Rolling Thunder

Chapter 22th

Doctor Roman needed to say to the Chief Medical Officer that the Captain of the Rolling Thunder was stable for the most part. Though he's been keeping an eye out on his vitals. Currently, his blood pressure was at 130 over 85 slightly high.

He handed the instrument to the Chief Medical Officer to continue on with removing the bone chip from his lower spine. He was making good progress after twenty minutes of looking at the computer screen. "This should do it, Doctor Roman," he noted placing the laser instrument to the side.

Meanwhile, Rolling Thunder will be having another emergency when it comes to the reactor room with the loss of power. The engineer and Chief Petty Officer working together had advised the Commander of the situation that the reactor had shut down and they don't know what had caused it.

It was at this point that the submarine was moving into a trench with the loss of power. The Control room crew had been trying to watch their position with the engineering officers perplexed for the moment. However, they were then knocked around slightly to cause more injuries even though not exactly serious. Even though Captain Williams was lucky that he had been tied down on the gurney while recovering after being taken out of the surgery.

Doctor Roman took a look at his vitals having to be stable. However, he felt a little off after the submarine had shifted position from the loss of power.

He spoke with two of the corpsmen to have the captain settled into a special alcove until the problem with the reactor room is settled.

Sergeant Elkes and Admiral Harriman Nelson had been taking turns with the flyer as the pilots searched for his three submarines. Lt. John Elway's third-class radar man had been watching the screens for anything out of the ordinary.

So far they had been out of luck with searching for the Seaview, Sea Tiger, and Rolling Thunder. However it was a possible chance they will be coming across the Seaview with a special beacon that had been located with Captain Charles Morton, he had asked the engineering crews to send one out to try and contact anyone that is able to pick up the signal.

"Anything Sparks with the signal?" Captain Morton ordered as his voice sounded frustrated mostly with everyone in the Control room working hard to restore the power throughout the submarine. Even Doctor Anthony Sterling had been concerned for the crew and with losing oxygen.

Even the reactor room was under a strain with the crew trying to restore power with Chief Petty Officer Sharkey and even Kowalski doing double work to restore the power.

"I just don't understand why Sharkey has the reactor acting this way in the first place?" Kowalski alluded with a shake of his head.

Sharkey had been looking at the numbers on the screen along with the levels for the radiation were beginning to rise. "I just don't like this Kowalski with the radiation. We need to be getting out of here now before we are exposed further." he cried out with his response moving to the hatchway to be closing it off with a report back to Captain Charles Morton.

Kowalski waited at the last moment to leave with Sharkey telling him with moving his ass before it was too late. "I am coming already Sharkey!" he cried out removing his protection gear minutes later down the corridor before heading back to the Control room.
