Unintentional Words
"You are too tense. Let your muscles relax."
"I know, it's a bit hard."
"It will be hard for your body to adjust so soon but with time it will get better."
"Ah!"
"Are you okay?"
"Sorry I just hurt myself a bit."
"I am here, just let me guide you."
The hell am I hearing. Murayama could only sweat drop at the scene in front of her. It was rather early as the sun had not yet risen fully. The club had just opened its door so there were only three individuals at the moment.
The reason for the early training is to help a junior with training as she had asked Kaito the day prior for help. Kaito agreed after hearing of her plead, when he had confronted Murayama she couldn't help but ask.
"Is this another one?" She spoke dryly, her arms crossed which to many made her look mad. She wasn't but Kaito did not seem to react.
"I'm sorry if I'm being a bother," He said looking apologetic.
"You aren't but you know we have actually teachers to y'know teach. Well I guess it can't be helped, you are lightening our workload," She sighed, wondering how she got a workaholic as a friend.
"Thank you Murayama-san."
As her reminiscing ends she noticed Kaito stating that he had something to do before coming back. On his way she saw him carrying a small bento, wondering who is he giving it for.
"Well I can confidently say you're improving, congratulations!" She said happily, nearly starting the white haired girl.
"Ah thank you Murayama-senpai but I can't take all the credit, Kaito-sempai has been very helpful," A small blush colored the purple eyed girl, her body shuffles uncomfortably at the compliment.
"Oh I'm sure he has Ria-san~"
"Yes he really is a good teacher."
"Uh hah."
"People really misunderstand him."
"They do huh."
"I mean he is really nice-" Ria forced herself to stop as her head robotically turned to a smirking Murayama.
A short pointed silence surrounded the both of them.
"Oh no keep going. I see you were enjoying yourself," Her tone was sincere but her face showed the sadistic smile of a devil.
Akeno would be proud.
Comforting A Cat
Sat atop the roofs of Kouh is a familiar, golden eyed lol-petite girl that was Koneko. With legs crossed and a rather adorable pout on her face.
It is the picture of an impatient chil-young woman.
Suddenly the doors to the roof were opened. Koneko's rather good hearing made her notice the small squeaking.
Stepping out from the door is Kaito who walks to Koneko once meeting eye contact with. Koneko felt an immediate sense of contentment, a feeling reserved for a few.
"Did you want to talk about something Koneko-san?" Kaito asked after a short period of silence.
Koneko nodded, gesturing him to set beside her. Kaito still unaware and confused complies.
Their was a brief silence before Koneko brought forth two small bentos, initially Kaito thought nothing of it. As rather small Koneko is, the amount of food she eats astounds him.
Just don't tell her she eats too much. Not that Koneko would get offended, she doesn't really care what other people say, mostly but she does like her food.
So it came as a surprise when one of the bento was presented to him. Kaito recognizes the gesture but fails to see the reasoning as if he was trying to solve the greatest of equations.
Naturally the young girl-woman-girl furrowed her eyebrows, indignantly. Kaito seeing this, relents and kindly accepts the gesture.
"This is good," Kaito commented, indeed the meal is a simple combination of grilled fish, (Kaito suspects mackerel, it's hard to tell) rice and vegetables.
A small, barely noticeable smile crept on Koneko's face. A shudder of happiness welled within, a feeling of excitement; hope, something she has forgotten since-
"Wow Shirone, at this rate you'll surpass Onee-chan!" You made me happy, you made me feel hope; excitement and love.
Considering what you have done later, I wonder did you really love me?
Was any of it real?
"Buchou made it," Koneko lied, unable to truly say what she wanted. To meet someone else's expectations. To be praised and to be loved.
Make no mistake, Koneko receives ample love from her new family. New older sisters and brother that she could depend on.
A new family that she can love.
And yet dread will always resurface in her mind like a vipers grip, never letting go, she had hoped that she could let go.
But somethings can never be let go.
Feeling a shift in Koneko's mood Kaito placed his hand on top of the shorter girl's head. He had felt a major change within Koneko, a feeling of helplessness, a loss of what was once.
He could not understand Koneko-no he could not understand the circumstances that brought on these emotions for her. A past that she would not reveal and a future she could not say.
But he does know this, at this moment the person beside him needed someone to be next to her...to assure her and even if that person lacks the ability to truly help her.
Then being beside her is all she needed.
A tranquil silence, followed by the bright sun bathing them in its brilliance. An aura of peace brought by the tenderness of one.
At this moment Kaito is what Koneko needed.
Book-Lovers
It was any other day for Kaito and the school president. They were both in the process of organizing files needed to keep the school afloat.
Kaito himself was not too privy on the details as this could be considered matters beyond him, at least that is what was told to him.
Still he was willing to lend a hand when he noticed the majority of the student council members were missing. When Kaito had asked he was given a simple response.
"They are currently dealing with other matters?"
Well I supposed there is much more going on with the student council if they have matters outside the school.
"Oh Hyoudou-kun, have you read Nineteen Eighty Five by Charlotte Orwell?" Shitori-Kaichou asked as she carefully organizes a plethora of files.
A difficult feat yet Shitori seems to hardly break a sweat. Actually you can say she almost enjoys it by the small smile grazing her lips.
"Yea, I have," Kaito replied simply, as he moves from shelf to shelf.
The class president hummed, a small glint in her eyes shined as an opportunity was opened, an opportunity she rarely indulges in.
"Then if you don't mind, after we're done. Would you mind a discussion about the story?" Shitori possess the question to Kaito with a dissimulative expression.
"Ok."
With that and not before long both finished all of the organizations. Shitori could not help herself but be quite...how should to say, excited. A feeling that is rarely felt for the stoic young woman. One reserved till the day, she may build the foundation of her dream.
Yet a hobby she does not indulge often and this...is her chance. A chance she will not waste.
A sounds of light chatter filled the student council room as both individuals discussed the contents of the story.
The settings, the drama, the characters, all they found charming in their intended ways and in ways exclusive to certain individuals.
"I still find it hard to believe that Kimiko would betray her own sister. I mean it feels so contradictory to her own character," Shitori said with a narrowed gaze.
"You believe so." Kaito stared on inquisitively.
"I don't know if it's a story error or an indented effect. I just lack any evidence to decide," Shitori gave her own thoughts while Kaito contemplated his own.
"Perhaps that's the point," Kaito said, evenly which garnered him a confused glance from the raven-ette.
To see others for how you want to see them.
Not how they see themselves.
"Sometimes one's actions may seem contradictory to one's personality but it usually boils down to how others sees another's actions," Kaito elaborated further with Shitori following along.
A perception from one to another
Perception, a term not spoken in the world she lives in.
A world that decides for you.
Shitori couldn't help but give her own options.
"But that doesn't change the nature of their actions."
A dream to better others.
"Maybe the individual in question does not sees his or her actions as contradictory but rather other people."
They are both the same.
"I suppose that makes sense."
What will their future hold.
A dream forgotten or one given form.
Brother Please
"C'mon Kai, please give it a shot!" Yelled an excited young man showing similar physical characteristics to a familiar brunette.
Currently Kaito was in company with his younger brother Issei. Normally Kaito would be happy to spend time with Issei but unfortunately Issei's idea of 'spend time' is rather...
"Issei I-I don't think that this is appropriate," Kaito stuttered with a small blush warming his face.
It could be said he is used to this but the idea...does not help but still make him...let's just say blush.
"Kai you need to learn to be a man! To finally see what you've been missing out on!" Issei insisted, shouting in conviction as he tried to pull his brother.
"Issei I don't...I really don't want to-"
"Peek at the kendo club~" A curious voice, a familiar one, one filled with amusement which caused Kaito to stiffen.
He almost seemed scared.
And yet the opposite effect occurred for Issei as he had now released Kaito. His face turned...weird as he smiled widely and his eyes became focused.
Appearing between both brothers is a young woman with a distinct purple hair tied in a ponytail. Her ever present smile was sincere as could be in the eyes of many.
An angel had befell, one to be forever immortalized within the school halls as in ideal woman.
But Kaito knew better. Oh lord did he know the person that stands before him and not what that woman puts up as a façade.
He was never a devout Christian, unlike his childhood friend but...god have mercy.
Sadly no god came for him, just a devil.
After school, as the bright day turned to a silent dawn and as the sky began to turn in for the night.
Walking down the sidewalk were the two brothers walking side-by-side of each other. Issei stared...more like glared at his brother in jealousy while Kaito looked as if he just want to go home.
"Kai," Issei said, deceptively calm and his eyes stared deadpanned at his brother.
Kaito hummed in response awaiting the inevitable winds to hit.
"HOW THE HELL DID YOU MANAGE TO ATTRACT THE ATTENTION OF HER!!!" Issei yelled, might as well to the heavens as his voice generated winds that blew his hair backwards.
Luckily it seemed no one else is around based on observations.
Unaware that a certain loli-young woman is currently suffering from a headache far away.
"Oh you mean Himejima-senpai?" Kaito replied casually as if nothing out of the norm has happened. He is currently combing his hair locks.
"Of course!...Himejima Akeno is dream for any Japanese boy. Her figure is too unreal!" Small tears ran from his eyes and his fists clenched when imagining Akeno in a...deeper look.
"If her figure is unreal then how is she here?" He commented almost...sarcastically, Issei had to a double-take.
"Don't sass me you know what I mean," He said strongly as he stared, daring Kaito to continue.
Kaito, despite his rather passive demeanor can on occasion show passive aggression which usually comes in the form of sarcastic remarks or deadpan remarks.
The only known receiver of these words is standing beside Kaito, walking beside him.
"Thank you for believing in me brother."
"..."
"..."
"Shut up."
"Of course."
That's is it everyone.
Welcome to another Life In Blood Haze.
Before anything else I'll say that I realized that last chapter said chapter 2 will be on the 9th of October, yeah wrong chapter number sorry. Anyway I hoped you had enjoyed chapter 1.
Another thing I would like to say is that these interactions were planned to be in the main story chapter but I felt it dragged too much for what their worth which is why you noticed the interactions introducing new stuff like Sona's book interest, a certain black cat and half of a crow.
That's why these interactions are considered canon but they act as more of an add on. Also I need to write something aside from the main story that's going to be quite action packed.
Anyway that's it and since we have no comments, let's get into the bloopers. (I really don't know what to call them)
Bloopers
"I mean he is really nice-" Ria forced herself to stop as her head robotically turned to a smirking Murayama.
A short pointed silence surrounded the both of them.
"Oh no keep going. I see you were enjoying yourself" Her tone was sincere but her face showed the sadistic smile of a devil.
Soft giggling rang in an area far from the kendo club but not that far. Residing in a school building, its frame decorated in vines showcasing the buildings age.
Despite this one could say it looks peaceful. Like a laid grave of distant past, resting till it disappears. And yet within the building the soft giggling does not stop.
What kind of sick creatures live-
"Akeno would you please," Stressed words by a young woman with bright red hair.
"Hahhhhh...My apologies Buchou," After apologizing the woman returned to her laughing.
"Akeno you've been laughing for the past five minutes. To be honest it's starting to freak me out."
"Let's just say, I feel like someone understands me," The young woman, Akeno would continue her fit of giggles until much later.
Kaito felt a chill like any other.
Then being beside her is all she needed.
A tranquil silence, followed by the bright sun bathing them in its brilliance. An aura of peace brought by the tenderness of one.
At this moment Kaito is what Koneko needed.
A moment to picture, forever in Koneko's mind, a moment frozen in time, one she will forever hold. Unshakable, unbreakable but as they say it's only a matter of time.
The past can come up in mysterious ways.
Suddenly a sharp cry shattered the silence. Koneko's eyes narrowed, it shounds almost familiar to her ears while Kaito looked around, worryingly.
"Damn it monkey boy!"
That voice.
"Ah sorry Kur-"
"Shush, do you want Shirone to find us!"
That name.
"Er no."
"Exactly! It's already hard enough to spy on Shirone. I don't want you messing this up."
"Alright but...won't your sister and her boyfriend hear us like this."
"..."
"..."
"..."
""What.""
Kaito looked so confused right now and that strange man start making pitiful whines based on the shouts of help behind school roof fans.
It sounds like he is being beaten up.
Who are they?
Why are they spying on us? Should me and Koneko-san run.
Did they seriously think-
...
...
Where is Koneko-san?
Unaware of pleas of help doubling as another join in. White and black came together for the first time, unaware only focusing on the man beneath them.
Congrats Monkey Boy.
Okay really goodbye for now and see you next time.
Chapter 2 on the 16th October
