I tweaked the last chapter a bit, nothing major though. Thank you to everybody who has in someway shown their appreciation to this story. Also Guest, are you the same person or two different guests?
When Charlotte entered the throne room, she saw three empty thrones. Then it all blurred in front of her and the Volturi kings were sitting on them.
The dude on the foremost throne grinned at her. Creep.
"Hello child. I am Aro. This is my brother Caius, and this is Marcus."
Okay. That made sense. Marcus was the depressed one. Caius was the sadistic one and Aro was the happy one.
"Um. Are you like, actually brothers? Cause you look kinda different. Is it a sore topic? Sorry."
"Of course we are not brothers by blood. Fool." Caius hissed angrily. "This petty mortal could not tell an elephant from a mouse."
"Jeez." Charlotte muttered, but of course every vampire heard it because of their oh-so-perfect hearing.
"You puny mortal dare disrespect me?" Caius growled.
"FYI I'm not a mortal."
Charlotte had a picture in her minds eye. One of her putting her fist next to each other. Then she'd slowly turn one, like she were winding a jukebox. And slowly, up would rise her middle finger.
But, Charlotte didn't have the guts to do it. Caius' face was already beet red. If he got any redder, he'd explode.
Aro grabbed Caius' hand. Woaaah.
"Is there some sort of gay romance going on here?" Charlotte thought. "Maybe it's a love triangle between Aro, Marcus and Caius. Sounds like some cringe show that would get a 0.3 from Imdb or a 3 in rotten tomatoes."
"Come here child." Aro crooned like he was talking to a toddler. "Let me read you mind."
"No thanks."
"Demetri, bring her over."
"How about no." Charlotte quipped.
Demetri gently pushed her forward, as a sort of warning. Charlotte dug her heels into the ground. Then, she was hoisted up and slung over a cold, hard shoulder.
"Hey! No manhandling! Fragile cargo here! Hello?"
Demetri's response was a grunt, which he somehow managed to make sound mildly attractive.
As soon as Demetri but Charlotte down, she tried to escape, without avail. He caught her and held her tight to him so she couldn't move. Charlotte totally wasn't enjoying this.
Aro touched her face. "Hands to yourself sicko!" She was ignored. Aro was reading all of her deepest darkest, thoughts, desires, and secrets.
Don't think of what you thought of when seeing Demetri. Don't think of what you thought of when seeing Demetri. Don't think of what you thought of when seeing Demetri.
Dang. She thought of it. Too late.
Aro, being the sicko he was giggled and then continued reading her thoughts.
"She's alright. No evil thoughts. Charlotte is free to go."
"But what if I just thought of something now huh?"
Aro just kept smiling. I mean, seriously he'd be in that toothpaste commercial. They'd see him and be like "Hired!" immediately.

The room Charlotte was brought to was nice. Like one of those 300 bucks per night hotels you'd see on and never actually go to because, holy shit they were expensive. Like those fancy chalets that you could rent out with a dozen Jacuzzis and ten pools, indoor and outdoor.
The shower was bigger that her bathroom at home. Her showerhead had around ten different massage functions, next to it an elegant bathtub. The sink was huge and the toilet seat was heated.
The room itself had a small corner with curtains, supposedly a dressing room. Then there was an empty walk-in closet. Her bed was huge with silk sheets and perfectly fluffed pillows. There was a beige rug in the middle of the room. There was a couch in front of a real fireplace, the other couch was next to a TV. Charlotte could get used to this.
The free slippers at the door were soooooooo soft. They were almost the best part of the room.
But, the best part was the balcony. Her room wasn't underground like the throne room. It was on the highest floor with a beautiful view of the Italian countryside, and brick homes and small alleyways.
Her floral dress billowed in the wind, along with her wavy, golden hair as her manicured hands delicately clutched the railing.
Hah! Charlotte knew she looked a mess. Her T-shirt wasn't ironed. Her jeans slightly too small, ending before her ankles because she couldn't have been bothered to buy new ones. Her converse were very dirty. And her hair did not billow. Not was it golden or wavy. Her hair was straight, brown, slightly tangled, faintly greasy looking and smelling as well as ugly, with loads of split ends. She didn't look ugly, by most standards. Just very slightly dishevelled. Okay, maybe more than slightly.

When Charlotte had taken a nap, shower and changed her clothes she went vampire hunting. Garlic and all. She was still wearing the same clothes, but her hair looked much cleaner and she had cleaned the grime off her converse.
"What are you doing, wandering the halls?"
"I need food." That was her excuse.
"We don't have a kitchen here. Leave the castle take two rights, then a left and then take the second right. Then you'll see a shop called 'Bella's flowers'. From there on take a right and then the third left and then a right again. Understood?"
"No."
Demetri closed his eyes and sighed, like one would do when dealing with a stupid person. "I'll take you there."
A long (no matter what Demetri said it was) walk later they made it to the outskirts of the city.
"Are you gonna suck my blood?" The pub they were in front of was shady.
"Your blood is not appealing to me. It is far to sweet."
"Awwwww. Are you saying I'm sweet? Thanks." Charlotte gushed, only after she had snorted.
Demetri pushed open the door and sat down at the bar. The restaurant was surprisingly full with locals. This was probably the only place in town where you could get food for a decent price, the tourists would never come here.
"I'd like some red, red wine please." Demetri told the bartender. The drink her received was red. Really red. And it had a faint coppery smell to it. Charlotte had no snappy remarks as she felt the bile rise into her throat.
"Please excuse me." She croaked, rushing into the bathroom.
