedgehog's wrists, making any escape attempt futile, "I'm not done with you yet. In fact, I'm only just getting started on my plans with you."

'Wha-!? Just what exactly is Eggman planning that involves me!?' the blue hedgehog questioned himself as he continued his attempts to break free, but to no avail.

"Tails, we need to break those shackles somehow!" White Fang said, eyes wide in fear as he saw the mad genius gain the upper hand.

"I'm on it!" the fox responded as he began shooting at the giant mech, unleashing a barrage of bullets towards the mech.

However, the giant robot simply used its free arm to block the shots and fire a laser of its own right at the Tornado. Narrowly dodging the laser, the plane redirected its course, looping around in the sky, preparing to launch another attack.

"Stay out of this, fox boy!" Eggman shouted, not wanting his plans ruined again, "Raze! You know what to do!"

With a quick nod, the black wolf prepared another attack of his own, his red markings glowing as he started gathering dark energy to his front paws. Keeping a steady focus on the plane, Raze's energy soon formed into a blade-like substance on his paws.

"We'll have to try to hit the weak point on the mech." Tails began explaining, "If I can get right above it, you should be able to dive down and break those chains before-"

"Tails! Look out!" White Fang warned as he saw the dark energy rapidly make its way towards the plane.

However, the warning came too late as the energy blasted part of the wing, causing massive damage to the Tornado.

"Not good!" the young fox exclaimed as he quickly looked for any possibility to recover from the blow, but it was of no use as the plane began to go into a nosedive towards the ground below.

"Hang on!" Tails yelled out while White Fang hung on to the plane for dear life as they plummeted to the ground.

Upon hearing the explosion, Sonic immediately stopped struggling as he whipped his head towards the source of the sound. His eyes widened in alarm as he saw the Tornado plummeting towards the ground below, his chances of escaping completely gone now.

"NO!" he screamed out in alarm, realizing his friends could be hurt or worse.

Once again, Sonic began pulling at his chains regardless of how futile his previous attempts were. He was forced to immediately stop though as intense pain shot up through his right leg again, causing him to grit his teeth, letting out a hiss while trying to hold back another scream, all while Dr. Eggman gleefully watched his nemesis' futile attempts to esacpe. Sonic's mind and heart were going a million miles a minute as the fear of what happened to his friends set in. Would they be ok? Would they even survive a crash from such a plummet? However, the hedgehog had no time to think about what ifs and concerns as he suddenly felt something or someone slam his head hard, causing him to black out and lose consciousness.

To be continued…
