(Happy Harbor highway) 11 pm
As Artemis approached the Cave, she found herself and her mind wandering to what Oliver had said to her. She thought there was no way that Dick only stayed up so late to patrol with her because he liked her. she pulled into the Cave's secret garage entrance, once again shaking her thoughts about Dick from her head as she parked her bike. she walked into the kitchen trying to find signs of any of her team members, as she hadn't seen anyone so far. "Dick!! where are you?" She starts running through her mind where she can find dick. "Dick are you in here-" she couldn't finish her sentence as she walked directly into a very muscular shirtless torso. She shook her head and then her jaw dropped as a sweaty shirtless dick Grayson stood smirking in front of her with a towel tossed over his shoulder. "You ok arty we've got to stop running into each other like this" he chuckled as Artemis groaned at his awful pun, " I heard you yelling my name what's up I was in the gym". He started putting his shirt back on, Artemis secretly wishing he wouldn't, "yea I-I-um wanted to talk to you about something, um I just don't-don't know to say it". As it came out Artemis felt her cheeks burn with a blush, as she couldn't bring herself to look Dick in the eyes. "Do you wanna sit and talk", he motioned to counter bar stools over in the kitchen as he pulled out a seat for her. Artemis slowly sat down and looked up at dick for the first time in 10 minutes and realized his big blue eyes were just staring at her waiting till she was ready to talk. Damn those blue eyes now I have to say something, how do I even start I've liked him at points and he's an amazing person but I never thought I'd tell him these things oh shit I have to say something now. "Do you remember that month we did patrol for a month and it was just us as kids and we would finish early and fit and talk down by the docks?", dick raised an eyebrow and nodded looking a little lost as Artemis cleared her throat and prepared to tell the boy-er man that she liked the truth. "We only started patrolling together because I would only patrol with you because I had a crush on you back then." Dicks mouth was kinda hanging open a little and his eyes were softly glued on the blushing archer before him. "I've had a crush on you since the day I figured out who you were, and I know what you're thinking when did I figure it out before you told me and it was when you took the ugly stupid photo of us at Gotham academy and it was your cackle that gave it away you had the same one as robin and I just connected the dots, your sunglasses didn't do much I don't how the rest of team didn't figure it out I just started dating Wally and my feelings went down and I'm rambling I-I'm sorry I should've said something years ago it's not fair to bring it up now and just had to say something I-." Artemis' rambling confession was cut short by Dick kissing her softly as the emerald archer sat at first wide-eyed in shock then started to kiss back. As duck pulled away after a few minutes he smiled softly at her and said, "arty, I've had a crush on you ever since you joined the team, you're tall, beautiful, incredibly strong and skilled and you've been through so much and still such an amazing person and friend, well I don't know what we are now that I finally kissed you but I held in feelings too." Artemis looked shocked again, " what do you mean finally kissed Grayson," she asked with a cocked eyebrow and sly smile. "Well id be lying if I said I hadn't thought about kissing you for er-um years" he said embarrassingly rubbing the back of his head. "Can I ask you something i should've asked a while ago arty?" He asked taking her hand in his. "Yea..of course you can" Artemis asked nervously. "What are you doing tomorrow, I just wanted to see if you'd go out somewhere with me tomorrow, it doesn't have to be a date I know you and Wally have stuff to work out I just haven't spent much time with you recently and I wanted to go out tomorrow and-." Dick was cut short by Artemis putting a finger in his lips to quiet him and she smiled widely with a soft smile. "Dick, Wally and I are done, the truth is our spark has been long gone and he's been distant to the point of me becoming worried so me and him have nothing anymore, and I'd love to go somewhere with you tomorrow we can decide if it's a date after the days over." Dick smiled goofily as he stood up, took her hand in his and kisses it lightly. " I guess I'll see you tomorrow then, meet by the garage at 10 am and we'll decide where we're gonna go." He smiles softly and then walks back to his room, Artemis finds her head spinning and her heart fluttering, oh my fucking god, did dick just kiss me?!! Did he just ask me out, I mean Wally and I are done he just left me here with no explanation and then went dark but oh my god I guess I have a date tomorrow morning. What am I gonna say and wear and how am I supposed to act, oh god I hope it won't be awkward. Artemis found herself surprisingly outside her door as she must've been completely lost in thought as she walked. She entered her room and sat on the edge of her bed just in disbelief for a few minutes and then decided to get ready for bed and lick an outfit in the morning as she would be up all night overthinking. She got ready and then sat her in bed processing everything that just happened as she drifted off to sleep.

Dick was laying in bed watching tv as he let his mind wander back to when he kissed Artemis. Oh my god, I actually did it, I've been thinking about kissing her for years and I actually did it. She just started rambling about liking me for all these years and she looked so cute rambling and nervous and I just couldn't hold back anymore. God I hope I didn't overstep I mean she did kiss back so I guess it was okay I haven't kissed anyone since Babs and that didn't end very well. Shit! I have no idea where to take her tomorrow! Dick started to look at places on his phone till he drifted off to sleep.
[Batcave]
As Bruce stood in his dark sanctuary, he smiled slightly as he and his loyal father figure and butler Alfred closed the security feed of the Cave they had been monitoring. "Master Bruce, do you think now they've finally admitted their feelings to each other they'll finally learn happiness?" "Well Alfred it's been a long time since Dick has been happy, so I hope so. God knows it's about time they said something I was beginning to feel like it'd never happen." They both smiled and chuckled happily as they entered the elevator to Wayne manor.
Down by the Gotham docks, a cavalcade of white moving trucks pulled into the lot, some with big green spray-painted question marks on the side others with hideous smiles on the side that looked like graffiti. The trucks began being unloaded by a group of masked thugs carrying wooden crates labeled 'explosives' to the Sewall holding back the salty waves from the city and others around the wooden beams that support Gotham wharf and pier. Two dark scary silhouettes stand watching the action cackling maniacally as the trucks and goons finish up and begin leaving silently.
