Moving on. The next chapter features the song "I put a Spell on you" with a familiar face that doesn't get as much love in the show as he should.
Since I'm going to stick partly to the script of the movie, I'll have to see if I can put in some deleted scenes.
In the story you will also see how the relationship between Alicia and the TCS Devil has developed and will be in the adaptation.
Regarding the boss characters like Bon Bon, I can say that they will be completely different from the show. Meaning Bon Bon will be more calm and a bit crazy while Brineybeard will be like Brock from Pokemon and Sanji from One Piece when he sees Alicia.

"So let's get this straight" said Alicia as they sat in the kitchen with the two brothers, Cuppy and Gemma. With a cup of hot chocolate in her mouth she looked up at Alicia. "So the three witch sisters are after the souls of the children to be young again and live a little longer?" Gemma nodded as she continued to drink from the cup. This sounds almost like the story of the movie Hocus Pocus. Mugman trembled when he heard this and hugged Alicia's right leg while speaking in a trembling voice, "B-b-but they w-w-won't devour our s-s-s-souls, will they?" She felt sorry for him. "Unfortunately, yes," Gemma said, which scared Mugman even more.
Cuppy didn't really feel comfortable hearing that. He liked to keep his soul. "Pah no old creepy scarecrow is going to get my soul!" said Cuphead as he walked strutting out of the kitchen. But everyone knew it was just drivel. The tears of sweat running down his face said it all. "Yes certainly Cuphead" said Alicia as she followed him. He was still convinced that it was just a scary story to scare him. "What's next the Candy Corn Monster?" he said with a laugh. Alicia just rolled her eyes. There were more than enough reasons why she liked Cuppy rather than Cuphead from the cartoon.
But it would take too long to list all the reasons now. "We should hurry before-" "Wait Gemma!" said Alicia as she ran after the cat that was about to open the front door. "Before we run outside, you have to answer one more thing for me," Gemma nodded. "Do the three sisters have any books?". Gemma nodded "But what are you going to do with it?" she asked as Alicia opened the front door of the cottage. "We're going to get the book. But first we have to visit a buddy who also happens to be a wizard" when Gemma heard that her pupils got really big. All five of them went out of the house and ran into the forest. "How far will it take us to get to your buddy?" asked Gemma.
Not far from the group, a figure appeared from behind the trees out of a cloud of smoke. It was the devil. His appearance strongly resembled the devil from the book, only he was not as furry as this, had a red nose, yellow horns and a red iris. His fur is softer and less scruffy and he gained a slight blue tint. He has a small fat belly and his ears are a bit longer and spikier. With his trident in his left hand, he looked around and grinned. He was here not only to collect the souls of Cuphead and Cuppy but also to make Alicia his queen. "This time it will work Henchman" he said as an elevator appeared behind him out of a puff of smoke from which someone exited. The elevator disappeared just like the smoke.
Henchman is a Fat Demon with large, heavyset demon colored in brillant purple. He has a long beaky nose, a pair of short thin horney, small wings, elephant hoof-like feet, pointy devil tails, and slightly loose gloves. Like all Demons he has yellow eyes with red pupils. His face is white, while his horns, wing-webs, and gloves are yellow.
"This time I will grab the souls from the two cups and Alicia will become my queen!" he said as he started laughing. Only Henchman was a little confused. "Duh are you really sure that the plan will work?" the devil looked at him confused when he said that. "It will work, Henchman, I promise". As he said this, a trap appeared on the path in front of them, hidden by leaves lying on the path. In Henchman's hands appeared a large cloth bag. He already suspected what it was for. "If the cups go this way, they will fall into my trap and I won't have any problem collecting their souls" he turns to Henchman "While they are trapped, you Henchman will catch Alicia with this bag and bring her to me".
But Henchman was certainly still unsure "And how do you know the cups will go this way boss?" a sinister laugh answered his question.
While the two were talking to each other, Alicia and the others appeared at a small intersection they had never seen before. Cuphead and Cuppy already ran ahead with joy. Well Cuphead. Cuppy should make sure that he doesn't do anything stupid or that the stupid comes to him. It would not be the first time that he did something stupid. But that was not why Cuppy should run after him. The devil was still after his soul and he still wanted to take her as his queen. Boy I am already taken. Alicia rolled her eyes as she thought about it again. She was already married to the devil. Well, to the one from the book.
That it was on her nerves that the devil here wants to kidnap her again and again could be seen in her annoyed look. "Tell me, how far do we have to go before we get to your buddy-" "AHHHH!" everyone remained silent when they heard the screams of Cuphead and Cuppy. Alicia thought nothing more and ran down the right path followed by Mugman and Gemma. "What's a trap doing here in the middle of the forest?" asked Cuphead as he and Cuppy landed in a hole. The latter lay upside down and gave the other only an annoyed look. "Guess who set up the trap?" Cuphead thought as suddenly hearing a familiar laugh.
"Well, look who fell into my trap" You're not serious, are you? Cuppy growled when he saw the devil's face while Cuphead just shivered and screamed "Ahhhh The devil!". The devil laughed even more as Cuphead clung to Cuppy who just rolled his eyes. "Let me guess, you want our souls?" asked Cuppy as the devil shook his head, "No, I want your souls." Only now did he realize that he was just repeating after him. That made him angry. So angry that flames appeared around his body. However, this did not bother Cuppy. He just stuck his tongue out at the devil, which made him furious. But Alicia and the others knew exactly where they were. "You disgusting cup, I'll show you what it means when you mess with me the devil!". Cuppy now didn't look as confident as before but was also startled when the devil jumped into the trap and approached the two.
His hand slowly reached out and was ready to grab Cuppy's soul if it weren't for the devil's tail pulling him up just in time "What the..." he looked up and saw Alicia standing in front of the trap, just pulling Cuphead out of the hole. "I knew you would show up sooner or later" she said slightly annoyed as she walked past the trap followed by the two Cupheads, Mugman and Gemma who was a bit scared of the devil. The latter was more than surprised to see her here and not in Henchman's bag. But he did not care. As Alicia and the others continued on their way, she suddenly bumped into something soft and black.
A glance up and she looked into his yellow eyes as he slowly caressed her cheeks. "Where are you going in such a hurry, my dearest?" he asked her. Okay that's enough! She freed herself from his clutches and walked past him, continuing to follow the others who were already waiting for her. Gemma was the only one confused and still looking at her. The young witch did not know that Alicia was also a demon. "I didn't know you were-" "A demon?" Gemma nodded as Alicia finished the sentence and became a normal human again, wearing her disguise once more. Luckily, he didn't see the costume. Also, Henchman still seems to be waiting for her until the devil appeared in front of him with annoyed look.
He was about to open his mouth when the devil closed it with his fingers. "Not a word understood?". Henchman nodded and they both disappeared. Meanwhile, the three Batderson sisters were on their way to town until they suddenly noticed something. There were no children present. "Where are the children?" asked Bellatrix as they landed on a rooftop with her sisters and looked at the streets where the disguised residents were walking. Vila smelled with her nose and was getting desperate. "I-I smell children, but I- I don't see children".
Bellatrix and Jinx looked at her in confusion as Vila suddenly began to cry in despair. "I- I've lost my power!" annoyed Bellatrix gave her several slaps in the face "Enough, enough, enough!" she shouted as Vila calmed down again. Jinx meanwhile looked around. "Sorry" Vila said as she calmed down and apologized for her behavior while Bellatrix just looked at her angrily. "We are witches. We are evil! Evil!". When she said that, suddenly there was lightning and thunder behind them. Jinx jumped up in fright and clung to Bellatrix. Vila followed suit. This only made the older sister angrier.
But from the crowd they suddenly heard a hint. "Hey have you heard about that place in the forest that has candy?" Bellatrix freed herself from the clutches of her sisters as she looked down where two children in disguise were talking. "Do you mean the place where the Baroness lives? I would not like to go there," said the other. "Oh, she's changed, and besides, the wolf is with her, too," that changed the other's mind as the two ran out of town toward the forest. "Sisters, I think we know where all the children go".
But Vila still smelled children "But Bella-" she fell silent as Bellatrix turned and looked at her with an angry glare. "How many times do I have to say this don't call me Bella!". Both sisters nodded as they hugged each other in fear. "All Hallows Eve has become a night of frolic..." she points to the children and adults dressed up. "where children and adults wear costumes and run amok!". When Jinx heard this she started jumping up and down like a bouncy ball with Vila in her arms "Amok, amok, amok!" But Vila had had enough, as had Bellatrix, who hit Jinx on the head again to calm her down. "Sorry Bellatrix" she said while rubbing her head.
"Come on, let's follow the kids to the place where the Baroness lives" said Bellatrix as she flew off the roof, followed by Jinx and Vila who were hanging a bit behind "Wait for me, I can't fly as fast as you!" she yelled after her two sisters.
Alicia and the others, meanwhile, arrived at the place the children thought they were. It was a small clearing with a hollow tree that had a passageway. This was blocked by a stand where Blood sat and gave the children who passed by with their parents bags full of homemade candy. "Here you go" Blood said as he handed the bag to a little girl wearing a princess costume. She thanked him and went back with her parents. Behind him he heard a giggle. "The bags are getting fewer and fewer" said a female voice. Blood turned around and saw The Baroness.
They looked very much like the Baroness from the book. Only instead of yellow eyes she had mint-blue eyes, her gloves are white now, and the flounces on her dress are lighter with a shine while the skirt is darker. She also has light pink and white tights that resemble candy canes and dark purplish-pink Mary Jane flats.
Blood was about to say something when he saw Alicia and the others running toward them with someone new. "Alicia, what are you doing here?" asked the Baroness. "And why is a cat with you?" asked Blood as he looked down at the cat. She backed away from him and holds onto Alicia's leg. "You need to get the kids out of here now!" said Alicia. Blood and the Baroness looked at each other in confusion as she said this. "Why may I ask?" asked Blood. But a cackle interrupted the group as the three sisters suddenly appeared above them. The children and the adults fled when they saw them.
Alicia and Blood stood in front of the other. He drew his wand while Alicia transformed into her demon form. "Bon Bon get these four here to safety!" the Baroness nodded and walked with the three brothers and Gemma to the entrance of Sugar Land until one of the sisters blocked their way. "Where are you going?" she asked through bared teeth. Damn it! Alicia used her magic and hurled a lightning bolt at the youngest sister. She lay shaking on the ground, still blocking the way. "The book, we have to steal the book!" said Gemma as she pointed at Bellatrix. "Oh you mean this?" from her robe an old leather book that looked like it was made of human skin. Two eyes peered out of the two locks that held the book shut.
Now it's really like Hocus Pocus. Alicia rolled her eyes. It couldn't be more ironic. "Let me guess in the book is the recipe to brew a potion that will allow you to devour the souls of children?" "Or are you just drinking our blood?" asked Cuphead. Everyone looked at him confused and frightened. He realized "What? They are vampire bats!". All three sisters held their hands over their mouths in disgust. "Really, we don't drink children's blood!" said Bellatrix, disgusted. Vila and Jinx also felt disgusted as they covered their mouths. The Baroness didn't know whether to roll her eyes or not. She did and now knew how the others felt she had always chased with her castle when she turned them into candy.
"But also no matter we will eat your souls already once we..." Bellatrix realized that she was no longer holding the book in her hands and that the group was no longer in front of them but gone. "Where did they go?" asked Bellatrix angrily when her sisters answered her question with a shrug. "You idiots can't do anything!" she said as she slapped them both. Annoyed, the three sisters flew off and searched the forest for the group that had hidden well. While the Baroness with the three brothers and Gemma hid in the bush. Blood and Alicia were hidden in the treetops and gave the others the sign that they could go out.
"You didn't have to steal that book," Blood said as he and Alicia landed on the floor. Thanks to her wolf form, she didn't feel the impact that much. She changed back to her human form and held the book in the shoulder bag she had taken with her. "Hey but see it positive the witches are as good as dead if they don't get the book back" said Alicia. If it's like in Hocus Pocus, they just can't open the book so that the three sisters don't find it. "Maybe so, but now they're looking for us!" Blood said, annoyed, as he joined the others. "If we have the book we must go as soon as possible to a sacred place that is taboo for witches!" said Gemma.
Cuphead looked at her confused "But you are a witch too?", "Yes but only for evil witches this place is off limits!" she answered his question. Alicia thought. "The cemetery!" Mugman gulped when she said that "Why the cemetery?" he said through chattering teeth. He still had the bad memories with the three ghosts that had chased him and Cuphead when they wanted to use the path as a shortcut. Alicia already suspected that he would react like this. "Don't worry, I'll be with you, Mugman, and make sure no ghost scares you," that reassured him, and he took her hand as they walked out of the forest, waving back to the Baroness and Blood. Both still had to clean up but Blood would follow them soon.
But no one saw the devil who witnessed the whole spectacle and boiled with rage. "Unbeliavable! How dare those wretched witches attempt to take souls of children! Only I get to do that!" he said as flames formed around him. Henchman guessed what was about to happen and hid behind a Boulder. Angry and furious, he burned the part of the forest he was standing in with a huge explosion until nothing but ashes, burnt grass and a crater remained on which he was standing. The Boulder behind which Henchman was hiding crumbled into dust. "Maybe you should show the three witches who is the most powerful being here?" he suggested to the devil who slowly calmed down and looked at Henchman who came flying to him.
He calmed down again and thanked Henchman for the idea. "Thank you henchman" he said and gently stroked him over the head as they both disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Alicia and the others were now standing just outside the cemetery. Mugman was still clinging to her leg in fear while Cuphead was ready to walk through the cemetery. Cuppy remained neutral about the matter and was glad that Alicia was not in the devil's clutches. Even if the explosion could not be ignored. Alicia was already taken and belonged to the other devil, at least that's what the wedding ring she was wearing said. "So shall we?" asked Alicia as she looked to the others. Almost everyone except Mugman nodded. The latter did not leave her side. Or to say it better still clung around her leg while she opened the gate.
Everyone entered the cemetery, ignoring all the graves and creepy statues. The full moon did not make the mood any better. At least for Mugman. "So what do we do now?" asked Cuphead as he sat down on a marble bench. "Wait that's all we can do" said Gemma as she and Cuppy sat down next to him. Bored, Cuphead stuck out his tongue. Alicia, in turn, looked around and hoped that Blood would find her soon. He was the expert in magic. Only he could do something with the book. But since Mugman didn't leave her side and kept running after her, he was like a ball and chain to her.
"Why don't you stay with the others?" she asked him. But he just shook his head while trying to reach for her hand. She couldn't say no when he looked at her with his googly eyes. He and the Mugman from the book had this thing in common. And she couldn't stay mad at them. "I'd rather stay with you then the ghosts won't come" Aww. She knelt in front of him and stroked his cheek as he said that. But the mood changed when the group suddenly heard wing flapping and cackling. Frightened, Mugman jumped into her arms while the others joined them.
A glance upward told her. The three witches had found her. "At last we have found you!" said Bellatrix. Mugman clung to her leg again. But she didn't mind, she just tried to hide the book as best she could so the witches wouldn't get it. The three sisters looked around several times. Vila was about to land until she was suddenly shocked. "Damn it we can't land here this is a sacred place!" said the eldest sister as Vila flew beside her shaking slightly. A glance at Alicia told her she had the book. Bellatrix grinned "Book!".
"Alicia your bag!" said Mugman as Alicia's shoulder bag began to float. The button holding the bag shut was about to open if Alicia hadn't shut it in time, which infuriated Bellatrix. "Grrr get the book!" bellowed Bellatrix as Vila and Jinx tried to grab the shoulder bag. But Alicia dodged them both despite the block on her leg. Gemma knew she had to act fast and had an idea as she held a small yellow ball in her hand. "Split up and run away!" said Gemma as she threw a small yellow ball into the sky. "Look away!" she yelled as a bright flash receives the area. The three witch sisters were dazed by the flash and shook their heads several times to see clearly again. "What the!" Alicia and the others were gone. And with them, the book. "Grrrr then I guess I'll have to get my shadow monsters" Bellatrix said as she brought the shadows surrounding her under her control.
Gemma, Cuppy and Cuphead ran through the cemetery until they arrived at a mausoleum. Only Cuppy noticed that Alicia and Mugman were not with them. "Where are Alicia and Mugman?" he asked as the others turned to him and saw what he meant, "Oh Banana Oil! Where did they run off to?" he asked as the others shrugged their shoulders. "We need to find her before-" Gemma said as she and the others heard a loud roar. From a distance, she saw a creature that resembled a reptile with sharp spikes on its back and tail. "I think we should hide for now!" said Cuppy as the others nodded in agreement and fled into the mausoleum.
The sisters were still looking for the book and for Alicia. "Where is that woman who stole the book from me!" growled Bellatrix as she looked everywhere for them. The monsters searched everywhere but there was no trace of them. "Maybe they are not here anymore Bellatrix?" said Vila when she appeared next to Bellatrix. Jinx was also unsuccessful in her search for Alicia and the book. This only made the eldest sister angrier. She knew what it would mean if they didn't find the book in time.
"Maybe we should just look somewhere else" "No they are here" Bellatrix interrupted Vila as she looked at her through gritted teeth. Vila and Jinx winced when they saw the teeth. "Don't you know what the curse does when it's broken?" they both shook their heads. "The curse does let us walk around but if we don't by the next morning. If we don't brew the potion that allows us to suck out children's souls by then, we will crumble to dust and cease to exist!" Vila and Jinx were even more frightened than before. "And let me guess the recipe is-" "In the book!" yelled Bellatrix at her sisters.
While the three were hiding, and the sisters were looking for them. Alicia and Mugman were near an old house. The gate to the other side was locked, but that didn't bother Alicia. If it weren't for the fact that there were only two of them. Why does this have to happen now of all times? Alicia was not very pleased. Only Mugman was glad that he was with her and not alone. "We should look for the others" she said and was about to leave when she heard the roar. Mugman hid behind her and began to tremble.
"Or we should hide for now" said Mugman. She agreed with him and they both went into the house immediately. What they didn't know was that the devil was already in the house. From the window that was above the entrance area, he watched her go inside the house with Mugman. He waited for the right moment before he could grab her and take her with him. In the entrance area of the house, both stayed close to each other. "I don't like it here" said Mugman as he nuzzled her leg to calm down a bit. She stroked his head to calm him down.
"Don't worry no ghost will scare you" she said as she switched to her demon eyes to better look around in the dark. She didn't see any ghosts. But what she did see for a brief moment was a familiar figure leaping toward her. What the... The devil saw Alicia and acted quickly. Before Alicia and Mugman could say anything, they were both caught in a sack. "Hey what are you doing!" "Let us out!" they both yelled as the devil closed the sack and laughed nastily.
Both tried to get out of the sack but the devil had already closed the sack with a rope. His queen was now in his hands. You can say that. Finally he would crown her and make her his queen without anyone jumping in between like Silk or Cuppy. But the devil did not know that he had captured Mugman. Furious about this, Alicia already suspected who had captured her. It could only be one. One who did not take no for an answer. She had already told him several times that she was taken.
Oh no don't tell me "Why would I do that my most precious and future queen of the underworld?" He didn't see it but Alicia rolled her eyes. Laughing, the devil went into the elevator that appeared behind him from which Henchman came. "Did you capture Alicia?" he asked as the devil nodded and set the sack beside him. "Yes, I have her, so shall we go home then?" the devil asked Henchman as he pressed the button and the elevator disappeared in a puff of smoke while the devil laughed.
Meanwhile Blood arrived at the cemetery and already suspected when he saw Jinx flying in the air that something was wrong. Where are the others? he asked himself as he slowly walked through the cemetery looking for the others. Thanks to his nose, he quickly tracked down Cuphead, Cuppy and Gemma. But there were no traces of Alicia and Mugman. He wanted to look for her, but when he heard a growl not far from him, he decided to go to the nearest mausoleum. "Blood?" asked a voice behind him. He turned around and used the crystal that was in his wand as a flashlight and lit up the room. Cuphead, Cuppy and Gemma were with him in the mausoleum. "Where are Mugman and Alicia?" he asked.
But the others only gave him a shrug of the shoulders. They did not know that Alicia and Mugman were in the underworld and were in the devil's throne room.
